Congressman Gosar: U.S. Should Intervene over ‘Persecution’ of Tommy Robinson

Tommy Robinson has described a Spartan existence in prison in an interview following his release, claiming he was kept locked in solitary confinement for 23 and a half hours at a time and had to subsist on one can of tuna a day.

The activist was bounced into prison to serve two consecutive prison sentences for contempt of court within five hours of an arrest for an alleged breach of the peace in May.

The decision was defended at the time by a number of left-liberal talking heads and legal commentators, including the pseudonymous ‘Secret Barrister’, but quashed on August 1st in the Court of Appeal by the Lord Chief Justice, who ruled that the sentencing judge had moved with unseemly haste and deviated from proper due process in a way that was “much more than a technical failure”

Hẻm Gems: A Cuppa in Saigon's Oldest Cafe

One of the first things Co Suong does when we sit down in the back of her tiny District 3 cafe is bring out the newspaper clippings.

There are heaps of them, wrapped in plastic and passed to me carefully, one by one. She begins with the international write-ups, stories from Vietnamese newspapers and even teen magazines in California, before moving on to the national press and a handful of paperback books.

Cheo Leo Cafe, now in its 78th year of operation, is something of a Saigon landmark. When she goes out, Co Suong says, she is recognized in public places. Rarely does she even need to give her full name, such is the notoriety of her family’s cafe.

Yes, Anti-White Racism Exists

The denigration of human beings works its own harm.

Earlier today, the New York Times announced that it had hired Sarah Jeong to join its editorial board, and — like clockwork — controversial old tweets promptly surfaced. In them, Jeong expressed some rather interesting views of “[dumba** f***ing] white people,” musing about how much joy she gets “out of being cruel to old white men” and how “white men are [bullsh**].” For good measure she also compared white people to “groveling goblins” and questioned why they’re “genetically predisposed to burn faster in the sun.” In a statement, Jeong expressed her regret and explained that she was engaging in “counter-trolling” designed to mimic the language of racists who harassed her online.

The Times is standing by its hire. Good. It’s time to end termination-by-Twitter and debate bad ideas head-on. (As for whether the Times and other elite outlets will display the same fortitude when a conservative is the target of online outrage, I’ll believe it when I see it.)

Pence urges states to accept federal help in securing elections

Pence Offers Federal Aid to Thwart Election Fraud

To emphasize the need for federal election-security assistance, the vice president shed light on what he described as a “malware attack” within the last two weeks in Finney County, Kansas.

Finney County officials reached out to DHS personnel after the incident “forced them to shut down not just their election network, but the entire county’s network,” Pence said.

“Federal officials worked earnestly, hand-in-hand, with county officials to identify and ultimately eliminate this dangerous intrusion,” he added. “This action was a model of the collaboration that we need to ensure the security of our elections, and we commend the state and local and federal officials who made it happen.”

Politics It’s Not ‘White Threat’ Harming Our Politics, It’s Tying Race To Destiny

It’s Not ‘White Threat’ Harming Our Politics, It’s Tying Race To Destiny

Ezra Klein’s Monday article in Vox addressed race in politics, comparing the election of Barack Obama with the election of Donald Trump. It was longer and more nuanced than most of what is published there, but still missed the major point.

The changes in the way race plays into national politics are not a reaction to Obama. They are a reaction to the world progressives built and are still building, a world that has seen the Left’s default position go from aspiring toward color-blindness to one of grievance-nursing along every possible intersectional axis. The political world that gave us Trump is different than the one that gave us Obama, but the difference is of the Left’s own making.

There is No Place for Compulsory Schooling in a Civilized Society

the saddest image describing the school system

A woman is facing 30 days in jail because her son missed too many days of school. His 82% attendance record wasn’t enough to keep her out of court.

Just let it sink in that you can be put in a cage if the state doesn’t have control over your child for a certain number of days each year.

Originally the mom got the case dismissed using an apparent technicality in the law.

Groundbreaking discovery: Who may have built Stonehenge finally revealed

Scientists say that cremated remains may hold the key to unlocking the truth behind England’s greatest mystery: who built Stonehenge?

New studies on the cremated remains of 25 Neolithic people buried at the site show that nearly half of them lived nowhere near the now world-famous monument.

A team from University of Oxford analysed the 25 skull bones, discovering that ten of those cremated originated from western Britain. Five of the ten were potentially from southwest Wales; the same area from which the bluestones that made the monument’s original structure originated from.
The other 15 people appear to be local to the Wiltshire and Stonehenge area.

Koch Brothers Turn On Republican Candidate In North Dakota

Charles Koch is turning his back on the Republican Senate candidate in North Dakota, continuing his covert agitation against President Donald Trump and his policy allies.

Rep. Kevin Cramer of North Dakota is in the crosshairs for Koch, who is going after Republicans on the issue of “trade.” The Kochs are clearly hoping that his Democrat opponent Sen. Heidi Heitkamp wins and holds a seat up north for Chuck Schumer.

“He’s inconsistent across the board on these issues and that makes it hard to support him,” Americans For Prosperity president Tim Phillips stated.

Revisiting Charlottesville: One Year Later

Image result for Revisiting Charlottesville: One Year Later

On its first anniversary, it is worth revisiting what we may now refer to simply as “Charlottesville.”

Thanks to the assistance of Republican politicians and their apologists in Big Conservative media, the left didn’t hesitate to transform this event into an ideologically and politically-useful weapon.

Of course, Charlottesville could serve the left’s agenda only if the official interpretation of circumstances defies reality—as it does.
