Prosecutors were ordered Tuesday to draft warrants permitting U.S. Marshals to seize two civilian defense attorneys who left the USS Cole terrorism case and have refused to comply with a subpoena from the judge who is presiding over the case.

The judge, Air Force Col. Vance Spath, said he was prepared to sign the “writs of attachment” on Wednesday and advised the lawyer for civilian attorneys Rosa Eliades and Mary Spears to move quickly in order to prevent warrants from being issued.

Eliades and Spears quit the case in the fall due to an ethical issue concerning intrusion of attorney-client confidentiality and were released by Marine Brig. Gen. John Baker, the chief defense counsel.

1948. Berlin Germany

art-remus-ident-04.jpg A Berlin flak tower is blown up. Berlin had three. Only the "Zoo" tower was completely destroyed, on the third try, using 35 tons of dynamite and months of prepping. That was the Brits. American combat engineers would have kept dumping dynamite into it until it couldn't hold any more, then bang, zoom, to the moon. Anyway, the rubble was crushed and used to pave roads. This doesn't appear to be the Zoo tower. Anyone have a flakt├╝rmeologist on retainer

Slow drip, Anonymous Conservative - My guess is Trump is gaming to destroy the entire Deep State, and to do that he will ultimately let loose with the big reveal that blows everyone’s minds. I just don’t see his personality, or how far things have gone, pointing to a peaceful resolution. I am also not sure at this point he could ever just leave office and return to the business world, without the forces that are out there now hunting him and his family until their dying days. Until the big reveal, we will have the drip, drip, drip of a slow burn that will make everyone take their sides in preparation for what is coming.

Kansas City Star - Man shielding family from gunman complied with cops, witnesses say, but was still shot ... dropped his handgun, raised his hands, an officer with a rifle shot him in the hip, then he was handcuffed

History Net - The M14 Rifle ... served as the standard infantry rifle for only seven years

The swamp, American Thinker - Why are so many of the people who have risen to the top of our government institutions, those who become the leaders or directors of our alphabet agencies, so imperious, so devious, so malevolent, so lacking in character and so disdainful of the American people? How is it that people of good character no longer want to work for the government or run for elective office? The answer: because it is not just a swamp, it is a toxic, venomous morass of self-serving lowlifes. Consider the people we have come to know a bit about ...

Abnormalized, Front Page - Abnormalization depends on a very specific form of bias which assumes that since President Trump is abnormal, everything he does is also abnormal. It’s the social media disease of a progressive media echo chamber which is ignorant of history, but carefully cogent of ideology. Its members, drawn from the exotic diversity of a handful of Ivy League schools and suburban bedroom communities, are vague on any subjects outside their cultural purview. And they’ve been politically trained in those schools to reframe anything and everything as racist, sexist or homophobic at the crack of an ideological whip.

Trump Proposal To End Food Stamps Sends Dollar Stores Tumbling

 https://aintaboutthatlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Liquor_EBT.jpg

Shortly after 1pm ET, the shares of Dollar General and Dollar Tree tumbled after it was unveiled that President Donald Trump's budget was proposing to effectively abandon food stamps, slashing the program's traditional cash payments and substituting them with packages of "100% American grown food" for recipients.  According to Bloomberg, this would represent "one of the biggest shakeups of the US food stamp program in its five decade history."

The reason why deep discount dollar chains were sold off on the news is because they are particularly vulnerable to changes in the food stamp program as they largely cater to less affluent shoppers:

according to Gordon Haskett Research Advisors, Dollar General and Dollar Tree have signaled that food stamps account for roughly 5 percent of sales. Shares of Dollar Tree fell as much as 3.7% to $103.68, while Dollar General was down 5% to $93.48, the declines wiping out gains by the two companies in 2018.

The Douglas Skyraider

Mark your calendars for 19-20 May!

To many history buffs the Douglas Skyraider is synonymous with the Vietnam War. When South Vietnam fell in April 1975, a mass exodus ensued with pilots looking for any available aircraft to escape the approaching Communists. While many are familiar with the footage of overcrowded carrier decks and helicopters being pushed over the side, less familiar is the story of Thailand being choked with fleeing aircraft.

During the "Warbirds Over Addison" weekend of 19-20 May 2018, the Cavanaugh Flight Museum is pleased to have retired USAF pilot Roger Youngblood as Saturday's guest speaker; Youngblood was one of two pilots tasked to hide escaping South Vietnamese Skyraiders in Thailand. Cavanaugh's AD-6 (A-1H) Skyraider, tail number 139606, was one of four to have been hidden away. Youngblood actually evacuated aircraft '606; his flight is considered the last ever of a Skyraider on official orders. Please join us as he shares his recollection of this chaotic moment in history.

CFM is also excited to announce that '606 will be returning from a fresh repaint to her authentic USAF colors. This project celebrates the 50th anniversary of her arrival in Vietnam with the 6th Special Operations Squadron in Spring 1968 - come out to see her in her new clothes!

Plans include a number of flight displays, food, and, of course, a display of the amazing collection of aircraft, vehicles, and artwork the Museum is known for.

Weather and maintenance permitting, rides will also be available for purchase in a variety of aircraft such as AD-5 (A-1E) Skyraider (5 open seats), P-51 Mustang, FG-1D Corsair, T-6, Stearman, B-25H Mitchell, OH-13D Sioux, and O-2 Skymaster.

For contact/location, details on this event, or info on the ride program, visit the Museum website: cavflight.org

Note: The attached snapshot was taken by Roger from the cockpit of '606 during this historic flight. Aircraft 135332, seen here and now stored with the Smithsonian, was piloted by Jack Drummond.

Trump Channels Rand Paul During Military Meetings

President Trump sounds a lot like Rand Paul – or even his father Ron Paul – during military meetings by asking generals why they won’t bring the troops home.

This is according to a story in the Washington Post which tried to smear the president as “impulsive” – yet reading deeper into the article reveals that Trump leans libertarian when it comes to foreign policy – more so than previously known.

For one thing, the president wonders why the US is in Somalia of all places:

Farage Warns of Brexit Crisis if ‘Theresa the Appeaser’ Bows to Establishment and Soros

 Farage

Britain will be plunged into its most acute constitutional crisis since the Second World War if Theresa May allows Brexit to be thwarted or watered down, former UKIP leader Nigel Farage has said.

Mr. Farage – the Member of the European Parliament (MEP) who did more than anyone else to bring about the Brexit referendum – said the establishment was working to keep the UK tied to the bloc.

He specifically named the Hungarian-American banking billionaire and pro-open borders activists George Soros, who is funding efforts to overthrow the government and block the democratic will of the British people, calling for an “investigation” into his influence.

Mr. Farage also slammed “Theresa the appeaser” for caving to almost all of the bloc’s demands during Brexit negotiations and claimed the EU was humiliating the UK during the process.

Response to Attorney General's Speech on Lincoln's Birthday

"I say we cannot know your suffering, but this we do know; We love and honour you, veterans, and are justly proud of the heritage you have given us. Just so long as warm blood flows in the veins of man, so long will the words 'Confederate Veteran' cause that blood to tingle with glorious pride, and, if there be one among us, born in our glorious Southland who is not so thrilled, every drop of stagnant blood proclaims him bastard to the South-a coward to all the world."

Confederate Memorial Day-05, 10, 1911 (My Grandfather & Mother)

2/13/18
To:  Attorney General Jeff Sessions
Dear Mr. Attorney General,

This is in response to your speech on Lincoln’s birthday.  Really, Mr. Sessions?  Really?  Do you actually believe the lies you told?  That the War was “all about slavery”, as the Marxists have been proclaiming for 150 years?  You have proven yourself a traitor to the Southern people, their history, and their culture, and to be a “useful idiot” in support of those who are perpetrating cultural genocide on all things Southern and Confederate.  With your words you have slapped every dead Confederate right in the face, as well as the tens of thousands of Southern civilians murdered by Lincoln’s beasts of war. If the War was “all about slavery”, as you and millions of historically ignorant people proclaim, why did Lincoln not free the more than 420,000 slaves who were still in the union AFTER the Southern states seceded (1860 census)? So, the North was waging a war to “free the slaves”, but that excluded theirs?  Only those bad, mean old Southerners had to free their slaves.  The “righteous” and “moral” Northerners were allowed to keep theirs. Right?  What about the Corwin Amendment, which Lincoln supported, which would have FOREVER protected slavery in the Constitution if the seceded states would only return to the union and ratify it?  Why did the South refuse this offer?  I mean, if it was “all about slavery”, you would think the South would have jumped all over this. They refused the offer because the War was NOT about slavery, but the continued collection of excessive and unconstitutional tariffs from the South for the benefit of the North, (the South was paying about 85% of the federal revenues but only had 1/3 of the population), subjugation of the South, looting the natural resources of the South, and to establish a strong centralized government, just like the one our Founders did NOT want, but the very one that is still choking us this very day.

There is ample proof that the War was not about slavery.  Even Lincoln himself said it was not about slavery.  The Crittenden-Johnson Resolution states that the War was not about slavery. Only about 3% of Confederate soldiers owned slaves. Tell me, Mr. Attorney General, what were the other 97% fighting for?  So a few rich people could keep their slaves?  Logic, common sense, and historical proof reveal that the War of Northern Aggression was not fought to free slaves.

It was waged to stamp out the individualism and defiant spirit, the independent spirit, of a segment of the population who were trying to hold on to the Constitution and the principles established by our Founding Fathers. Slavery was a dying institution.  No other country on the planet fought a war to end slavery, but you would have us believe, as other Marxists would, that we had to have this war for that very purpose.  Had Lincoln not invaded the South, there would have been no war.  He refused to meet with numerous peace delegations who wanted to avoid war.  Lincoln wanted war. His devils in blue burned homes and crops, killed and stole animals, murdered numerous civilians, and raped white and black women all over the South. His great Emancipation Proclamation freed not one solitary slave.  Read it if you have never done so.  The proof lies therein.  It was a war measure, as stated by Lincoln himself, with the intent of causing a slave uprising, which did not happen, and to wave the false banner of waging a moral campaign to “free the slaves” so that Europe would see this and not render aid to the South, which it was considering.

Mr. Attorney General, your words have fueled the fires of hatred and cultural genocide against our history, culture, and heritage.  You have hurt the purpose of the SCV (Sons of Confederate Veterans) and other groups who exist only to preserve the true accounts of our history and pass these truths on to our posterity. Your words carry much more weight than mine, or any other average “Joe Citizen”, not just because of your prominent position, but where you are from.  I am truly ashamed that you are an Alabamian.  The traitorous and cowardly blood which flows through your veins is not worthy to be called Southern.  You have dishonored the many dead who wore the gray; black, white, Jew, Mexican, Indian, and others who fought for the right of self government. Your words are the same lies which have been told since Reconstruction in order to brainwash the youth into believing their ancestors were evil traitors. What you have done is inexcusable and is pure blasphemy against our ancestors and the truth.

You have proven yourself to be a spineless person who will “go along to get along”, which is the trait of typical politicians. I had to respond to your blasphemy because I cannot sit idly by while my heritage, history, and ancestors are being disparaged.

Unreconstructed,
