"A remarkable quote from president's speech last week further underscores the bankruptcy of progressivism. After once again blaming everyone else for the debacle of the website's rollout, he said something that should stun every American. 'What we're also discovering is that insurance is complicated to buy.' Obama and Democrats concoct a 2000 page healthcare bill and another 11,000 pages of regulations that apply to it, and the president is just now discovering that buying insurance is complicated? A gargantuan case of hubris, coupled with stunning level of ignorance about how the real world works, is the essence of progressivism. ...

Are you aware of that fact that even if this disaster comes to full flower, the Congressional Budget Office projects that 32 million people will still be uninsured ten years from now, even as an additional $1.8 trillion will be spent by the federal government to achieve that result? How come our progressive champions never mention that reality? Because, in the end, what's going on isn't really about healthcare. It's about control. And if 32 million people are left out in the cold? So what."

Volvo Trucks - The Epic Split feat. Van Damme

Via Kirk

The latest Volvo commercial is going viral for good reason. Action star Jean-Claude Van Damme takes his 53 year-old body to the next level to showcase Volvo's Dynamic Steering System. The stunt is in fact real. A Volvo rep confirmed that the spot was done in just one take, and if the actor had gotten a leg cramp while filming, he would have been protected by plenty of safety lines that were not visible in the final video. He also was aided by small platforms on the trucks' side mirrors that helped prop up his feet. But none of this takes away from the badassery of doing a perfect split between two massive moving vehicles.

The Times-News is reporting that Alamance County Commissioners are considering a comprehensive gun ban in County Buildings. Not known for being an anti-Second Amendment group, it may seem perplexing that Alamance County leaders would consider such a thing. Apparently, the discussion springs from a couple of recent incidents that are only remarkable in the fact that they are not “incidents” at all.

On a couple of occasions, citizens going about their daily business had stopped in to county offices to pay their taxes. While doing so, they happened to be open-carrying firearms. There has been no suggestion that the citizens acted strangely or threateningly in any way, and it’s worth noting that it is perfectly legal to open-carry in Alamance County buildings. To summarize the situation: no incident occurred, and no laws were broken. However, to be fair, it should be noted that some taxes were paid. So, where’s the problem?

It’s reported that some county employees expressed that they were “scared” by the presence of the lawfully armed citizens paying their taxes. So now, based on the feelings of a few individuals, the Commissioners are considering an all-out gun ban. That would be a gun ban on the very property that is funded by the taxes that these citizens came in to pay. The irony is striking.

When asked about the non-incidents, Sheriff Terry Johnson

“I am a believer in a man’s right to bear arms, but you don’t walk into a county building with a gun strapped on the side of you.”

Which is it? Do the people have the right to bear arms, or don’t they? If Sheriff Johnson truly believes in that right, and intends to honor his oath to protect it, you’d think that he would be incensed that the County Commissioners would even consider a gun ban. One might even point out that Sheriff Johnson himself frequents county buildings, presumably with a gun strapped on his side. The irony is snowballing.

Unfortunately, Alamance County buildings are already posted against concealed carry, which means there is only one option left for citizens to legally bear arms if they need to pass through that particular public space. An additional restriction, one on open-carry, would establish a de facto 100% gun ban, and that would surely call into question Sheriff Johnson’s and the Commissioners’ commitment to the rights of the citizens they serve.

However foolish and ineffective it may be, property owners have every right to ban guns from their private lands and structures. Such is the nature of private ownership. However, if there is any place where the Bill of Rights is clearly applicable, and ought to be non-negotiable, it is on public property. County officials are elected and hired to serve the citizens of the county. It is the citizen who has the right to bear arms, and he or she has the right to do so primarily on public property, for the very reason that it is public—the citizens own it. If the County Commissioners claim the authority to infringe on this right, one can only wonder what’s next.

A gentle prompting may be needed to nudge the Alamance County Commissioners in the right direction. Surely, once they hear from their supervisors (the people), they will recall what it is they are charged with protecting, and whom they are charged with serving. Below, you’ll find contact information and a message that can be used to communicate your concerns to the County Commissioners.

Thief Gets Surprise Of A Lifetime, And He Never Saw This Coming

Shoplifters are a sneaky bunch. They craft all kinds of ways to get your stuff without you knowing.

This thief tries to be sneaky, placing items in a bag like he had already purchased them. He never expected what this shop owner would do. This idiot probably didn’t even realize he was being watched.

Sebelius asked to explain $2B in Obamacare loans: 'What amount does HHS expect to be repaid?'

Several leading GOP members of Congress are asking Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, under whose watch the website rollout has experience one fiasco after another, to explain the $2 billion in taxpayer money loaned to various interests to get health insurance CO-OPs up and running – and whether the taxpayers will get any of that back.

Just when the Obamacare experience appears to be able to go no lower – the website malfunctions, millions of policies are canceled outright, only thousands are able to sign up via online offerings, prices for policies are skyrocketing, and more – come the questions about loans.

“Out of the $1.98 billion awarded to CO-OPs, what amount does HHS expect to be repaid? What is the period of time by which HHS expects these funds to be repaid?” were among the questions presented to Sebelius by Sen. Orrin Hatch, ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee; Sen. Lamar Alexander, ranking member of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee; Sen. Michael Enzi, ranking member of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee on Children and Families; Sen. Tom Coburn, ranking member of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee; and Rep. Charles Boustany Jr., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee on Oversight.

O’Keefe video captures nonprofit Obamacare enrollment group conspiring to engage in political activity

An official with the nonprofit Obamacare enrollment group Enroll America conspired to give people’s personal information to what he thought was a political action committee, according to James O’Keefe’s latest video, provided to The Daily Caller.

Enroll America, which Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted to fundraising for, is a “nonpartisan” 501(c)(3) nonprofit that critics accuse of working as an unofficial Obamacare navigator across the country.

Enroll America’s Texas state communications lead Christopher Tarango conspired to provide a list of potential Obamacare enrollees, obtained through the “commit cards” that the group hands out door to door to help them pick insurance plans, to an O’Keefe investigator posing as the representative of a political action committee.

Free Fall: Obama Approval Dives to 37 Percent & 62% Disapprove of Obamacare

According to a new CBS News Poll, President Obama's approval rating has nosedived into the mid-30s, surely setting off a panic at the White House.
President Barack Obama's job approval rating has plunged to the lowest of his presidency. 37% now approve of the job he is doing as president, down from 46% in October -- a nine point drop in just a month. Mr. Obama's disapproval rating is 57% -- the highest level for this president in CBS News Polls.

The failed implementation of Obamacare and the continuing loss of health insurance seems to be doing the most damage and now a whopping 61 percent of people disapprove of Obama's handling of healthcare.
A rocky beginning to the opening of the new health care exchanges has also taken its toll on how Americans perceive the Affordable Care Act. Now, approval of the law has dropped to 31 percent -- the lowest number yet recorded CBC News Polls and a drop in 12 percent since last month. 61% disapprove (a high for this poll), including 46% who say they strongly disapprove.

Defending the U.S. Constitution

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Walter B. Jones is pleased to announce he has been chosen as a recipient of the Constitution Award by The New American in honor of his perfect score on the magazine’s Freedom Index.

The Freedom Index is a congressional scorecard based on 10 votes chosen by the editorial board that reflect a representative or senator’s “adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements” during the first session of the 113th Congress.

Congressman Jones was one of only 12 members of the House and Senate to earn a score of 100 percent.

“I am honored to receive the Constitution Award from The New American,” said Congressman Jones.  “Our Constitution is under constant attack, and defending America’s principles of freedom is my greatest privilege and responsibility as a member of the House of Representatives.”

Now the Museum of the Confederacy and the American Civil War Center are joining forces to build a $30 million museum in Richmond with the goal of creating the top Civil War museum in the nation 150 years after the deadliest conflict fought on U.S. soil.

The marriage of museums, announced to The Associated Press, will meld the collection of Confederate battle flags, uniforms, weapons and other historic relics with a narrative-based museum that uses bold, interactive exhibits and living history events to relate its 360-degree telling of the war.

What some might view as an unlikely partnership "makes so much sense" to Christy Coleman, president of the American Civil War Center, which opened in 2000 at a site where the new museum will rise.

"That's part of the point," Coleman said in an interview with The Associated Press. "They have an incredible collection that is absolutely Confederate strong, but there are a lot of artifacts that have not been able to be fully explored or used to relate to the African-American experience or immigrants or the role of Jews."

Frederick, Maryland

October 5, 2007

Dear Mr.Rawls:

I have been a member of the Museum of the Confederacy for many years and I am happy to hear you state that ''We will not abandon Richmond." I am, however, disappointed to read some statements you made in a letter I received dated 9 September 2007. In the third paragraph, I am sorry you used the words "Civil War." I need not define to you -the words "Civil War." You must know that our war was the War for Southern Independence; the War of Northern Aggression; the War Between the States. Take your pick, Mr.Rawls, but do not say "Civil War."

When you write in your letter, "... when we say the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag, the phrase 'indivisible, with liberty and justice for all' rings in our ears,".. .and we're the products of the crucible of our own internal conflict," I must insist that these words are not the products of our own internal conflict.

These words were written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy, a Baptist minister who was forced to resign his pastorate because of his Socialist sermons and political activities.

Mr. Rawls, you should know that "our own internal conflict" was fought to defend the Constitutional principles of States' Rights, to free the people of the South from their economic strangulation by the radical Republican Lincoln Administration, which government was determined to destroy our Southern culture. Our War was fought to prevent a rapacious Federal Government (it is not federalat all, having repudiated in concept of federalism given to us by the Founding Fathers) to impose its way of life and dictatorial politics and culture upon the South.

Francis Bellamy admired the ideas of the French Revolution. He believed that it helped men to appreciate their personal dignity and God-given rights, to which you and I will say "Yes," but at what a horrendous and demonic and totally unnecessary price in blood and possessions. Through some devious political connections he was permitted to write the Pledge of Allegiance with his Socialist intentions to weld together the mentality of all Americans in their allegiance to a centralized Federal Government.

For example, the word allegiance was taken from President Lincoln's Oath of Allegiance, which all Southerners had to take to regain citizenship, and to admit that they were guilty of rebellious, and that they were evil people.

Bellamy used the word indivisible to impress Southerners that secession was a grevious sin and that they were guilty; and especially the children were made to feel guilty that their parents fought for freedom, independence, self-government, and the protection of their families, houses, churches, farms and cities from destruction. And by the way, no human political construct is ever indivisible. Only GOD IS INDIVISIBLE! Southern scholars and historians have written that Bellamy's idea to include "liberty and justice for all" is a substitute phrase which he was forced to use instead of his preferred phrase, "Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity," the atheist words of the radical French Revolution.
John Dewey admired Francis Bellamy and we all know that Dewey, who advocated "Progressive Education," willingly played into the subversive agenda of the cultural Marxists. Francis Bellamy can be linked to Dewey, who has produced a morally corrupt, anti-Christian, multi-cultural, secular public school system which now openly attacks traditional Christian culture.

Finally, Mr. Rawls, the Museum of the Confederacy was designed and established to celebrate the Confederacy and the Southern history and culture and people who had to go to war to defend themselves. For you to say that the museum exists to help Southerners "find an understanding -warts and all-" is to undermine the original and true purpose of this museum. There
are many other museums in our country which deliberately try to impose on the South and our ancestors ugly lies about our warts and all We Southerners should not surrender our duty to celebrate the Confederacy.

We have an understanding of what the war was all about. .

If I were in your position as President and CEO of the Museum of the Confederacy, I would place on the most visible place in the museum the immortal words of General Stephen D. Lee:

"To you, sons of Confederate Veterans, we submit the vindication of the Cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier's good name, the guardianship of history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles he loved and which made him glorious and which you also cherish. Remember it is your duty to
see that the true history of the South is presented to future generations."

With best wishes for you in your care of OUR museum,

I am,

Sincerely yours,

My letter to the Honorable Mr. Sam Carter, Board of Supervisors, Appomattox County, Va. You may wish to do something similar. Here is the gentlemans email address:

Dear Supervisor Carter,

I hope you are well. I wish to make you aware of some rather disturbing events that have taken place at the Museum of the Confederacy. I am the president of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. We have been around since 1896 and have around 31,000 members today. My organization has been keenly interested in the Museum of the Confederacy for as long as we have been in existence. In the past the museum has been a grand defender of the Southern plight to gain self-government and has been used to tell the story of our common ancestors.

Unfortunately, lately, and under the direction of Mr. Waite Rawls, the museum has taken a turn to the north. Recently Mr. Rawls attempted an effort to rid the museum's name of the word "Confederacy." He received much resistance from the community and he reversed his efforts (for now). With the new museum in your backyard he is once again senselessly fanning the flames of discontent. It boggles the minds of many a Southerner as to why there is to be NO Confederate flag flying outside of The Museum of the Confederacy.

There is a great deal of angst over this situation and my membership, joined by many others, is incensed. I bring this matter to you today because I know of your love for your community and I hope we share a common bond with our noble past. I would like to see the Museum a success that would not only benefit the truthful history of our region but bring prosperity to your fair city. Two weeks ago, with this same motivation, I called Mr. Rawls to speak with him about these present concerns. We spent over three hours on the phone over the weekend. I know that many people will be determined to see a flag fly outside of the museum and many will make their feelings known by protesting outside of the museum. I pleaded with Mr. Rawls to take action to divert this otherwise unnecessary disruption. But he only gave me weak excuses of not even considering their requests. He told me that your office would be "furious if he put a Confederate flag outside." He told me that the Mayor would be very upset, then he told me that his investors informed him that if he did anything controversial then they would withdraw their funds. With so many stories, I don't know what to believe therefore I am to believe none of it.

Due to Mr. Rawls past views of the symbols of the Confederacy and his apparent agenda to pander to the politically-correct and the northern dollar, I lean toward the notion that it is Mr. Rawls and Mr. Rawls alone that wish for no Confederate flag to fly outside of the Museum of the Confederacy.

I could have helped resolve this problem long ago, but Mr. Rawls does not see fit to have the opinion of the largest and most respected heritage organization at their table to discuss matters so vitally important to us and our fellow Southerners.

I ask you today to help us change the mind of Mr. Rawls and let's find an amenable solution. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. I am most,

Respectfully yours,

Michael Givens

MAC’s machine gun shoot & The Lead Shortage “Conspiracy”

The Lead Shortage “Conspiracy”

In recent days various news outlets, blogs, and forums have gotten very worked up over the closure of the nation’s last primary lead smelter in Herculaneum, Missouri. Many are claiming that this is an attempt of the Obama Administration to implement “backdoor gun control” by destroying the lead used as the primary metal in most bullets and shot used by the ammunition industry.
This is simply untrue.

Despite the hysteria to the contrary, the primary smelter in Herculaneum has almost no direct impact on the U.S. ammunition market. Pure lead, in fact, is not desirable for the creation of ammunition as it is too soft. Pure lead is primarily used in the creation of low-contamination specialty products.

Confederate heroine Emma Sansom marker to be dedicated in Gadsden Saturday

Gadsden City Councilman Johnny Cannon said the marker is near the end of Black Creek Trail close to the Etowah County Rescue Squad headquarters. The marker commemorates the spot where Sansom assisted Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest.

2013 marks the 150th anniversary of Sansom's encounter, and there were several events earlier this year in connection with the date. On May 2, 1863, Union Col. Abel Streight and approximately 1,700 U.S. infantry crossed Black Creek, then set fire to the bridge to prevent the pursuing Confederate forces, under the command of Forrest.

Forrest, looking for a way to get across the creek, got assistance from 15-year-old Sansom, a local resident who knew the best route.

Supreme Court Refuses to Block Texas Abortion Clinic Standards

 Wendy Davis for Texas

The Supreme Court will not block Texas legislation requiring abortion clinic doctors to have admitting privileges at local hospitals. More from the AP:
A sharply divided Supreme Court is allowing Texas to continue enforcing abortion restrictions that opponents say have led more than a third of the state's clinics to stop providing abortions.

The justices voted 5-4 Tuesday to leave in effect a provision requiring doctors who perform abortions in clinics to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.

The court's conservative majority refused the plea of Planned Parenthood and several Texas abortion clinics to overturn a preliminary federal appeals court ruling that allowed the provision to take effect.

The four liberal justices dissented.

The case remains on appeal to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. That court is expected to hear arguments in January, and the law will remain in effect at least until then.

If Congress 'finishes the job' as Brady Campaign demands, 2nd is finished

Via avordvet

Americans have surrendered much freedom as part of the 'War on Terror' in response to 9/11. Al-Qaeda started the job of tricking Americans into giving up their own liberty, and the Brady Campaign hopes to fiinish that job

The Brady Campaign, having last Wednesday finished a three-day "summit' in Washington D.C. attended by a few hundred forcible citizen disarmament zealots, is demanding that Congress "finish the job" of imposing oppressive gun laws on the once free American people:
"We will not go away until Congress finishes the job and extends effective Brady background checks, which have already saved so many lives, to online and all gun show sales.
If the Brady Campaign were remotely interested in honesty, of course, they would acknowledge that even taking the draconian step of banning all private gun sales, as they currently demand, would come nowhere near "finishing the job" of disarming the American people to the Bradys' satisfaction.

FBI Video Shows Al Qaeda in Kentucky Handling Heavy Weapons

The 2010 video, obtained exclusively by ABC News, was part of a broader ABC News investigation into the flawed refugee vetting program, which officials said may have let “dozens” of terrorists into the country.

In the video, Waad Ramadan Alwan is seen expertly field stripping what the FBI identified as a Russian PKM machine gun. Other still images provided by the FBI from hours-worth of surveillance footage show Alwan and an accomplice, Mohanad Shareef Hammadi, handling a Stinger missile launcher and a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher.

An FBI agent assigned to the sting operation that captured the video told ABC News that Alwan had bragged to an informant about killing American soldiers in Iraq. “He said he had them ‘for lunch and dinner,’” FBI Louisville Supervisory Special Agent Tim Beam said.

Zimmerman 'has PTSD, millions in debt' : 'His life is ruined by what they've done to him'

George Zimmerman is drowning in $2.5 million in debt and is said to be showing signs of a severe psychological condition following the beleaguered Neighborhood Watch volunteer’s acquittal for the murder of Trayvon Martin last summer.

Journalist and author Jack Cashill, who covers the Zimmerman case in his new book, “If I Had a Son: Race, Guns, and the Railroading of George Zimmerman,” believes that the Florida man’s latest actions are uncharacteristic of the person Zimmerman was before the Trayvon shooting and may be a sign that he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD

“I’ve talked to his father and his brother and they said he’s just not the same person. I would say PTSD is probably a pretty good description of what’s going on,” Cashill told WND. “They took his job, took his marriage, the whole thing cost him tremendously and the media gloried in his screw-ups.”

Zimmerman – who is said to have gained 120 pounds since his 2012 arrest – reappeared in the news this week as word came out that he been arrested on domestic assault charges relating to an alleged altercation with his girlfriend. He is accused of pointing a shotgun at her.

Islam and the Survival of the West

Part 1 of a Series

Is Islam a Religion of Peace and Tolerance?

Mike Scruggs

“Americans respect and honor Islam.”
-President Bill Clinton
September 21, 1998

In addition to President Bill Clinton’s conciliatory words about Islam, former President George W. Bush has often referred to Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance. There is a sense in which this is half true. The Koran, which Muslims believe to be the direct revelation of Allah given to his Prophet Muhammad (570-632 AD), contains verses that seem to preach peace and tolerance. But it also contains many verses that preach Jihad, or holy war, against all unbelievers including Jews and Christians. These verses call for either death or humiliating and oppressive subjugation for all who will not convert to Islam.

The foundational doctrines of Islam are supported by the Koran and the accepted traditions of Muhammad’s life and teachings. These traditions and teachings are called individually the Hadiths and collectively the Sunna. The Sunna is much more voluminous and almost as sacred as the Koran. The Sunna is the primary explanatory documentation for the meaning of the Koran. So according to the Koran and the Sunna, is Islam a religion of peace and tolerance, or is it a religion of violence, oppression, and intolerance for all who deny its tenets? How do Muslims resolve this inconsistency? What does it mean for the West?

Interpreting the Koran: The Doctrine of Abrogation

Muslim theologians have a way of explaining the inconsistencies of the Koran. They have a rule for interpretation called, “Abrogation.” Whenever verses are in contradiction, the chronology of the verses determines their significance and proper interpretation. Later verses abrogate (cancel or supercede) earlier contradictory verses

This creates an enormous problem for those in the West who insist on believing Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. Almost all the peace and tolerance verses of the Koran come from the earlier period of Allah’s alleged revelation to Muhammad in Mecca, when the Prophet still hoped to convince the Christian and Jewish minorities in Arabia of the compatibility of the new revelations with their faith. But what Muhammad knew of Christian and Jewish Scripture was not extensive, often quite distorted, and usually heretical. The verses of fire, sword, destruction, and oppressive subjugation for those who do not convert to Islam come from the later period in Medina, when Muhammad’s efforts to convince the Jews and Christians to follow him as the final and authoritative Prophet of God had failed. Sura (chapter) 9, a Medina chapter of the Koran, is thought to be the last or next to last revelation to the Prophet. Thus it has a last word status in the Koran. Unfortunately, it is the most militant, violent, and anti-Jewish and anti-Christian chapter in the Koran. Earlier abrogated verses have much less status, but they are often used disingenuously by Muslim propagandists and naively by their Western devotees to present a more acceptable and less threatening image of Islam to the West.

The hard truth is that because of Islam’s interpretive doctrine of abrogation, there is very little peace and tolerance for unbelievers left in Islam. Jihad, or holy war against unbelievers, is the rule and not the exception. The only peace in Islam is when all are converted or subjugated to Islam. All must submit to Islamic Law (Sharia). Indeed, Islam does not mean peace; it means “submission.” An important but dangerously neglected fact that one must confront in dealing with Islam is that Islam is much more than just a religion. It is a total worldview encompassing every aspect of life. It is also a totalitarian, revolutionary, and expansionist ideology demanding that Islamic Law (Sharia) reign supreme in all of life everywhere. Jihad is the struggle to establish Islamic religious and political hegemony in the world. There are many forms of Jihad, but the ultimate objective is the same—the dominance of Islam. The most frequently exalted form of Jihad in the Koran and the sayings of Muhammad is armed conflict against those who resist the faith of Islam.

The opening exclamation of 112 of 113 chapters of the Koran repeats these words:

“In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.”

On opening the Koran and seeing these words repeated so often, it is understandable that the first impression often leads people to mistakenly believe that Allah (The Arabic word for God) and the Lord God of the Bible are the same. You might even conclude on that basis that Islam must surely be a religion almost like Christianity and Judaism and therefore a religion of peace and tolerance. But you would be badly mistaken.

There are many verses in the Koran that bear some resemblance to the Bible in language and style, and which seem to preach peace, tolerance, compassion, and mercy.

On the other hand, if you pick up and read Sura 9: 5, you have quite a different impression:

“And when the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with God wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush: but if they shall convert, and observe prayer, pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious, Merciful.”

“Those who join other gods with God” in this verse means specifically those who believe in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Belief in the Trinity to Muslims is terrible apostasy and blasphemy, deserving death. Thus the Koran exhorts Muslim believers to go out and kill Christians unless they convert to Islam. Convert or die is not the command of religious tolerance.

In addition to the Koran, there are many sayings of Muhammad, which clearly indicate his great emphasis on Jihad, or holy war against infidels, and glorification of martyrdom in the expansion of Islam.

A common theme of multiculturalist apologists for Islam in recent years is that Jihad is primarily a doctrine of spiritual struggle. That opinion is held by only a small percentage of Muslim scholars of Islam and by some in the mystical, and syncretistic Sufi sect, but it has never been the primary interpretation in the major branches of mainstream Islam. The only group with a strong majority supporting the “peace and tolerance” counterfactual version of Jihad is American college professors of “Religious” studies. This is in amazing contrast to all documental and historical evidence. This insupportable position they hold to with almost hysterical political correctitude. Unfortunately they have considerable influence in educational, media, and political spheres. Nevertheless, violent holy war against all who reject Islam has always been the primary meaning of Jihad in Islam.

Muhammad himself said that “the most important acts a man can perform are faith, war in the path of Allah, and a blameless pilgrimage.” It takes considerable self- deception by Western multiculturalists to believe otherwise.

Via WiscoDave

This coming weekend is the start of the 9 day WI deer hunting season.
383,537 licenses have been sold so far.

There are only 13 countries in the world that have standing armies LARGER than the number of WI deer hunters.
I know this is only WI and other states may have more but it does give me pause to think. That is a lot of people with guns going into the woods. I'm not making any implications about these numbers - this is not a III thing or a pro gun thing or a WI thing. It's just a WOW thing.

Police: 60 year old woman shoots and kills rapist in his 20s

Kansas City police said the woman called 911 about 1:30 a.m. Thursday after she came home to find a man dead inside her home in the 1800 block of East 68th Street.

Police say a woman in her 60s shot and killed a man in his 20s early Thursday morning.

Homicide detectives are still investigating a shooting death at a home in the city's east side near East 68th Street and The Paseo.

Police said a woman called 911 about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s dead from apparent gunshot wounds inside the home. He was later identified as 24-year-old Paul J. Williams.

Police Chief Darryl Forte tweeted early on they had a female suspect in custody. Police also said they were not looking for any other suspects.

According to police, a woman in her 60s answered a knock at her door and a man who she didn't know asked for someone the woman had never heard of. When she told him he had the wrong house, the man reportedly forced his way inside.

Once inside, the woman told police the man sexually assaulted her.

After the attack, police said the woman claimed the man started to leave the room and she was able to get a hold of a gun she had and shoot the intruder.
