In February 2017, Fortune wrote about a viral Twitter prompt from sociologist Eve Ewing:
“If you could choose one historical struggle that many people don’t know about and have it be taught in schools, what would it be?”
Among dozens of “eye-opening” responses in this “crowdsourced curriculum,” Fortune identified The Battle of Blair Mountain, the largest domestic armed insurrection in the United States since the Civil War (and one waged in the heart of what some now call “Trump Country”).

Kimberly Guilfoyle on Women’s March: ‘The More They Talk … the More It Turns Off the American People’

People participate in the annual Women's March on January 18, 2020 in New York City. In the fourth iteration of the Women’s March, thousands are marching in cities across the world to draw focus on immigration, climate change and abortion rights. (Photo by Yana Paskova/Getty Images)
“Let them talk. Let the leftist activists [and] the Hollywood crazies talk. Remember that? Madonna and all the rest of them carrying on? The more they talk and say things like that, the more it turns off the American people.
“When you think about it, what do they have to say? They talk about burning down the White House and how they’re going to leave the country. Well, tick-tock; we’re waiting.

“Let them talk,” Kimberly Guilfoyle said about Saturday’s “Women’s March,” describing the left-wing and partisan Democrat event as unappealing to Americans and offering her comments in an interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Matt Boyle.

Boyle said, “The other thing we’re going to see later today — and it’s ongoing right now, around D.C. and around the country — is these anti-Trump women’s marches. We’ve seen them every year since he’s been president. It’s orchestrated by the radical left. But it seems like they’re kind of losing support as each year goes by that they do them.”

Grave Tendings

Image result for Jerrold Nadler, side-by-side with Adam Schiff,

So titanically self-unaware is the Democratic Resistance that it failed to grok it was actually signing the party’s death warrant Wednesday, complete with official Nancy Pelosi commemorative black-and-gold signature pens. And that their solemn, prayerful journey from one side of the Capitol building to the other was actually the conveyance of that death warrant in what amounted to the party’s funeral march. Remember this eternal paradox of the human condition: people get what they deserve, not what they expect.

Could you look at the line-up of Democratic impeachment managers without laughing? Was there ever such a band of hapless, misbegotten ninnies assembled for a suicide mission? Led by the waddling homunculus, Jerrold Nadler, side-by-side with Adam Schiff, oozing a flop-sweat of falsehood, a rank cloud of bathos trailed the procession to the Senate side with its pathetic bill-of-particulars.

Gun Control Advocates Ignore the Data On Reciprocity

Gun Control Advocates Ignore the Data On Reciprocity

So much of the gun control debate is about things that might go wrong. Democrats, who just took control of the Virginia state legislature, are about to pass a law that will dramatically limit the ability of people with concealed handgun permits from other states to carry in Virginia. There haven’t been any problems with these permit holders, but that doesn’t matter for gun control advocates.

Virginia State Democrats Launch Into An Anti-Gun Law Frenzy

Adopted in 1861 after secession.

Virginia Democrats are on a tear to pass as much anti-Second Amendment legislation as possible and are sadly determined to shame the Commonwealth’s own state motto, “sic semper tyrannis,” or “thus always to tyrants”— a rallying cry against abuse of power.

In the last week, the Virginia state Senate passed three anti-gun bills, including requiring background checks on all firearm sales, limiting gun purchases to one in a 30-day period, and allowing localities to ban guns from public events. This was after lawmakers voted the week prior to ban all firearms from the Capitol building, citing the need protect public safety in anticipation of this week’s contentious gun bills. (Of course, the only real effect of this rule was long security lines, delaying staffers, citizens, and thus the votes).

FAA Declares Airspace Over Richmond, VA “National Defense Airspace” Until After Lobby Day

They have this every year. Egging us on to violence, me thinks.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has not only issued temporary flight restrictions for Richmond, Virginia for Monday, but has designated the airspaces are “National Defense Airspace” until after Lobby Day, where tens of thousands of people who support the Second Amendment will gather on the Capitol grounds.

“Any person who knowingly or willingly violates the rules concerning operations in this airspace may be subject to certain criminal penalties under 49 USC 46307,” the FAA’s notice said.
