Lost Cause Myth or Yankee Propaganda

Whether it’s the Civil War, War Between the States, the War for Southern Independence or Lincoln’s War, this extremely important period of American history continues to resonate powerfully over 150 years later. And with American Veterans monuments and artwork being censored and removed throughout the country, some might even say that Reconstruction and the fight over Jeffersonian ideals vs. Hamiltonianism never really ended. But whatever the case, the June/July 2018 issue ofMissouri Life, a glossy grocery store checkout magazine printed up for the masses, recently reinvigorated a debate in regards to one of the most successful and infamous Confederate military victories in the Trans-Mississippi Theatre in 1863.

Trade War Update: U.S. Goes For China's Jugular

Via

Companies have been slowly moving their production lines to Malaysia, Vietnam and elsewhere in Southeast Asia to avoid rising wages and land costs.

If you want to know the endgame in this China trade war, it is probably this: redirect supply chains to favor American manufacturers; pressure the Communist Party to open its mega domestic market to Americans with no strings (already happening pre-tariffs); and challenge Chinese dominance in Asia, a dominance many in Washington feel was ill-gotten, partly on the backs of intellectual property theft.

China is an export-driven economy. It owes its wealth to that. The Trump Administration is going after China’s jugular. And China is feeling it.

'Racist' Civil War cannons removed from park, returned to Confederate group

Via Susan  "So canons are racist now, huh...?'

The replica Civil War cannons that used to stand in a Memphis park alongside a statue of Jefferson Davis were removed Wednesday and turned over to the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Van Turner with Memphis Greenspace, the nonprofit that now owns the park, said he had planned on putting the cannons in storage until SCV showed him an invoice showing that the group had purchased them. He said he felt comfortable turning them over the SCV.

Trump pardoned the Hammonds, but there's more to be done

 lott 010716 hammonds petition gonner

Congratulations to President Trump for heeding my call, and the calls of other westerners, farmers, and ranchers, to pardon the Hammonds. Neither he, nor his appointees, nor bureaucrats, however, should rest on their laurels. There are many agency vendettas and prosecutorial abuses to undo, and many innocents to be made whole. One of those victims is Pastor Victor Fuentes of Nevada.

Dwight and Steven Hammond are a father-son ranching duo from Oregon. They were prosecuted under a terrorism statute and sentenced to five years in prison in 2015, punishment for arson charges that stemmed from controlled burns started on their ranch that spread onto nearby public lands.

Trump pardoned them on July 10. In a congratulatory commentary on the pardon, the Wall Street Journal's editorial board reported that in its efforts to “drive out [the Hammonds and other ranchers],” the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service “mismanaged water to let ranchlands flood.”

The Hammonds are not the only westerners wronged in a case of “theft by flooding.” So, too, was Pastor Fuentes, who fled Castro’s Cuba and whose church — a small, mostly Spanish-speaking congregation — built a 40-acre refuge in the Nevada desert for troubled youth.

Democrats have a new millennial problem: Young socialist candidates

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

While Democrats have always embraced socialist policies to a certain extent, claiming to be a “socialist” was taboo until recently, with the change thanks in large part to a surge in millennial candidates running for office.

Even though the 2018 midterm elections are more than three months out, Democrats have quickly lost control of their agenda for the American people. Any plan that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi may have had for their divided caucus is now being forcibly pulled further to the left by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Democratic congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28 year-old progressive darling of the Bronx who is almost certain to win her election in an overwhelmingly Democratic district.

The 10 Most Destructive Americans of My 8 Decades

America has undergone enormous change during the nearly eight decades of my life. Today, America is a bitterly divided, poorly educated and morally fragile society with so-called mainstream politicians pushing cynical identity politics, socialism and open borders. The president of the United States is threatened with impeachment because the other side doesn’t like him. The once reasonably unbiased American media has evolved into a hysterical left wing mob. How could the stable and reasonably cohesive America of the 1950s have reached this point in just one lifetime? Who are the main culprits? Here’s my list of the 10 most destructive Americans of the last 80 years.

Police Kill Innocent Homeowner After He Killed Intruder

Black, who grew up in Anderson, South Carolina, graduated from The Citadel and fought in the war in Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and a Purple Heart for his bravery.

Gary Black had just killed a home break-in artist when police mistook him for the criminal and shot him dead.

Naturally, all attention is being devoted to the big mistake by police.

However, Gary would still be alive if not for the real criminal. Blacks and wetbacks have moved into the area, turning a formerly safe neighborhood into a dangerous one. The press needs to identify the dead perp, along with his criminal record.

Warszawskie dzieci, pójdziemy w bój
(“Warsaw’s children, we go to fight”)

Today is the 74th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, which was organized by the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) resistance movement and which lasted from August 1st to October 2nd, 1944.

Zero Hour is commemorated at 1700 hrs local time every August 1st with one-minute’s howl of air-raid sirens to mark the start of the insurrection.

There is nothing new under the sun and there already was a Generation Zyklon. No, they didn’t gas anyone, but they fought like warriors to take back their city. And they won — seven decades later, the city belongs to them. There is special lore about the kids who took part in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. Boys as young as ten fought as riflemen, boys and girls served as nurses’ aides, barricade builders, and couriers who navigated through sewer tunnels.

NYU Professor: We’re On the Verge of “Completely Losing Our Culture”

We’re undergoing a Maoist-like Cultural Revolution — with the power of the corporate mass media, corporate social media, the academy, most of corporate America, the deep state, the shadow government, and most of the legal apparatuses behind it. Anti-western, anti-individual, anti-Christian, anti-liberty monsters are ravaging our cultural legacies as well as our contemporary arts and letters. Our entire culture is under siege and undergoing an utter and relentless social justice dismantling. Leftist totalitarianism is running amok. We’re on the precipice of completely losing our culture, the benefits of western civilization, and the entire legacy of western civilizational history. A major resurgence and counter attack is necessary and soon.

How dare the left have pretensions of moral superiority. Leftists in power have mass-murdered and imprisoned more people than any other contingent in political history. Don’t come around here acting morally superior to me or anyone else, you monsters.

South Africa to change constitution to legalize taking away white farmers' land

‘They want us all to leave’: South African farmer wants to move to Russia, change name to Ivan

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has said the ruling African National Congress must initiate a parliamentary process to enshrine in the constitution a proposed amendment, paving the way for land grabs without compensation.

Ramaphosa, who vowed to return the lands owned by the white farmers since the 1600s to the country's black population after he assumed office in February this year, said on Tuesday that the ANC would introduce a constitutional amendment in parliament.
"The ANC will through the parliamentary process finalize the proposed amendment to the constitution that outlines more clearly the conditions under which expropriation of land without compensation can be effected," Ramaphosa, a prominent trade union leader and a close associate of Nelson Mandela, said in a televised address on Tuesday.

"Trump’s unorthodox presidency has been a great gift. It has exposed the corruption in our government, and the betrayal of the American public by so much of the press."

Our media’s valiant efforts to distract us notwithstanding, information continues to seep out that underscores how badly a housecleaning is needed in Washington, D.C.

Last week saw the release of the applications used to obtain warrants from the FISA court to spy on Carter Page, an adviser to the Trump presidential campaign. Obtained by Judicial Watch, the 400-plus pages of (heavily redacted) documents support the conclusions earlier drawn by the House

Intelligence Committee (and denounced by Democrats as hysteria): the FISA warrants were obtained through obfuscation and deceit.

What Are the FBI and CIA Hiding?

 George Papadopoulos in London.

The agency might have led the bureau down a rabbit hole in the 2016 Trump counterintelligence probe

Did the Central Intelligence Agency lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation down a rabbit hole in the counterintelligence investigation of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign?

Although the FBI’s case officially began July 31, 2016, there had been investigative activity before that date. John Brennan’s CIA might have directed activity in Britain, which could be a problem because of longstanding agreements that the U.S. will not conduct intelligence operations there. It would explain why the FBI continues to stonewall Congress as to the inquiry’s origin.

Further, what we know about the case’s origin does not meet the threshold required by the attorney general guidelines for opening a counterintelligence case. That standard requires “predicate information,” or “articulable facts.”

Tommy Robinson bailed after Court of Appeal win: "All the British media do is lie. I have a lot to say but nothing to you."

 Tommy Robinson released from prison

Former English Defence League (EDL) leader Tommy Robinson has been released on bail after winning an appeal against a contempt of court finding.

The 35-year-old admitted the charge and was jailed in May for filming outside Leeds Crown Court during a trial.

At the Court of Appeal, Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett ruled the case be reheard as there had been technical flaws by the judge who jailed him.

Robinson's solicitors said everyone has the "right to a fair hearing".

The far-right activist, from Luton, was not present for the ruling in London and was released from his 13-month sentence being served at Onley Prison, near Rugby just before 15:30 BST.
