Raleigh Protest April 28, 2020

Via John

We are now truly living in a police state run, like most in AmeriKKKa, run by a dictatorial DemoKKKrat governor.
This was a peaceful protest on public property (the sidewalk) owned by the people who were arrested by the governor's goons.
This shocking video was still viewable as 11pm on Tuesday, 4/28.....

The Most Tragic Case of Governmental, Medical, and Media Malpractice In the History of the World

Just over two months ago, I spoke with an infectious disease doctor who not only believed that millions of Americans had already been exposed to COVID-19, but that the lockdowns were counterproductive and we needed to let herd Immunity take hold in our nation.

Two months ago.

With each passing day, we are told that multiple more Americans were in-fact exposed to the virus than the “experts” suspected.  Or more to the point…guessed.

I will keep asking this question until the groupthink-thought-police come to arrest me:  “When has it ever been sound medical or governmental practice to sacrifice – and destroy – the economic, mental, and physical well-being of the 99 percent to MAYBE protect and save the one percent...or less?

When?”

Artificial Depression Built Around Coronavirus Will Kill Thousands

Jacki Pick The Jacki Daily Show
Pick urged, “Open the doors. Let us out. Open the economy now, because now it’s a completely different ball game from February or March.”

An artificial depression created around the coronavirus outbreak by American leadership will kill thousands of Americans, explained Jacki Pick, host of the Jacki Daily Show on BlazeMedia, warning of the consequences of varying economic shutdowns across the nation ostensibly aimed at addressing the viral spread. She offered her analysis on Tuesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

Will Truth Crushed to the Ground Rise Again?

Jefferson Davis, American by William J. Cooper: 9780375725425 ...
 Excellent Book.

The study of the causes and conduct of the “Civil War” and the Reconstruction era that followed from 1865 to 1877 is still governed by the partisan myths of the Union victors and modern political correctness. But *“Truth crushed to the earth” (William Cullen Bryant) is still the truth and “shall rise again.”

In his second inauguration speech, President Lincoln had presented a generous vision for bringing the South back into the Union fold. His often quoted words, “with malice toward none; with charity for all…to bind up the nation’s wounds,” were to set a new attitude and theme in the restoration of the South to the Union. Lincoln had instructed Grant in accepting Lee’s surrender at Appomattox to “let him up easy.”   Union General J. L. Chamberlain ordered his battle seasoned troops at Appomattox to give a salute of honor to Confederate troops as they passed in final review at that surrender.  Robert E. Lee had advised his men to go home and be good American citizens.

*Truth crushed to the earth is truth still and like a seed will rise again.

Lieutenant Grant’s Lesson at Palo Alto

The Battle of Palo Alto in early May 1846 demonstrated to a young Lieutenant Ulysses Grant the effectiveness of mobile light artillery used to great effect against an opponent of near equal strength. During the 1861-1865 war and with virtual unlimited troops, artillery and supplies, Grant was mostly ineffective against an opponent of greatly inferior numbers who most often employed captured artillery and supplies against him. Robert E. Lee can certainly be faulted for not sufficiently fearing the king of battle’s massed effect at Malvern Hill and Gettysburg.

No Comparison Between Grant and Lee

Over a century and a half has passed since Confederate States General Robert E. Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia to General Ulysses S. Grant. Yet, despite surrender by one and victory by the other, controversy continues regarding which man better represents the virtues of honor, duty, and American patriotism. For those who believe that might makes right, then the answer is clear—trial by combat has pronounced General Grant as America’s icon of patriotism, valor and honor. But from the South there lingers the refrain penned by Father Ryan, the Poet Priest of the Confederacy, “The triumphs of might are transient—they pass and are forgotten—the sufferings of right are graven deepest on the chronicle of nations.” There exists an antagonistic gulf between the estimations of two different peoples as they take measure of the men who championed their nation’s cause. In reality Lee and Grant cannot be compared but only contrasted.

COVID-19 turning out to be huge hoax perpetrated by media

When the postmortem is done on the media’s coverage of COVID-19 (and it will be), it will be clear that the virus was no Black Plague — it’s not even the flu on a bad year.

SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19, has killed 56,749 Americans as of Tuesday.

That’s not good. But it’s not as bad as the 2017-2018 flu season, when 80,000 -plus perished. And it’s a long cry from what all the experts were warning about just a few weeks ago: First, they predicted 1.7 million Americans dead; then they redid the models (this time apparently entering a few more “facts”) and said 100,000-240,000 dead.

Judge Says Northam’s Gun-Range Shutdown Violates State Law

Via Billy

Ruling could set off domino effect on ranges in state

A Virginia judge ruled on Monday that Democratic governor Ralph Northam's shutdown of indoor gun ranges violates state gun-rights protections.

Judge F. Patrick Yeatts of the 24th Judicial Circuit of Virginia ruled in favor of a Lynchburg firing range that challenged Northam's statewide shutdown order. He said the governor's emergency powers are limited under Virginia law and cannot restrict the "otherwise lawful possession, carrying, transportation, sale, or transfer of firearms."

"The governor appears to argue that, when he declares a state of emergency, he can ignore any law that limits his power, even laws designed to limit his power during a state of emergency," Yeatts wrote. "The Court cannot agree with such an expansive interpretation of the Governor's authority."

NYC Coronavirus ‘Front Line’ Doctor Calls For END To Lockdown & Hong Kong’s 8 Million Continue Their Economic Shutdown Into the 4th Month – After 4 Coronavirus Deaths in 4 Months

Via Billy

A sign is posted on the door of the Emergency Department at St. Barnabas Hospital on March 23, 2020 in the Bronx borough of New York City.

A Bronx doctor who has treated the novel coronavirus for weeks and has even contracted the virus himself called for an end to nationwide lockdown measures in  op-ed published by The New York Post on Monday.

Daniel G. Murphy, MD, the chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, argued that the brunt of the virus has already passed in his area, once a COVID hotspot, and that is likely not due to lockdown measures. Instead, he argued, the virus has naturally run its course.

John Hood: Cooper plan reopens too slowly

Via Cousin John

NC Gov. Roy Cooper outlines 3 phases the state is implementing to ...

At an April 23 press conference, Gov. Roy Cooper gave a reasonable explanation of what led him to institute North Carolina’s statewide stay-at-home order nearly a month earlier. His secretary of health and human services, Dr. Mandy Cohen, gave a reasonable explanation of the metrics the administration is tracking — and why a decline in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is not necessary to begin a phased reopening of North Carolina’s battered economy.
Unfortunately, the phase-in plan Cooper announced at the press conference isn’t reasonable. It is too slow, rigid, and draconian.
To put it bluntly, the plan is wholly inadequate to the moment we face — a moment of crisis for hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians and a moment of painful sacrifice for millions more.
