Common Core would make any communist regime proud

Let's just jump right in here to the crux of the Common Core "State" Standards with an excerpt from the paper, "History of Education in Communist Countries," by Hae Yoon Jeong, 2009, Korean Minjok Leadership Academy:

The communist revolutions in the 20th century had their goal at creating total revolutions and establishing a new society different from the capitalist society. This new society required people with new loyalties, new motivations, and new concepts of individual and group life. Education was acknowledged to have a strategic role in achieving this revolution and development. Specifically, education was used to produce ardent revolutionaries ready to rebel against the old society and establish a new order and also to bring up a new generation of dexterous laborers to take up the various tasks of development and modernization.

Ron Paul: Is It Time To End The Shutdown?

Via REBORN

Yesterday the Mises Institute published a brilliant article titled “End the Shutdown” [which I have included below], making the point that continuing the “house arrest” of Americans and the shutdown of the economy will have much worse consequences than the coronavirus itself.

With the infection to fatality ratio at about the rate of the seasonal flu (as per a new Lancet study), is the continued destruction of American economic and social life worth it?

Underground Railroad to the South

The following escapees from the North’s Fort Delaware, one of them being a Philadelphian who returned to that city, found willing “conductors” to aid their break for freedom and make good a return to their lines.

Underground Railroad to the South

“The Richmond Dispatch, August 28, 1863:

Yesterday afternoon five Confederate prisoners . . . arrived here from Fort Delaware, having escaped therefrom on the night of the 12th inst.  The narrative of their escape is interesting.

Ryan Zinke: Navy Capt. Crozier’s ‘Actions Were Wrong,’ Biden ‘Grasping’ to Stay Relevant by Defending

US Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, seen here during March 13, 2018 testimony before the Senate, will be leaving the administration soon, President Donald Trump has announced
Modly said the captain did not raise the issue with his superior, who lived down the hall on the ship, or try to alert Modly personally before sending the memo over unsecured and unclassified lines, which ensured its leak. Zinke said it is “black and white” that Crozier violated the chain of command.
Former Interior Secretary and retired Navy SEAL Commander Ryan Zinke dismissed Joe Biden’s criticism of the administration for firing Navy Capt. Brett Crozier, the commander of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt.

“I think Biden is just trying to be relevant on any issue at this point. So I think he should not have taken his staff’s direction on this,” Zinke told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview Friday.
Zinke said of Crozier:
His actions were wrong. … Looked like he was well-liked, fine. I hope he was. I hope he was. But you know, it’s a swing and a miss for Biden and the other political pundits that try to find wrongdoing in every corner and the wrongdoing in this case was the loss of confidence in the commanding officer that broke the chain of command. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.

China should be sued for $6.5 trillion for coronavirus damages says top UK think tank

Via Tuan Hoang

Seems to me that a case could be made for premeditated murder.
The report said had China provided accurate information at an early juncture, "the infection would not have left China."
China should be sued under international law for trillions of dollars for its initial cover-up of the coronavirus pandemic which has caused more than 60,000 deaths and trillions of dollars in economic damage, a new report says.

The report said damages should be for at least the £3.2 ($6.5 trillion) being spent by G7 nations propping up their domestic economies as governments forced their citizens to stay at home so they could try and contain the disease's spread.

A former U.S. ambassador to Japan has criticized the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for its coverup of the CCP virus in the early stages of the deadly outbreak, calling the regime’s mishandling of the virus “the crime of the century.”

Bill Hagerty, who is now a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in Tennessee, told “The Jeff Poor Show” on Friday that he believes the Chinese regime’s efforts to suppress information and conceal the virus before it became a pandemic makes it “the greatest cover-up in human history.”

“I’ve worked with China and seen how they operate for years. And I can tell you, what they’re trying to do right now with this Wuhan virus is the crime of the century in my view,” Hagerty told the radio host, Jeff Poor.

“When they tried to act like it didn’t from come there—they even said the United States, our military somehow put it there. It’s just unbelievable,” he added.

Brit Hume Clip of Dr. Fauci in January Is a 'Must Watch' for Every American Accusing Trump of Failing to Act Early

Fox News‘ Brit Hume has posted a clip of Dr. Fauci speaking to News Max reporter Greg Kelly on January 21. Kelly addresses Fauci, “Bottom line. We don’t have to worry about this one, right?”

Fauci replies, “Well, obviously you need to take it seriously. And do the kinds of things that the CDC and the Department of Homeland Security are doing, but this is not a major threat for the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about.”

That’s what Trump was hearing from Dr. Fauci, an expert, a man who has served as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984.

Donald Trump to Press: Hold Off Your Fake News Until After Coronavirus Pandemic

President Donald Trump on Saturday criticized the establishment media at the White House for spreading fear with false reports.

“Certain media outlets should stop spreading false rumors and creating fear and even panic with the public,” Trump said.

The president commented to reporters during the White House press briefing on Saturday afternoon.

“I could name them, but it’s always the same ones, I guess they’re looking for ratings, I don’t know what they’re looking for,” Trump said, calling it “so bad for our country and so bad for the world.”

The president reminded reporters that they had the lowest approval ratings of anyone during the crisis.

“You got to put it together for a little while,” Trump said. “Get this over with, and then go back to your fake news.”

Dr. Deborah Birx: This Is Not the Time to Go to the Grocery Store & Trump Says ‘Toughest Week’ Ahead, May Take Hydroxychloroquine Himself

Via Billy

Dr. Deborah Birx, coordinator for the White House coronavirus task force, warns that the U.S. could see a jump in coronavirus deaths in hard-hit areas such as New York, Detroit and Louisiana in the coming week.

Dr. Deborah Birx said Saturday that Americans should especially focus on social distancing guidelines in the next two weeks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

“This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe,” she said.

Birx noted that Pennsylvania, Colorado, and the Washington, DC, metro area were starting to have an increasing number of cases.

“We’re hoping and believing that if people mitigate strongly, the work that they did over the last two weeks will blunt that curve,” she said.

Dumping Milk

From Georgia to Pennsylvania, videos like this are flooding social media.  Dairy producers are facing a devastating scenario and being forced to dump milk down the drain. For some dairy farmers, this marks a first.

“This is the first time in the 32 years I’ve been in business that we’ve had to dump milk in the fields,” says Arnie VanDieden, a dairy producer in Texas.

The Texas producer isn’t alone. Paul Hartman in Reading, Penn. has also been in the business more than 30 years and faced a similar scenario earlier this week.

Forecasting Model Predicts When Each State Will Likely Hit Coronavirus Peak, Gives Possible Total Deaths

NUTLEY, NJ - FEBRUARY 28: A researcher works in a lab that is developing testing for the COVID-19 coronavirus at Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Discovery and Innovation on February 28, 2020 in Nutley, New Jersey. The facility develops novel therapies for some of the world’s most difficult diseases. At least 53 countries have reported cases of infection.

 United States:
  • Peak hospital resource use: April 15, 2020.
  • Peak deaths per day: 2,644 deaths on April 16, 2020.
  • Total deaths by August 4, 2020: 93,531 deaths.
 North Carolina:
  • Peak hospital resource use: April 26, 2020.
  • Peak deaths per day: 51 deaths on April 27, 2020.
  • Total deaths by August 4, 2020: 1,534 deaths.
The University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) created a forecasting model that projects future coronavirus cases and deaths in the United States overall, as well as in individual states.

NPR reported that IHME “produced projections very similar” to the model that White House officials were using for their projections.

IHME’s modelers said that they did not take into account President Donald Trump’s social distancing guidelines when they built their model, but they did take into account which each individual state did.

Josh Hawley: Bring U.S. Manufacturing Back to Facilitate ‘American Comeback’

Via Billy

WASHINGTON, DC - DECEMBER 03: Senate Armed Services Committee member Sen. Josh Hawley (R-OM) questions witnesses during a hearing in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill December 03, 2019 in Washington, DC. Military secretaries and members of the Joint Chiefs testified about a new GAO report about ongoing …

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) proposed his phase four coronavirus plan on Friday that would put Americans back to work and bring back American manufacturing to the United States.

Hawley released a proposal that would serve as the outline for a phase four coronavirus bill that would halt the economic damage of the coronavirus outbreak and to revitalize the economy by bringing back the American supply chain to the United States.

The Department of Labor (DOL) announced that the unemployment rate rose to 4.4 percent due to the coronavirus. Hawley’s outline could serve as a template for a phase coronavirus bill to revive the economy and provide a path for America to revitalize its manufacturing sector.

Hawley wrote that his proposal would insulate America from future supply chain crises that might arise in the future.

Hawley detailed in the proposal:
