O'Keefe Response: NYT Exec Editor Calls Him "despicable," Says Veritas Videos, "damaging"

A People Without Honor

Back in my days as a graduate student at the University of South Carolina, I and some fellow graduate students were involved tangentially, very tangentially, in the great Confederate flag debate in Columbia, SC.  During the 1990s the  Confederate flag flew over the capitol in Columbia, SC.

Various civil rights groups began to snipe at the flag, viewing it as a symbol of oppression, and demanding its removal from the capitol.   Not all folks associated with the civil rights movement held this view.  Andrew Young for one saw any debate over Confederate symbols as a great distraction from addressing the very real problems of violent crime, drug use, and failing schools afflicting African-Americans.  The majority of African Americans surveyed at the time cared not a whit for Johnny Reb’s flag one way or the other.  But after a long decade of agitation and supportive media coverage the Left was able to effect the flag’s removal from the Capitol.

A great compromise, or more accurately a series of compromises were struck from 1990 to 2000 whereby a monument to the contributions of African-Americans to the state of South Carolina was placed on state house grounds, the Confederate naval jack came down from the Capitol building, and a Confederate flag was placed next to the Confederate soldier monument on state house grounds.  Like all compromises, none of us were completely happy with the outcome on  either side of the issue, but compromises by their nature are things with which we can live.  And those of us who had fought for the flag in print and word could, at the end of the day, live with this one. We are Americans after all, and one of the cultural traits of Americans is our genius for compromise.

Not so the Left.

FBI Finds 30 Pages of Clinton-Lynch Tarmac Meeting Documents – Wants Six Weeks to Turn Over Docs

http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/imgLib/20131217_JudicialWatchlogo3.jpg

Judicial Watch was informed yesterday by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) that the FBI has located 30 pages of documents related to the June 27, 2016, tarmac meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton, and proposes non-exempt material be produced no later than November 30, 2017 (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:16-cv-02046)).

The new documents are being sent to Judicial Watch in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the Justice Department failed to comply with a July 7, 2016, FOIA request seeking the following:
  • All FD-302 forms prepared pursuant to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server during her tenure.
  • All records of communications between any agent, employee, or representative of the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding, concerning, or related to the aforementioned investigation. This request includes, but is not limited to, any related communications with any official, employee, or representative of the Department of Justice, the Executive Office of the President, the Democratic National Committee, and/or the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.
  • All records related to the meeting between Attorney General Lynch and former President Bill Clinton on June 27, 2016.
The FBI originally informed Judicial Watch they did not locate any records related to the tarmac meeting.

What Happens in Vegas Doesn't Stay in Reno

Via John

As readers know, I have a low regard for conspiracy theories, mainly because the reasons the world is going to hell are pretty much staring us in the face. But I can't honestly blame anyone following the Las Vegas massacre story from taking refuge in any conspiracy theory, no matter how wild and zany.

Almost a fortnight from the moment when 58 people were gunned down at a country-music festival, officialdom has so bungled the case that almost every single one of the most basic facts about the act are up for grabs.

As I had cause to remark over a week ago, I dislike the contamination of police press conferences by various politicians and bureaucrats all indulging in an orgy of mutual self-congratulation. But, in this case, the self-congratulation is entirely unwarranted. From the beginning this seemed an unusual crime that didn't seem to line up with any other mass shooting by a nutter who flips. It has only gotten weirder in the days since.

Reply to: Trump's lack of decorum, dignity, and statesmanship

 https://burstupdates.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/burstupdates-make-america-great-trump-poster.jpg?w=594&h=462

My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.”

Here’s my answer:

We right-thinking people have tried dignity.  There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency.

We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as Ronald Reagan?

We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney?

And the results were always the same. This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky.

I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about Barack Obama’s lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order to ramp up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic Party. I don’t see anything “dignified” in lying about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover your tracks. I don’t see anything “statesman-like” in weaponizing the IRS to be used to destroy your political opponents and any dissent. Yes, Obama was “articulate” and “polished” but in no way was he in the least bit “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper.”

The Left has been engaged in a war against America since the rise of the Children of the ‘60s. To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred and nothing is seen as beyond the pale. It has been a war they’ve fought with violence, the threat of violence, demagoguery and lies from day one – the violent take-over of the universities – till today. The problem is that, through these years, the Left has been the only side fighting this war. While the Left has been taking a knife to anyone who stands in their way, the Right has continued to act with dignity, collegiality and propriety. With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end. Donald Trump is America ’s first wartime president in the Culture War.

During wartime, things like “dignity” and “collegiality” simply aren’t the most essential qualities one looks for in their warriors. Ulysses Grant was a drunk whose behavior in peacetime might well have seen him drummed out of the Army for conduct unbecoming. Had Abraham Lincoln applied the peacetime rules of propriety and booted Grant, the Democrats might well still be holding their slaves today. Lincoln rightly recognized that, “I cannot spare this man. He fights.”

General George Patton was a vulgar-talking, son-of-a-bitch. In peacetime, this might have seen him stripped of rank. But, had Franklin Roosevelt applied the normal rules of decorum then, Hitler and the Socialists would barely be five decades into their thousand-year Reich.

Trump is fighting. And what’s particularly delicious is that, like Patton standing over the battlefield as his tanks obliterated Rommel’s, he’s shouting, “You magnificent bastards, I read your book!”

That is just the icing on the cake, but it’s wonderful to see that not only is Trump fighting, he’s defeating the Left using their own nasty tactics. That book is Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – a book so essential to the Liberals’ war against America that it is and was the playbook for the entire Obama administration and the subject of Hillary Clinton’s senior thesis. It is a book of such pure evil, that, just as the rest of us would dedicate our book to those we most love or those to whom we are most indebted, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer; aka "The Devil."

Trump’s tweets may seem rash and unconsidered but, in reality, he is doing exactly what Alinsky suggested his followers do. First, instead of going after “the fake media” — and they are so fake that they have literally gotten every single significant story of the past 60 years not just wrong, but diametrically opposed to the truth, from the Tet Offensive to Benghazi, to what really happened on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri — Trump has isolated CNN. He has made it personal.

Then, just as Alinsky suggests, he employs ridicule which Alinsky described as “the most powerful weapon of all.” ... Most importantly, Trump’s tweets have put CNN in an untenable and unwinnable position. ... They need to respond. This leaves them with only two choices. They can either “go high” (as Hillary would disingenuously declare of herself and the fake news would disingenuously report as the truth) and begin to honestly and accurately report the news or they can double-down on their usual tactics and hope to defeat Trump with twice their usual hysteria and demagoguery. The problem for CNN (et al.) with the former is that, if they were to start honestly reporting the news, that would be the end of the Democratic Party they serve.

It is nothing but the incessant use of fake news (read: "propaganda") that keeps the unabashedly repressive Left alive. Imagine, for example, if CNN had honestly and accurately reported then-candidate Barack Obama’s close ties to foreign terrorists (Rashid Khalidi), domestic terrorists (William Ayers), the mafia (Tony Rezko) or the true evils of his spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright’s church. Imagine if they had honestly and accurately conveyed the evils of the Obama administration’s weaponization of the IRS to be used against their political opponents or his running of guns to the Mexican cartels or the truth about the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Obama administration’s cover-up.  So, to my friends on the Left — and the #NeverTrumpers as well — do I wish we lived in a time when our president could be “collegial” and “dignified” and “proper”? Of course I do. These aren’t those times. This is war. And it’s a war that the Left has been fighting without opposition for the past 50 years. So, say anything you want about this president - I get it - he can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times. I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights.

Although the Las Vegas shooting has sparked calls among the liberal media to repeal the Second Amendment, a new poll shows most Americans support the right to bear arms.

An Ipsos poll found that 73 percent of respondents “have no problem with people owning guns.”

Despite Democratic proposals that emerged almost immediately after the Las Vegas shooting to restrict gun ownership and continued anti-gun rhetoric, the poll found that a majority still believes the positives of gun ownership outweigh the negatives.

America Fights Back: Record Number of Patriotic Cord-Cutters Tumble TV Stocks

 CNN protest

There is only one way — one! — to finally and forever destroy Hollywood and much of the mainstream media. You have to cut your cable or satellite cord. You have to cancel your pay TV package. The one-legged stool propping up ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, Disney, MTV, and the entire Tinseltown crime syndicate is you paying for cable TV.

If you want to know how this scam works, read all about it here.

If you want to know what do to after you cut the cord for America, read all about it here.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but there is no single act any American can perform that will do more damage to the institutional left than to cut your cable/satellite cord. So please do so today. If that sounds like hyperbole, look at the recent news, look at what cord-cutting is already doing to Hollywood:

The Jessica Chambers murder trial

Via Greg

Tellis, left, is charged in the 2014 murder of Jessica Chambers in Mississippi.
Chambers and Tellis rode around in her car for a while that morning before Chambers dropped off Tellis at his house and she went home to take a nap, prosecutors said. Chambers then picked up Tellis at about 5:30 p.m. and they went to a fast-food restaurant, Champion said.
Citing statements Tellis made to investigators, Champion said Tellis and Chambers had sex in her car later that evening. Champion said he believes Tellis suffocated Chambers and thought he had killed her.
Tellis then drove Chambers' car with her inside it to the back road, ran to his sister's house nearby, jumped in his sister's car, stopped to pick up gasoline from a shed at his house and torched Chamber while she was in her car, Champion said.

Girl, 17, Suffers Three Sex Attacks in One Hour on Walk Home

A 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on three separate occasions by up to five men in the space of an hour on her walk home, Metropolitan Police have said.

The Met believes the victim was attacked three times between around 23:55 hrs on Friday, September 29th, up to around 00:55 hrs on Saturday, September 30th, after she became separated from her friends after visiting a nightclub in Tower Hamlets, East London.

Two of the three assaults are considered “very serious sexual assaults”. Detectives said it is possible she was drugged, and investigators are carrying out toxicology tests.

She was trying to get home to central London when she was attacked in quick succession by suspects designated by police as 1, 2, and 3. So far, police have only been able to obtain clear CCTV footage of suspects 2 and 3; footage of suspect 1 is of too poor quality to be released, but he was described as wearing dark clothing.

Will We?

 TL Davis: American Exceptionalism
 Pictures: 7th NC PATCON

Christian Mercenary

What appears to be chaos is not. The casual observer might not understand why millionaires playing a game are willing to attack and insult the people who fund their sport and spend big money to see them play. They might not understand why people protest and try to shut down free speech under the guise of being anti-fascist. They might not understand why people who claim to honor women and support them keep silent when they know they are being abused, assaulted and raped. They may not understand why homosexuals support Islam when the dictates of the Quoran call for the extermination of homosexuals.

The truth is actually very simple and clear. There is no such thing as the Democrat Party, it has been taken over by hard-core communists. Anyone paying attention during the last Democratic National Convention would have seen it in the Soviet flags that flew freely in the crowd and where there were almost no United States flags until after that obvious statement of their true beliefs. The next night, there were a lot of United States flags, but that was a PR move to quell criticism, because traditional Democrats haven't quite bought into the program. It is no secret, in fact it is in his book, that Barack Obama considered himself a Marxist right up until the time that he took the oath of office, but then that was just an editing procedure covered completely by the communist press.

None of this is designed as a put down, the Republican Party has plenty of communists in its own ranks, but they are just less self-aware than the Democrats. From an objective point of view, there is very little of the traditional Constitutional republic left of our nation. The government controls industry through the EPA, OSHA, labor laws, DHS, Commerce, the ACA, etc. Just because the government doesn't own the means of production doesn't mean that it hasn't encumbered industry to the point of control. They can destroy whole industries with one regulation, as Barack Obama proved through rules enacted by the EPA to destroy the coal industry. It took effect too late in his presidency for a complete destruction, but had Hillary been elected it would have ended it for good. Hillary stated this intent with the political acumen she is known for before the election. But, you see, she thought the fix was in and she didn't have to worry about the "fly-over people."

What seems like chaos, is really the end game. The deep state has enough power; the FBI and the CIA are corrupt enough now; the college students have been indoctrinated enough; there are enough communist-leaning illegal aliens to swing elections that they are sure that they can come right after the football crowd, the traditional American citizens who don't pay a lot of attention to politics, but get their social fix through association with sports teams.

What the communists are looking for are points of conflict, those small divisions between us that they can exploit to make those social divisions a reason and excuse to foment hate. They need to drive one side to the furthest extreme in order to push the other side to violence. They even use violence to push the other side to proactively defend themselves with violence. None of this is new, this is how the communists have taken power in numerous countries in the past and the playbook is being run here and now. The more they can get us to focus on one issue rather than the big picture, the easier it is for them to succeed. So, that is what they are doing, it is what Barack Obama did and the more egregious the offense, the closer they can push the single-issue people to the breaking point.

The point is not that one shouldn't be upset by the individual issues, the outrageous and the infuriating, but Black Lives Matter and Planned Parenthood are the same things; anti-American athletes and Antifa are the same things; boys using the girl's bathrooms and girls in the Boy Scouts are the same things. They are all designed to drive one group away from the other and characterize them as "evil." This is the language of genocide, it is the process of breaking down the barriers to physical confrontation in the civilized mind. It starts with disarming the "evil" ones, which translates to those who believe in individual liberties secured by the Constitution. They cannot establish a communist nation with a bunch of heavily armed individuals who will resist that final pronouncement. This is why the Second Amendment needs to be defended against any and all infringements from now until the end of time, because once that is gone, the communists will be free to prosecute their murderous agenda.

The bad news for the communists in America is that they have spent one hundred years struggling to achieve their successes and the Constitutional republic hasn't even begun to fight. The only real question is will we?

Gowdy Wonders If Democrats Are ‘Fearful’ Trump Dossier Is ‘A Piece Of Fiction’

 Trey Gowdy (Getty Images)

Democrats are “fearful” that the Trump dossier is “a piece of fiction,” one that the FBI used to form the basis of its investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government.

That’s one theory that South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy is proposing for why Democrats are pushing back so hard against a GOP effort to get answers about the dossier from the FBI and Justice Department.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, the House Intelligence Committee member addressed claims from his Democratic colleagues and some in the media that he and his fellow Republicans are attempting to discredit the dossier and its author, former British spy Christopher Steele, in order to help Trump.

Lousiana Cops Boycott Ford Over Support For Kneeling NFL Players

Via Richard

http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/images/user3303/imageroot/2017/10/12/20171012_lou.jpg

In a perfectly ironic twist, just days after Jamele Hill urged Americans to protest Jerry Jones decision to make his players stand by 'hitting him in the wallet' and boycotting his sponsors, a Louisiana sheriff's office that is boycotting Ford over the automaker's decision to support NFL players' right to peacefully protest during the national anthem.

As a reminder, earlier in the week NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell flip-flopped from his original anti-Trump stance, issuing a statement that:
"We believe that everyone should stand for the National Anthem...  We also care deeply about our players and respect their opinions and concerns about critical social issues."
But Ford - ever ready to signal its virtue loud and proud - issued a statement that it:
Ford "respects individuals' rights to express their views, even if they are not ones we share. That's part of what makes America great."
That weasly statement appears to have been the last straw for Sheriff Julian Whittington of the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office said in a letter to the its dealership, Hixson Ford of Alexandria, that it would no longer buy the company's police vehicles.

Phoenix Idiot Voluntarily Turns Over Guns to Police in Wake of Shooting

A Phoenix man has voluntarily turned over his guns to police in the wake of the shooting in Las Vegas.

Jonathan Pring, who is originally from England but moved to Phoenix 10 years ago, believes it’s time that we take a hard look at gun culture in America.

“Americans more than other nationalities really love their guns,” Pring told AZCentral. “I think we just need to change the dynamic a little bit because the facts are the facts. More people die from gun-related injuries in the U.S. than any other country.”

NY Times Op-Ed: ‘It’s time to talk about taking away guns’

 https://i.pinimg.com/originals/cb/be/05/cbbe05a14636caff6870995cd02c88c5.jpg

It’s time to talk about confiscation, at least according to Andrew Rosenthal of the NY Times.

In an op-ed Wednesday, Rosenthal wrote, “It’s time to talk about taking away guns — not everyone’s guns and not all of them, but a whole lot. I know I am inviting enormous vitriol with that sentence, but it has to be said.”

I appreciate Rosenthal’s honesty on the matter.  I really do. Because too often gun control advocates stop short of telling us how they really feel about confiscation. Why do they stop short?  Two reasons.

First, it’s a political nonstarter. Were the government to actively start going door to door to seize weapons from the American people we’d have a civil war on our hands.  No one wants a civil war, especially the side with no guns.
