Alan Dershowitz: Are we ready for a wave of violence after the election?

Alan Dershowitz: Are we ready for a wave of violence after the election?

We must prepare now for the possibility of violence following the election this fall. If it turns out to be a close or contested election, extremists from both sides may likely use it as an excuse to riot and attack. This will not be a repeat of the 2000 election, when the disputes were ultimately resolved by the Supreme Court in a controversial decision along partisan lines. The loser accepted it and told his followers to do the same.

But in this election, the candidates are not George Bush and Al Gore, and the country is not what it was 20 years ago. This is a very different and far more dangerous time. We are a much more divided nation. Violence is in the air in many of our cities and has received a degree of legitimacy from people on both sides who should know better. We are not prepared for a possibility of dangerous reactions to an election that may seem unfair to people on one side or the other based on the outcome.

Hank Williams Was Their Prophet and Tradition Was Their King

Whilst a good part of the South was succumbing to the ‘New South’ ideology, and Southern-born, self-made industrialists were counting dollars in Atlanta, folks in my neighborhood were still skidding logs with mules in remote locations. The mountains, which had oft proven to be a curse in many ways, were a blessing in stopping (or at least stemming, for awhile) the tide of the poison known to all of us as ‘progress.’

The story I’m about to tell is one of the many coming from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Hardscrabble existence was a way of life with our pioneers, and it was no different in my own bloodline. The Holts, James Simpson, and sons settled on a land grant in Newton County, Arkansas in the 1850s. They were some of the earliest ones to settle the wild wilderness known now as Newton County, and their descendants would go on to perpetuate the ‘wild’ part for generations.

The stories are passed to me, faded, like the faint tunes of an old Hank Williams song, which rang from the clock-like radio of a 1956 Ford Fairlane. In the dim light of that radio, the heroes of my childhood came of age, fighting and drinking their way through their own lives. Much like that Hank Williams tune, the melody seemed to hang on the air, reverberating down into my childhood, with the same sad sound that touched my ancestors. Lost loves and lost people. Some would be found, some would not, but all had one thing they had in common that nobody could take: a home.

Elizabeth Dole Foundation Anthem

Caregivers will now be included in Veterans' health care teams, VA Secretary Wilkie announced on October 19 as part of the Inclusive Care Program.

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation also offers no-cost, short-term aid from at-home care professionals to help with bathing, cooking, exercising, transportation, and companionship, among other tasks. Caregivers in every state can now apply for no-cost professional caregiver support made possible through the cooperation and donations of CareLinx, Wounded Warrior Project, AARP, and VA.

Iran and Russia Have Obtained Voter Info, Iran Has Tried to ‘Damage President Trump’

Via Billy

During a press conference on Wednesday, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe stated that Iran and Russia have obtained voter registration information that can be used “to attempt to communicate false information to registered voters that they hope will cause confusion, sow chaos, and undermine your confidence in American democracy.” He also stated that Iran has sent “spoofed emails designed to intimidate voters, incite social unrest, and damage President Trump.” And has pushed content that makes untrue claims about people casting fraudulent ballots. Ratcliffe also said that while they have not seen the same actions being taken by Russia, they have obtained voter information like they did in 2016.

Comment on Fourth Generation War Comes to a Theater Near You

Fourth Generation War Comes to a Theater Near You

Francis W. PorrettoOctober 21, 2020 at 8:03 AM

Fourth Generation Warfare is essentially terroristic guerrilla warfare: a diffuse threat that has no nation or capital, which can strike at any place or time. Such a threat lays bare the weakness of a social order in which the defense of the nation from such things is left to the centralized powers of the State and its armed forces. Diffuse threats demand diffuse countermeasures: a public in arms. But were the ruling class to admit this, it would be tantamount to admitting that the State has arrogated responsibilities it cannot meet. At which point we ask, “Cui bono?” – which shines a spotlight on the real orientation of the State and the priorities of its masters.

Meet your (Chinese) Facebook censors

 Facebook logo

China is one of the most censorious societies on Earth. So what better place for Facebook to recruit social media censors?

There are at least half a dozen “Chinese nationals who are working on censorship,” a former Facebook insider told me last week. “So at some point, they [Facebook bosses] thought, ‘Hey, we’re going to get them H-1B visas so they can do this work.’ ”

"Saw a squad of live secesh today at Camp Curtin. As a general thing they are healthy, strong, tough looking. Their physical appearance is excellent. They have a dogged and sullen look, and what is more they are determined men. Their torn and tattered garments are no disgrace to them. As I stood looking at them, noting their scowling eyes, and their utter indifference to the insults that I am sorry to say were cast upon them. I wished our Union Soldiers were as heroic as they are."

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) addressed a get-out-the-vote event in Asheville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, though when the cameras panned out, there appeared to be very few supporters present.

Half a dozen supporters were visible on video coverage; the total attendance appeared somewhat greater, but not much greater.

The New York Times Is Anti-White and Anti-American

The vast majority of the New York Times’s subscribers are white people.  These are people who apparently are so emotionally and mentally weak and so full of guilt and self-loathing that they support a rabid anti-American propaganda organization that brands its readers “racists” and delegitimises the founding principles of the United States.

The US Defense Secretary, Espy, distracts us with the “Russian and Chinese enemies,” while the worst enemy that the United States has ever had—The New York Times—carries on its deadly attack of deconstructing America.  The New York Times’ position is that America is a racist nation by design and thus illegitimate. Neither Putin nor Xi Jinping—or both together—could do our country such great harm as does The New York Times.

“We should not underestimate what is at stake here. The 1619 Project wants to delegitimise the US’s founding principles, and the universalist Enlightenment tradition from which they emerged. We shouldn’t confine our opposition to such a destructive objective to the media. It must be opposed in our schools, our universities and our wider communities, too.” — Sean Collins

Equalities Minister: Teaching race theory as fact is illegal

Importantly, the Trump Administration’s Sept. 22 executive order against critical race theory training at federal contractors instructed the Attorney General to assess whether these indoctrination struggle sessions contribute to a “hostile work environment,” which, of course, they do. Crushing white dissenters is the point of diversity training.

Why Is Wokeness Winning?” asks veteran pundit Andrew Sullivan, recently fired by New York magazine for distressing its more fragile younger staffers by thinking for himself.

Sullivan sums up the idiotic but undeniable reasons for the real-world success of Critical Race Theory:

It gives you the simplest template for understanding the world, it assigns you virtue if you assent, it gives you instant power over others purely because of your and their identity, and it requires nothing more than tribal instinct to thrive. That’s why it is here to stay.

I would add some additional considerations to Sullivan’s list.

This Is How the Left's Power Structure Collapses

Weeks ago, Rush Limbaugh mentioned that the issues defining the election had not come forward yet.  He was correct.  Not entirely, because all the issues coming out right now have existed.  In plain sight.

They just weren't distilled yet.

It's now here, served up on a silver platter.  No, not Hunter Biden.  This Hunter Biden laptop story simply leads us to the issue.  The word.  One word that rules them all, and in the darkness binds them.

There it is.  That's the issue.  To begin, you have the corrupt family Biden.  They've been scamming us and our system well for almost fifty years.  The man is supposedly worth over 250 million dollars.  How is this possible on his salary?  It's not.  So where did his wealth come from?  Not from being a brilliant businessman.

A warning letter from the niece of Osama bin Laden: A Biden/Harris administration would bring America to her knees

noor bin ladin

Via Wes "Don't have a knee-jerk reaction because of her family name. The Bin Ladin family is large and most of them, from my research, are pro-Western.This is  VERY  well reasoned and she knows more about the historical, political and cultural landscape of the USA than most Americans"

Dear America,

Two-hundred-and-forty-four years ago, the resolve, courage, and wisdom of your Founding Fathers forever changed the course of history. For the first time, with the ratification of your Declaration of Independence, mankind was offered an unmatched societal ideal. Human beings were recognized for what we truly are by nature: all created free and equal, endowed with unalienable rights derive from our Creator. With your Constitution, your Founders sealed these God given rights, and protected them by instituting a limited form of self-government along with a robust justice system.
