Vietnam's Sepia-Drenched Past

The past was just as colorful as our present, though we rarely imagine it that way.

To picture distant decades, our brains rely on a hodgepodge of available photographs and videos, and the further back one attempts to travel, the more beholden one becomes to the limitations of old technologies. Such is the case when trying to imagine life in 1931 Cochinchina. We often picture the colonial era as grainy, soft and monochromatic thanks to photographs like those of Paul Gastaldy.

The French photographer maintained a Saigon studio from 1922 to 1932 and actively traveled to capture the lives and people of the colony. While technically impressive, his portraits and landscape shots are limited by the film quality of the era, and further impacted by nearly a century of storage. Looking at them, one gets a glimpse of the period, but is it an accurate one? Stripped of their color, details, definition and context, is the world they depict not just a phlizz? Perhaps they should be considered impressionist outlines that one fills in by looking deeply at one's modern surroundings?

Mob Rule: Here Are the Folks Who Were Scalped or Targeted by the Far Left for Criticizing Black Lives Matter

The UK-based Free Speech Union had an excellent thread on Twitter listing the staggering number of people who were forced to resign or are facing calls for termination for criticizing the Black Lives Matter movement. For one reporter, he got targeted for noting the lack of social distancing at a BLM rally in Wales. From academia to MTV, the Free Speech Union said there is an "alarming" amount of folks losing their jobs for exercising their free speech rights.

Her Name Is Breonna Taylor: Studies in Applied Stupidity

But the pillagers are overwhelmingly black. Expecting them to behave as if civilized would be racist, and intolerant, and cultural imperialism, and discrimination, and just like Hitler. So they hunt and gather at will, shrieking in ebonics and streaming from stores with bags of booty. It is the same in every riot. No, most blacks are not looters. Yes, many are horrified by it. Yes, blacks are human beings and have feelings like everybody else, etc. It remains that looting and burning are a black game.

This will be a disoriented essay. These are disorienting times. Perhaps the reader should prepare himself with a double shot of Wild Turkey throat sanitizer, or a doob.

I am still getting mail saying that Floyd’s death was due to underlying conditions. I see. By purest coincidence, he died of natural causes while hand-cuffed, face down, with cops kneeling on him.

Nothing could be more natural.

Welcome to America’s Cultural Revolution

Tom Cotton on liberals slamming NYT for printing his op-ed: This ...

Even in the opinion section, only approved thought is permitted.

We’re in the dawn of a high-tech, bloodless Cultural Revolution; one that relies on intimidation, public shaming, and economic ruin to dictate what words and ideas are permissible in the public square.

“Words are violence” has always been an illiberal notion meant to stifle speech and open discourse.

Popularized by a generation of coddled and brittle college students, it now guides policy on editorial pages at newspapers such as the Philadelphia Inquirer, the New York Times, and most major news outlets.

Popularity of Black Lives Matter Jumps to 62% - Should be a parody.

African American GOP legislator draws sharp criticism after calling Black Lives Matter 'terrorist' group

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 62% of Likely U.S. Voters now have a favorable opinion of Black Lives Matter, with 32% who share a Very Favorable one. This compares to 37% and 13% respectively the last time we asked this question four years ago.

Thirty-one percent (31%) still view the organization unfavorably, including 16% with a Very Unfavorable view. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Forty-nine percent (49%) of blacks regard Black Lives Matter Very Favorably, compared to 28% of whites and 36% of other minority voters.

Thirty percent (30%) of all voters say they have a more favorable view of Black Lives Matter following the recent protests. Just as many (30%) view the group less favorably. The opinion of 38% is about the same.

There is no equality of income because there is no equality of output.  Whites stay in school; learn to earn.  Blacks drop out to lay about.  The federal government is the employer of last resort for many, many blacks.Civil Service jobs pay well, and Blacks are preferred, but they're not capable, so they're hired at the pay grade of the position, but not required to perform to the standard for the position.  Affirmative Action.  Federal payrolls could be cut handily, if the majority non performers were terminated.  Never happen, though.

I cannot say how many times I've seen one or two white girls carrying an office full of Black poseurs.
I cannot say how many times I've seen Black athletes, utterly illiterate, hired as engineers to meet quotas.

I can say the Army is burdened with a large supercargo of no military value, overweight unwed mothers, non-deployable, non producers drawing a check and all the benefits.  Untouchable because Black. People complain about the VA. Guess what, where and who the problem is.  Typical throughout the
bureaucracy.

Understand though, that among the useless eaters, there are  o u t s t a n d i n g  individuals. Heroes and Heroines because the culture despises them.  'Oreos'.  They do what's right, earn their money and are worthy people and citizens.

The tragedy is there are so few.

If Trump loses, then what?

We do a fast descend into Venezuela, then Cuba, and China as the UN steps in to perform the coup de grace.  They will temporarily install the Obamas  as stand ins for a Castro, et al.  Normal Caucasians will be SOL.  There will be an open season on them in pretty short order.  The mind control psyop against white folks has infected most of the poor dumb simps who have spent too much time in front of a boob tube and too many years in the indoctrination boot camps called the education system, ran by communists since WWII, and on steroids since the first consolidated school system was installed circa 1956 or 58, can't remember any more, in Kentucky, quickly followed by Indiana, etc.

The destruction of the black family by actors like LBJ removed the dad from the family and the destruction of the black schools was the death knell for a stable black family life.  Promotion of multiculturalism is a tool for white genocide.  Go to military base cities and look at who is with whom.  It looks like a bar scene from a sci-fi movie, dogs sleeping with cats, snakes with sheep, tattoos from the top of their head to the bottom of their feet, metal sticking out of places you really don't want to think about.  It has been decades since I have even fleetingly spotted intelligent life on any level.

The founding fathers were correct, the Republic would be lucky to last 25 years.  We could put volumes together with all of our experiences, but no one would read, care, or dare to become enlightened, much less want to change.  These people are happy to be ignorant.  People like George Soros has kept them in enough money and stuff to go along with the joke.  It will take a complete destruction of 99% of the population to have any hopes of the future.  The good Lord may well walk this planet at some point and just start over with a  new canvass.  Most of us have had some hard times, but have been pretty lucky at the same time.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.  Don't sweat the small stuff, and it is ALL small stuff.  Food, lead and barter items are a good idea, right after good filtered water.  Friends if you are lucky enough.
