A leaked document shows nearly one-third of the 847,000 veterans in the Department of Veteran Affairs’ backlog died while waiting for treatment, amounting to more than 238,000 patients, according to documents obtained by the Huffington Post.
The VA maintains that the number is so large because it has no mechanism to purge the list of dead applicants, and that some of the veterans may have died years ago. VA spokeswoman Walinda West told the Huffington Post that some people on the list may never have completed an application, or could be using other insurance.

Expect a VA spokesperson to made up excuses after all, look who they work for
ReplyDeleteand they themselves are number one even though they are nothing more than
pen-pushers. Remember when millions of dollars were alloted to Vets to go to
private doctors if VA availability was limited d/t distance or backlog. Well they,
the Luciferian's, took most of the money back to use for other useless priorities.
I believe it has a 70 mile limit, but that applies only to the closest clinic, so although there is a clinic close, when I need to go to Dermatology for instance, I must drive 7 hours round trip. They give you mileage which more than covers the gas, but needless to say, not wear & tear, etcetera. The $120 would pay for a local physician, but that would make the VA expendable.
