Saigon April 2, 2017

The  Bánh mì sandwich girl and her uncle.
Hadn't had this Nuoc Mam before, but it is excellent and cheap.

Across the street.  Too bad I didn't have a camera that could have done a better job.

My sweetie. Either hugs me or plops on my lap with her computer each time.

I thought this wouldn't taste good, but was most incorrect.

Taking it to a customer on the top porch.  She asked if she had arranged it well :)

Drool away. :)  Cơm Bình Dân . This stand is the best on the street. They open at 6PM with the husband and wife working a mile a second to serve the waiting customers. You receive rice, soup with condiments and your pick of what you would like from the many dishes changing daily. Yum. About 80 cents which I divide into two meals.

Hot Vit Lon for 20 cents and Rượu đế starting at 4 cents. (70, 80 or 90% alcohol.) :) Top two pictures.

I became the cashier since the cook/waitress couldn't read Vietnamese which is extremely unusual.

 220V!  Who's first....? :)

His father is the Ionlife water distributor which I need for my low sodium level.  His son likes to play with my hair for some reason. :)

Once the attendees have had a chance to hands on with land nav and scanning, they'll get a live fire of transmitting directionally, from an OP to another OP we will set up, and a QRP NVIS demo. This Is A War

 Lies of Omission

In reference to my previous post, if you look at the comments.

Are we not yet done with this quarreling over what is legal and not legal, Constitutional and not Constitutional and whether the Constitution was a flawed document? What difference does it make? It is not in use, but if the shell of what it was can be used as a tool to hammer the Marxists that have co-opted it for their own use when it serves them and ignore it all together when it is not useful, do we really have to have this argument?

Let me spell it out. There is no Constitution. The fact that it exists on paper somewhere is wholly irrelevant. Why do you think I have largely (not completely, but largely) refused to reference it over these past few years? I used the Constitution, not as a shield as some seem to think, but as a reference point to demonstrate that our government was no longer bound by it. It was in the vain hope to give some courage to those who thought our government was somehow still legitimate. Everything I have written on the Constitution, even when I wrote the book, was to illustrate the fact that it was not in use by our government and that all of the machinations of the Supreme Court were, if not designed, at least instructive, that they knew how to get around all those pesky words.

The only thing the Constitution is good for now, is to bludgeon the Marxists, to make them violate it, to explain their violation and watch them make logical fools of themselves when they try to justify their illegal actions. That's all. Nothing more.

Europe: Combating Fake News

  • If present demographic trends continue, in a few decades, native Swedes could easily become a minority in their own country.
  • Swedish ambulance personnel want gas masks and bulletproof vests to protect their staff against the escalating attacks, similar to equipment used by staff working in war zones.
  • Most dangerous, however, is our inability to deal forcefully with problems undermining Western societies, because some Western media refuse to admit that the problems exist.
In January 2015 The New York Times denied that there are "no-go-zones" -- areas that are not under the control of the state and are ruled according to sharia law -- dominated by certain immigrant groups in some urban areas in Western Europe. The American newspaper mentioned this author, alongside writers such as Steven Emerson and Daniel Pipes, for spreading this alleged falsehood.

The article was published shortly after Islamic terrorists had massacred the staff of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris on January 7, 2015. Other established media outlets such as the magazine The Atlantic also dismissed claims of no-go-zones.

ICE Report Lists Cities Releasing Dangerous Criminal Illegal Aliens Back On The Streets

Via Billy

Looks like we need to get rid of California.

As the issue of illegal and unconstitutional sanctuary cities is taking center stage in American politics, a recent report from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency is not only demonstrating that those who say that sanctuary cities don't create a dangerous atmosphere for their communities are wrong, but the ICE report names the biggest offending cities.

"Pursuant to section 9(b) of Executive Order 13768, Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States, and section H of the Secretary of Homeland Security’s subsequent implementation memo, Enforcement of the Immigration Laws to Serve the National Interest, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is making available for public release the non-Federal jurisdictions that release aliens from their custody, notwithstanding that such aliens are subject to a detainer or similar request for custody issued by ICE to that jurisdiction," the report begins.  "For instances of such release, the report also includes the associated individual’s citizenship, detainer issued and declined dates, and notable criminal activity. ICE compiled this report based on jurisdictions with detainers that were recorded as declined between February 4, 2017 and February 10, 2017, regardless of detainer issuance date."

China Bans Veils and ‘Abnormal’ Beards in Western Province of Xinjiang

China has banned wearing veils as part of a major crackdown on what it sees as religious extremism in the western province of Xinjiang.

The measure, which comes into effect Saturday, also bans "abnormal" beards and names, as well as other "extremist signs." Forcing others to wear veils is also forbidden.

Xinjiang, China's westernmost region, is home to the Uighurs, a Muslim group which claims to face discrimination from the Han Chinese.

13 reasons to declare Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization

Via Mike

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has been responsible for many assassinations, attacks on churches and violent uprisings over the years.

President Trump has decided not to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization, at least for now, according to published reports citing pressure from the U.S. State Department and the King of Jordan.

Anonymous sources told the Washington Times that the administration “backed down from a plan to designate the Brotherhood” after an internal State Department memo advised against it.

The State Department’s argument – put forth in a memo to the White House – comes down to a belief that there is actually more than one Brotherhood and that one side is not as bad as the other because it works through democratic processes in the Middle East, the Washington Times reports.

Chicago Mayor Creates New ID so that Illegal Immigrants can get Welfare without Risking Repatriation

Image result for Chicago Mayor Creates New ID so that Illegal Immigrants can get Welfare

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel defied President Donald Trump and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) back in November stating that illegal aliens had a home in Chicago. Now, he is taking things a step further.  In the wake of Attorney General Jeff Sessions'  warning that sanctuary cities, like Chicago, could lose taxpayer money that is funneled through bureaucracy via the central government for harboring illegal immigrants, the mayor has decided to push for a new plan to create an identification card that would specifically be used to make sure illegal aliens in the city could get welfare benefits with minimal risk to repatriation.

Emanuel pushed City Clerk Anna Valencia to move up the municipal ID's time frame of one year to take care of those who are in the city illegally with taxpayer money.  They will do this by not asking about immigration status and only minimal information about the person desiring the ID.

According to Ms. Valencia's website, the ID  will be “an optional, valid, government-issued ID that they can then use to access a range of services from both the private and public sectors.”

Trump White House curtails bar association’s pre-nomination vetting of judges

Via Billy

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts is shown speaks at the American Bar Association's annual meeting in Boston, in this file photo from Monday, Aug. 11, 2014. On March 31, 2017, the Trump White House announced it was curtailing the ABA's role in evaluating the president's nominations to the federal bench. (AP Photo/Elise Amendola) **FILE**

President Trump will not ask the American Bar Association to evaluate candidates for federal judgeships prior to formally nominating them for the more than 100 existing judicial vacancies — a departure from a practice that has been previously criticized for bias against Republican nominees.

ABA President Linda Klein announced Friday that the association was “notified that the White House does not intend to follow the long-standing practice of inviting the independent ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary to review the professional qualifications of prospective nominees to the lower federal courts on a pre-nomination basis.”

A trade group with more than 400,000 members, the ABA first began evaluating potential nominees in 1953. The decision by the Trump administration to drop the pre-nomination evaluations follows in the footsteps of President George W. Bush, who was the first president to break from the long-standing practice.

President Trump tweeted Saturday his approval of a New York Times piece about Obamacare.

"The failing @nytimes finally gets it — 'In places where no insurance company offers plans, there will be no way for ObamaCare customers t... use subsidies to buy health plans." In other words, Ocare is dead. Good things will happen, however, either with Republicans or Dems," he said in a pair of tweets.

Vice President Mike Pence suggested Saturday that moving ahead on tax reform will only happen once Obamacare is repealed and replaced.

"We will repeal and replace Obamacare and give the American people the world-class healthcare they deserve," he said. "And once Obamacare is gone, we're going to cut taxes across the board."

Image result for Senate committee targets FBI No. 2 in Trump dossier probe

Sen. Charles Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has sent a letter to FBI Director James Comey demanding the story behind the FBI's reported plan to pay the author of a lurid and unsubstantiated dossier on candidate Donald Trump. In particular, Grassley appears to be zeroing in on the FBI's deputy director, Andrew McCabe, indicating Senate investigators want to learn more about McCabe's role in a key aspect of the Trump-Russia affair.
