Snow Just think how times have changed considering this: When I was a boy, my mother would say "If it snows, you don't see Brock from after breakfast until it's dark." Can you imagine this today? She didn't have a worry in the world, as she knew someone would look out for, feed, and/or chastise me. |
I remember when I was 9-14 years old walking 3 miles through the woods to go fishing at the river. Or thru the woods to a friends house to play. No cell phones, no tracking apps, etc. Nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteIf I got into trouble, Mom usually knew about it before I got home.
Hell I remember when I was 12 and my brother was 7, I took the riding mower deck off and strapped a 5gal can of gas to the hood and we took off 10 miles to visit our cousins in the next town to play.
