"Vladimir Putin is the stuff of Western progressive nightmares........

Via The Daily Timewaster

........because he’s what they thought they’d gotten past. He’s a traditional male with “outmoded” views on, well, everything: gender relations, race, sexual identity, faith, the use of violence, the whole retrograde package. Putin at some level is the Old White Guy that post-moderns fear and loathe, except this one happens to control the largest country on earth plus several thousand nuclear weapons – and he hates us." [Can't imagine why.;)]

“Lay Down Your Arms and All Will Be As Before”

“Lay Down Your Arms and All Will Be As Before”

“Imagine America invaded by a foreign power, one that has quadruple the population and industrial base. Imagine that this enemy has free access to the world’s goods as well as an inexhaustible supply of cannon fodder from the proletariat of other countries, while America itself is tightly blockaded from the outside world.

New York and Cincinnati have been taken. For months, Boston and Chicago have been under constant siege, the civilian population driven from their homes.  Enemy forces roam over large parts of the country burning the homes, tools and food of the non-combatants in a campaign of deliberate terrorism.

Nearly 85 percent of the nation’s able-bodied males (up to 50 years of age) have been called to arms.  Battlefield casualties have run to 39 percent and deaths amount to nearly half of that, far exceeding those of any other war.

On the other hand, the enemy, through its acts and domestic propaganda indicate otherwise, is telling the American population that it wants only peace and the restoration of the status quo antebellum.  Lay down your arms and all will be as before.

What would be the state of our morale in such conditions? Americans have never suffered such misfortune, have they?  Alas, they have. This was the experience of the Southern people from 1861-1865 in their lost War for Independence.”

Connecticut: Muslim Arrested in Drone-like flying bomb plot targeting school and Federal building

A Muslim was arrested yesterday for a bomb plot using a drone-like plane to crash into a Connecticut school (Yale, perhaps?) and a Federal building. For reasons that only the Obama administration can understand, El Mehdi Semlali Fahti does not face federal terrorism charges at this time. If bombing a school and a government building isn’t terror, then what is?

Fahti was still in this country seven years after his student visa expired, and he flunked out of Virginia International University. He lied about being a “refugee.”

“the more he thinks about the case, he laughs because he cannot believe the judge believed him” in allowing him to seek refuge in the U.S. for political reasons.

New Pelosi Photo Ad Enrages Liberals: “It Is a Disgusting New Low”

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Democrats are furious over a new Breitbart News ad depicting Congressional Representative Nancy Pelosi as a prostitute willing to do anything to further her political agenda.

The ad superimposes Pelosi’s face onto the body of Miley Cyrus. The ad, which was denounced by the Democratic National Committee, also takes a shot at California Governor Jerry Brown.

April 8, 1865 & 1913

On 8 April 1865 Confederate General Richard Taylor, son of President Taylor, routed the Yankees in the Battle of Mansfield, Louisiana and ended their Red River Campaign. Taylor was not only an effective & competent general, he also wrote the most engaging & charming memoir of the war, Destruction & Reconstruction. Having grown up in Washington, he knew everybody on both sides.

On 8 April 1913 the 17th Amendment to the US Constitution requiring direct popular election of senators was ratified, thus destroying what was left of the Constitution by destroying states' representation as states in the Congress. What shreds of the Constitution Lincoln's revolution left, the Progressive era pulverized, then the New Deal blew away the dust.

Tom was in the Navy  and flew a Sky Raider during Vietnam and in the video he tells of a day when he  shot down MIG with his prop plane. He was 73 yrs old and son of mom's brother my  Uncle Billy.   He was a great guy to talk with, but I never heard him tell this  story. I didn't find this until after he died."

Hey gay rights militants: your fascism is showing

Via Dan

Dear gay rights militants, dear progressive tyrants, dear liberal fascists, dear haters of free speech, dear crusaders for ideological conformity, dear left wing bullies:

You will lose.

I know you’ve got legions of sycophants kowtowing to you these days, and the rest you’ve set out to destroy — but you will lose.

So, you’ve tracked another dissident and skinned him alive. You’ve made an example of Brendan Eich, and now you dance joyously around his disemboweled carcass. You have his head on a spike, and you consider this a conquest in your eternal crusade to eradicate diversity and punish differing opinions. You launched your millionth campaign of intimidation, and now another good man has been dragged through the mud, to the sounds of taunting and jeering and death threats.

NC: Mourning for New Bern police officer marred by controversy

Via WiscoDave

He needs to go. To think that my 6th great grandfather came over in 1709 with Baron Graffenreid and founded New Bern the next year.

Tuscaroras And (My Family)

One-thousand “brothers in blue” came to pay their respects this afternoon to Officer Alexander Thalmann, 22, killed in the line of duty in New Bern, N.C., last week.

Thalmann’s partner, Officer Justin Wester, 23, is recovering from a gunshot wound to his leg from the shootout that left convicted felon, Bryan Stallings, 35, dead.

The incident happened March 28, in the housing projects known as Craven Terrace.

The town’s grief was made even more painful by the local administration’s handling of events following the young officer's death.

For unknown reasons, newly elected, Mayor Dana Outlaw chose to attend Thursday’s funeral of the career criminal.

Adding insult to injury, last night’s planned memorial for local citizens to say “goodbye” to Alexander Thalmann was cancelled by the mayor’s office.

Russia Says U.S. Mercenaries in Eastern Ukraine

Via u_96

Russian media reports today the American security firm Greystone has teamed up with Right Sector fascists in a bid to prevent eastern Ukraine from joining the Russian Federation.

Greystone is a former Xe (aka Blackwater) affiliate with offices in Virginia and the United Arab Emirates. Employing “personnel from the best militaries throughout the world,” the company offers “large scale stability operations requiring large numbers of people to assist in securing a region.”

“We are particularly concerned that the operation involves some 150 American mercenaries from a private company Greystone Ltd., dressed in the uniform of the [Ukrainian] special task police unit Sokol,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “We urge [Kyiv] to immediately stop all military preparations which could lead to a civil war.”

More money down the well. Idiot

Attorney General Eric Holder said on Friday that gun tracking bracelets are something the Justice Department (DOJ) wants to “explore” as part of its gun control efforts.

When discussing gun violence prevention programs within the DOJ, Holder told a House
appropriations subcommittee that his agency is looking into technological innovations.

The Urinals at Joe Theisman's A Column, Barely, Slightly Hung-over, Unslept, and Cranky

John Duncan, R-Tenn: He is a Southern gentleman, a species regarded with derision in the North but, my God, after ten minutes in New Jersey I want to be in Tennessee.

Back in Mexico after a frantic week in the Yankee capital, these days a cross between asylum for the chronically paranoid, besieged city, and kindergarten run by a totalitarian Mommy. Cops everywhere, metal detectors everywhere else, concrete stop’em-bombs on sidewalks, pop-up metal barriers on streets on Capitol Hill. Bin Laden won, big time.

Crazy people hear voices, right?  In Washington everybody hears them. At the airport of course the gurgley over-enunciated “security” announcements by some dimwit elocution major who sounds like she wants to lick the microphone. On the subway we are urged by other recorded Mommies to watch each other and report suspicious behavior. What behavior isn’t suspicious late at night on an urban train system? “Yeah, officer, they’re like, swarthy and got beards and funny clothes and talk some weird language….”

Voices, instructions, warnings. We are the Admonished People. Free? No. Brave? No. Watched, warned, told, herded, yes. Urban robots. Just what Georgey Wash and Tommy Jefferson had in mind, I think.

Yes, this is a stream of bare-consciousness column. Sorry. My childhood makes me do it.

"Range War begins tomorrow.”

Supporters of Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy violated a “First Amendment Area” by staging a rally in support of Bundy, who earlier declared a “range war” against federal authorities in response to a land dispute that threatens to escalate into a Waco-style standoff.

MICHIGANISTAN: 3 thugs attack Army war veteran…are they Muslims?

Wagner told police that he was in the convenience store just before 2 a.m. when three men were giving the female clerk a hard time. After telling the men to leave the clerk alone, Wagner told police the men began harassing him inside the store.

Once outside in the parking lot, Wagner told police the men noticed military insignias on his vehicle and began making insulting remarks about him, as well as the military. The trio then attacked the man, punching and kicking him before leaving on foot, police said.

Ruby Ridge-style standoff brewing as Bundy says he is prepared to be killed

Via Resister In The Rockies

cliven bundy

Vowing to take a stand for, “your liberty and freedom,” Bundy says he is prepared to be killed as authorities surround a 600,000 acre section of public land as a result of Bundy violating a 1993 Bureau of Land Management ruling which changed grazing rights in order to protect the endangered desert tortoise.

“With all these rangers and all this force that is out here, they are only after one man right now. They are after Cliven Bundy. Whether they want to incarcerate me or whether they want to shoot me in the back, they are after me. But that is not all that is at stake here. Your liberty and freedom is at stake,” Bundy said.

Bundy’s refusal to recognize federal authority over the land under dispute and his failure to pay tens of thousands of dollars in grazing fees stems from his assertion that his family’s history trumps bureaucracy.

“My forefathers have been up and down the Virgin Valley ever since 1877. All these rights I claim have been created through pre-emptive rights and beneficial use of the forage and water. I have been here longer. My rights are before the BLM even existed,” Bundy said.

Accusing feds of seizing Nevada’s sovereignty, Bundy says he has fought the battle legally, through the media, and is now gearing up to fight it physically.

“Armed agents are forming a a military-like staging area to prevent anyone from approaching the area,” writes Mike Paczesny.

Bundy asserts that his case is emblematic of how America has been transformed into a “police state,” labeling the government’s actions “pathetic”.

Hundreds of federal officials, aided by helicopters, low flying aircraft and hired cowboys, began rounding up Bundy’s cattle on Saturday as Bundy accused them of “trespassing,” adding that the impact will only serve to raise beef prices for residents of Las Vegas 80 miles away.

Feds postponed a similar raid in 2012 over fears the action would spur violence. Bundy has drawn a lot of support from the local community and protesters are heading to the area to demand authorities back off. Officials have created a taped off “First Amendment Area” where demonstrators can voice their concerns. A sign placed inside the area reads “Welcome to Amerika – Wake Up” alongside a hammer and sickle logo.
