This is another prime example of a successful entertainer believing his wealth and popularity somehow transforms him into be an expert on world affairs and political topics inside the United States. I wonder if Tom has ever heard of The Dixie Chicks?
Thanks Brock, hadn't seen that yet.....Bluesfest, huh? Can't show the flag? That certainly appeared to a minority making racist comments in Canada.....
Laudy Chillin's it Da Boogie Man what done put on 'dem flag shorts Run for yall's lives!
What a crock of chicken crap. If the man had been wearing American flag shorts they would have been celebrating because he was disrespecting Old Glory. Apparently now it's not even PC to disrespect the Rebel flag, let alone honor it. Makes me want to buy some Maple Leaf toilet paper.
Bob Rusaw for Governor of NY! Thanks Bob. We are now being injured by what people wear and how they look. I'm offended by shitbird's booger jewelry. I'm also offended by swishy fags in sweaters who sound like women. Deal with it.
On the other hand please keep pushing because you're going to eventually push this hot dog cart over the stairs and then it all changes.
The brain dead sheeple may care what their favorite entertainer has to say on sundry topics, as for myself their influence in shaping my opinion or stand is, in mathematical terms; zero. I am still baffled by this notion that I should care or take seriously what any entertainer has to say about any topic. Yes they do have the right to state their opinion, but at the same time I have the right to ignore them. I never did like Tommy's music. I mockingly called his group, Tom Petty and the whiners. Some one help me here. What was the last good thing that came out of Canada, excluding maple syrup and good fishing lakes? Those who continue to make the Confederate flag an issue, demonstrate that they ALL have way too much free time on their hands. And, if they have the money to go around and make it an issue, then this is on time when I can say, THEIR tax rates are not nearly high enough. Once again lefties are more concerned with symbolism than with substance. It is easier to feel good, than to actually do good (credit to Dennis Pragger).
Every time someone is offended by a rebel flag I just wish they would remember that I am highly offended every time I see the sign for MLK highway or street and there is one in every town.
The MLK in my town is a major business boulevard. It's lined from one end to the other with strip malls, restaurants, offices and car dealerships. Every one of them had to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars when the street name change was forced on them. One car dealer I know told me the change cost him over $20,000.00 in signage, letterheads, bill heads, print advertising, etc. All to honor a womanizing itinerate preacher who, had he not been killed, would just be another Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.
Good evening Gentlemen. Tom Petty's stupidity didn't provide near the ammunition as the discrimination of Mr. Rusaw. My post last night also includes an apology on behalf of the idiots around me. The two idiots displayed on the news ARE NOT an accurate representation of Canadians, but an example that we are seeing the same political crap up here that you are there. There are people here just as upset as you are. Some are quite willing to do the right thing rather than the easy thing, despite the severe consequences faced.
Retarded, Canadian panty-wastes
