Russian firm linked to Putin's chef accuses special counsel of 'pettifoggery.'

A federal judge has rejected special counsel Robert Mueller’s request to delay the first court hearing in a criminal case charging three Russian companies and 13 Russian citizens with using social media and other means to foment strife among Americans in advance of the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

In a brief order Saturday evening, U.S. District Court Judge Dabney Friedrich offered no explanation for her decision to deny a request prosecutors made Friday to put off the scheduled Wednesday arraignment for Concord Management and Consulting, one of the three firms charged in the case.

Excellent: 'Take It to SCOTUS': Levin Says DOJ Precedent Shows 'Rogue' Mueller Cannot Indict Trump

Constitutional attorney and radio host Mark Levin said two previous Department of Justice memoranda outlaw the ability of a sitting president to be indicted.

Levin said both a 1973 and a 2000 edict interpret the Constitution to delineate that a sitting president cannot be indicted by a prosecutor.

"This is the Department of Justice speaking, [not me]," Levin said. "Special prosecutors cannot supplant Congress."

"Guns went off by mistake"

Well, they must have their own minds.....:)

“I actually hate guns. They freak me out. If you were ever in a situation in which you had a gun, that means you’re in a situation where you wanted to kill somebody.”
 – Matt Damon (Evidently a Publix Skool graduate)

They are the "good guys with guns" the National Rifle Association says are needed to protect students from shooters: a school police officer, a teacher who moonlights in law enforcement, a veteran sheriff.

Yet in a span of 48 hours in March, the three were responsible for gun safety lapses that put students in danger.

Let me get this straight. It seems, John Kerry is holding secret meetings, colluding with foreign officials. As a private citizen John Kerry, has no power to represent the United States of America. Since, John Kerry, does not represent America in these secret meetings. It begs the question, who does John Kerry, represent in these secret meetings, while colluding with foreign officials? Officials know to oppose America, American Citizens, and American Interests. And another question, who is pulling John Kerry’s strings and who is financing these adventures?

Peter Schiff: Bernie’s Guaranteed Jobs Program Is Utter Nonsense

 Via R

Bernie Sanders wants everybody to have a job with health benefits paying $15 per hour. Most people would like to see that happen. But Bernie is willing to put your money where his mouth is. He’s come up with a plan guaranteeing every American worker “who wants or needs one” such a job. Here’s how the Washington Post described the proposal.

Gentleman Bob and the Decline of the South

audubon quail

Re-post 2015

Coal miners have their canaries; we have colinus virginiánus, the bobwhite quail. Like the canary that goes silent as the oxygen levels in a mine drop, so too has the quail gone silent in large swaths of the South.

The decline of Gentleman Bob has been attributed to any number of factors. Wildlife biologists blame the loss and destruction of favorable habitat. Some point to diseases and parasites as the true ravagers of the quail. Myself, I lay the blame at a number of doors. The small farms with their hedgerows and weedy edges, where people, crops, and quail thrived have gone missing. As these habitats began to disappear, wildlife agencies began a curious love affair with such varmints as hawks, coyotes and wolves.

The decline of trapping among the younger generation after the 1960s may have been celebrated heartily in many a fox den, PETA den, and raccoon nest, but not so much by Gentleman Bob who now had more worries to add to his list. Loss of habitat, the ever expanding suburban savannah and its 1” putting green lawns, and game laws that favored predators over prey have left Gentlemen Bob in a bad way.

Kerry is quietly seeking to salvage Iran deal he helped craft

Former US secretary of state John Kerry.

John Kerry’s bid to save one of his most significant accomplishments as secretary of state took him to New York on a Sunday afternoon two weeks ago, where, more than a year after he left office, he engaged in some unusual shadow diplomacy with a top-ranking Iranian official.

He sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person briefed on the meetings.

".....what they’ll try is sending 10,000, 50,000, or 200,000 people across the border."

Doug Casey

It’s no secret that Donald Trump wants to put 2,000–4,000 troops on the U.S.–Mexico border. And that’s because he believes that the “security of the United States is imperiled by a drastic surge of illegal activity on the southern border.”

We love hearing Doug Casey’s take on these controversial issues, so we’re sharing Casey Daily Dispatch editor Justin Spittler’s conversation with him on the topic.

Justin: What do you make of this, Doug? Will deploying thousands of troops to the border curb illegal immigration?
Doug: Well, it looks like what could have been a crisis has been temporarily defused. What might have been thousands of migrants rushing the border has apparently dwindled to a few stragglers. A non-event.

Frazzled Mueller begs court for delay after Russians call his bluff on evidence

An attempt by special counselor Robert Mueller to harangue a number of Russian companies and individuals for allegedly interfering in the 2016 presidential election appears to be backfiring “bigly.”

On Friday the special counselor’s office sought to delay its first court hearing on the matter out of what appeared to be anxiety.

When Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities in February, he assumed his foreign-based targets would simply ignore any future court proceedings since they clearly live outside his jurisdiction, according to Politico. He assumed wrong.

FBI Chaos: Comey Caught In Lie Over Flynn Investigation; Anti-Trump "Lovebird" Lisa Page Quits

Quite a bit of FBI-related news broke late Friday;
  • A newly unredacted section of a House Intel Committee report reveals that former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe told Congressional investigators that the FBI had virtually no case against Mike Flynn
  • The same report reveals that James Comey contradicted himself during a recent interview with Bret Baier
  • Comey, McCabe and then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Mary McCord gave the committee "conflicting testimony"
  • Anti-Trump FBI "Lovebird" Lisa Page (with whom Peter Strzok was having an affaird) has flown the coop, tendering her resignation on Friday
  • One of Comey's closest confidants, former FBI top lawyer James A. Baker also resigned Friday
A newly unredacted version of the House Intelligence Committee's final report on Russia was released on Friday, containing bombshell revelations stemming from the Congressional testimony of former FBI and DOJ officials Andrew McCabe and James Comey.

Honestly, who wrote this? Yeah, I know it’s from Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), but who on this staff wrote this rather great piece of comedy regarding military-style rifles. He wants to ban them, buy them back, and prosecute anyone who doesn’t abide by his proposed la.

How eccentric inventor Barnes Wallis created the Dambusters bouncing bomb with marbles and a catapult

Via David

The Lancaster was ideal for an attack on the dams because of its huge bomb bay, great loading capacity and because it was highly manoeuvrable

The British Government had long been aware of the strategic importance of the dams in the Ruhr region of north west Germany, particularly in providing water and energy.

As early as 1937, the Air Ministry drew up a list of targets which included three of the largest: the Mohne, the Eder and the Sorpe — all massively reinforced with steel and concrete.

The Ministry recognised that if these key dams could be breached, then devastation of almost Biblical proportions could be inflicted on the Ruhr.
