I wonder what would've happened if the German codes weren't cracked, and the German leadership didn't make major strategic blunders. Also, were some of the blunders the result of psychotic/demonic influences?

Their fighting forces were just like the South Vietnamese. You fought until you were killed, disabled or defeated and some did this from 1944 until 1975. No 12 month tours for them.
Related thought: Were any studies done during, and after, WWII of the German armed forces and their allies of shell shock/PTSD? It seems to me the German forces were committed from an early time, with regular involvement over a long period, then throw in some brutal battles, defeat, and captivity. I have a book that goes into this somewhat on the US side.
