General Sherman Deported Women from the South

THE STORY OF THE ROSWELL MILL WORKERS DEPORTATION

The 400 Roswell missing women of 1864

*************************************************

In July 1864, approximately 400 mill workers in Georgia - nearly all women, were taken prisoner by the Union Army. They were then put on trains headed North, and few of them ever made their way back home. They would be referred to as Factory Hands or Roswell Women in the Official Records.

During the summer of 1864, the Union Army under the leadership of General William Tecumseh Sherman advanced toward Atlanta, Georgia. The two armies faced off at the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain (June 27, 1864). Sherman discovered that the Confederate forces were too well entrenched so he cut his losses and continue toward Atlanta. The Chattahoochee River stood in his way.

 After the Confederates, Who’s Next?

On Sept. 1, 1864, Union forces under Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman, victorious at Jonesborough, burned Atlanta and began the March to the Sea where Sherman’s troops looted and pillaged farms and towns all along the 300-mile road to Savannah.

Captured in the Confederate defeat at Jonesborough was William Martin Buchanan of Okolona, Mississippi, who was transferred by rail to the Union POW stockade at Camp Douglas, Illinois.

By the standards of modernity, my great-grandfather, fighting to prevent the torching of Georgia’s capital, was engaged in a criminal and immoral cause. And “Uncle Billy” Sherman was a liberator.

Sanctuary City Mayor Trashes An AMERICAN Hero, Robert E. Lee

A (The man) man among men.

Mayor Mike Signer—who had declared his intention to make Charlottesville, Virginia, the "capital of the resistance" to President Trump and a sanctuary city "to protect immigrants and refugees"—is refusing to protect a symbol saluting one of America's greatest men.

Yes, Robert E. Lee was a great American.

If Signer knew the first thing about human valor, he'd know that there was no man more valorous and courageous than Robert E. Lee, whose "two uncles signed the Declaration of Independence and [whose] father was a notable cavalry officer in the War for Independence."

The battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia—known as "Lee's Army"—is not to be conflated with the "Stars and Bars," which "became the official national flag of the Confederacy." According to Sons of the South, the "first official use of the 'Stars and Bars' was at the inauguration of Jefferson Davis on March 4, 1861." But because it resembled the "Stars and Stripes" flown by the Union, the "Stars and Bars" proved a liability during the Battle of Bull Run.

Surprise, surprise. [SGT Carter:)] Men who are physically weak are more likely to favor socialist policies.

An academic study from researchers at Brunel University London assessed 171 men, looking at their height, weight, overall physical strength and bicep circumference, along with their views on redistribution of wealth and income inequality. The study, published in the Evolution and Human Behavior journal, found that weaker men were more likely to favor socialist policies than stronger men.

Mark Levin: Sean Hannity should consider suing Media Matters

On Tuesday, Hannity told viewers that there is an effort to "silence" him from making certain comments on air.

"As for my job here at the Fox News Channel — there is an effort now abound to silence me," Hannity said. "That is what we have called on this program as liberal fascism. Attack, boycott, all in an effort to silence conservatives. I serve at the pleasure of the Fox News Channel. I'm here to do my job every night."

Earlier in the program, Hannity announced he would no longer be discussing the murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich as a result of speaking with the man's family. (Nope, Fox said stop covering this or be fired, I believe.)

VA defends plan to cut thousands of dollars from elderly vets' benefits

Veterans Affairs officials on Wednesday defended plans to strip tens of thousands of dollars in unemployment benefits from elderly veterans as responsible reforms to the department’s growing budget, but opponents promised to fight the idea.

Included in President Donald Trump’s $186.5 billion VA budget for fiscal 2018 — a nearly 6 percent boost in discretionary spending from this year — are plans to dramatically cut the department's Individual Unemployability program.

Up to 225,000 veterans over the age of 60, at least 7,000 of whom are over 80, could be impacted by the change.

Individual Unemployability is a part of VA's disability compensation program that allows VA to pay certain Veterans disability compensation at the 100% rate, even though VA has not rated their service-connected disabilities at the total level.

USAA, an insurance, bank and financial services company that caters to active duty military, veterans and their families, is getting slammed by members after announcing on Twitter Wednesday night the company was withdrawing advertising on the Sean Hannity show in response to pressure from liberal activists trying to silence Hannity by cutting off his advertising base. It was not stated by USAA if they advertised on Hannity’s Fox News Channel show or his nationally syndicated radio show.
Hannity is a strong supporter of the military and veterans. He has a strong fan base among the military community.

Trump asks Justice Department to investigate intelligence leaks

Via Billy

President Trump vowed on Thursday to investigate "alleged leaks" just hours after the United Kingdom said it had stopped sharing intelligence with the U.S. related to the Manchester terror attack, over fears that information might also be leaked.

"The alleged leaks coming out of government agencies are deeply troubling," Trump said in a statement circulated by the White House. "These leaks have been going on for a long time and my administration will get to the bottom of this."

"I am asking the Department of Justice and other relevant agencies to launch a complete review of this matter, and if appropriate, the culprit should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Trump said. "There is no relationship we cherish more than the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom."

GOP Lawmaker Calls for Federal Investigation of Seth Rich Murder

Via Billy

Corpus Christi Republican Congressman Blake Farenthold considers the source behind the 2016 hack of the Democratic National Committee's email server an unanswered question and believes a federal investigation is warranted.

Speaking on CNN Wednesday, the fourth-term congressman refuted a widely believed conclusion that the Russian government interfered with the U.S. presidential election to aid President Donald Trump's campaign and instead indicated a conspiracy theory about a slain Democratic National Committee staffer could be true.

Kim Dotcom: The only conspiracy theory that I can see is the #RussiaCollusion story & How The US Government Legally Stole Millions From Kim Dotcom

About a month ago we covered the basics of the lawsuit by which the US government was seeking to keep pretty much all of Kim Dotcom's assets, despite the fact that Dotcom himself hasn't been tried -- and, in fact, it hasn't even been determined if he can be extradited to the United States (a country he's never visited). This week, that case took another step, with the judge, Liam O'Grady, who had already ruled that Kim Dotcom could be considered a "fugitive," more or less finalizing the theft of Dotcom's assets by declaring a default judgment in favor of the US. This isn't the end of the process (not by a longshot), but it highlights just how the US government can use some ridiculous procedures to steal millions in assets from someone who hasn't been shown to be guilty of anything.

As we discussed last time, the story of the raid on Kim Dotcom's rented home in New Zealand, the seizure of all of his cars, money, bank accounts, computers, servers, etc. is well known. That was part of a case for which Kim Dotcom was indicted (under what appears to be questionable legal reasoning -- but that's a separate issue). As has been widely reported, that case is still on hold while Dotcom fights extradition from New Zealand. The extradition fight will finally go to a New Zealand court later this summer. Once that's done, if Dotcom loses, he'll be sent to the US, where he'll face a criminal trial based on the indictment.

Notes of a Reformed News Weasel: Understanding the Vacuity

Do you wonder why the legacy media are such puzzled otherworldly twits? Why, for example, they had no idea what was happening in the recent election? Why they seem to know so very little about America or much of anything else?

Some thoughts from a guy who spent a career in the racket:

Ask journalists when they were last in a truck stop on an Interstate, last in Boone, North Carolina or Barstow, California or any of thousands of such towns across the country. Ask whether they were in the military, whether they have ever talked to a cop or an ambulance crewman or a fireman. Ask whether they have a Mexican friend, when they last ate in a restaurant where a majority of the customers were black.  Whether they know an enlisted man, or anyone in the armed services.

Whether they have hitchhiked overnight, baited a hook, hunted, or fired a rifle. Whether they have ever worked washing dishes, harvesting crops, driving a delivery truck. Whether they have a blue-collar friend. Know what the Texas Two-Step is, have been in a biker bar.

Now do you see why Trump surprised them?

The British government operated an "open door" policy that allowed Libyan exiles and British-Libyan citizens to join the 2011 uprising that toppled Muammar Gaddafi even though some had been subject to counter-terrorism control orders, Middle East Eye can reveal.

Several former rebel fighters now back in the UK told MEE that they had been able to travel to Libya with "no questions asked" as authorities continued to investigate the background of a British-Libyan suicide bomber who killed 22 people in Monday's attack in Manchester.

Was Vanity Fair Article in January 2016 a Warning to Seth Rich that His Life was in Danger?

Via Billy

There is already enough evidence in the Seth Rich murder case to warrant a special government investigation.   Now this –

T. A. Frank is a relatively unknown liberal nutjob contributor to Vanity Fair magazine until now. He wrote a piece in January of 2016 published in Vanity Fair that appears more than sinister to many following the Seth Rich murder investigation. Frank begins his article as follows:
For the second time in eight years, Hillary Clinton sees the Democratic nomination being pawed by a charming interloper, like a priceless vase grabbed by a panda. She’d prefer to shoot the panda, but that could mean breaking the vase, and onlookers would object. To make matters worse, Bernie Sanders, who leads Clinton in both New Hampshire and Iowa, has produced a new video ad, “America,” a wordless feel-hope montage that is awfully good, good enough that I can’t help feeling both moved by it and resentful that it works on me. Maybe shoot the panda.

 Lies of Omission

My duty was to deliver a DVD of Lies of Omission to Larry Pratt, then, on the way to the screening on May 20th in Canon City, CO, I wanted to stop by David Codrea and one of our producers Eben Hawkins. Eben has been a stalwart and a dedicated part of this film. I looked forward to meeting him and talking about the film, letting him have his say as to what he thought could be better.

Eben and I spent some time roaming the hills where he lives, checking out coal mines and oil wells. A new puppy was being brought along on behavior, we had some breakfast and watched Lies of Omission. Some constructive criticism was exchanged and finally, we parted ways.

I called to see if David Codrea would be able to see me and watch the film. When he responded that he would I headed in that direction, a few hours further on and I arrived at his house. We had some single-malt and  a great conversation with his two bright and inquisitive sons. It was one of those evenings that stay with me long into my life.

It’s Coming…We Must Steel Ourselves in Heart, Mind, and Body

Via Iver
The need for this will be here before long.

What, you may ask?  Simply the 10th* (yes, there actually were 9 of them in the Middle Ages) Crusade.  Each day that goes by, the Invader presses our culture and society with probes to see how much he can get away with.  Europe is under siege and is being taken because, simply, they have no Hope, no unifying belief to defend.

Here, many are under the false impression that Christians must sit and watch their culture, cities, towns, villages, families, women and children be pillaged, raped, and murdered while ‘turning the other cheek.’

Clearly understood Christian faith demands that we defend Christendom.  Get off the fence and off your ass.  Train.  Equip.  Prepare.  Yes, there still is time.  All you need do, Christian, is look to your priorities:  Faith, Strength, and Resolve.
