The Tuckers of Virginia

 tucker

If any American today were to listen to the nationalists in charge of either the political class or American education at large, they would get the sense that it is settled science that the American Union is comprised of one people held together by a national government with uncontested sovereignty over all matters foreign and domestic.  Certainly, States and local governments can make laws, but those laws are subject to review by the national judiciary and can be declared invalid at any time if a national judge rules that the law in question violates the prevailing national opinion in regard to any matter, political, social, or economic.  Not even national laws crafted by the national legislature can stop the black robed federal adjudicators.

It has not always been this way.  There are hundreds of dusty tomes buried deep in both research and public libraries that expose this position as a fraud, at least in regard to the federal American system as designed by the founding generation.  And not all lawyers, legal scholars, or judges used to be corrupted by nationalist propaganda.  There were hearty souls who effectively refuted the nationalist lie made popular by Alexander Hamilton, John Marshall, Joseph Story, Daniel Webster, and Abraham Lincoln.

NC: Viking 62 wins the 57th Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament

  big rock update pic

Even though the Viking 62 team enjoyed an enormous lead throughout the 57th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, the final hours proved a bit agonizing until the contest was finally over.

Viking 62, captain Brian Komer, Riviera Beach, Fla., and angler Earle Hall, Hampton, Va., took the tournament’s inaugural lead early Monday when they showed up at the scales with a 680-pound blue marlin. Their catch was big enough to win 26 of the past 30 Big Rock competitions, but that didn’t make the final hours of the tournament go by any faster.

“It’s by far the longest week of my life,” Komer admitted after Viking 62 was finally declared the winner. “Hooking the fish 15 minutes into the first day, I knew we had a long week ahead us. We still went out there, stuck with our game plan and we didn’t let up. It worked out just great.”

But not without a late tournament scare.

Shots fired at Cleveland police in foot chase of suspect

Via The Last Refuge

Shots were fired Sunday at Cleveland police officers in a foot chase of a suspect near the site of a boy's fatal encounter with officers last year, police said.

Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams told reporters Sunday afternoon that officers responded that morning to a report of six men waving guns and a man at the scene fled police when they tried to question him. The chief said the man pointed a gun at police and an officer fired four rounds without hitting the man, who continued running.

A number of unidentified people then began firing at officers from behind as police continued chasing the man, who was apprehended a few blocks away, Williams said.

Spinning WACO II

Either the Waco police are lying or the eyewitnesses are. Apparently, a deliberate disinformation campaign began about 45 minutes after the deadly biker massacre in the Twin Peaks restaurant parking lot in Waco on May 17. One must use the word “apparently” because that is how disinformation works.

Three separate narratives describe what happened that day: The official police version which has been most widely parroted by the press; the Cossacks version; and the strikingly consistent version told by everybody else including members of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club.

The Sunday Times’ Snowden Story is Journalism at its Worst — and Filled with Falsehoods

Featured photo - The Sunday Times’ Snowden Story is Journalism at its Worst — and Filled with Falsehoods

Western journalists claim that the big lesson they learned from their key role in selling the Iraq War to the public is that it’s hideous, corrupt and often dangerous journalism to give anonymity to government officials to let them propagandize the public, then uncritically accept those anonymously voiced claims as Truth. But they’ve learned no such lesson.

That tactic continues to be the staple of how major U.S. and British media outlets “report,” especially in the national security area. And journalists who read such reports continue to treat self-serving decrees by unnamed, unseen officials — laundered through their media — as gospel, no matter how dubious are the claims or factually false is the reporting.

Assault at ‘First Fridays’ under investigation, victim calls attack a ‘hate crime’

Police are investigating an assault that was reported during First Fridays in Florence.

Investigators said 20 to 30 juveniles assaulted a Lauderdale County man and his 14-year-old son at Wilson Park on Friday, June 5.  According to the victim’s wife, who witnessed the attack, the group “was using slurs of race” while tasing her husband and beating him.

“Randomly, they just him me in the back of the head,” said 14-year-old Brandon Dawes. “I didn’t think nothing of it at first because, well, I thought maybe somebody tripped or something.”

Juli Dawes said her husband Kevin was trying to protect their son when they turned on him.

Could the Obama Administration Frame You?

ACTION: a bill that will protect innocent gun owners from getting railroaded by the ATF.

Bill to rein in ATF, safeguard gun owners from “secret tests”

Last week, Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA) introduced a bill that will protect many gun owners from being framed by Obama’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

H.R. 2753, or “The Fairness in Firearms Testing Act,” would require the ATF to make a videotape of any guns they test and to make those recordings available to everyone.

Rep. Hice -- an A+ rated freshman who was strongly supported by Gun Owners of America in his initial bid for Congress -- wants to protect gun owners from official harassment.  His bill would require the ATF to visually document (via recordings) any of its gun testings.  This is extremely important, given their controversial decisions where they’ve classified semiautomatics as full automatics.

Gun Owners of America has worked with law-abiding Americans who have been victimized by ATF’s “secret tests.”  And we are disgusted by the bureau’s refusal to release testing information which does not comport the results ATF desires.

The Obama administration claims to value transparency.  But ATF has been less than transparent when it comes to testing that affects the livelihood of thousands, the constitutional rights of millions, and the potential criminal liability of many.

You can help by urging your Congressman to cosponsor H.R. 2753.

Arkansas Cops Caught on Video Assaulting Blind Man Before Lying on Arrest Report Little Rock Arkansas Cops Caught on Video Assaulting Blind Man Before Lying on Arrest Report

Via avordvet

A blind man in Arkansas sustained a back injury after being assaulted by Little Rock police who failed to identify themselves before lying about the incident.

After missing the bus from his job at Lighthouse for the Blind on June 1, Eric Wilson was walking home when he was approached by police and ordered to walk over to them.

Wilson is legally blind and says that he can only see shadows.  He complied, despite not knowing if he was about to be robbed or about to be confronted with actual police officers as they did not identify themselves.

Old Soldiers' Home Confederate Veteran Profile -- Richard Elam & Jefferson Davis Graveside

 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcvUTfFLo-apJQMEMDXBOnUYR4hOVvi7SG8xpNPXM4HQ0mxnh1RbiyhTfwGCRiUwYyEgUGONHf9-9TVSa4FoF7kT_VpPHI6U4EVpEJcFVrtQT4Lb4MfqfICP0bZNn0qsDYdvX975ENAwa9/s1600/11203097_641318952669452_4528440545262947023_n.JPG

The Virginia Flaggers are pleased to announce the latest release in a series of profiles of Confederate Veterans with connections to the Old Soldiers' Home, on the grounds of Confederate Memorial Park in Richmond, VA.

For over nearly four years, the Virginia Flaggers have forwarded the colors, twice a week, on the sidewalk outside of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) after museum officials forced the removal of Confederate Battle Flags from the portico of the Confederate Memorial Chapel.

One cannot truly appreciate the history and significance of the Chapel, nor the degree of desecration committed when museum leadership, driven by their own misguided prejudice and ignorance, removed the flags, without knowing the (personal) stories of the men who built the Chapel, worshiped in it every Sunday, and gathered each time the bell tolled, to pay their respects to and honor their comrades, as one by one, the Veterans passed over to eternity.

For many of our Flaggers, this fight is about more than just defending our Heritage against yet another unwarranted and unprovoked attack. For those whose veins course with the blood of the men who actually had a connection to the Old Soldiers'Home, it is personal:

Richard J. Elam was born in 1848 in Chesterfield County, Virginia, and grew up on the family plantation in the Skinquarter section of that county. On May 24, 1861, at the tender age of 12 years old, he joined the Confederate Army along with his older cousin Joseph A. Elam. He was mustered into the 6th Virginia Infantry's Co. K (the "Alstadt Grays," "Alstadt" being German for "Old Town").

Richard's muster roll cards say he was 18 at the time, but, like many other recruits before and since the War Between the States, he likely lied about his age so he could join. It is worth noting that since the Elams were neighbors of the family of 6th VA Captain E.H. Flournoy, Richard's fellow soldiers probably knew about his age.

Unprovoked White Shark Attacks on Divers

Via comment by c w on NC: 13-Year-Old Injured After Reported Shark Attac...

 http://www.indopacificimages.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/GWS-Scan-001-1_750.jpg

During the Twentieth Century divers constituted the largest number of victims for any of the four victim groups: divers, surfers, swimmers, and kayakers. There were 108 authenticated unprovoked shark attacks reported from the Pacific Coast of North America, with 50 (46%) directed at divers. The White Shark was determined to be the species responsible in 45 (90%) of the 50 recorded attacks on divers.

Over a 15 day period in 1984, four shark attacks — one of them fatal — occurred off the Pacific Coast of the United States. The drama would begin on Saturday, 15 September 1984, with the death of 28-year-old abalone free diver Omar Conger.

Marine Snipers Losing Gunfight

It was the summer of 2011 in southern Helmand province, Afghanistan, and mission after mission, Sgt. Ben McCullar of Third Battalion, Second Marines, would insert with his eight-man sniper team into the berms and dunes north of the volatile town of Musa Qala.

Sometimes they would fire at a group of enemy fighters, sometimes the enemy would fire at them first, but almost immediately, McCullar explained, their team would be pinned down by machine guns that outranged almost all of their sniper rifles.

“They’d set up at the max range of their [machine guns] and start firing at us,” McCullar said. “We’d take it until we could call in [close air support] or artillery.”

Time Change:

On Saturday, GRNC sent an alert asking that you attend the congressional hearing regarding the 'Something Bruin' scandal.

The hearing will still be held tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16, in Waynesville, NC. However, the time of the event is 10:00 AM, not 10:30 as originally noted. Please attend this hearing, and help to hold these bureaucrats accountable for their dangerous breach of the public trust.

Below, read about the 'Something Bruin' scandal ("Bruingate"), and find the updated information for the hearing.

GRNC has been monitoring progress of investigation into the botched 2009-2013 multi-agency sting operation code-named "Something Bruin".

Agencies involved include the US Forest Service, the National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service and North Carolina and Georgia state wildlife agencies. The four year, multimillion undercover operation was claimed necessary to stop "known" bear poaching rings operating in North Carolina and Georgia.

NJ Woman Killed By Ex While Waiting For Gun Permit

Strict New Jersey guns laws and a lengthy firearms application process left Carol Browne, 39, alone and unarmed on the day her violent ex fatally stabbed her.

Browne knew her ex was coming for her and prepared for the encounter the best she could. She filed a restraining order against him, installed security cameras around her New Jersey home, and even applied for a gun permit – the only way to guarantee she had the power to protect herself.

Browne filed for her firearms permit on April 21, and local police are supposed to make their decision within 30 days. Nearly a month and a half later, however, the paperwork had still not been processed.

Cops trained to keep fingers on trigger when they deploy their firearms?

Via avordvet

 http://www.senexbulletin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/VOL_01_NO_02_Training_Trigger_Finger_02_X1000.jpg

Unbelievable.

Excerpt

Think about that and let it wash over you again.  When a cop pulls his handgun and points it your direction, according to the training he has received, he most likely has his finger on the trigger of the weapon.  And thus do we reach the root cause of the problems – not Glocks, or M&Ps, or any other ridiculous culprits.  It’s a shame that Bob couldn’t have pointed out the truth rather than blame the gun.  Blaming the gun is what gun controllers do, and why the collectivists wanted the so-called smart gun.

So other than reminding you that this violates two of the sacred rules of gun safety (muzzle discipline and trigger discipline), let’s rehearse sympathetic muscle reflexes again, and I’ll remind you of what I said about how the Marine Corps trained my son Daniel as a SAW gunner.  First concerning sympathetic muscle reflexes.

Ukrainians Dispossessed, Americans are next

Via comment by Anonymous on The GOP

Image result for Washington-orchestrated Maiden Revolution

Over the last 15 months Ukrainians have paid for Washington’s overthrow of their elected government in deaths, dismemberment of their country, and broken economic and political relationships with Russia that cost Ukraine its subsidized energy. Now Ukrainians are losing their pensions and traditional support payments. The Ukrainian population is headed for the graveyard.

On June 1 the TASS news agency reported that Ukraine has stopped payments to pensioners, World War II veterans, people with disabilities, and victims of Chernobyl.

According to the report, Kiev has also “eliminated transport, healthcare, utilities and financial benefits for former prisoners of Nazi concentration camps and recipients of some Soviet-era orders and titles. Compensations to families with children living in the areas contaminated by radiation from the Chernobyl accident will be no longer paid either.

Ukraine’s parliamentary opposition believes that the Prosecutor General’s Office should launch an investigation against Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk who actively promoted the law on the abolition of privileges.”

Notice that this is a yank of the blanket from under the elderly in Ukraine. “Useless eaters,” they are assigned to the trash can. How do the deceived Maiden student protesters feel now that they are culpable in the destruction of their grandparents’ support systems?

Do these gullible fools still believe in the Washington-orchestrated Maiden Revolution?

The crimes in which these stupid students are complicit are horrific.
