Z-Street Wins Ruling Against IRS – Was Targeted By Obama Officials Because of It’s Pro-Israel Views

Via LH

Z Street representative Lori Lowenthal Marcus spoke out in March 2013 about the harassment the pro-Israel group received from the Obama IRS:
They told us terrorism happens in Israel. Therefore, they had to look into our organization because they thought we might be funding terrorism. We’re a purely educational entity. We didn’t fund anybody. We barely funded ourselves.”
Remember: This is the same administration that wouldn’t call the Benghazi massacre a terrorist attack but accused a pro-Israel group of supporting terror.

The Habbersham County officials, in particular Sheriff Joey Terrell,  have been all over the map with their justifications that led to a 19-month-old toddler clinging to life as a result of a severely flawed 3am “No Knock” SWAT raid.

If you have followed this story from the beginning you’ll notice the familiar pattern of false stories which initially surface by police now being entirely contradicted.   Check out this ABC report with about a half dozen inconsistencies noted from initial justification.

Lake Calhoun, MN- For months Benswann.com has reported on the uphill battle Libertarian candidates face when trying to obtain ballot access, including Ohio Gubernatorial candidate Charlie Earl being kicked off the ballot three times in this election cycle or Florida Gubernatorial candidate Adrian Wyllie being arrested for driving without a license only a week after he was invited to take part in the states one gubernatorial debate.

But it is Minnesota Gubernatorial candidate Chris Holbrook who may go down as facing the most outlandish attack on his attempt to get onto the ballot.
Holbrook was arrested Thursday afternoon at Lake Calhoun while gathering signatures to gain ballot access.

I-95 Memorial Confederate Battle Flag #2 Raised in Fredericksburg

The Virginia Flaggers are pleased to announce the raising of the 2nd I-95 Memorial Battle Flag in the Commonwealth. A 20’ x 30’ Army of Tennessee version of the Confederate Battle Flag was raised this morning on an 82’ pole in Stafford County, just north of Fredericksburg, in a small, private ceremony that included a Confederate Color Guard, Rifle Salute, Invocations, and historical presentations

The flag will fly in honor of all Confederate soldiers, and specifically to remember the nearly 246,000 Confederate soldiers who fought in separate battles in the vicinity of Fredericksburg (1862), Chancellorsville (1863), Spotsylvania (1864) and the Wilderness (1864).

Mexico to legalize vigilantes fighting drug cartel

Via watchful

Dated.

Mexico's government plans on Saturday to begin demobilizing a vigilante movement of assault rifle-wielding ranchers and farmers that formed in the western state of Michoacan and succeeded in largely expelling the Knights Templar cartel when state and local authorities couldn't.

The ceremony in the town of Tepalcatepec, where the movement began in February 2013, will involve the registration of thousands of guns by the federal government and an agreement that the so-called "self-defense" groups will either join a new official rural police force or return to their normal lives and acts as voluntary reserves when called on.

The government will go town by town to organize and recruit the new rural forces.

"This is a process of giving legal standing to the self-defense forces," said vigilante leader Estanislao Beltran.

But tension remained on Friday in the coastal part of the state outside the port of Lazaro Cardenas, where other "self-defense" groups plan to continue as they are, defending their territory without registering their arms. Vigilantes against the demobilization have set up roadblocks in the coastal town of Caleta.

Thousands of activist gun owners, angered over Connecticut’s Orwellian “Gun Violence Prevention and Child Safety Act,” gathered at the State Capitol in Hartford on a cooler-than-predicted Saturday in early April.

They were fed up with opportunistic politicians exploiting the Newtown tragedy at the expense of freedom, and they were furious and defiant that many owners of semiautomatic rifles and standard-capacity rifle and handgun magazines, who had defied a registration deadline, were now considered criminals.

To my surprise, I had been invited to give the keynote address. I’m not from that state and my dealings with Connecticut Citizens Defense League, the group organizing the rally, had been mostly internet-based. Perhaps one reason for the invitation was a “GUNS Magazine” column I’d written a few months earlier defending Constitution State gun owners, some of whom lined up late to register their magazines and rifles before the mandated deadline.

When I stood to speak in Hartford, what I saw was a crowd fired up and united in opposing and working to roll back the gun ban. Judging from the vocal responses, the assembled Connecticut gun owners were supportive of calls to work within the system to elect the right candidates and defeat the wrong ones, in both parties, and to appeal to the courts, as CCDL and NRA are doing in Shew v Malloy.

Also, the rally gave me a chance to learn some new things firsthand, and to reinforce some assumptions I brought to the event. Here are five areas that stand out:

Alecia Phonesavanh covers her face on Thursday, May 30, 2014 in Atlanta as she talks about an incident in which Phonesavanh's 19-month-old son was critically injured when a police device was tossed into his bed Wednesday morning in Habersham County by a SWAT team in search of a drug suspect. Phonesavanh said there is no way officers should not have known they were children in the house. Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell said the officers were looking for a suspect who may have been armed and followed proper procedure by using the device.  After Georgia’s Mountain Judicial Circuit Narcotics Criminal Investigation and Suppression Team burned a toddler with a flashbang grenade during a drug raid on Wednesday, Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell told Access North Georgia:
“The person I blame in this whole thing is the person selling the drugs,” Terrell said. “Wanis Thonetheva, that’s the person I blame in all this. They are no better than a domestic terrorist, because they don’t care about families – they didn’t care about the family, the children living in that household – to be selling dope out of it, to be selling methamphetamine out of it. All they care about is making money.

Sonic, Chili’s heed Moms call, tell customers to leave guns at home

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is stringing together victories on the open-carry front, convincing restaurants and fast-food establishments to tell customers to leave their firearms at home.

The latest to do so include Chili’s Grill & Bar and Sonic, both of which announced on Friday that they would prefer if gun owners not bring firearms into store locations.

A Sonic spokesperson said, “…we’re asking that customers refrain from bringing guns onto our patios or into our indoor dining areas.”

Likewise, a Brinker International/Chili’s Grill & Bar spokesperson echoed the sentiment.

Bloomberg Sycophants Spring an Ambush in the U.S. House

GUN CONTROL VOTE IN HOUSE:  Disciples of anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg staged an ambush in the House of Representatives on Thursday.

And 76 Republicans fell right into the trap.

The vote was on a Mike Thompson (D-CA) and Peter King (R-NY) amendment to the Commerce-Justice-Science funding bill.  Both Representatives hold an “F” rating with Gun Owners of America.

Their amendment would add an additional $19.5 million to pay states to turn in more names to the federal gun-ban (NICS) list.

Already, more than 175,000 law-abiding veterans have lost their Second Amendment rights this way.  And, in states like New York, this money will pay to strip Americans of their constitutional rights, merely because they consult a psychiatrist and are prescribed a therapeutic drug.

The amendment was sprung so that GOA had only a few hours to send a letter to the Hill, and no time to send out a new alert to its members -- although we told you earlier this week that Bloomberg and Obama minions were renewing efforts to exploit the recent California tragedy and pass gun control.  NRA took no public position at all on the legislation.
Despite the short turn-around time, GOA did manage to get a Facebook alert out to its members.

----------------------------------------------------------------
If you haven’t “liked” GOA’s Facebook page, please go here right now and do so. Don’t wait any longer, as you are missing very informative articles and critical alerts!
  ----------------------------------------------------------------
In the end, the Thompson-King amendment passed by a vote of 260-145.  That’s the bad news.

The good news is that the battle has just begun.  The bill now goes to the Senate, and will ultimately be shelved in favor of a massive government-wide funding bill -- called a “continuing resolution” or CR.

Hence, there is still a possibility that we can get the Thompson-King amendment removed from the final CR.

That being said, the loss hurts.

Bloomberg can now spend weeks bragging that he has “crushed” the gun lobby, and this will give impetus to allow him to raise more money.

But when it comes to gun rights issues, the 76 Republicans who went wobbly will be defined almost exclusively by their vote for this anti-gun amendment.

The GOP could take a lesson from Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 “ground game” playbook.  As odious as Obama is to those who love the Constitution, he reached out to each of the major constituencies of the Democratic Party and gave them a reason to vote for him.  As a result, he won.

The 76 Republicans are hardly going to get Bloomberg's endorsement for betraying their supporters.  And they have angered the Second Amendment community in a way that may take a long time for them to repair.

ACTIONWrite your Representative.  Thank him if he voted right and opposed the Thompson-King amendment.  If he voted wrong, let him know what you think about that.

Obama Administration Plans To Let Some Young Undocumented Immigrants Join The Military

Pentagon officials have approved a policy that would allow a limited group of undocumented young people who came to the U.S. as children to enlist in the military, opening up a path for them to eventually become citizens, The Huffington Post has learned. The move, which has not been formally announced by the Obama administration, would affect some of the roughly 550,000 undocumented young people granted the ability to remain in the country under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, many of whom have pled with the government to allow them to enlist.

"Not White, Not Black, Both Colored"

http://photos1.blogger.com/img/200/3608/640/BRK5.jpg

Re-post NamSouth 2007

I remember in my mother's latter years, she was helped by a lovely lady that may have reminded her of her own mammy, Aunt Emily Johnson, who was her wet nurse beginning in 1907.

Once my mother and this sweet lady were discussing the rampant debates concerning race terminology such as African-American, black, Caucasian, colored, white ad infinitum.

My mother stated she thought this was all just silliness when her friend and companion held her arm next to my mothers and stated: "Miss Ellen D, you're not white and I'm not black, we're both colored."

My sister Anne to the rescue.

"Are you speaking of Annie Mae Johnson ? She always called mother, Miss Ellen D. Annie Mae died last year. She was truly a lady."

1968 Shelby GT500KR Fastback 428 CI, 4-Speed

 S125 1968 Shelby GT500KR Fastback 428 CI, 4-Speed Photo 1

About two thirds of the way through the 1968 model year, Shelby introduced the GT500KR, which of course stood for King of the Road. The cars were equipped with the new 428 Cobra Jet, which utilized the 428 Police Interceptor block from the GT500, but with new Cobra Jet heads featuring larger valves and combustion chambers, plus a nodular crank, stronger connecting rods, dished pistons, high rise aluminum intake manifold, Holley 735cfm double pump carburetor, larger diameter high-flow exhaust system, and functional Ram Air induction routed directly from unique dual functional scoops on a revised fiberglass hood and front fascia.

The KR also received special engine compartment chassis bracing, uprated rear brakes and heavy duty wheel cylinders in addition to adjustable Koni shocks (with staggered rear layout arrangement on 4-speed equipped cars) for the suspension, which was already upgraded for 1968 with variable rate springs, and larger front sway bar.

And the KR was, indeed, an extremely competent package, out-handling all but purest sports cars, delivering want everyone knew to be well in excess of 400hp (even though it was comically rated at 335hp/440lb-ft for insurance purposes), and with an aggressive presence and brash red Cobra Jet badges that led the road test editors at Car Life magazine to observe, "The car is so impressive, so intimidating to challengers, that there are no challengers. The KR breeds confidence bordering on arrogance."

Jacques Mequet Littlefied did not live an exceptionally long life, dying of cancer in 2009 at age 59. But the independently wealthy San Francisco Bay Area collector did live a wonderfully eclectic life, amassing over some four decades one of the world’s biggest collections of rolling armor. Yup, tanks. And a few other related things, including SCUD missiles, amphibious personnel carriers and anti-tank guns.

It is safe to say that not outside of an actual war is one likely to find anything quite like The Littlefield Collection, 280 largely restored relics from a range of armed conflicts. While 80 of Littlefield’s prized items are destined for The Collings Foundation in Stow, Mass., a museum dedicated to the preservation of such fare, 200 lots go under Auctions America’s hammer July 11-12 at Littlefield’s former home-cum-museum in Portola Valley, Calif., just south of San Francisco.
After all, moving an M1 tank anywhere was out of the question.

Nothing beats full auto rock and roll. If the fans get rowdy you can fire a few warning shots to show that you mean business. You won't need to hire any security, because no one will ever rush the stage. 7.62 mm NATO rounds typically have that effect on people. The venue owner will always pay up, and no one will ever tell you to keep it down. Any guitar that lets you hold up a liquor store after you get finished with your gig has to be a keeper. The only problem is the groupies seem to be fewer and farther between. But they'll have their hands in the air, that's for sure.

“Never teach your children to admit that their fathers’ were wrong in their efforts to maintain the sovereignty, freedom and independence which was their birthright”—-Jefferson Davis.

June 3, 2014, is the 206th birthday of Jefferson Davis who was born in Christian County, Kentucky, on June 3, 1808.

Memorials to Jefferson Davis include Georgia’s Stone Mountain memorial carving of Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, the Davis Monument on Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia, the Jefferson Davis Monument State Historic Site a Kentucky State Park commemorating the birthplace of Jefferson Davis President of the Confederate States of America, and….

In 1931, a bronze statue of Jefferson Davis, sculptured by Virginia’s Augustus Lukeman, was given to the National Statuary Hall in Washington, D.C. by the State of Virginia.

Davis served the United States as a soldier, statesmen and Secretary of War under President Franklin Pierce. He was also the first and only President of the Confederate States of America.

Marine sergeant jailed in Mexico on gun charges speaks exclusively 'On The Record'

The U.S. Marine who mistakenly crossed into Mexico with guns registered in the U.S. told Fox News Channel's Greta Van Susteren that authorities south of the border showed no interest in hearing his story before they locked him up two months ago.

In an exclusive interview from a federal prison in Tecate, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, told the "On the Record" host he tried to explain that he had taken a wrong turn and was unable to avoid crossing at the San Ysidro checkpoint on the night of March 31.
"[A Mexican border guard] got on the walkie-talkie and was communicating what was going on," Tahmooressi said. "I think what he said was, 'Hey we've got a guy down here with three guns.'"
That message brought a Mexican Marine to the scene.

Frequently initial eyewitness accounts of violent crime scenes prove especially helpful for independent researchers to piece together what actually may have transpired. For example, in the aftermath of the major political assassinations of the late 1960s, the Oklahoma City Murrah Federal Building bombing, or more recent mass shootings, subsequent official accounts of potential culprits can vary significantly from those of first-hand witnesses.

This may also be the case concerning the tragic May 23 shooting in Isla Vista, California. In this event numerous witnesses claim two men were inside the black BMW and proceeded to carry out a number of “drive by” shootings. Note, however, that this is not what has been imbued in to the popular memory over the past few days. The two pairs of local press reports below suggest differing accounts before and after the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s 2:30AM press conference on May 24, where Sheriff Bill Brown confirmed a sole suspect, Elliot Rodger, and pointed to his YouTube video rant as sufficient evidence to indict him in the court of public opinion.

On May 27 MHB contacted the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office to request an incident report. The SBS asserts that the agency only provides such reports to those directly impacted by the crime, and that in this case even direct involvement may not be sufficient cause for release of the report.-JFT

White Kids Died. We Oughta Pass A Law

 http://cdn.bearingarms.com/uploads/2013/10/policetapelogo_s640x400-315x175.jpg

White people—especially young whites from upper middle class or wealthy families in urban or suburban settings—are worth more than brown people, yellow people, and red people of any age, anywhere.

We know this because of how the mainstream media responds to different reports of violence.
Tamara Keel is dead-on accurate:
So there’s a “mass* shooting” that would have been a page three wet firecracker in Compton, but do it to some cracker kids from the ‘burbs serving their four years at the Special Snowflake Warehouse & Indoc Center and the nation just loses its collective $#!+.
Apparently busting caps in three people’s asses is a lot bigger deal if you do it out the window of an ’08 Bimmer instead of a ’94 Caprice.

Maya Angelou’s Students: “Worst Professor EVER! Insults Students, Conceited Creep!”; Gave Her Horrible Ratings

Via Susan

I’ve already told you what a racist, bigoted, anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-Israel Marxist the late Maya Angelou was. But, predictably, she sucked as a professor, too. The pretentious Angelou, who never went to college (and may not have even graduated from high school), “taught” (if you can call it that) English at Wake Forest University.

Boy interrupted: Where Elliot Rodger's life took a turn

Not ones to let a good crisis go to waste, progressives of a certain stripe looked at Santa Barbara’s Friday night massacre the way preschoolers might a pony under their Christmas tree.

Three immediate narratives emerged from Twitterdom even before the bodies were counted and sorted.

The first and most expected was given voice by Richard Martinez, the father of one of the victims, Chris Martinez.

“Why did Chris die?” asked Martinez at a Saturday press conference. “Chris died because of craven, irresponsible politicians and the NRA. They talk about gun rights, what about Chris’ right to live? When will this insanity stop?”

It is hard to fault a grieving father his outrage, even if misdirected. It is easy to fault those many pundits who exploited Martinez’s grief and gleefully spread his message across cyberspace.

Had they paused just a half a day, they would have learned that the killer, Elliot Rodger, had stabbed as many people to death as he had shot to death. For good measure, he ran over a few more in his BMW.

Does the “insanity” extend to knives and cars? Should AAA have shared the blame with the NRA? Is it possible that the politicians in question are not “craven” but conscious of their fellow citizens’ constitutional rights?

Texas VA Run Like a ‘Crime Syndicate,’ Whistleblower Says

Via Horace

For years, employees at a Texas VA complained that their bosses were cooking the books. For years, the VA insisted there was no widespread wrongdoing.
Editor's Note: This story has been updated with new information.

Last week, President Obama pledged to address allegations of corruption and dangerous inefficiencies in the veterans’ health-care system. But before the president could deliver on his pledge, the scandal has spread even further. New whistleblower testimony and internal documents implicate an award-winning VA hospital in Texas in widespread wrongdoing—and what appears to be systemic fraud.

The Military Is Building Brain Chips to Treat PTSD

Via Jeffery

A Marine sits through an eye blink study with sensors attached to his face while taking psychological tests at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif., Sept. 29, 2009.

How well can you predict your next mood swing? How well can anyone? It’s an existential dilemma for many of us but for the military, the ability to treat anxiety, depression, memory loss and the symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder has become one of the most important battles of the post-war period.

Now the Pentagon is developing a new, innovative brain chip to treat PTSD in soldiers and veterans that could bring sweeping new changes to the way depression and anxiety is treated for millions of Americans.

"If Lindsey Graham is a conservative, why are liberal PACs spending millions of dollars to re-elect him?"

http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1011433/thumbs/r-LINDSEY-GRAHAM-IMMIGRATION-large570.jpg?6

If Lindsey Graham is re-elected, it will be one of the greatest political scams in American history. It may also be one of the greatest tragedies for the American people.

It will result in a heavy burden for American workers and their families with more lower-paid foreign workers displacing them in the workplace and driving down their wages. Taxpayers will pick up a large part of the tab to benefit employers using lower-cost foreign labor.

                                    Mark Zuckerberg's Self-Serving Immigration Crusade

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's self-serving crusade for cheaper and younger foreign workers includes heavy support for Lindsey Graham, a key co-sponsor of Senate bill S.744, giving amnesty to over 12 million illegal immigrants and allowing 30 to 35 million more legal immigrant workers into the country in the next decade.

But the people of South Carolina are barraged day after day with TV and radio ads, many of them by Obama backing liberal Zuckerberg's phony conservative PACs, telling the people that Lindsey Graham is a conservative leader.  But Lindsey's Graham's amnesty and foreign worker surge bill is going to break the economic backs of ordinary working people, and taxpayers will pay for the breaking.

Family: Vet killed in weekend standoff sought medical care

 http://kctv.images.worldnow.com/images/25624962_BG1.jpg

It was a painful Memorial Day weekend for the Sims family.

Their son, an Iraq War veteran, was killed during a police standoff. The family said he turned to the Kansas City VA Medical Center for help, only to get turned away.

Sgt. Isaac Shawn Sims, 26, was the pride and joy of his family. He was a third generation Army veteran who served with the 82 Airborne. His family says the Army was his life, but that life came at a price.

"An eardrum had been blown out and he has 80 percent disability from brain injuries," said Patricia Sims, Isaac's mother.

The physical wounds he received in Iraq only tell part of the story, according to his parents. Isaac Sims suffered from severe depression, migraines and post-traumatic stress disorder, all from seeing his friends and comrades die in combat.

"He had to pick up body parts, he had to move forward as if nothing happened," Patricia Sims said.

His mother said her son recently drove around Kansas City in this hummer believing he was back on the battlefield. His mother rode shotgun.

"And saying ‘this is how we look for IEDs mama. This is what we do. Round and round.' Then he'd show me on YouTube the videos of an IED exploding," Patricia Sims said.

Frustrated and frightened, his parents pleaded to the VA for help.

Two Men Threaten Young Lady over the Phone, Show Up With Guns, Armed Dad Steps In

Screen Shot 2014-05-27 at 4.55.18 PM

An armed father is not someone I’d ever want to be on the wrong side of. That’s exactly what two men in their twenties faced last night though.

According to media reports, the two men had called a woman at a Salt Lake City residence and made threats. When the woman stopped answering the phone, the men decided to show up at her home – armed with guns.

The pair kicked in a door to the home, which alerted the girl’s father. The father grabbed his handgun and went to confront the intruders.

When he recognized the men, they fled.

Veterans’ bodies left to rot in L.A. morgue

Via LH

USVA

On top of veterans being put on an interminable waiting list at V.A. hospitals in violation of hospital policy, so interminable that some actually died before they could get an appointment to see a primary care physician, now comes news that bodies of deceased veterans were left to rot in a morgue for as long as a year and a half.

Section 578 of Public Law 106-65 of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2000 requires that every eligible Veteran receive a military funeral honors ceremony, to include folding and presenting the United States burial flag and the playing of Taps. The law defines a military funeral honors detail as consisting of two or more uniformed military persons, with at least one being a member of the Veteran’s parent service of the armed forces. The Department of Defense (DOD) is responsible for providing military funeral honors. (Source: U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs)

Not only is the Obama administration’s DOD not providing military funeral honors to veterans in Los Angeles, some of them don’t even get a burial.
