Group Argues Agency Violating FOIA to Cover for Hillary Clinton

Judicial Watch today announced that U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson has ordered the U.S. Department of State to turn over to Judicial Watch “eight identical paragraphs” of previously redact material in two September 13, 2012, Hillary Clinton emails regarding phone calls made by President Barack Obama to Egyptian and Libyan leaders immediately following the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.  Both emails had the subject line “Quick Summary of POTUS Calls to Presidents of Libya and Egypt” and were among the emails stored on Clinton’s unofficial email server.  Judge Jackson reviewed the documents directly and rejected the government’s contention that the records had been properly withheld under the FOIA B(5) “deliberative process” exemption.
Judge Jackson ruled:  “the two records, even if just barely predecisional, are not deliberative. [The State Department] has pointed to very little to support its characterization of these two records as deliberative, and the Court’s in camera review of the documents reveals that they do not fall within that category.”

The full emails may reveal what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama knew about the September 11, 2012, terror attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

BATISTE: Mitch Landrieu Exposed – Secret Property, White Supremacy & A Staff Affair

Presidential candidate Mitch Landrieu may want to take a long look in the mirror of honesty if he wants to step on the national stage. Mitch keeps the public in the dark on removing their monuments because that is his modus operandi–he has a closet full of skeletons.

The New Orleans media has given Mitch a long leash. Forget about the balcony tax, your second property tax bill, the sinkhole, increased parking penalties, the traffic camera money-grab, the proposed curfew for Bourbon Street, the NOPD consent decree, the crime, the brazen violence, and the murders. Mitch has baggage most people are unaware of–secret property, well hidden white supremacy, and an extramarital affair.

Property is an interesting topic.  Especially property owned by Mitch and his family that he tried to hide from the public.

Obamacare......"na na na nah, hey-hey-hey, GOODBYE..........."

Via John "DemonRats were mostly interested in covering free medical care for illegal aliens and Obama's refugee jihadis.   Obamacare did that  which is why the DemonRats oppose any healthcare reforms that would interfere with dispensing freebies to their favored voting blocs. With reduced control over where taxpayer dollars, fewer votes can be bought for  upcoming elections.

As we leave Obamacare behind, it's good to take a look back and see WHY it is important that it be ended now, and not wait for it to collapse medical care for tens of millions of Americans.  See the charts below.   And when you see the dismal truth of how damaging Obamacare has been, remember the DemonRats will never acknowledge Obamacare was already in its death throes before its replacement appeared."

Lincoln Feared Re-election Loss

Rudolf Mathias Schleiden was Minister to the US from the Bremen Republic from 1853 through the War Between the States. He reported to his government on February 26 [1861] that “like a thief in the night, the future President arrived here [Washington] on the morning of the 23rd.” Schleiden offered to mediate the coming conflict, but met indifference and resistance at Washington.  Note the last paragraph; Lincoln’s assistant secretary of war, Charles A. Dana, stated that the entire power of the War Department was used to effect Lincoln’s reelection in 1864.
Bernhard Thuersam,   The Great American Political Divide

Lincoln Feared Re-election Loss

“Immediately upon arriving in Richmond, Schleiden wrote to Vice President [Alexander H.] Stephens asking for an interview, to which the latter replied that he would be happy to see him immediately. During the course of a confidential talk which lasted for three hours Stephens declared that he believed all attempts to settle peacefully the differences between the two sections were futile.

“The actions of Seward and Lincoln had filled the South with suspicion,” Stephens said, “but neither the Government at Montgomery nor the authorities of Virginia contemplated an attack on Washington. Public opinion was embittered against the United States because of its strengthening of Fort Pickens and Fort Monroe, and the destruction of the arsenal at Harpers Ferry, and the navy yard at Norfolk . . . ”

In a formal letter written after the conference Schleiden asked for a frank statement of the terms which the South would be ready to grant and accept for the purpose of securing the maintenance peace and gaining time for reflection. To this letter Stephens replied, stating that the Government of the Confederacy had resorted to every honorable means to avoid war, and that if the United States had any desire to adjust amicably the question at issue it should indicate a willingness in some authoritative way to the South.

However, he added . . . ”it seems to be their policy to wage a war for the recapture of former possessions looking to the ultimate coercion and subjugation of the people of the Confederate States to their power and domain. With such an object on their part persevered in, no power on earth can arrest or prevent a most bloody conflict.”

The reelection of Lincoln was almost unanimously predicted by the [foreign] diplomatic corps in January 1864. In February Schleiden mentioned in a dispatch that Lincoln said to Judge Thomas, of Massachusetts, that he would be satisfied if his successor was elected from the Republican Party. If that did not take place the President feared that he would spend the rest of his life in jail for repeated violations of the Constitution. About this time [Salmon P.] Chase remarked to Schleiden that the war would never end so long as Lincoln was president.”

Where Will the Attacks End?

 Confederate Flag Day Address
Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia
March 4, 2017

The Abbeville Institute

I had the honor of delivering the keynote address in 1994 at the Last Capitol of the Confederacy in Danville when we dedicated the monument to the Third National Flag. Much has changed since.

Enemies of traditional culture have succeeded in removing that monument. The City Council of Charlottesville recently voted to remove the statue of General Robert E. Lee from its prominent place in that city. There are calls to remove the Confederate statues on Monument Avenue here in Richmond.

Some of the less radical enemies of traditional culture argue that these monuments and statues must be recast in a different historical context. My purpose today is to talk about a different context. The attacks on Confederate symbols, including the Battle Flag and the National Flags, the statues 1 just described, and the many monuments placed in courthouse squares, on streets and on battlefields throughout the states, must be seen in the context of a larger scheme to destroy traditional culture.

We are standing here today in this cemetery on another example of this cultural struggle. For decades, devoted Virginians who only desire to honor the lives and sacrifices of those combatants buried here in the Confederate Section of this cemetery have been opposed by those who intend to strike the valor of those buried here from our collective memory or to persuade this generation of Americans and all future generations that only the darkest evil motivated those combatants.

But the attack on Confederate symbols docs not stop with these examples. As some in Charlottesville have openly proclaimed, monuments to Thomas Jefferson are the next target. Where will these demands end? If Jefferson symbols must be removed, then those of James Madison, James Monroe, George Mason and Patrick Henry must go. Do we then leave untouched tributes and monuments to the Father of the Nation, George Washington? Must we rename the national capital?

The ultimate aim of the followers of Saul Alinsky and the allies of George Soros is to destroy the culture that produced the United States Constitution, which has survived for more than two and a quarter centuries. We would be willfully blind not to see that the attacks on our traditions are organized, focused and destructive.

The fight to preserve Confederate heritage is only a part of a much larger struggle. We should be working with other defenders of traditional culture to resist the assault of the Radical Left.

Continuing the fight independent of, and separate from, our natural allies would be foolhardy. In George Orwell’s famous satire of the totalitarian Soviet Union — his novel Animal Farm — the character Snowball, a pig, exhorts the animals on Farmer Jones’ farm with the chant “Four legs good, two legs bad.” That chant would become the battle cry of the animals in their revolt against Farmer Jones and humans in general. Orwell was describing the Russian Revolution. He could just as well have been describing the French Revolution of 1789 with its slogan “liberty, equality, fraternity.”

Snowball’s chant was effective, but cynical. Orwell understood that the chant served several purposes: (1) It aroused the emotions of the animals. (2) It reduced everything to a simplistic formula – a thought-stopping slogan. (3) It drowned out dissenting voices. Snowball used that slogan to galvanize a mob to revolt.

That same tactic is at work today throughout the United States, funded largely by George Soros. It is an explicit element of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, which is the playbook of the Radical Left.

Confederate symbols are simply one of the targets, but a useful one for the Radical Left especially since the deranged Dylan Roof murdered nine innocent people in a Charleston, South Carolina church.

During the celebration of the bicentennial of the adoption of the U.S. Constitution in 1978-79, the Radical Left launched opposition because the Constitution tolerated slavery. That opposition got nowhere then. But since then, the systematic undermining of champions of the Constitution, particularly those Virginians among the Founders who were slaveholders, has had its effect.
It is not a stretch, in my view, to liken the destruction of all symbols of religion following the Russian and French Revolutions to the destruction of Buddhist statues in Afghanistan and the Roman structures in Palmyra, Syria by Radical Islamists to the assault on our monuments, statues and symbols here. It won’t stop with the Lee statue in Charlottesville or the Danville monument. It won’t stop with the renaming of Calhoun College at Yale University. The Radical Left isn’t interested in improving our culture. This radical movement wants to replace it by first destroying or making detestable every symbol of every tradition that produced the American Republic.

Unless we understand our proper role in this culture war, we cannot expect to continue celebrating Confederate Flag Day or our heritage. It’s time for us to organize with others who understand the broader cultural war, just as the Radical Left has organized its diverse groups. If we fail to do so, we will lose this culture war by default.

Krauthammer: ‘We will be in a single-payer system’ within 7 years

Via Frank

Fox News political commentator Charles Krauthammer predicted Thursday that healthcare in the U.S. is headed toward a single-payer system.

“The terms of [healthcare] debate are entirely on the grounds of the liberal argument that everybody ought to [have insurance] -- once that happens, you're going to end up with a single-payer,” Krauthammer said on Fox News’s “Special Report with Bret Baier.”

“Republicans are not arguing the free market anymore,” he said. “They have sort of accepted the any commodity. It's not like purchasing a steak or a car. It is something people now have a sense that government ought to guarantee."

Government officials requested to know the identities of more than 1,900 Americans whose information was swept up in National Security Agency surveillance programs last year, according to a newly-released intelligence report.

The identities of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents were found in 3,914 intelligence reports the NSA distributed last year, said the report released Tuesday. The annual report comes just weeks after President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama's national security adviser of possibly committing a crime when she asked government analysts to disclose the names of Trump associates documented in intelligence reports.

FBI report finds officers ‘de-policing’ as anti-cop hostility becomes ‘new norm’

Via Billy

An unclassified FBI study on last year’s cop-killing spree found officers are “de-policing” amid concerns that anti-police defiance fueled in part by movements like Black Lives Matter has become the “new norm.”

“Departments — and individual officers — have increasingly made the decision to stop engaging in proactive policing,” said the report by the FBI Office of Partner Engagement obtained by The Washington Times.

The report, “Assailant Study — Mindsets and Behaviors,” said that the social-justice movement sparked by the 2014 death of 18-year-old Michael Brown at the hands of an officer in Ferguson, Missouri, “made it socially acceptable to challenge and discredit the actions of law enforcement.”
FBI spokesman Matthew Bertron said the study was written in April.

“Nearly every police official interviewed agreed that for the first time, law enforcement not only felt that their national political leaders [publicly] stood against them, but also that the politicians’ words and actions signified that disrespect to law enforcement was acceptable in the aftermath of the Brown shooting,” the study said.

Truck owners and truck rental agencies in the U.S. must be "vigilant" about the increasing frequency of "ramming attacks" by terrorists using vehicles as killing machines, according to a new Transportation Security Administration report obtained exclusively by NBC News.

The unclassified report warns owners, operators and rental agencies to protect their vehicles from theft. Entitled "Vehicle ramming attacks: Threat landscape, indicators and counter measures," the report was sent Tuesday to local law enforcement agencies and private companies working with the Department of Homeland Security.

Trump’s Army sec. pick — a combat hero and devout Christian — under assault from LGBTQ activists

Via Billy

His military resume to become the next Army secretary appears impeccable, but his conservative Christian beliefs have rallied the gay rights movement and its Democratic supporters to defeat the soldier-businessman-politician.

This week, a group of 11 House Republicans entered the battle on the side of combat veteran Mark E. Green, sending an endorsement letter to Senate Armed Services Chairman John McCain, Arizona Republican.

Mark’s commitment to the men and women of the U.S. Army is emboldened by his faithful service as a solider,” said the letter spearheaded by Rep. Duncan Hunter of California and signed by representatives from his home state of Tennessee.

Mr. McCain said his week he has reservations about Mr. Green as Army secretary.

Mr. Green took to Facebook to say the gay rights movement and liberals are “cutting and splicing my words to paint me as a hater. It will not stand.”

Who Knew? These Rappers Are Selling This Gun like Hotcakes

I swear this is not a joke. This is real. Recently, we were examining our internal analytics for GunsAmerica.comWhere America Buys and Sells Guns since 1997 — to see which search terms are popular, basically, to see what guns folks are buying from the website.

To our surprise, the term “Draco” was in the top five. Now, as you might imagine, more often than not terms like “Remington 870” or “Glock 19” or “Springfield XD-S” or “Smith & Wesson M&P” are up toward the top of the list. But when we looked at the list, there was “Draco.”

Now, as you may or may not know Draco is an AK-style pistol chambered in 7.62x39mm. It is made by Romanian manufacturer Cugir and then imported by our friends over at Century Arms.

A government watchdog withheld at least 14 reports that revealed department-wide problems that allow fraud and waste at a cabinet-level agency, The Daily Caller News Foundation’s (TheDCNF) Investigative Group has learned.

The reports concern issues plaguing the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including felons illegally living in federally-funded homes, tax fraud and millions of dollars sitting in unused bank accounts for years. The department’s 2017 budget is $48.9 billion and it has 8,375 employees.

Joan of Arc statue in French Quarter tagged with 'Tear It Down' graffiti

The phrase "Tear it Down" was hastily sprayed in black paint across the base of the golden Joan of Arc statue on Decatur Street in the French Quarter sometime earlier this week. It has since been removed, with only the vaguest traces of the paint remaining.

The "Tear it Down" tag would seem to relate to the debate surrounding the city's ongoing removal of four Confederate monuments. But the statue of Joan of Arc, a 15th-century military leader, martyr and Catholic saint, hasn't been mentioned in the controversy to this point.

Trey Gowdy managed to take shots at both Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton in just one Fox News interview Thursday morning.

Host Bill Hemmer asked the South Carolina Republican what he thought about Rice refusing an invitation to testify about Russia hacking and the unmasking of Trump campaign officials.

“There are other ways to invite people other than via a letter,” Gowdy asserted. “There are things called subpoenas. You shouldn’t have to use them with a former national security advisor, but if you do, you do.”

The representative from South Carolina said that Rice is a “very important witness.”

White House: ACLU lawsuit threat shows anti-religion, anti-GOP bias

The White House said the American Civil Liberties Union showed its true colors Thursday by threatening a lawsuit to block President Trump’s executive order that protects political speech by religious institutions and faith-based groups.

“I don’t think anybody is surprised at the ACLU wants to come out against Republicans,” said White House deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders. “They talk about debating tolerance except when it comes to people of faith and I think that this is actually [something] they should be celebrating, that people are being protected.”

The ACLU said it would sue because of the action and another executive order that lifted the Obamacare mandate for faith-based institutions to pay for abortion services. The ACLU called the orders a “thinly-veiled efforts to unleash his conservative religious base into the political arena while also using religion to discriminate.”

Senate Republicans said Thursday they won't vote on the House-passed bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, but will write their own legislation instead.

A Senate proposal is now being developed by a 12-member working group. It will attempt to incorporate elements of the House bill, senators said, but will not take up the House bill as a starting point and change it through the amendment process.

"The safest thing to say is there will be a Senate bill, but it will look at what the House has done and see how much of that we can incorporate in a product that works for us in reconciliation," said Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.

"We are going to draft a Senate bill," added Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. "That is what I've been told."

The working group has been meeting for weeks, said Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, R-Texas, a member of the group.
