Special counsel Robert Mueller's office pushed back on a "bombshell" report published by BuzzFeed News on Thursday, describing elements of the report as "not accurate."
In a statement to BuzzFeed News, a spokesperson for special counsel Robert Mueller's office wrote:
BuzzFeed's description of specific statements to the Special Counsel's Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen's Congressional testimony are not accurate.

Why are we surprised that the un substantiated allegations by buzzfeed are shown to be false?
ReplyDeleteDid they not only bring us the Trump dossier?
Batting zero. :)
DeleteThis lil "lie" got swatted down within 30 minutes after Mark Levin came on air yelling that the leak had to be from the Special councils Office. Mark called the DOJ to open up an investigation into WHO on the Special Council leaked this information. At the top of the hour, FOX NEWS interrupted the News broadcast with the "BREAKING NEWS, SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: That Bob Mueller had released a statement saying that the entire story by Buzz Feed was absolutely false in everyway."
ReplyDeleteMind you the story had floated out there permeating and percolating throughout the world wide web for about 6 hours. There was an awful lot of chatter/feeding frenzy/wild accusations and outright cries for impeachment from the salacious news media, and Demonrat Leaders. No one bothered to verify, it was GOLDEN! To some degree as Mark read the article he may have believed it too. It may yet prove to be an actual leak from the Mueller team. A LIE TOLD AROUND THE WORLD, so to speak, until Mark Levin pushed back with the call for an immediate DOJ investigation. Egg was on many prominent faces by 2130 hrs. D.C. time Friday evening.
Good analysis.
