Pastor Chuck Baldwin’s Comments on the Fallout of the Connecticut School Shooting

Via NC Renegade

Not the America I remember

............being an old guy, I must say the country we now live in is definitely NOT the United States of America I remember.

How sad that the young folks today have no idea what has been lost, for they've never known anything different.

How ironic that my father served in the war against the Nazis, and both he and I served in a war against the Communists, and yet, our country has now copied everything the Nazis and Communists did, including racial preferences and deciding who's fit to live.

Watching the news on television, I was disappointed that gun owners kept referring to the right given to them by the Second Amendment.

Folks, we do NOT get our right to keep and bear arms from the Constitution!

Our right to keep and bear arms is an UNALIENABLE right.

Our Constitution exists to restrain the federal government, NOT to give rights (which they already possess) to the individual citizen.

Unfortunately, almost nobody in our contemporary society or our government seems to be aware of that distinction, or else they merely ignore it.

The purpose of the Second Amendment is not for hunters, collectors, sportsmen, target shooters, or even self defense from criminals, although each of those are fringe benefits of that document.

The Second Amendment exists to guarantee us citizens the practical means to rise up in open armed revolt against our own government.

That is why individual citizens should be as well armed as police and the Armed Forces.

The other aspect of the tragedy in Connecticut is to point out the danger of sending children to be educated in a public school.

Again, this country today is NOT the country I grew up in.

Our beloved United States of America today has become unrecognizable and unacceptable.

I grew up and went to public school in a racially segregated Southern community, long before the imposition of "political correctness" which currently stifles and perverts scholastic curriculum.

Thus, we were safe, and we got a far better education than what children get today.

Nowadays, rather than send children to public schools, where they're locked inside like prisoners, to be indoctrinated with government propaganda and terrorized by racial gangs, those children would be far better educated in the home, by their parents.

That's the best way to protect children from evil while they're growing, plus home schooled children consistently prove intellectually superior in tests and national competitions.

So ,

Please, tell me, if you can,

Who REALLY won the Second World War?

Who REALLY won the Cold War?

If we defeated the Nazis and the Communists, then WHY have we adopted all of their characteristics and become just like them?

Thank you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Boehner Caves To Obama Twice In One Weekend!

House Speaker John Boehner just cannot do the right thing. This weekend he apparently broke with his party’s principles again to offer Barack Obama an entire year of not fighting about the debt limit, which would effectively remove all the leverage the GOP had in the “fiscal cliff” talks. He also offered to go along with raising tax rates on those making over $1 million and it looks like Barack Obama has done nothing but reject his offer, laugh at him, pat him on the head and say, “You haven’t caved enough on Republican principles Johnny Boy.” With friends like John Boehner, who needs enemas? (Yes, I meant that word, not the other.)

When one considers how many empires have fallen apart since the end of World War II, and that the Union of the current United States was imposed by force, it should not come as any surprise that support for secession will continue to grow throughout America as the economy worsens and the divisions between American culture and the immigrant cultures widen.

In 2007 Maryland legislators approved a "millionaire's tax" of 6.25 percent on incomes of more than $1 million a year... The actual, real-world result: the state lost $100 million in tax revenues and ended up with a thousand fewer millionaires to fleece... a third of the population of the Belgian village of Nechin is filled with French who have fled their country in advance of a 75% tax on all earnings over one million euros.

When feminists set out to remake the sexes back in the 1970s, they seemed to choose all the wrong traits to emulate and/or eliminate. Women were encouraged to match the promiscuity, aggressiveness, and irresponsibility of men. In other words, women were to model themselves on the worst men. Meanwhile, the best traits of traditional men—specifically their most chivalrous and protective impulses—were to be maligned, mocked, and resented.

art-link-symbol-small-rev01.jpg You can claim this change in the law and policy would be ineffective if you wish but in point of fact Israel, in the 1970s, faced a rash of terrorist attacks on their schools.  Israel also heard people screaming for more gun control, as we do today.  Their government analyzed the problem and decided to do the opposite and as I am advocating here—they trained and armed their teachers instead. What happened? School shootings ceased as schools were no longer "soft" targets, says Karl Denninger in this article, Solutions For CT: There Are Some, at Market Ticker.

art-link-symbol-small-rev01.jpg Each year, more than 75,000 National Rifle Association members meet for the NRA Annual Meetings. The majority of those people carry concealed and every year, everyone who attends that meeting goes home bullet wound-free... The other gun culture in America can be found in the inner city of Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, Los Angeles and others, the same culture promoted in Hollywood films made by liberals, glorified by rappers and disrespectfully joked about at NBA parties, says Katie Pavlich in this article, Clarifying America's Gun Culture, at Town Hall

Monsters and perverts never saw a child corpse they didn't savour as a political tool. They can't even wait for the bodies to go in the ground before their miserable sibilant whispering begins. Give us your means of defense and we will see to it another child never dies.

If you can only defend your right to life with a firearm by first getting permission, then it's not a right. When did government get the delegated power to diminish your right to life? Remember, if you were endowed with a right, it didn't come from government. And government was created to secure endowed rights, not deny them, restrict them, or diminish them.
Jeff Ganaposki at groups.google.com, via reader JG

I don't expect these remnants of 1960s ethics to ever blame drugs for anything. But what puzzles me is their newfound blind support of government. How did they turn from being the harshest critics of "The Man" in the 1960s to being his most brainwashed advocates today? ... Government IS a gun. It exists through threat of force far more than via the illusion of consent. I pity all the fools who think that by disarming the public, they're fighting "the power," when they're only the willing tools of the biggest gang with the biggest guns.
Jim Goad at takimag.com

And Remus thought he was cynical - Once again, "conveniently" just as puppeticians are discussing a plot to violate your fundamental human right to own and to carry any kind of gun you desire, everywhere you go, in any manner you see fit, without ever asking permission from anyone, a "Manchurian Shooter" has been activated.

Excerpts from this week's Blood

.........these guns were stolen from a person who possessed them legally, which person he then murdered. This is not "easy access to guns". Connecticut has some of the most draconian gun laws in the nation, there were no "loopholes" involved. As for the semi-automatic thing, the six-shooters of the Old West were semi-automatic in the sense of one trigger pull, one shot. Give it a rest, nobody's buying it but the ignorant and the ignorant by choice, journalism majors and Rupert Murdoch for two.

And not that anybody would notice from the press reports, the AR15-like long gun was found in his car [Update: art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif ABC News says the long gun was used in the killings, but art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif MSNBC is reporting otherwise]. They managed to finger the wrong man for most of the day but, oddly, first reports itemized the things they want banned, embellished with imagined scenarios, non sequiturs and invented details. Anti-gun partisans, particularly in the news media, trade in inferred guilt, dubious facts framed with purple prose, clever gotchas, selective stats or misstated data and other misdirection, even though facts about guns and gun control are readily available, one "good enough" source being Just Facts art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif

FedUpUSA had this to say:
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif Nothing about what this mass-murderer did was 'law abiding' and it is my understanding he didn't buy the guns or own them.  He stole them (so he didn't follow that no stealing law).  Then he shot their owner (and he didn't follow that no killing law).  Then he proceeded to find targets that were the most vulnerable and ones that would put up no resistance and had no way to defend themselves. This is what criminals do.  They prey on the weak and defenseless. They don't follow laws! So, what makes anyone think he'd have followed gun laws any  more than he did the laws against theft and murder?  They don't and they won't.  That's why they're called criminals. (Hat tip: Karl Denninger at Market-Ticker)
Stewart Rhodes says:
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif Anti-gun nuts trust the government with guns, but not the people, and insist that the lowly citizen must be disarmed and helpless in the face of murderous assault, and must wait on slow responding armed government employees, who will not be there when the attack starts, and most often can only really clean up the horrendous crime scene afterwards.
In other news, there were some concurrent murders but guns aren't involved and so they rate only routine attention from the news media:
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif Four people set on fire during assault in North Denver, at ABC Denver
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif Tashawn Cheatham strangled 13-year-old Briana Naylor, set fire to family's home, at ABC Phoenix
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif Caseworker was 'chased down street with butcher's knife and stabbed to death' during routine visit to client's home, at the Daily Mail
and this from China, on the same day as the Newton massacre:
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif China school knife attack in Henan injures 22 children, at BBC News, "Security at China's schools has been increased in recent years following a spate of similar knife attacks in which nearly 20 children have been killed." art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif and from BBC in 2010: "Nine people died in a kindergarten knife attack on 12 May. The same month, a man was sentenced to death for stabbing 29 people at a kindergarten in Jiangsu... A local newspaper quoted parents as saying that their children's injuries were so bad they could barely recognize them."
An effective remedy is simple and obvious:
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif The best way to stop the mass murder of students and teachers is to do these things: First, repeal all laws or policies that now require schools to be "gun free zones". In each school, seek out teachers who have concealed carry permits and any more who would be willing to get a permit. Then give them extra training in shooting proficiency, the law and morality of using deadly force, and allow them to be armed in school.
Old Greybeard at sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif If federal law is preventing teachers from saving their own lives and the lives of their students, then they have two choices:  tempt fate, gamble on death, or break the law, defy school policy, and carry a weapon... To teachers I say: Forget the law.  If you're not armed, you won't get them before they get you and the children around you. That is all you need to worry about.
Brandon Smith at alt-market.com
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif The tragic mass murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut underscores that fact that in 1996 our own congress turned public schools into gun free zones, making them ideal killing grounds for lunatics. (Where they will only find unarmed victims.) Please contact your legislators and encourage them to rescind the Gun Free School Zones Act (reenacted by Congress, Sep. 30, 1996 --P.L. 104-208.) If even a minority of school teachers were armed (as they are in Israel and South Africa) then slaughters like this could be prevented, or at least minimized.  James Rawles at survivalblog.com
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif The shooter didn't walk in, he broke through a window to enter the building.  The school appears to have been appropriately secured on a physical level, although obviously the glass broken through was not armored. What was missing was someone—anyone—in the building with the means and willingness to present effective resistence to an armed criminal intent on murder.  From all reports the staff did what they could, having no defensive weapons and no locks on the classroom doors, to mitigate the assault.Karl Denninger at market-ticker.org
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif We must advocate for arming teachers and administrators. Yes, I realize this would create an "Only Ones" situation, something I intend to work to rectify if and when that plateau is reached, and my ultimate goal would be for parents, or any peaceable visitors, to also bear arms on campuses if they so choose as free individuals. But unless someone can show me how we can get there from here, it would be, as the antis like to say, "a good first step."
David Codrea at examiner.com
art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif People have asked for examples of some shootings in which a civilian armed with a gun intervened and brought down the shooter—so here they are.
Eugene Volokh at volokh.com
Finally, about worst case school security:
Remus remembers a time when the custodian kept a shotgun in the boiler room. Law enforcement was his backup. And during season older students and not a few teachers kept guns at school to hunt or to carry when walking their traplines on their way home. There's a difference between believing such things could work and having seen it work first hand. As in all things, the solution is a return to traditional ethics and morals, responsible liberty, and common sense armed vigilance. The experts have had their chance. Their "maximum security, zero tolerance, gun-free zone" notion stands revealed as no security at all.

The Artemis Project "NO MORE INNOCENT VICTIMS"

Looks good, but need to get the Gun Free School Zone Act repealed.

I want to make this clear I am only looking for help as for suggestions in getting this done.
I am putting up the money and guns to get this started first here in Pa and Jersey and then with hope to make this a nation wide grass roots effort.

I have been in contact and bringing on board 3 lawyers, one from Jersey , one from further up north and one from Pa to help with state laws and other hurdles.

As a Firearms MFGer I feel obligated by to help & do what I can, my expertise is bringing people with the best skills for the job together.

We will begin training any school personnel/Teachers who want it and will move toward training them in combat tactical in CQC.
We will be outlining the programs and logistics in short order.
We want firearm uniformity in the same school systems for training and God forbid an emergency does come they have like guns and mags, for the same reason Police do.

Like I said we aren't looking for anything other than some good input to help get off the ground ion the right way and as soon as possible.

I have been in touch with other firearm MFGers and dealers and the money is not going to be an issue at all.

The goal here is to protect our Children and the people who care for them 7 hours a day.

If you don't have anything good to say please don't say anything at all.

I will be contacting staff so that anyone who can help with training or other wise will be able to.

We will be getting a web site up as soon as we can.

The end goal is trained personal allowed to carry covertly in schools to stop an active shooter on a rampage.

The name we have is "The Artemis Project"
Artemis is a protector of Children and the Vulnerable from Greek Mythology

In case it's not already clear
Artemis project will be providing the training, weapons, ammo, and other good & services to schools and school employees at no cost to them, as a matter of fact if the schools need other supplies I think we can help with that too.

Update:
There is a snag I did not see
The federal gun free school zones act exempts people licensed in the same state they received the permit and are carrying.
It does not exempt someone under reciprocity
It does not exempt any CCW discharging a weapon even under self defense
This is bad for this entire effort
Under this federal law an off duty police officer is not exempt either

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun-Free_School_Zones_Act_of_1990#Reciprocity_agreements

Off duty police officers

The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) which was intended to entitle qualified law enforcement officers to carry weapons nation-wide does not provide any exceptions to Federal Law.[19] Although the GFSZA does provide an exception for a law-enforcement officer performing their official duties,[7] it does not provide any protection for an off-duty officer.[15] An off-duty LEOSA qualified officer is unable to legally travel within one-thousand (1000) feet of any K-12 school while armed unless he has a valid carry license issued by that state.[13][15][16]
Self-defense

Although the GFSZA allows a citizen to discharge a firearm on private property,[7][16] it prohibits discharge on public property in the Gun Free Zones by anyone except on-duty law enforcement and school security.[16] A carry permit never exempts an individual from the GFSZA discharge restrictions, even in the State that physically issued it.[16]

Pro-gun calls for discussion on gun control in wake of elementary school shooting

Bye, bye A rating, dorkhead.

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, a pro-gun rights senator with an A rating from the National Rifle Association who shot a bullet through the cap-and-trade bill in an infamous ad from his 2010 campaign, called on Monday for a discussion about gun control in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting.

Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Manchin addressed Friday’s massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., where a gunman entered the school and fired on students and teachers with a semi-automatic weapon. The final death toll was 20 children and six adults.
Manchin said that such an event “changed the dialogue, and it should move beyond dialogue.”

 “We need action,” he said.

Manchin described himself as an avid hunter, but said the types of weapons used in Friday’s shooting were not those used by hunting enthusiasts.

“I don’t know anyone in the hunting or sporting arena that goes out with an assault rifle,” he said. “I don’t know anybody that needs 30 rounds in the clip to go hunting. I mean, these are things that need to be talked about.”

*Blithering idiot.

Gov. Haley picks Tim Scott to replace DeMint

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has appointed Rep. Tim Scott (R) to fill Sen. Jim DeMint's (R) soon-to-be-vacant seat.

"It is with great pleasure that I am announcing that I am appointing our next U.S. senator to be Congressman Tim Scott," she said at a press conference in Columbia, South Carolina.

Haley cited Scott's support for the business community and his position on fiscal issues, as well as his love of the state, as the reasons behind her pick.

Scott will replace DeMint, who announced earlier this month that he would leave the Senate run the Heritage Foundation in January.

Haley's selection of Scott surprised few in the state. The congressman has experienced a meteoric rise in GOP circles since he was elected in the Tea Party wave of 2010. He also received the public backing of DeMint, who indicated that he preferred Scott serve in his seat.

Gun Expert Lott: Let Teachers Carry Arms, Ban Gun-Free Zones to Halt Mass Shootings

Via Cousin John

Banning gun-free zones and allowing teachers to carry concealed weapons could help eliminate mass shootings at schools, John R. Lott, one of the nation's leading gun experts, tells Newsmax in an exclusive interview Saturday.

Lott, an author and college professor, told Newsmax that gun-free zones become “a magnet” for deranged killers who hope to burn their names into the history books by running up a big body count.

Lott’s landmark book "More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws" is in its 3rd edition. He told Newsmax there is a “very good chance” the Connecticut school shooting could have been averted, if teachers there were permitted to carry concealed handguns.

It is no accident, he said, that mass shootings repeatedly have occurred in designated gun-free zones, which attract lunatics looking to murder as many souls as possible before they turn their guns on themselves.

Newsmax: Dr. Lott, your work suggests people are more secure, rather than less so, when firearms are readily available in society.

Dr. Lott: Simply telling them to behave passively turns out to be pretty bad advice . . . By far the safest course of action for people to take, when they are confronting a criminal, is to have a gun. This is particularly true for the people in our society who are the most vulnerable.

Newsmax: The media typically spins these mass shootings as an American phenomenon. They suggest we ought to be more like Europe, with strong gun control, because then we would not have these problems. Is that true?

Dr. Lott: No. Europe has a lot of multiple victim shootings. If you look at a per capita rate, the rate of multiple-victim public shootings in Europe and the United States over the last 10 years have been fairly similar to each other. A couple of years ago you had a couple of big shootings in Finland. About two-and-a-half years ago you had a big shooting in the U.K., 12 people were killed.

You had Norway last year [where 77 died]. Two years ago, you had the shooting in Austria at a Sikh Temple. There have been several multiple-victim public shootings in France over the last couple of years. Over the last decade, you’ve had a couple of big school shootings in Germany. Germany in terms of modern incidents has two of the four worst public-school shootings, and they have very strict gun-control laws. The one common feature of all of those shootings in Europe is that they all take place in gun-free zones, in places where guns are supposed to be banned.

Newsmax: Can you give readers an example of an incident where a teacher or authority-figure with a gun was able to thwart a violent shooting?

Guns America Request

Please sign this petition at: http://wh.gov/RLsR

We ask President Obama to support law abiding gun owners in this time of tragedy.

We ask President Obama to stand with law abiding gun owners in this time of tragedy. Guns laws could not have prevented Adam Lanza from killing 27 innocents. The real question is what made this disturbed young man into a murderer of children. Where is the outrage at the violent video games he played? A piece of plastic and steel doesn’t have a will Mr. President. Evil is not law abiding, and Adam Lanza stole those guns after failing to buy one legally. it is America’s law abiding gun owners who would have died with Victoria Soto and Dawn Hochsprung defending the children with only our bodies on December 14th, because it was already illegal to bring a gun into that school. Please don’t pander to the politics Mr. President. A feeding frenzy of new gun legislation is not the answer.
