House Dems’ Ominous White Nationalist Hearing Typifies The Woke Left And The Silent Right

Via John

On Tuesday, April 9, the Democrat-run House of Representatives, itself populated by non-white ethno-nationalists of various stripes, will run hearings on “white nationalism” and “what social media companies can do to stop white nationalist propaganda and hate speech online” .  [Candace Owens to testify in congressional hearing on hate crimes and white nationalism, by Tal Axelrod, The Hill, April 5, 2019] The sole right-of-center voice: Candace Owens of Turning Point USA, a black conservative who got her start trying to dox right wingers.  [The Problem with Candace Owens, by Cathy Young, Quillette, May 8, 2018] Presumably, Owens is going to accuse the Democrats of being “the real racists.” The Democrats’ obvious intent: to crack down even further on free speech online, with New Zealand presumably the model. It’s a trend.

Poll Question: The term Deep State refers to the possible existence of a group of unelected government and military officials who secretly manipulate or direct national policy. Do you think this type of Deep State in the federal government definitely exists, probably exists, probably does not exist, or definitely does not exist?

Definitely exists 27%
Probably exists 47%
Probably does not exist 16%
Definitely does not exist 5%
Don’t know 5%

Those who indiscriminately follow the worldview promoted by mainstream media are likely to have scorn and ridicule for president Donald Trump and every single thing he does. Like some commentators, they may even be critical of Trump if he does something that they criticized him for not doing at an earlier time.

What does it feel like to have some of your most private details shared with the world?

If you’re like many users of the popular social networking site Facebook, you might already know the feeling. After all, the tech giant has recently faced a series of scandals involving privacy. Perhaps the most famous was the fallout from Cambridge Analytica, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Texas Tech must stop using affirmative action under deal with Trump administration

.......the Department of Justice (DOJ) backed a group of Asian-American students who claimed Harvard University discriminated against them in the admissions process, with DOJ attorneys saying evidence indicates that the school's race-based admissions process puts Asian-Americans at a disadvantage. Harvard has argued no applicants are denied admission based solely on their race.

The Department of Education’s civil rights division will require Texas Tech University to end its consideration of race in the admissions process, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The agreement between the university and the Trump administration was reached in February and marks the conclusion of a 14-year investigation, according to a copy of the resolution agreement viewed by the Journal.

The move marks the first time the Trump administration has requested a school curb its affirmative-action practices, and suggests Education Secretary Betsy DeVos may employ a similar tactic with other schools.
