Bring your signs, flags and a good attitude! This will be a rally to let South Carolina and others know we are proud of our Southern Heritage and History!

The flags at this cemetery have been removed and some replaced with U.S. flags. This is just not right! These men earned the right to be honoured in the correct manner. They are American Veterans and served for their country.

Come take part in this event while we still have rights to do so.

This cemetery is a non-publicly owned burial ground supported by the donations of descendants of those buried here. The Confederate monument contains a tribute to "Our Confederate Dead" by Judge I.D. Witherspoon. The cemetery began in 1829, was built on the site of the Independent Presbyterian Church and is the resting place of many prominent South Carolina statesmen. Two prominent York residents buried in the cemetery are Asbury Coward, co-founder of the Kings Mountain Military Academy and Dr. J. Rufus Bratton, head surgeon of the Confederate Hospitals in Georgia. At least eight Union soldiers of the 7th Cavalry and 18th infantry, quartered in York as the Army of Occupation during Reconstruction, are buried in the southeast corner of the cemetery.

Under *an excellent article by Catholic World Report, a post by “Zorg” was penned on the WBTS.:

Very good article, except I have to quibble over the word “cause.” “To insist that the only cause of the war was slavery—and it was a cause of the war—obscures a number of things.” I understand that you mean it was an historical factor, but a *cause* of the *war* it was not. Yes, we habitually speak this way, but it’s not helpful. It’s too much of a propaganda term as it implies inevitability and some sort of quasi-physical “historical process” or whatever. Human beings are exceedingly prone to rationalize war rather easily, so the words used are very important.

War-making is not a matter of physics, but of choice. Human beings with free will directly cause war as it is organized violence. It was Lincoln who decided to make war on the states after they seceded, and because they seceded. His stated goal for making war was to preserve the Union (even at the expense of the slaves if necessary). If Lincoln did not make war against them for seceding, then there would have been no war.

DIY camping tent submission

Comment/submission by Anonymous on Prepping 101: Large Portable Family Shelters

Long term DIY camping tent thought - those above ground swimming pools you see for sale for $200 plus, 14' diameter for example. Wouldn't these make a decent cover for a round yurt-like tent ? Shallow - yes, but also far more concealed then a full height tent.

Several metal 'cattle panels', tied end to end to form a 'hoop'. Metal 'T' posts along the edges to hold the shape. Drape pool upside over this, forming a shallow tent. A higher center pole to push rain to outside edges. Camoflauge or built underneath dense tree canopy, not a bad option.

These pools develop leaks in time, and often are thrown out because they won't hold water. In the case of a tent, not so bad, you are holding water out of it, rather than containing. This means you may be able to scrounge one for very little money.

The cattle panels can be easily left out in field for pre-positioning - grass grows right through it and they would be hard to detect unless you know they are there.

Just a thought.

What’s Behind the Confederate Battle Flag Purging?

Via Billy

In this week's Analysis Behind the News video, JBS CEO Art Thompson discusses how the Confederate battle flag issue should be understood in the context of how a conspiracy brought about the Civil War, duping both Northerners and Southerners in the process; how the recent Confederate battle flag banning furor serves as an example of the systematic purging of our history by this same conspiracy; how the eradication of the Confederate battle flag follows in the footsteps of how the Ten Commandments are being eradicated; how it is time that more Americans must get involved in doing something about saving what’s left of our country, about saving our freedom of speech, our freedom of religion, and the rest of the Bill of Rights; and how you need to do something about it, not just talk about it.

Planned Parenthood Official Taped Discussing Sale of Aborted Baby Body Parts

Haiti Struggles With Death And Destruction After Catastrophic Earthquake

An undercover video shot last summer by a new pro-life organization called Center for Medical Progress purports to show the chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood of America talking on camera about how to abort a child intact so the child’s body parts can be transferred for medical and scientific research.

The video was shot by a team led by David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress posing as representatives of a start up biotech firm in the business of buying fetal body parts for medical and scientific research. Daleiden told Breitbart News, “It as remarkably easy to make contact with Planned Parenthood” to discuss procurement of fetal tissue.

238,000 US veterans died waiting for health care – leaked document

Via LH

Reuters / Carlos Barria

A leaked document shows nearly one-third of the 847,000 veterans in the Department of Veteran Affairs’ backlog died while waiting for treatment, amounting to more than 238,000 patients, according to documents obtained by the Huffington Post.

The VA maintains that the number is so large because it has no mechanism to purge the list of dead applicants, and that some of the veterans may have died years ago. VA spokeswoman Walinda West told the Huffington Post that some people on the list may never have completed an application, or could be using other insurance.

Afterthoughts on the Lowering of the Confederate Battle Flag in Columbia

Via Conservative Heritage Times

Yesterday afternoon I heard a black civic leader in Columbia, South Carolina being interviewed about the just completed removal of the Confederate Battle Flag from the statehouse grounds. The lady from FOX who did the interview wanted to know about the satisfaction experienced by the black leader in light of the events that had just unfolded.

Her interviewee expressed his elation and mentioned the “unbelievable joy” that overwhelmed the black crowd that gathered to see the hated flag come down. “We all hugged each other,” he explained. “We would no longer have to look at it.” This negative reaction to the flag was also expressed by black legislators during the deliberations in the South Carolina senate. The listener was made to believe that American blacks were enduring a continuing nightmare that had created severe emotional problems. It seems this neurasthenia would go on until the hated cloth was dragged down, not only in South Carolina but everywhere else it was displayed. Presumably black crime and social dysfunctionality would also plummet, as all traumatizing symbols of the Confederacy were antiseptically purged.

Today it is revealed Ted Visner is building a commercial property, in specific “A shelter for battered women”.  This means Ted aimed to get his business through the unconstitutional treasonous family courts that are as much a part of the communism as any other aspect.

This is no different than the corporate miners in Galice, Oregon.  These people think they can use our militias as a strong arming tactic to gain an advantage in the communist system that they are willing participants in.  They think that all they have to do is put on a hat with a Gadsden emblem on it and our people will back their play.

Tear Down That Monument! A “Progressive” Case for Demolishing the Lincoln Memorial

The totalitarian socialists among us who try to disguise their true beliefs by calling themselves “progressives” are currently in the middle of one of their periodic fits of hyper-PC hysteria.  Upon learning that the mentally deranged, drugged-up little monster who murdered all those people in a Charleston church had his picture taken with a Confederate flag, the “progressives” commenced a new crusade to obliterate not only the Confederate flag from American memory, but also the memory of anyone in history whose views on race are not identical to theirs.

They have even called for the demolition of the Jefferson Memorial; and the July 4 Daily Caller included an article about a Portland, Oregon teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School in that city who has started a campaign to rename the school.  The Daily Caller refers to Wilson as “a model progressive Democrat,” which he was, but he was also a racist and a white supremacist.

$NAACP$ Calls for Removal of Confederate Generals from Stone Mountain & Battle Flag from Alabama Trooper's Patch

Via Billy

The attack on the South is orchestrated and contrived. There is no way that businesses like Amazon, to elected officials to open Marxists and racists such as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (They aren't for the advancement of anyone but Blacks) could be doing what they are doing all by themselves. Following the limp-wristed removal of the Confederate battle flag from the South Carolina capitol grounds by Governor Nikki Haley (R), that removal of the Dukes of Hazzard and the move by Memphis to dig up the bones of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest and his wife, the NAACP is now calling for Stone Mountain to be liberated of the image of Confederate Generals on it.

WSBTV reports:

More with video @ Freedom Outpost

Just this week. the NAACP in Huntsville, Alabama, called for the removal of Confederate flag symbolism from the uniforms worn by state troopers, and displayed on trooper vehicles.

It’s not as if troopers were wearing a patch of the flag, or something so obvious.

Rather, an image of the rebel flag is embedded in the Coat of Arms of the State of Alabama, and it’s that symbol that’s worn by troopers and portrayed on their vehicles.

“The time is right and I just think it needs to be,” said NAACP Huntsville spokesman Rev. Robert Shanklin, to local WAFF. “We need to do a clean sweep. The state and local government, anywhere that that’s located.”

Alabama Highway Patrol officials have said the determination on whether the symbol stays or goes rests in the hands of Gov. Robert Bentley.

The executive committee of the Boy Scouts of America has unanimously approved a resolution that would end the organization's blanket ban on gay adult leaders and let individual Scout units set their own policy on the long-divisive issue. New Study shows Liberals have a lower average IQ than Conservatives

A new study conducted at Harvard University shows that in America, Liberals have a significantly lower IQ than Conservatives. The study was conducted on 100,000 registered voters in 40 different states over the last twelve years, and has concluded its results.

The first part of the study lists the correlation between political beliefs and intelligence. Subjects of the study were chosen at random and requested to come to an unmarked van to take a test and answer some questions for a reasonable amount of money.

Is the Civil War (sic) Over?

In the wake of the recent murders in a South Carolina church, the killer's hope of igniting a race war produced the opposite effect. Blacks and whites in South Carolina came together to condemn his act and the race hate behind it.

Some saw in the decision to remove the Confederate flag from in front of the state house a symbolic repudiation of the old South's racial past -- and the end of the Civil War. But, unfortunately, wars do not end until both sides decide that it is over.

The black parishioners who expressed forgiveness toward the killer did more than most of us could do, and the whites who responded with solidarity did their part. Note how quickly this was done, by ordinary people of good will -- black and white -- without the "help" of racial activists like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.

Professional race hustlers have no incentive to see our current civil war end. They see in this shooting only an opportunity to escalate their demands.

Obama’s Words Being Used To Deface Confederate Monuments In The South

Via Billy

Racial division largely created by the Obama White House continues to fester throughout the nation. Over the weekend the latest example was the vandalizing of a Confederate soldier memorial near Fort Sumter in South Carolina – a location historians often point to as the beginning of the Civil War.

The above is a quote by President Barack Obama during the eulogy he gave to slain South Carolina pastor and state senator, Clementa Pinckney. The words were among the president’s most divisive of that eulogy, ones that were largely ignored by a media that focused instead on the president’s singing.

Even those with a cursory understanding of the causes of the Civil War know slavery was but one of many issues involved and was likely a secondary one at that. It should also be noted too that Clementa Pinckney himself gave a far more appropriate and historically honest speech on the sacrifices of all soldiers who fought in the Civil War, both North and South just weeks before his tragic death.

Pinckney did not call out one side as wrong, or demean an entire region in order to further his own political standing – that kind of thing is the realm of politicians like Barack Obama.

Changing the name of Pretoria to Tshwane.

Via Les

Executive Mayor Cllr Kgosientso Ramokgopa,

I am aware of the fact that you have been embroiled in lengthy legal battles with various organisations that want to prevent you from changing the name of Pretoria to Tshwane. I find this extremely disturbing and I do not agree with these organisations at all.

As a proud descendant of the Boer Nation that founded this once beautiful, first world city, I have to insist that you change the name to Tshwane as soon as possible.

I personally think it is an insult to the legacy of my proud forefathers that this hell hole of a third world slum should bare the name of the Pretorius family. I am of the opinion that it would be much more fitting for the remnants of what was once Pretoria, to be named after the ancestors of the people responsible for its collapse.

The Boer people have no interest in being associated with the filthy, crime ridden streets and the parks and squares that now reek of urine and decay.

I sincerely hope that you will look kindly on my request to no longer insult the name and legacy of the proud people who built this city but do the right thing and name it after the ancestors of those who destroyed it.

Kind Regards

Police Patch With Confederate Flag Criticized

Via comment by John in SD on "It is time to Boycott Amazon. Asinine Company wit...

With a city nickname 'Where the Battle Wasn't,' Gettysburg, South Dakota is the center of a social media battle over a Confederate flag on a patch worn by police.

A memorial outside the Potter County courthouse recognizes both Union and Confederate soldiers from the Civil War. Some say a flag from the confederate side shouldn't be on the county seat's police patch.

"I'm sorry they feel that way. It is in no way, shape or form meant to be offensive," police chief William Wainman said.

NORMALLY, at this time, I send an email announcing the posting of another Southern Devotion Blog entry, an email advertisement for a Confederate Soldier Statue, or one of our DVD Collections from our Online Store. Not so, this time! I want to address something far more serious.

UNFORTUNATELY, I must announce the removal of ALL of our products from Amazon.com! Below my signature block is an E-mail from Amazon Services, I received on Friday, July 10th, at 9:11 PM. In the E-mail, Amazon Services mentions they are removing the Confederate Diaries Collection because they consider it "confederate flag merchandise." Amazon Services also refers me to their "Restricted Products" Policy and gives me 48 hours to comply with the remainder of my Amazon listings or loose my selling privileges.

I can't begin to express how disgusted I am regarding the removal of the products and the wide-spread removal of our beloved Confederate flag from flag poles and retailers through out the nation. Why don't they go after porn, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, smokes, Nazi flags, and terrorist promotional materials. Each of these does far more damage to our society. Makes you wonder what's next .. Confederate Statues, Monuments, Grave-sites, the Christian flag, Christian symbols, the removal of ALL Confederate historical documents, like the ones sold on DixieJunction.com, from the Internet, public schools. and Universities.

OUR ACTION .. At the moment, Amazon.com only removed our Confederate Diaries Collection, but there is no way we can comply with the rest of our items, they are based on actual historical documents. So, in protest, we have removed ALL of our items from Amazon.com. My opinion, eBay will be next. Even though it will no doubt hurt our "bottom line," from now on, ALL of our products will ONLY be available on DixieJunction.com.

MESSAGE to ALL .. I want to encourage ALL who read this email to patronize Southern businesses, like ours, before buying elsewhere. Your consideration and loyalty will help us, and others, endure the loss of sales.

MESSAGE for SOUTHERN BUSINESS OWNERS .. I have created a Southern Business Directory on DixieJunction.com. It is FREE to list your business. Click the above link to learn more!
