CBS News White House correspondent Major Garrett on Friday said that it "should be noted" that the Obama administration attempted to "demonize" Fox News regularly.
"There was never an effort to shut me out of the briefing room," Garrett told Hill.TV's Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti on "Rising," referring to the Trump White House revoking press credentials from CNN reporter Jim Acosta.
Garrett worked as a White House correspondent at Fox News during the Obama administration.
"The [Obama] White House said it was at war with Fox News. I was its most visible editorial representative on the White House grounds as a senior White House correspondent," he continued.

Gee, sometimes life gets just too too hard! sucks to be you. find a different job.
ReplyDeleteYep and they should neglect to ever call on him. Seems simple to me.
DeleteRemember when the grade school teacher was absent for some reason, or even the university humanities 'professor', to those with the misfortune, and an assistant would wheel out a VCR/TV.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the regulation used to create 'free speech zones', under the previous admin?.
What's good for the goose...
If we keep letting private corps, represent themselves as having 'natural rights' as a FICTION, they will intentionally scuttle the individual's rights by claiming a group entitlement. It's simply a judiciary arts trick, enforced by a gun.
VCR/TV.
DeleteDidn't have those when I went to school!

Yup.
major garret never tried to argue with obama as Acosta has tried with trump.
ReplyDeletegarret asked a question, got an answer, asked a follow up, and f Obama didn't answer, garret passed the mike and sat down.
Acosta refuses to shut up and sit down, he tries to debate trump, even when trump has made it clear he was thru answering Acosta's questions.
there is a world of difference between a reporter doing his job, and a hack trying to score points
What he needs is to be taken behind the 'Old Gym' :)
DeleteAt Greenbrier Military School, it was a given that there would be fights, and the only stipulation was that they could only occur behind the "old gym." Back when there was some common sense still left. Once there was this braggart who picked on a small kid from WV, until the day came that he was challenged. We all went out and waited while the braggart made fun of the small boy continuously as they got ready. Well, of course, you can guess the rest of the story, as the small boy beat the living crap out of the braggart grinding his face into the gravel, and it wasn't a pretty sight. No more bragging, needless to say, and life went on in formation, and at the dispensary as usual.
