Violent SWAT raid leaves St. Paul family traumatized, two pets shot dead

Mello and Laylo, both killed by the St. Paul SWAT. (Source: KMSP)

A SWAT team left a family traumatized and mourning the loss of two beloved family pets that were abruptly gunned down in their living room during a surprise morning raid.  In the wake of their devastation, police walked away with enough evidence to issue a $200 ticket.

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th, the home of Camille Perry and Larry Lee Arman was breached with a battering ram, and strange men charged in with rifles and opened fire on their pets.

Mr. Arman, owner of a towing business, says he was laying asleep when he heard the front door breached and then the gunfire.

“The first thing I heard was ‘boom,’” he recalled to KMSP. “Bop, bop, bop, bop, bop. Right in front of us.”

    1. Interesting. Did you search the local papers?

    2. How many people have been killed with these no knock warrents? Also who validates the intell on the info that leads to these warrants? When the police screw up or use excessive force like this, who is accountable. I think the judge who signs the warrant on a bad search should get his tit in a wringer, as well as the officer that drafts the warrant.

    3. As I mentioned elsewhere, no-knock is unconstitutional and the more oath-breakers who receive the results, the better.

    4. Yes I read the local newspaper the Startrubine almost 2X a day. I guess I will have to go dig and find more info. I don't buy the paper but read it online instead.

  2. I think too many swat members are watching too many re runs of the shield. Im all for good police work and taking down the bad guys but the police need to know more about the homes they are entering. Although I feel bad for the brutal way the family pets died, my concern is for the chance of a stray bullet striking /killing a child. Im also seeing a lot of heavy handed police tactics here in mid WI. We do have drug problems and other crimes but I cant see the reasoning behind 3 to 4 patroll cars pulling over a soccer mom with a mini van full of 13 year old girls or having a dozen officers per shift in a town of 18000. Something is wrong here.

    1. It is very simple: No-knock is unconstitutional and should be met with the same force so inflicted.

  3. I feel certain that these types of things will continue to happen until those involved (cops, judges, etc) start paying a price for their actions. This will not happen administratively but appropriately in the dark quiet hours. I do NOT advocate hurting or bothering children and pets but clearly the bad guys have no such qualms. Can "my" side "win" with such scruples?
Tried to find the reference and couldn't, may have been here on FNC, where you or I may have to swallow/tolerate the actions of people we do not like in the coming conflict. I think "retaliation" for these acts will be an early test of this.

  4. When the world goes sideways, the police are going to find themselves at war. They will be at war with not only criminals and gangs but honest citizens too scared to trust them. Anyone paying attention sees this happening every day. Police are not there to protect and serve anymore. They are on the streets to produce fear and terror among the citizens of a community. How many times have you seen police throw someone to the ground and beat them for videotaping? Which the courts have held repeatedly is legal to do. Currently police are nothing more than state sponsored thugs. When the streets are lawless, police will just be another gang to fight.

Ah, the shoe will be on the other foot and they will not like it.
