Donald Trump may have recently been snubbed this week by the publisher of the largest newspaper in New Hampshire, but the Republican presidential front-runner is still managing to amass endorsements from a host of both likely and unlikely supporters. Case in point: As proof of the latter, John Wayne’s daughter recently expressed her allegiance to Trump, who she said “has finally given the people of America a voice.”

1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T 426/425 HP

The new Dodge Challenger came on the street scene in 1970 with a long list of special options. The beautiful introductory-year example being offered here is a true two-owner Hemi Challenger R/T showing less than 34,000 miles since new. Painted in EF8 Dark Green Metallic with a V9X Black Transverse stripe at the back, this standout vehicle presents an excellent investment opportunity to its next caretaker.

Of all the R/T options available in 1970, one of the most desirable is the Shaker hood, as this was discontinued, and most 1970 Hemi Challengers received the standard non-functional blister-type scalloped hood. This car, documented with three broadcast sheets and featuring original sheet metal, is one of the handful from 1970 with a Shaker hood. Now recognized as just one-of-one built to the specifications on its documentation, it was bought new in 1970 by a soldier stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

On Monday, the Associated Press reported that “Sweet Cakes by Melissa” owners Melissa and Aaron Klein paid their state-ordered damages to a lesbian couple with check totaling $136,927.07 — but that isn’t the whole story.

According to Fox News writer Todd Starnes, who spoke with Melissa Klein a few weeks before Christmas, Oregon’s Bureau of Labor and Industries confiscated all of the money in her checking and savings accounts, including one that had money set aside for her church tithe. They totaled nearly $7,000.

State Department spokesperson John Kirby is raising eyebrows after he released a recap of 2015 “success stories” in which he credits the United States for bringing “peace” and “security” to Syria and “stepping up” to help the country’s people at a difficult time.
“The United States and many members of the international community have stepped up to aid the Syrian people during their time of need,” wrote Kirby in his laudatory year-in-review released late last week. He went on to claim that “the United States has led the world in humanitarian aid contributions since the crisis began in 2011.”

“Led by Secretary Kerry, the United States also continues to push for a political transition in Syria, and under his stewardship, in December, the [United Nations] Security Council passed a U.S.-sponsored resolution that puts forward a roadmap that will facilitate a transition within Syria to a credible, inclusive, nonsectarian government that is responsive to the needs of the Syrian people,” the report continued.

A Russian bomber SU-34 attacked a building near the Syrian city of Raqqa where a rebel leaders’ meeting was being held as the Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Igor Konashenkov said. He pointed out that the headquarters were destroyed in result of the attack. According to his words, the intelligence on the meeting’s place was provided by representatives of patriotic Syrian opposition forces.

“We maintained a round-the-clock air-reconnaissance for two days in that area. After the rebel leaders’ arrival at the place had been confirmed, a Su-34 performed an airstrike at the building. In the result of a direct hit with a guided air-bomb the building and everything inside were destroyed” said the Defense Ministry’s spokesman.

It's not a parody, believe it or not. :)

Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz has claimed that the Islamic State (Daesh) militants are Israeli soldiers and the Saudi-led 34-nation military alliance of Islamic countries will defeat it.

The statement came after Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, the secretive leader of the terror group, called for an uprising in Saudi Arabia and pledged to attack Israel, in an audio recording released Saturday and attributed to him, AFP reported.

WACO II: "At least four of the victims appear to have been shot by police—and the criminal charges some bikers face are highly dubious."

The criminal-justice system in Waco, Texas, continues to boggle the mind. Last month, a grand jury in McClellan County held a marathon session to consider whether District Attorney Abel Reyna had presented enough evidence to justify indictments in the shootout at a May gathering of bikers where nine people were killed. In the wake of those killings, 177 bikers were arrested. Many proclaimed their innocence, and local authorities faced criticism for jailing so many individuals using fill-in-the-blank paperwork that didn’t differentiate among the jailed.

A Tale of Two Plantations

 ArlingtonHouse-LARGE

In the 1850s, Ann Pamela Cunningham, a frail woman from South Carolina, was responsible for preserving the plantation home of George Washington, founding the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, an organization which still maintains this historic site. Thanks to her efforts, Mount Vernon remained virtually untouched during the War for Southern Independence. Arlington Plantation, the beautiful Virginia home of Robert E. Lee, however, was not so fortunate.
