An Interview with Clyde Wilson, Part I

I first met Dr. Clyde Wilson in February 2018 at an Abbeville Institute conference in Charleston. I had been reading his many works since I began becoming more intellectually curious about Southern tradition, the War, Reconstruction, and the New South, my own Confederate ancestry, and what it all means for the world today. Once you crack the veneer of the Lincolnian mindset, you simply can’t avoid Wilson’s voluminous writings.

So, being the shameless dork I am, I introduced myself at the Friday night meet-and-greet and asked if he’d let my husband snap a picture of the two of us. So the man who’s considered the greatest living Southern historian humbly obliged, even though I’ve now learned he’s not a fan of posing for photos. What a gentleman.

Since then, Wilson has become a mentor to me. He encourages young and late-to-the-game Southern writers. He’s quick with a compliment if he thinks it’s deserved, but won’t pull punches if need be.

The College Football Hall of Fame is now gone.....obliterated in Atlanta

Via John

"A very tough night for downtown Atlanta. This is the FORMER College Football Hall of Fame.

It no longer exists. Not in Atlanta, nor anywhere else.

I'm 18 miles from my city center and yet I'm trapped in my house by a curfew
caused by "LIBERAL" flaming assholes and flaming liberal fucken mayor and governor.
They should be in jail and instead I'm, in effect, in "jail" least from 8pm to 6am daily.

After the Covid lockdown was just ending, now comes the Black Live Matters, Antifa, and radical Democrats lockdown. I'm tired of being a semi-prisoner. Three months is enough. I wish the sheriff would deputize me so I can legally break heads and knees, and I'm sure there are many, many, many, would gladly join in the effort, if permitted. Some of you reading this may wish to do the same.

I've done nothing wrong and I am completely, thoroughly, and totally FUCKING pissed
off and hope you are too. Progressives have to be destroyed and do so within the cities they've destroyed.

At this moment, 9:45 EDT, New York City is in a state of unbridled chaos. the Big Apple
has become the Rotten Apple. Where once there was Rudy G, who could have kept the city safe, there is now the uber-incompetent Big Bird, DeBlasio."

General Stonewall Jackson’s Flag Incinerated

"The ongoing terrorist attacks in Richmond claimed a priceless and irreplaceable artifact of Virginia History: General Stonewall Jackson’s flag that has been held in the United Daughters of the Confederacy Headquarters. It was incinerated. It’s gone. So too are many irreplaceable manuscripts.

They burned the books too.

During the riots, the building sustained heavy damage and many historical artifacts were lost. Although many of us watched the scene unfold on live TV and several videos and hundreds of photos are available, NO arrests have been made.

Thankfully, armed volunteers have stood guard along side pair security since the attack, and the building remained secure during a third night of lawless rioting in the Capital of the Confederacy."

Military police battalion consisting of 200 to 250 personnel now in process of deploying to DC

Live Updates on George Floyd Protests: Floyd's Death Was Homicide ...

After an optically-disastrous weekend of sending  mixed messaging, President Trump today seems to have found his footing. In one of his shortest speeches on record, Trump announced that he is officially ordering active duty military be deployed to Washington, DC, to reclaim the streets from ANTIFA forces to stop the looting, rioting, arson and physical assaults that have been the hallmark of the ‘peaceful protests’ of the radical Left.

This is not martial law per se, pretty close to it, but Trump is out of options at this point. Left unchecked, I feel the ANTIFA forces would have breached the White House in the next day or two.

Since the military will now be on the streets, they need to show George Soros and company what liberty looks like. The fine men and women of the United States Armed Forces need to release a little ‘shock-and-awe’ and make the ANTIFA forces pay a price for their rebellion.

Shot Timers And Their Uses

photo of supplies needed for shooting at a gun range

A basic shot timer measures and records how long it takes to deliver shots—or audibly signal when shooting can begin and must end. The versatile tool offers much more than a yardstick for competitive shooters or SWAT teams, though. The applications are ideal for gun owners with concealed carry permits and they breathe new life into informal range sessions.

A Measurement Of Time

There is no denying the shot timer’s roots grew in competitive shooting, though. Stopwatches were the early scoring approach during matches, although accuracy hinged on the timepiece operator’s reactions and consistency through often lengthy events. Results were sometimes dubious.

An early remedy was moving time measurement downrange to minimize human error, when a stopwatch rigged to the final steel target stopped when a bullet struck the metal—the stop plate. It could also signal when time was up, allowing total hits on targets in that stage to serve as the score. It was an innovative solution, one still used to this day. Early versions didn’t offer the hundredths-of-a-second accuracy that typically separates top shooters, though.

You Get What You Vote For and in Democrat-Run Cities You Get Riots

Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Fayetteville, Atlanta, New York, Nashville, Seattle, Portland, Philadelphia,  Chicago, Milwaukee, Salt Lake, Washington DC, Detroit, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Kansas City, Houston, Charlotte, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, Tampa, Baltimore, Oakland, Louisville

What do all those American cities have in common?
  1. They’re all run by Democrats, many for generations.
  2. They’ve all been looted and burned by left-wing Antifa terrorists and other anarchist groups over the past few nights.
That’s no coincidence.

What’s more, these riots are not America’s problem….

These riots are not President Trump’s problem…

Nope, these riots are wholly owned by the Democrat Party and the fools who continue to vote for them.

Just when I thought Biden couldn't say anything stupider....: "Cops Should Shoot Suspects ‘in the Leg Instead of the Heart’"

Pin on News from My Amigo

Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden suggested Monday that police training would change for the better if it included teaching officers to shoot unarmed people in the leg rather than firing a fatal shot.

Biden’s comments were made at a meeting at Bethel AME Church in Wilmington, Delaware, discussing the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police and the violent unrest that has swept the nation in response.

Schooling Your Kids At Home? Why Not Use the Range as a Classroom?

As we muddle through the current pandemic it’s important to remember we are living history. During these times of change, there are plenty of opportunities. At times they hit you in the face and in other instances, you have to seek them out. Since schools across the nation have suspended classes, kids were “going to school” at home before summer vacation started, and it appears that some schools will be continuing remotely in the fall. In this article, we’ll look at ways to use the range as a classroom.

Barr: Violence from Antifa, other groups 'is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly'

 View image on Twitter
"As a reminder, it is a federal crime to cross state lines or to use interstate facilities to incite or participate in violent rioting. We WILL be enforcing these laws."
~~Kupec DOJ

Attorney General William Barr said Sunday that the Department of Justice will treat violence by individuals associated with Antifa as domestic terrorism in a statement that condemned the far-left group and asserted that protests against police brutality and racial inequality following George Floyd's death have "been hijacked."
Such demonstrations in cities nationwide have turned into violent riots complete with looting, attacks against police and arson.

Barr's statement came after President Trump earlier Sunday said he would designate Antifa as a terrorist organization. Antifa -- short for "anti-fascist" -- has very little central organization but violent left-wing protesters, particularly in places like Portland, Ore., often act under the Antifa banner.

George Floyd’s VIOLENT Night — Invading Home Of Single Woman, Robbing and Beating Her At Gunpoint…

Via 4Branch

First off, i’m half black, grew up only knowing my black side — my mom is black, and i’ve never met my white father (apparently rare circumstances, i’ve only met 1 other person who shares this upbringing with me).

While I’ve never met George Floyd, I am only 3 degrees of seperation from him. Without going in to too much detail, I’m good friends with someone whos father is friends with George. This is who initially told me some of this, and I began digging deeper.

They have us out in the streets, over somebody we shouldn’t lift a finger for.
