On Tuesday, Taya Kyle, the widow of Navy SEAL hero Chris Kyle, reacted to Nike's new ad campaign featuring former NFL QB and national anthem kneeler Colin Kaepernick. Taya, whose family understands real sacrifice firsthand, slammed the corporation for their widely-criticized claim that Kaepernick somehow "sacrificed everything" by taking a knee.
"Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything," says the Nike ad, laid over a photo of Kaepernick's face.

does every one understand that New Balance shoes are manufactured in the United States of America and not in Peoples Republic of China????
ReplyDeleteafter you have burned you Nike shoes and whatever else swoosh crap you have chosen to rid yourself of; you should consider supporting the United States Worker instead of the Chinese worker. I have nothing against the Chinese worker, but I would rather those looking for quite good footwear to support our own.
now I believe we should all have a moment of quiet to pray for troops in contact.
For flip flops buy Rainbow out of San Clemente. Guaranteed that the straps will never fail and I have had many using in Vietnam and elsewhere. I wear them until there are holes clear through them..
DeleteSince Kaepernick has sported a tee shirt with Fidel Castro, it would seem a more fitting sacrifice would be to emigrate to Cuba and submit himself to that Communist system. But then he would have to forego the lucrative contracts and only be able to express himself publically within the constraints of the one party, totalitarian system lest he be jailed or perhaps unceremoniously shot. --Ron W
ReplyDeleteThat would be good to see.
DeleteI wonder if anyone in the media has quizzed him re: his apparent support for the Cuban Communist Dictator under whom what he supposedly protests here is far worse there? A while back, Sean Hannity invited these NFL players, including Kaepernick, to devote a whole show to explain their greviances. No show! I suspect they were afraid of such questions. --Ron W
DeleteThey probably can't form two coherence sentences in a row.
