VERBATIM

The Father Never Forgot nor Forgave Yankee Soldiers that Killed His Sons and Placed their Heads on His Gateposts

 Michael-Couch-with-Jack-Hinson-Rifle

The Commonwealth of Kentucky historical marker located at Golden Pond reads: CIVIL WAR SNIPER: In 1862, Jack Hinson swore revenge against the Union Army when two sons were executed as bushwhackers. From Ambush he picked off men in blue uniforms on gunboats and on land. With a price on his head, he continued his vendetta until his gun bore 36 notches at close of war. He guided Gen. Nathan B. Forrest in his last campaign in the area. Oct. – Nov. 1864.

Retired Marine Tom McKenney spent more than a decade after reading this roadside marker researching the life of Jack Hinson, a man who had tried his best to maintain peaceful relations with both the Union and Confederacy. His life was changed forever when a Union officer ordered two of his sons executed and mounted their heads on the gateposts of their father’s home.

Tom McKenney documents his research in a book titled Jack Hinson’s One-Man War, published by Pelican. The quotes to follow are from his excellent book.

The Hinson brothers were hunting deer less than a mile from their rural home, when a Union patrol appeared and arrested them. The Union troops had been frequently ambushed by guerrillas sympathetic to the South operating in the area. They would attack and fade into the forest. The Union officer suspected the Hinson boys were part of that group. He was wrong. He made a deadly mistake.

“The boys were tied and led northward to Dover Road… With the soldiers turning deaf ears to their protests of innocence, an unceremonious, ragged crash of carbines silenced George and John (Hinson) forever.

“The soldiers dragged the bodies of the boys to Dover and circled the courthouse square with them before leaving them there and heading for Bubbling Springs with their heads to arrest their father. ..

The Federals had sown the wind, and for the rest of the war, they would reap the whirlwind.

“Colonel Lowe expected his soldiers to have no mercy on suspected guerrillas, their families, or their neighbors. Due to this policy, many innocent family members and neighbors were shot, imprisoned, or deported, and their property confiscated or burned.”

Dr. Smith, a family friend rushed from town to the Hinson farm to warn the family that the Union troops had killed their sons and would be heading for the farm to arrest Jack Hinson, their father.

“Leaving Elizabeth in the parlor with Sarah and the stunned and weeping children, Dr. Smith walked with Jack to the front door to meet the soldiers. They arrived at the door and opened it just in time to see the soldier with the bloody burlap sack reach into it, withdraw the heads, and place them on the posts of Jack’s front yard gate.

“As the heads were being placed on the gateposts, the lieutenant walked up the brick path to the porch with his pistol drawn, mounted the steps onto the porch, and demanded to see Mr. Hinson.
“Dr. Smith asked what the lieutenant wanted. Roughly and rudely, the officer stated that the Hinson boys had been caught bushwhacking with rifles in their hands that morning and executed on the spot.

Now, he said, he was there to accuse the rest of the family of complicit guilt in the boys’ criminal behavior, confiscate their weapons, and arrest them all.”

Dr. Smith was able to prevent further harm to the family by telling the lieutenant that Hinson had been “an opponent of secession and was a man of peace.” He explained that if anything more happened to the Hinson family that it would be made known to Gen. Grant, who had been an invited guest in the Hinson home, when Union troops first occupied the area.

Jack Hinson was no longer neutral and devoted the remainder of the war to identifying and killing Union officers from the bluffs overlooking the river below with a rifle he had made according to his specifications. It had a long barrel, weighed 17 pounds and was deadly accurate.

Hinson left his family, faded into the woods, was hunted by the Union Army with a price on his head for years and never found. The rifle has 36 circles cut in the barrel for the 36 known Union officer kills. Union military records indicate more than 130 union soldier kills attributed to Hinson and his deadly rifle.

Judge Ben McFarland owns the rifle and other items originally belonging to Jack Hinson. They were on display recently at the 2013 Reunion of the Tennessee Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. LTC. Tom McKenney, author of Jack Hinson’s One-Man War, was guest speaker, and Mike Couch, Director of the Museum and Library of Confederate History in Greenville was in attendance.

Currently, Americans are asking: “Could American troops ever turn their guns on American civilians? LTC. McKenney’s book answers that question and documents his work in brutal detail. It has happened before and is ignored by politically correct revisionist history.

Delbert Belton may be the shot heard round the world.

The vigil in memory of Delbert Belton is taking place right now. One of the reasons he was waiting in the car where he was attacked was to walk a lady into the lodge, so she would be safe. As the people are noting, a gentleman to the end, who would do anything for anybody.

Video shows REBELS launching gas attack in Syria

My, my, such inconvenient facts.

Let's see, for the one millionth time, it's none of our business.

As the U.S. considers a response to what it calls a chemical weapon attack by Syria’s Bashar al-Assad regime that killed hundreds of civilians, reliable Middle Eastern sources say they have evidence the culprits actually were the rebel forces trying to take over the government.

Secretary of State John Kerry accused the Assad government Monday of covering up the use of chemical weapons in “a cowardly crime” and a “moral obscenity” that shocked the world’s conscience. Kerry claimed the Obama administration had “undeniable” evidence “that the Assad government was culpable in the use of chemical weapons on civilians” in the Aug. 21 attack in Damascus suburbs.

Reports that the Obama administration is considering a military strike against the Assad government continued to circulate Monday. Meanwhile, U.N. weapon inspectors in Syria were fired upon by snipers as they attempted to investigate the site of the Aug. 21 attack.

Assad has rejected charges that his government forces used chemical weapons as “preposterous” and “completely politicized,” the Los Angeles Times reported.

He argues Syrian forces were in the targeted area.

“How is it possible that any country would use chemical weapons, or any weapons of mass destruction, in an area where its own forces are located?” Assad asked in the interview with Izvestia, according to a translation provided by Syria’s official news agency and published by the Los Angeles Times.

“This is preposterous! These accusations are completely politicized and come on the back of the advances made by the Syrian Army against the terrorists.”

Dear Assistant Dean Letten:

Congratulations on the media coverage of your confrontation with Mr. James O'Keefe. I'm sure you are proud that your command of the invective is on display for the entire country to appreciate.

I also thank you for aiding my work as an advocate for individual liberty and smaller government. Examples like yours are invaluable in enlightening those who cling to the fairy tale that government lawyers are selfless "public servants" of high moral character, rather than parasitic control freaks with the manners of a gutter drunk.

The Conquered Banner

 Richard Norris Brooke Furling the Flag

Comment by   Jeffery in Alabama on In your opinion, what does the Confederate flag symbolize?

 A banner that many of my ancestors followed into battle defending the sovereignty of their states as well as their individual rights. Also, it was a symbol of a newly formed government representing eleven states of like minded learned men who grew tired of a tyrannical and oppressive federal government that had grown to large for their britches. These men believed strongly enough in their convictions, the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence and felt it was the right of a state, as do I, to leave the union.

How much longer can good people in in Southern (and other) States, which have almost nothing in common with the likes of California, Rhode Island, New York, New Hampshire, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, be expected to fund ridiculous programs (i.e. "octomom", prison sex changes,etc.), It would have already stopped if the working citizens and entrepreneurs of this nation were not forced at gunpoint and the threat of prison to pay illegal/confiscatory taxes which fund such madness. With the economy in shambles, self-serving politicians running wild, and a government that labels veterans, Christians, gun owners, etc, as terrorist, I really don't think it will be long until states have no other choice but to lawfully and peacefully say "we have had enough, leave us alone, unmolested, to be in full control of our own destiny".

--Deo Vindice,

Jeffery

THE CONQUERED BANNER
by Abram Joseph Ryan
(1838-1886)

Furl that Banner, for 'tis weary;
Round its staff 'tis drooping dreary;
Furl it, fold it, it is best;
For there's not a man to wave it,
And there's not a sword to save it,
And there's no one left to lave it
In the blood that heroes gave it;
And its foes now scorn and brave it;
Furl it, hide it--let it rest!

Take that banner down! 'tis tattered;
Broken is its shaft and shattered;
And the valiant hosts are scattered
Over whom it floated high.
Oh! 'tis hard for us to fold it;
Hard to think there's none to hold it;
Hard that those who once unrolled it
Now must furl it with a sigh.

Furl that banner! furl it sadly!
Once ten thousands hailed it gladly.
And ten thousands wildly, madly,
Swore it should forever wave;
Swore that foeman's sword should never
Hearts like theirs entwined dissever,
Till that flag should float forever
O'er their freedom or their grave!

Furl it! for the hands that grasped it,
And the hearts that fondly clasped it,
Cold and dead are lying low;
And that Banner--it is trailing!
While around it sounds the wailing
Of its people in their woe.

For, though conquered, they adore it!
Love the cold, dead hands that bore it!
Weep for those who fell before it!
Pardon those who trailed and tore it!
But, oh! wildly they deplored it!
Now who furl and fold it so.

Furl that Banner! True, 'tis gory,
Yet 'tis wreathed around with glory,
And 'twill live in song and story,
Though its folds are in the dust;
For its fame on brightest pages,
Penned by poets and by sages,
Shall go sounding down the ages--
Furl its folds though now we must.

Furl that banner, softly, slowly!
Treat it gently--it is holy--
For it droops above the dead.
Touch it not--unfold it never,
Let it droop there, furled forever,
For its people's hopes are dead!

Departing FBI Director Warns: Jihadists in America Are Most Serious Concerns

After graduating Princeton University in 1966, Mueller joined the United States Marine Corps and led a rifle platoon of the Third Marine Division in Vietnam. His dedication and courage earned him a Bronze Star, two Navy Commendation Medals, the Purple Heart and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, according to an FBI profile.

 Departing FBI chief Robert Mueller gave Catherine Herridge an interview last night on FOX Special Report. When asked who and what posed the greatest threat to America — Al Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula, Al Qaeda in Iraq, Al Shabab, etc. — Mueller answered unhesitatingly: terror in the homeland, homegrown terror.

Devout Muslims in America are our gravest security concern.

Brock:

Looks like we’ll be donating one set (To the PATCON) for now.  The response to our initial offering has been unreal.

We shipped out 2760 pounds of plates last week and we’re almost out of the first batch.  In fact if everyone who indicated they wanted a set actually orders them, we’re 8 sets short.

I’m working on another order, so when it happens, we might have them in time for a second set.

Like I said, we’re planning on attending, so if that’s ok, we’ll bring them with us.  If something happens, we’ll mail them.  Only takes two days.

I’ve attached a “logo” of sorts.  Not sure if this will work.

We look forward to meeting you.

Here’s what we’re offering all the III folks:

The plates are finally here!

I am incredibly pleased with how they turned out!

They finished cutting them last Friday at 0530 – the side plates were still warm from the plasma cutting when they got here.

III folks always get a better deal at Maingun.

For ANY order, enter ‘III’ when checking out and get free shipping.

Here’s how to order:

http://www.maingun.biz/Ceramic_and_Steel_Plates_s/1964.htm

$85 for a pair of 10” X 12” plates.

$30 for a pair of 6” X 8” plates.

Or order the Value Set - $100 for a pair of 10” X 12” plates AND a pair of 6” X 8” plates.  A $15 savings.

For III folks ONLY:

If you order 2 PAIRS of 10X12 plates, enter the code ‘IIIdouble10’ when checking out.  This gets you 2 pairs of 10X12 plates for $156, vs $170, AND includes free shipping if you also enter the code “III”.

Project Veritas detained while meeting former US Attorney Jim Letten

He needs his head straightened out

Citizen journalist James O’Keefe was subjected to a foul-mouthed tirade last month when he confronted former U.S. Attorney Jim Letten on camera at Louisiana’s Tulane University School of Law, where Letten is an assistant dean.

“You are a nasty, little, cowardly spud,” shouted Letten. “All of you, you’re hobbits. You are less than I can ever tell you. You are scum. Do you understand?”

Letten further blasted O’Keefe as a “snail,” an “a–hole,” an “extremist nut job” and a “horse’s a–.”
O’Keefe, a self-proclaimed “guerilla” journalist, has gained national fame in the last five years by using hidden cameras to expose corruption at Planned Parenthood and the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, which was federally defunded in large part due to O’Keefe’s reporting.

“Is Every Right Reserved to the States Now Lost?”

 http://img.timeinc.net/time/magazine/archive/covers/1957/1101570923_400.jpg

After Dwight Eisenhower’s pick for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court usurped legislative power from Congress with the unconstitutional Brown vs Board of Education opinion, his Justice Department was ordered to make an example of Arkansas. The following is excerpted from the television and radio address given by Arkansas Governor Orval E. Faubus on 26 September 1957.  Bernhard Thuersam

“Is Every Right Reserved to the States Now Lost?”

“My Fellow Citizens---

On Tuesday, September 24, while I was still absent from the State, attending the Southern Governors’ Conference at Sea Island, Georgia, the cleverly conceived plans of the Justice Department under Herbert Brownell for the military occupation of Arkansas were placed in execution.  One thousand two hundred troops of the 101st Airborne Division were flown into the Jacksonville Air Base (near Little Rock) by air transport from Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  Immediately thereafter, these troops occupied, in force, the grounds of Central High School.

At the same time, the entire Arkansas National Guard and Air Guard were federalized, and are now part of the United States Army and the United States Air Force. We are now an occupied territory.

Evidence of the naked force of the Federal Government is here apparent in these unsheathed bayonets in the backs of schoolgirls---in the backs of students---and in the bloody face of this railroad worker, who was bayoneted and then felled by the butt of a rifle in the hands of a sergeant of the United States 101st Airborne Division.  This man, on private property, as a guest in a home two blocks from the school, has been hospitalized.  Others have suffered bayonet wounds from the hands of the United States Army soldiers.  Your New York papers also show the scenes.

Up until the time the injunction was issued against me by the imported federal judge, the peace had been kept in Little Rock by as few as 30 National Guardsmen.  Not a blow was struck, no injury inflicted on any person, and no property damage sustained.  Neither was it necessary to make wholesale arrests of Arkansas citizens.  No bayonets were used, and the weapons of Guardsmen were never loaded.

This is quite a contrast to the present situation, when some 12,000 United States Army troops are on duty, mobilized or standing ready for use.  It is in stark contrast also to the use of sharpened, naked bayonets on schoolgirls and other Arkansas citizens, the bludgeoning of others with rifle butts, and the wholesale arrests made by these United states military forces.

I wish to also point out that no violence broke out in the city until after the injunction was issued by the imported federal judge, and the Guard forces withdrawn.

It might be well to mention briefly the actions of this imported judge in the first three hearings:  An injunction was issued by a State court, presided over by Chancery Judge Murray Reed, staying the execution date of the integration order, in order to preserve the peace.  Judge Reed’s order was issued after taking sworn testimony in open court, with cross-examination of all witnesses.  The first hearing in federal court, before the imported judge, lasted one hour and five minutes.  No testimony whatsoever was taken. Only the argument of counsel was heard, after which the judge made his order, nullifying the order of the State court.  The type-written order of the federal court was then distributed, which had already been drawn up and ready before the hearing was held.

The second hearing took a total of four minutes.  No testimony was taken and the order---“integrate forthwith”---was issued.  The third hearing consumed a total of 15 minutes.  Some testimony was taken---you can judge how much---but the imported judge stated that no cross-examination was necessary and then his order was issued.

The total time consumed in all three hearings was one hour and 24 minutes, on litigation pertaining to a matter of such great import.  Not only was the matter of integration-segregation involved, but also the matter of jurisdiction of State courts to maintain the peace, and the all-important matter of States rights, if there are any such rights remaining at this time.

During World War II, my division, the 35th Infantry, pushed up on the right of the Fourth Armored Division to relieve the 101st Airborne, and my division occupied the embattled city of Bastogne.

Today, we find members of the famed division, which I helped to rescue, in Little Rock, Arkansas, bludgeoning innocent bystanders, with bayonets in the backs of schoolgirls, and the warm, red blood of American citizens staining the cold, naked unsheathed knives.

In the name of God, whom we all revere, in the name of liberty we hold so dear, in the name of decency, which we all cherish---what is happening in America?  Is every right reserved to the States by the Federal Constitution now lost?  Does the will of the people, that basic precept of democracy, no longer matter?  Must the will of the majority now yield, under federal force, to the will of the minority regardless of the consequences?

If the answer to these questions are in the affirmative, then the basic principles of democracy are destroyed, and we no longer have a union of States under a republican form of government.   If this be true---then the States are mere subdivisions of an all-powerful Federal Government, these subdivisions being nothing more than districts for the operation of federal agents and federal military forces---forces which operate without any regard for the rights of a sovereign State or its elected officials, and without due regard to personal and property rights.

In addition to the federal military forces, we have . . . in Arkansas a federal judge from a State a thousand miles away.  He has no understanding whatsoever of the difficulties of our problems in the field of race relations.  [He and a few dissatisfied citizens] . . . are the ones who have sought to advise the President’s “palace guard” about the Little Rock situation.  They bear a heavy responsibility for the unhappy events of the past few days.   Would it not have been better for the President’s advisers to listen to officials who have the people’s confidence, as shown by the greatest of all democratic processes, the free exercise of the franchise at the ballot box?

Still further, in Arkansas, literally swarms of FBI . . . Counterintelligence Corps and the Criminal Investigation Division [agents] have been combing the area for days.  Teen-aged schoolgirls have been taken by the FBI and held incommunicado for hours of questioning while their frantic parents knew nothing of their whereabouts.  To those who know the facts of the Little Rock situation, these combined actions on the part of the judicial, executive and military departments of the Federal Government, are “police state” methods in a form never before seen in America.

Prior to this time in Arkansas, the hand of fellowship and mutual self-respect has everywhere been extended between the races.  Much progress has been made in this field, and in others pertaining to the progress of the State and the human welfare of all citizens.  Under my administration, all transportation systems have been integrated, and without serious incidents.  Six of the seven State-supported colleges now have Negro students.  In the other, there were no applicants.

I was the first Democratic Governor of the South to place Negroes on the Democratic State Central Committee.  Negroes also serve on the Republican Committee.  Some years ago I was a member of the resolutions committee which recommended to the Democratic State Convention that the so-called white primary be abolished . . . Negroes have been appointed on boards and commissions during my administration, and have been appointed to administration positions never before held by members of their race.  Eight public schools have been peacefully integrated during my administration, more than any other Southern State outside the Border areas.

I am not in this fight either as an ardent segregationist or an integrationist.  My only child, a son, is now attending classes in a State-supported integrated college.  This is more than can be said by any of the high officials of the National Administration, who are responsible for the military occupation of Arkansas.

There can be no question of the supremacy of the United States Army, when used against a defenseless State.  I have been working and fighting for the right of my people to solve their problems peacefully.  I shall continue relentlessly on this course.  The Constitution, the traditions of our republic and the will of the people uphold me in this course.  Our cause is just, and will ultimately prevail.

Today, the excuse for use of federal troops is said to be integration.  Tomorrow, in any State, the excuse could be a labor dispute, or any number of things.  The Supreme Court ruled that the President could not take over the steel industry, but they have taken over our schools in Little Rock.

I appreciate the upwards of 100,000 letters and telegrams, from every State in the union, which I have received, and which have ranged from 95 to 98 percent in support of my efforts to maintain the peace and good order of my own State.  We have had no opportunity at all to answer any of them, but they are nonetheless appreciated.  I know that the American people have had time to think, and to learn about the facts of this situation, they---in their good judgment---will rebuke the National Administration for the ill-advised and unwarranted use of federal troops.  School attendance at bayonet point is not compatible with the American way of life.

I ask you: Is this the pledge that was made, that federal troops would not be used?  And if this be patience, then the word has new meaning.  Yet is was said here in Little Rock there was no imminence of disorder when I called out the Guard to keep the peace---all in contrast to what I said and what has transpired. My fellow citizens of Arkansas and of the nation, this cross we here must bear---but as the poet said, “Even this shall pass away.”
Good evening, God bless you fellow citizens.”

SWAT Cop Says American Neighborhoods Are 'Battlefields,' Claims Cops Face Same Dangers As Soldiers In Afghanistan

Via Busted Knuckles

 police militarization

One of the central themes of my book is that that too many cops today have been conditioned to see the people they serve not as citizens with rights, but as an enemy. My argument is that this battlefield mindset is the product of a generation of politicians telling police that they're at war with things -- drugs, terrorism, crime, etc. -- and have then equipped them with the uniforms, tactics, weapons, and other accoutrements of war.

Over the last several days, the popular online police magazine PoliceOne site has been rolling out a series of opinion pieces in response to my book. As you might expect, most of them are critical, although a couple have been thoughtful.

One essay by Sgt. Glenn French was particularly disturbing. French serves as commander of a SWAT team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. French doesn't criticize me for arguing that too many police officers have adopted this battlefield mindset. Rather, he embraces the combat mentality, and encourages other cops to do the same. Referring to an article I wrote here at HuffPost, French writes:

NC: Police Threaten to Arrest Group for Feeding Homeless Breakfast…Something It Has Done for the Past Six Years

 love wins ministry feeding homeless
  • Over the weekend, police stopped a ministry in Raleigh from passing out food to the homeless near a park.
  • Since the story broke, Love Wins Ministries has seen an outpouring of support, and Raleigh’s mayor said no one will be arrested for providing food while committees work out the situation.
  • The ministry has been providing breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays for anyone who wants it for the past six years because there is no other publicly-funded option for the hungry over the weekend in Raleigh.
  • Why the ordinance was being enforced at this time is not known, but the square does have a planned revitalization that could move the ministry.
A charity in Raleigh, North Carolina, has for the past six years brought hot coffee and breakfast sandwiches to a local park, feeding anyone who wanted a meal. Over the weekend though, the group was met with more than just the hungry: local police threatened to arrest them if they passed out food this time.

Love Wins Ministries, a group whose mission “is to demonstrate and promote God’s love for the marginalized,” was near Moore Square Saturday ready to pass out breakfast, but were confronted by the local law enforcement and prevented from doing so.

Marine who warned of insider attack threat facing career's end

Via WiscoDave

 Enduring Freedom

I have appeared many times with Greg Buckley, father of one of the victims of this "Afghan ally" (more on that here). These brave young men knew they were the targets of these jihadi Afghans. They knew that they were going to die (Lance Cpl. Greg Buckley Jr. told his father that our "Afghan partners" were going to murder him), but military brass did nothing because it conflicted with their fantasist policy in Afghanistan.

Instead of giving this Marine a medal for warning his brothers, his heroic action has caused his spineless superiors to "lose trust and confidence in his abilities.” This is the low state of the world under the Obama administration. Is it any wonder that nearly half of soldiers say Army isn't committed to them?

The poison fruit of Obama's contempt for the US military is “the cascading effects of uncertainty on lower morale, loss of quality leaders, and lack of unit cohesion.” From the day Obama took office, he has had it out for the military, hence his effete, yellow-bellied military leadership.

Is this the act of friend or foe?

Media Ignore Americans Killed by Illegal Alien 'DREAMers'

Via WiscoDave

An illegal alien brutally murdered Laura Wilkerson's 18-year-old son in Texas, tied his body up, and then doused him with gasoline before burning him.

Wilkerson recalled the harrowing details on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, yet her story has gone unheard in the broader press.

Maria Espinoza, the director of the Remembrance project that memorializes Americans who were killed by illegal immigrants, told host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon that such crimes "happen every day" in America, even in states far from the border. But the mainstream media, Espinoza said, often do not report on illegal immigrants who have murdered Americans in states like Virginia, Tennessee, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, and Washington.

Espinoza said incidents remain local ones and are "shared" and actually suppressed.

"We don't even hear the person was here illegally in the country," she said.

Administrivia: Had to re-arrange the schedule.   A few seats are still available for each course.  I’ll be sending out emails with further information this week for those who plan to attend.

An associate of the blog is quickly becoming (unofficially) a Guerrillamerica staff Technical Intelligence Officer (TIO) in the DS&T, and he’s sent me a few links that I’ll share for everyone’s edification.

In case you didn’t read On Persistent Surveillance,  the post covers exactly what this program does.  I’ve intentionally posted the link in plain text, so you’ll have to copy/paste it into your browser and convert the dots to actual dots: http://www.persistentsurveillance.com/lawenforcement.html

City officials today implicated the suspected murderer of 99-year-old city resident Fannie Gumbinger in five additional burglaries in the City of Poughkeepsie within the last three weeks.

The suspect, Javon Tyrek Rogers, 20, is accused of burglarizing and murdering Gumbinger, who was found dead early Wednesday morning in her home on Underhill Avenue.

"Nobody should to 99 (years old) and die this way," City police Chief Ron Knapp said. "It was a truly senseless killing."

WWII vet, beaten by black teens outside Eagles Lodge, dies

**********************

* BS. You don't beat an 88 year old man with  flashlight in the head for a simple robbery.

Spokane, Washington police have arrested a second teenager suspected of participating in the beating death of Delbert "Shorty" Belton, an 88-year-old World War II veteran.

Belton, who was wounded in the Battle of Okinawa, was attacked by two 16-year-olds while waiting for a friend outside the Eagles Lodge in Spokane on Wednesday.* The attack was a botched robbery. Belton died Thursday of serious head injuries.

I'll be holding a PatCon at my farm in Horicon, WI on Saturday, September 21.

Nothing fancy, just a greet, meet and eat for interested Patriots in the area.

Limited rough indoor accommodations and outside camping available if you want/need to stay over night.

Reservations/advance warning appreciated so I can figure out food for Saturday. I would appreciate it if you would bring your own beverages and something to pass; dish or chips. Very casual affair.

There doesn't seem to be much going on in WI - maybe we can start something good.

Cruz presses ahead with defunding ObamaCare, says it will take a 'tsunami' of support

The race to stop ObamaCare before Americans can officially sign up this fall for the government-backed health insurance intensified Sunday with two of the movement’s biggest champions confident they will succeed but acknowledging it will take a “tsunami” of support.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, a Tea Party-backed lawmaker at the center of the effort to “defund” ObamaCare, said the fight will play out in the weeks before the Oct. 1 signup date and that success will require a grass-roots effort in which Americans across the country must “demand” their elected officials “do the right thing.”

“This fight is likely to heat up in the month of September,” Cruz told CNN’s “State of the Union." “That's going to be when the battle is engaged.”

Worst thing I’ve ever seen.

This is the worst video of black mob violence you will see today. Maybe ever: Four black children beat and taunt a three-year old white girl. Then the cameraman posted it on Facebook over the weekend with the heading, “When white people piss black people off.”

Campus hate crime hoaxes are sadly common

I posted the Daily Caller piece before, but these need to be splattered all over.

Last week, Legal Insurrection published an explosive report on the racism hoax at Oberlin College earlier this year. According to a new piece by David Freddoso at Conservative Intelligence Briefing, these incidents are sadly common.

A recent history of hate-crime hoaxes

Racism and hate are real. Hate crimes do happen — some violent, some just threatening.
But unfortunately, there is no shortage of wannabe heroes — who in most cases have never suffered discrimination — actively undermining the cause by committing fake hate crimes, often with the idea of drawing attention to an issue.
