Connecticut scrambles for amnesty plan after realizing that citizens are refusing to register their “assault weapons” and “high capacity” magazines

Amnesty period?  You might get a few more meek souls, but what you need to do, if you have a brain, is repeal the tyrannical order.

There’s a scene at the end of the animated film Despicable Me after the villain Vector’s master plan has gone horribly awry, and he finds himself on the surface of the Moon, with the Earth in the background. Realizing his predicament, he utters a short succinct phrase: “Oh, poop”

Governor Dannel Malloy and the government of the state of Connecticut are having their own “Oh, poop” moment, now that they’ve tallied the number of citizens who have registered their “assault weapons” and “high capacity magazines” required by the state’s unconstitutional gun laws, compared that to the estimated number of applicable weapons and magazines in the state, and realize they’ve been ignored.

Historically speaking, 90-percent or more of those required to comply with gun registration laws in the U.S. refuse to do so, and there is no reason to suspect that this registration attempt in Connecticut is any different. I’ve seen estimates of 1,000,000 firearm magazines that should have been registered under the law, but the state reports registering only 40,000… just 4 percent.

Against this backdrop of failure, the anti-gun government of Connecticut is contemplating an “amnesty” to encourage those who haven’t registered to do so, and the local media is more than willing to do their part in the spin game:

Smith & Wesson to stop selling guns in California due to microstamping law

Smith & Wesson announced it will stop selling its handguns in California rather than manufacture them to comply with the new microstamping law. The other publicly traded firearms manufacturer in the U.S., Sturm, Ruger, also said this month that it will stop new sales to California.

The announcement late Wednesday came a week after the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for firearms manufacturers, filed suit against California for requiring that all new semi-automatic pistols that are not already on the state’s approved gun roster have the microstamping technology.

Anti-gun meta-study discovers the “theory of duh.”

A study of studies at the UC-San Francisco has determined that when people have things, they can do things with those things.

This is apparently a big deal:
Someone with access to firearms is three times more likely to commit suicide and nearly twice as likely to be the victim of a homicide as someone who does not have access, according to a comprehensive review of the scientific literature conducted by researchers at UC San Francisco.
Future studies by this merry band of cherry-pickers researchers will reveal that people with indoor plumbing have a greater “risk” of bathing in the home, that people who have knifes are more likely to cut themselves, and that people who own cars are at greater risk of getting in car accidents.

Schumer Calls for Using IRS to Curtail Tea Party Activities

Via Michael

 Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.)

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) proposed using the Internal Revenue Service to curtail Tea Party group funding during a speech on how to “exploit” and “weaken” the movement at the Center for American Progress on Thursday.

Arguing that Tea Party groups have a financial advantage after the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United decision, Schumer said the Obama administration should bypass Congress and institute new campaign finance rules through the IRS.

“It is clear that we will not pass anything legislatively as long as the House of Representatives is in Republican control, but there are many things that can be done administratively by the IRS and other government agencies—we must redouble those efforts immediately,” Schumer said.

Pro-life movement seeing major youth surge: 'Young people just simply believe that an unborn child is a life'

A new Project Veritas video reveals supporters of Democrat and pro-abortion Texas candidate Wendy Davis laughing when talking about the disability of the GOP gubernatorial candidate there – his back injury that has Despite frigid conditions along the National Mall, hundreds of thousands of pro-life activists carried out a spirited March for Life on Wednesday, buoyed by a major infusion of young supporters and disgusted with President Obama’s relentless defense of what they consider to be the murder of unborn Americans.

Wednesday marks 41 years since the landmark Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton Supreme Court decisions that legalized abortion across the nation. The March for Life started informally the next year and began attracting massive crowds soon thereafter.

March organizers say one of the most encouraging signs over the past few years is the tremendous growth in young activists, including high-school and college students, as well as young professionals.

Eric Teetsel is executive director of the Manhattan Declaration, a group founded by the late Chuck Colson that describes itself as a national movement of Christians for life, marriage and religious freedom. A young leader himself, Teetsel told WND he is greatly encouraged by the infusion of teens and 20-somethings braving the elements and getting active in the pro-life cause.

“It’s really startling. There are so many high-school and college students who bus in from all over the country. We saw signs from Kansas and Nebraska, Florida, Ohio. I talked to a young priest from New Orleans who had never been to D.C. before,” Teetsel said. “Year after year, you see more of them. I think it’s really true to say that this is the most pro-life generation.”

Here’s another impossibly stupid Common Core math worksheet

Yet another painfully awful Common Core math worksheet has bubbled up courtesy of Twitter.

The incomprehensible directions tell the poor nine-year-old souls forced to endure the worksheet to “use number bonds to help you skip-count by seven by making ten or adding to the ones.”

“Free” Trade: Undermining Defense, Sovereignty, and the American Job Market: Nothing To Do with Either Freedom or Trade

Congressmen Ron Paul (R-TX) and Walter Jones (R-NC) wrote a letter to their House colleagues stating: “Free trade theorists such as Adam Smith and David Ricardo must be rolling in their graves to see pacts like President Obama’s Korea Agreement called ‘free trade.’ It includes endless pages of rules and regulations enforced by foreign tribunals. This act is a sneaky form of international preemption, undermining the critical checks and balances and freedoms established by the U.S. Constitution’s reservation of many rights to the people or state governments.”

A powerful conglomerate consisting of Wall Street moguls, multi-national corporate elites, and political insiders — the one percent cabal as some call them — are mounting an assault on the American economy, endangering national defense, and subverting U.S. sovereignty. Their weaponry includes so-called “free trade” treaties like the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) — the godfather of subsequent deals — and the establishment of regulatory agencies such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).

That’s a mouthful of allegations, but let me address each charge. First, the once percent cabal.

LAPD Cops Stood Down Minutes Before TSA Shooting

Via Jeffery

LAPD officers assigned to the area where Paul Ciancia began his shooting spree targeting TSA agents at LAX Airport stood down minutes before the attack began, leaving for breaks without informing their dispatcher as required.

“Departmental procedures require that officers notify a dispatcher before going on break and leaving their patrol area in order to ensure supervisors are aware of their absence and, if necessary, a relief unit can be brought in to cover their area,” reports the Associated Press.

That didn’t happen in the moments before Ciancia began his rampage, with one of the officers on a bathroom break and the other outside on a vehicle traveling to a meal break.

The lack of armed officers allowed Ciancia to begin the shooting unopposed, with TSA agents fleeing the screening area without hitting the panic button or using a land line phone to call for help.

GOA Alert: ObamaCare’s Anti-gun Bias Becomes More and More Apparent
But Rubio proposal could serve as a poison pill

“Congress is moving closer to [passing] a bill which would require virtually every single American to buy government-approved health insurance, whether they wanted it or not.  And, in the process, that bill would feed all of your most confidential medical data into an enormous database, which could be used to take away your guns.” -- GOA Alert, April 2009

Five years ago, during the spring of 2009, GOA told its members that a major priority of Barack Obama's health care reform agenda was to take away your guns.

This was three months before other groups and media outlets came out in opposition of what became known as “ObamaCare.”  At the time, Republican Senators like Chuck Grassley and Orrin Hatch were working hard to solidify a bipartisan consensus which would take the issue of “health care reform” off the table.

Conservative pollsters were saying that opposition to health care reform would destroy the Republican Party.

At the time, GOA said that Obama's health care reform would allow the ATF to troll a federal health database for tens of millions of people -- individuals suffering from maladies like PTSD, ADHD or post-partum depression -- and to send those names to the FBI’s NICS system.

Spring forward to January, 2013, when President Obama published an Executive Action concerning language that was inserted into ObamaCare in a futile effort to appease GOA.  Obama’s Executive Action overturned a clear protection for gun owners and declared that doctors are not prohibited from asking about guns and entering that information in a federal database.

Then in January of this year, the Department of Health and Human Services floated regulations which would waive federal privacy laws to allow these gun owners’ names to be submitted to the NICS system.

At the same time, states like New York are turning in the names of New Yorkers, for no other reason that their psychiatrists have given them prescriptions for anxiety medication.  Even in pro-gun states like New Hampshire, there are pro-gun groups that (in an effort to compromise) are pushing legislation to send the names of many gun owners who have visited psychiatrists to NICS -- thus, imposing gun bans on a lot more people.

The anti-gun Left is pulling out the stops to save ObamaCare, because this law helps fund much of their socialistic agenda -- including the culling of gun owners’ names.  But if ObamaCare isn't destroyed, the Second Amendment will be in grave jeopardy.

Realizing this, Senator Marco Rubio has crafted a legislative proposal (S. 1726) which would repeal Obama's ability to spend $1 trillion to buy off “millionaires and billionaires” at wealthy insurance companies.

Sen. Rubio is trying to repeal this bailout since its only purpose is to keep the anti-gun ObamaCare law afloat through the 2014 elections.

The quickest way to put a stake through the heart of this ObamaCare vampire is to pass the Rubio proposal.  Once insurance companies are no longer engaged in a conspiracy of silence on behalf of ObamaCare -- because they realize Obama will no longer pay them $1 trillion of “hush money” -- ObamaCare collapses.

ACTION: Click Here to Contact your Senators. Ask them to cosponsor Senator Rubio's S. 1726 -- a bill that will help the anti-gun ObamaCare law to implode by repealing the bailout of millionaires and billionaires in the insurance companies.

Video: Wendy Davis supporters laugh at disability: James O'Keefe reveals attacks on opponent in wheelchair

A new Project Veritas video reveals supporters of Democrat and pro-abortion Texas candidate Wendy Davis laughing when talking about the disability of the GOP gubernatorial candidate there – his back injury that has him in a wheelchair.

Project Veritas, which investigates waste, fraud, dishonesty and self-dealing, and recently caught navigators for Obamacare agreeing to help obtain a private list of potential Obamacare enrollee data for election and political uses, on Thursday released the video of Battleground Texas participants.

That organization was set up by Obama campaign volunteers to try to switch the majority in Texas from Republican to Democrat.

The people who are STILL living like it's 1951: Captivating portraits take a look inside America's Rockabilly community

Via WiscoDave

Jennifer Greenburg, the assistant professor of photography at Indiana University Northwest, has been photographing America's Rockabilly community for ten years

Let's go! :)

It may be 2014 to the rest of us, but for the subjects in Jennifer Greenburg’s photographs, it is still 1951.

The assistant professor of photography at Indiana University Northwest has been photographing America's Rockabilly community for more than ten years; people that not only dress like it’s the Fifties, but also drive perfectly preserved Cadillacs and decorate their homes with furniture to rival the retro sets of Mad Men.
At first I thought the culture was about fashion,' the 36-year-old photographer told MailOnline. 'Then I realized it was much, much, more than that. I realized that this was a culture of people who functioned as a community.'

Change in military dress policy will allow for turbans, beards if worn for religious reasons: Report

Via Jeffery

The Pentagon is expected to announce changes today to rules governing religious items and uniform regulations, NBC News is reporting.
The change would allow beards, some religious tattoos and turbans to be worn by members in uniform.

NBC News obtained a draft of Department of Defense instructions that said the military will make every effort to accommodate "individual expressions of sincerely held beliefs" of service members. The memo said unless the items have an adverse impact on readiness, order or discipline, commanders will be allowed to grant special permission for personnel to wear religious article while in uniform.

Common sense survival. The return of natural selection

How do you imagine real survivalist?

Is it a man hidden inside underground bunker with food for 10 years, completely cut off from outside world? Or is it guy with crazy haircut driving bike on methan, in full leather outfit with communicaton skills not more than screams and some strange gurgling noises, armed with swords from fantasy games and maybe a chainsaw on the back?

Both examples are something like strange fantasies or for some even wishes („I want to be like that“) that I saw on more than one survival forum, or TV shows.

There is also picture of the big savior, guy who will do only good stuff, save other folks when SHTF, and survive everything. There is strange opinion in some people that having stance like „I ll do only that when SHTF“ either only good, or only bad in terms of pillaging and robbing will keep them safe.
If you look at things are going in nature, you know, natural way does not mean happy end.

Cop-Killer, Communist, Terrorist Pen Nightmarish Blueprint for 'Socialist USA'

Via Doug
 Such an attractive individual.........

Marxist leftists have prepared a nightmarish blueprint for American socialism in a new revolutionary "book of imagination."

The new book, "Imagine Living in a Socialist USA," was edited by Frances Goldin who praises "life-enhancing socialism" in the preface. The 281 page manifesto showcases 31 utopian essays written by dangerous criminals, prominent liberals, and self-described communists - all for just $10.11.

It imagines a "free" and "enlightened" socialist United States, promoting radical notions such as eliminating prisons and creating mandatory worker-owned businesses. More dangerously, it details "how to get from where we are to where we want to be," and the authors seem determined to destroy "rapacious" and "cancerous" capitalism, by revolution if necessary.

The new book is stocked with pieces featuring Bill Ayers, Michael Moore and even Mumia Abu Jamal. It's a perfect fit for Karl Marx's library and brought together calls for establishment of grade and competition-free schools and the greatest hits of terrible Occupy Wall Street demands into a strident call for "the Third American Revolution."
