How to avoid getting trapped in FEMA camps

I wrote a news story recently called “How technology will send you to hell in the FEMA camps” It was wildly popular and raised the question in my mind, “How do I prevent my family from going to the camps?”

The first thing is to know what to expect before hand. While people think about the dollar dropping to nothing, or an Obama re-election, you need to consider the most pressing signs of a pending martial law.

How pending?

About 15 minutes or less away from being put into a bus.

Now there are people who would look forward to 3 hots and a cot. And there are some who would actively encourage you to go to the camps. There was an article that said that social services folks are encourage self-sufficient people to use food stamps, and that the self-sufficient mentallity was preventing more people from being on food stamps.

But we aren’t those people. We are the kinds that enjoy freedom.

So what do we look for?

Using the backbone of a military operation, you must make the enemy (that would be you) deaf, dumb, and blind.

What does that mean? It means you must be blind: Not knowing what to expect, how many men are in the operation, and what your final destination will be. This means that the operation will most likely take place in the middle of the night. When they roll up, mega watt lights will be shone onto the neighborhood. This disorientates you as well as illuminate your home for movement. This also means the power to your block will be secured. Depending on the size of the town, perhaps several blocks at once. That would be a good thing. Read on…

Deaf means that you won’t know what is going on. Loud noises, such as bullhorns shouting orders, diesel engines running, and people yelling at you to go here or there. It also means you won’t be able to receive texts or cell phone service.

Dumb, or mute, means you won’t be able to call anyone, tweet, post a Facebook update, send an email of warning. Imagine if the events took place in Chicago. How quick would such a warning get spread all over Facebook or Twitter. It would “trends” quickly and the element of surprise would be gone.

Making you deaf and dumb is as simple as securing the internet with the Internet Kill Switch. That ends Facebook, Twitter, and Email.

And all you have to do to secure the cell phone or land-line service is to have the US military show up at the local phone office and have them secure all lines in the place. Turning the power off would be as effective as cutting lines, but once power is restored you could have normal service. Infrastructure would be maintained.

Your neighborhood is now deaf, dumb, and blind.

So after a roughly twenty year period of economic and social decline, we have what was basically a twenty year period where a country was in a total state of war, economic collapse, depression and dysfunction. A messy war with no boundaries or clear enemy, caused by outside forces, political corruption and mismanagement. Caught in the middle were a peaceful people, largely of rural background, forced to find a way to survive a situation that quickly became desperate and deadly. Their ancestral farms and homesteads were attacked and burned. Local currency became worthless. Food was scarce. Resources were taken and consumed by the armies leaving little to nothing for civilians. Civilians became the targets of the new power structure, controlled by the ruthless and lawless armies.

A grassroots fighting force of hunters and family men rose as the only effective resistance force. They were effective because through their hunter/warrior culture and vigilance they were more prepared than others to defend their communities and way of life. These irregulars were the Minutemen of their time. If they had not been trained and organized ahead of time they would have been decimated early on and would not have had the strength to raise a defense later on. The Kamajor fighters were prepared from the beginning and when the SHTF they did what they were prepared to do without hesitance.

The Fragility of a Republic

Following brief military service with Lucius Sulla and Gnaeus Pompeius Strabo, a singularly well-educated young man arrived in Rome in about 83 B.C. Well grounded in both the history and culture of Greece as well as his Arpinum and Roman heritage, he thirsted to be the best and “far to excel the others.” What he particularly thirsted for was honor and position in Republican Rome. In the next 40 years, he would almost single handedly hold the restored Republic together through his gift with words and his adroit political alliances. In the end even his adroitness could not overcome the lust for power by those with whom he sparred. As he fled the country for which he had dedicated his life, he was decapitated in 43 B.C. by assassins employed by those who feared his eloquence could not be bent to the emerging imperial rule.

Marcus Tullius Cicero was born in Arpinum, south of Rome, to a family of provincial importance but no Roman aristocratic connection. Once embarked on his quest, he would forever be hindered by being considered a “new man” by the Roman aristocracy and shunned by them until much later in his career. Perhaps with his strong background in stoicism and the Greek philosophers, he would have been attracted to speak for the mass of citizens in any case, but the absence of the possibility of aristocratic support, would make his advancement all the more dependent on the provincial tribes and a near thing each step up the ladder. He did, nevertheless, advance, and with his oratorical skill, he assumed rank at the earliest possible time: Senator in 79 B.C., Quaestor in Sicily in 75 B.C., Aedile in 69 B.C., Praetor 66 B.C., and Consul in 63 B.C.

These positions gave him direct familiarity with both the financial, judicial and administrative challenges of administering a republican state strained by strong class differences and imperial aspirations. It also required him to form, while always working for the best that could be achieved for the Roman people, partnerships with a never ending series of political allies and opponents, most whom were possessed of ambition at least as strong as his. Pompey, the great Roman general was beneficiary of his skill and traitor to his protection as were Julius Caesar, Crassus, a frequent opponent, Brutus, Mark Anthony and Octavian, later Augustus. As the republic slipped inevitably away, weakened by spilled blood and corrupted by unprincipled ambition, Cicero’s death became a milepost to mark its demise and the rise of the Second Triumvirate and Imperial rule.

This example in history is intended to make the point of the fragility of republican rule. Time has not changed man’s dual nature. Benjamin Franklin made the same point coming out of Independence Hall in A.D. 1789 as he told the crowd that they had been “given a republic if you can keep it!” John Adams added that our Constitution was made “for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”

We assume that because we have survived a nasty civil war that we can endure any threat to our union, but like Achilles at Troy, we are vulnerable. It is through that cleft as was foretold by both Mr. Adams and Mr. Franklin which the nasty virus enters and by which we can be felled. Carelessness in protecting our republican values will doom us. If we do not value our republic, we will surely loose our freedoms and our greatness. At present we are far too casual in protecting the bulwark of our liberty. Many of my readers take our status quo as assured and will even wonder what it is I am prattling on about.

It is no easy feat to maintain our liberties; Rome failed, and we could fail if we are not ever vigilant. Being vigilant does not simply mean being good people. I write often of our nation’s goodness. We are fierce competitors but have the biggest hearts of the entire world. We are only too ready to come to the aid of all those nations from which we sprang and from which we now continue to draw our renewal. Our vulnerable heel is the failure of each of the 310 million we now are to understand what it means to protect a republic and to teach the importance of individual freedom and personal responsibility to our next generation. We must continually acclaim successful efforts to keep the light of liberty alive in America. I fear that today Liberty is completely taken for granted.

Being republicans means we must juggle the demands that are common in any government, while not stepping on the banana peel that lurks right under our poised foot. It was no different in Roman times. Many of Cicero’s contemporaries were as attached to honor as was he. Many also sought to honorably serve the state as their calling, and a few of these even spoke movingly of Cicero’s honesty and ability, while, nevertheless, participating in authorizing the grisly deed that stilled his mighty voice.

Man cannot trust in man unaided to always do the right thing. We are, after all, human. It makes no difference, however, whether it is by intent or accident. Even the best intentioned can lead us down a road from whose shackles we cannot escape if we be not on guard. Thank heavens we have such a guiding hand. It is our sacred Constitution, the best governing charter devised by man. It is one which recognizes the peril and pits into which we can fall and gives us contending branches of government and uses our own human nature to assure too much power cannot be accumulated by one branch to nullify the others.

My fear is that public apathy built on ignorance, mass communication which sees larger percentages of our population receiving their knowledge of the world through fewer news organizations and the havoc that can be caused by weapons of mass destruction tilting that balanced mechanism in ways unhealthy for us all. In the face of the real danger to us all in which we live, our only defense is knowledge at the level of the individual citizen of what freedom means, what it costs, what sacrifices it requires and why that is important to the preservation of the way of life we all enjoy. Education and shared reverence for Liberty must be our cause. With them the individual political questions of what and how to serve our population will be revealed. Without them we are lost.

Despicable Collectivists

 

Instead of planning their own lives, central planners plan every other person’s life. They are meddlers. Unaccomplished at any other various skills, as we have seen with Barack Obama, they thrive on parasitic behaviors and controls that inflate their egos. It is what they live to do. They can’t leave well enough alone because leaving well enough alone would give them nothing to do.

They don’t know how to do anything else well enough to survive. Think about that. If you put Barack Obama on the street to fend for himself, what would he do? He’d hustle. He’d scam. He’d sell himself as a visionary. I doubt seriously if he could ever do anything as menial as flipping a burger or washing a dish. His ego would not let him, for one thing. He’d last about 5 minutes before throwing a fit about how beneath him those jobs might be.

He bowed as solemnly to a seven-year-old girl as he did to a seventy-year-old lady; he listened intently to fools; he kept wise men from stumbling when they forgot absently to step up at a curb.”

Ahmadinejad Says Israel Will be 'Eliminated'


Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday disregarded a U.N. warning to avoid incendiary rhetoric and declared ahead of the annual General Assembly session that Israel has no roots in the Middle East and would be "eliminated."

In remarks to reporters in New York, he also said he does not take seriously the threat that Israel could launch a military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities, denied sending arms into Syria, and called economic conditions in his sanctions-hit country "not as bad as they are portrayed."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted Israel could strike Iran's nuclear sites and has criticized U.S. President Barack Obama's position that sanctions and diplomacy should be given more time to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Iran denies that it is seeking nuclear arms and says its atomic work is peaceful, aimed at generating electricity.

"Fundamentally we do not take seriously the threats of the Zionists. ... We have all the defensive means at our disposal and we are ready to defend ourselves," Ahmadinejad said.

He is in New York to attend the U.N. General Assembly. His speech is scheduled for Wednesday.
On Sunday, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon met with Ahmadinejad and warned him of the dangers of incendiary rhetoric in the Middle East. Ahmadinejad did not heed the warning.

Ahmadinejad alluded to his previous rejection of Israel's right to exist. "Iran has been around for the last seven, 10 thousand years. They (the Israelis) have been occupying those territories for the last 60 to 70 years, with the support and force of the Westerners. They have no roots there in history," he said, speaking to reporters through an interpreter.

The modern state of Israel was founded in 1948.

I saw Clint Eastwood's latest film, "Trouble With the Curve" this weekend, which I highly recommend, especially to baseball fans like Lew Rockwell. Preceding the movie was the "trailer" for the upcoming Spielberg movie on Lincoln (out Nov. 16) based on a  book by the confessed plagiarist Doris Kearns-Goodwin. It's probably less than a minute long, but it contained these words, spoken to Abe, by his wife (paraphrasing from memory): "You are beloved by all the people more than anyone else in history."
Contrast this with the writings of historian Larry Tagg, author of The Unpopular Mr. Lincoln: America's Most Reviled President  (with an endorsement by Lincoln cultist Harold Holzer on the back cover) published just a few years ago:

"The violence of the criticism aimed at Lincoln by the great men of his time on both sides of the Mason-Dixon line is startling. The breadth and depth of the spectacular prejudice against him is often shocking for its cruelty, intensity, and unrelenting vigor. The plain truth is that Mr. Lincoln was deeply reviled by many who knew him personally, and by hundreds of thousands who only knew of him."

Larry Tagg documents how the New York Times editorialized in May of 1864 that Lincoln had been justifiably labeled as "a perjurer, a usurper, a tyrant, a subverter of the Constitution, a destroyer of the liberties of his country, a reckless desperado, a heartless trifler . . ." and intoned that there is no place in hell "that is full enough of torment to expiate his iniquities."

I have no problem with any race thinking well of themselves and wanting to promote the traditional practices of their race, country, State or locality. This is just as true for Southerner's such as Virginian's, Georgian's and Carolinian's as it is for German's . . . for Scotts . . . for the Swiss . . . for the Irish, etc.  But when the term racism becomes a pejorative judgemental term (always for political reasons), the gentlemanly academic discussion has ended and the hateful Marxist judgemental mentality and bickering can then serve as a political distraction and rule the day. This bickering is a triple loss. FIRST "racism" is used as a distraction from the massive nature of USA fascism. It works like the slight-of-hand artist through diversion and substitution to trick our attention span, and its works remarkably well.
 
This alone is reason to wish a pox on their houses. This has turned the black community into a pawn for American Marxists and is a cowardly and innately racist way for Democrat Marxist to promote their use of political power. SECOND, the government uses minorities to make them think that the government needs more power in order to guarantee their safety and general welfare, so they play one group against another group for political gains in power. THIRD, there is no real dialog about the cultures and people involved, as a result the government uses "race" to create chaos and hatred in a manner that promotes intolerance and destroys true diversity. Diversity now means sameness.
 
When someone is stupid enough, I mean ungentlemanly enough, to let me know that they think I am a "racist" I can justifiably think of them as an idiot, imbecile or social moron. (In the South "ungentlemanly" has meant "unGodly.") AND it is never profitable to argue with idiots. They have no learning curve. The more accusative they become, the more certain I am that they will not respond to intelligent dialog and reasoning. The Southern gentleman has no natural proclivity for such stupidity and does not seek an opportunity to go about correcting the idiots in society or even try to educate them. Wise men seek the company of other wise men. This is why Dr. Clyde Wilson says he has no burden to educate yankee's about the Southern point of view. It is a waste of our wiser life's forces to do so. Most Southerner's are far too gentlemanly for "those folks" to ever understand.
 
By the way, it is the Marxist way to tell folks that first all a country needs is just the right education, meaning a government controlled Marxist indoctrination, and just the right laws and everyone will get along great and have jobs and great health care and less need of health care. Then second what the country needs is just the right laws (Marxist laws, of course) establishing all of our freedoms and utopia will reign. (The former Soviet Union had more laws guaranteeing the rights of communists than did the USA.) What the Marxist excludes is an understanding of the fallen SPIRITUAL nature of man and the need of mankind for repentance and God's concept of righteousness through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Marxism is the way of the ungodly.
 
Stereotypes are formed by personal or corporate experiences and events that have proved themselves useful for our own relationships in the future. I have a number of stereotypes that may not be shared by other people, and I am both delighted and pleased when such a stereotype in found to not apply, while other stereotypes are positive and make me comfortable and feel at home.
 
You see, freedom and liberty can be VERY SLOPPY and even stink at times. BUT the stink of freedom on its worse day under the worst of conditions smells like sweet petunias when compared to Marxism on its best day, and it is far superior to the stench of the immoral morass of Marxist global social engineers and engineering that are seeking to establish the "everyone-is-the-same" society of nonthinking droids. The Marxist droid must use and control other people to achieve his own purpose. Democrat Marxism is in inherently a sociopathology.
 
Hollywood immoral morons need each other in the same way the pathological manipulators of the political media need each other. Alone they fall apart and are soon seen for the death-dealing menace they truly are to freedom and liberty. The free man is not so needy and that alone is a serious threat to political manipulators, because the free man DOES NOT NEED the government addressing the way he thinks and the manner in which he will live his life and think and treat others. Free thinking people are always seen as inherently a threat in a statist totalitarian society while the less respected "needy souls" are seen as cogs in the banking-industrial material matrix to be used for the exercise of raw power for its own sake and political gain.
 
I am complimented by their attacks on me and other successful folks. The ultimate purpose of their attack is to drag you down the same rat hole where they live. They want you to become dependent upon them! This makes them feel superior and yet they appear to be VERY NEEDY to the rest of us, not needy like needing some of my income, but needy like needing a shrink.
 
The more needy an individual is the more inviting he becomes to the predator politicians who "have a dream" they want to impose on others. The rightful commission and the directions for their public service are found in the Constitution and their job is to enforce the limit on their constitutional responsibilities. When a person has a political dream they wish to impose on society, the more dangerous they are. The Constitution of the United States of America was the wish, the dream, of those who established the short lived republic of the United States of America. Free people do not give a flip about other peoples dream for how they will live their lives.
 
It is difficult to persuade the truly free thinking man to feel that he needs more government control in his life, but the more needy individuals readily and willingly become easy prey for the unscrupulous political predators and cruel and bogu humanitarians. Once government dependency can be established in a community the LESS LIKELY it is that the community will hold the government accountable!!! The USA has not been accountable since 1865 though the South gave its all to hold their feet to the fire of constitutional responsibility.

I am the Commander-in-Chief of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. We are an organization, chartered in 1896 by veterans of the War for Southern Independence for the purpose of promoting the true history and principles of the Confederate soldiers’ cause. On behalf of our 31,000 members I write you today to express our deep sadness and concern over your present stance toward our venerable banner of the South. Your use of the flag in a manner that is up lifting and not aligned with any form of hate has been a stalwart defense of the flag’s true symbolism for many years. 

We appreciate and applaud your past efforts on behalf of our common ancestors.
Our biggest concern comes from your statement on the 8th of September 2012 to CNN. You disclosed, “But I think through the years, you know, people like the KKK and Skinheads and people have kind of kidnapped the dixie rebel flag from the southern tradition and the heritage of the soldiers.” Sir, our ancestors wrote the definition of that flag with their blood and when they furled the flag at the last battle they tucked their God-given liberty inside. The KKK and the Skinheads do not define our flag any more than the NAACP or any other hate group.

I am sure you do not agree with their hateful views of our flag, therefore I must ask you, who will stand up for the TRUTH, if not you and if not me? The answer is no one and without us the truth will be buried with the American Confederate flag. That is why we must not capitulate to their nancy demands.

Like many men in my organization, your music has been the soundtrack of my life. Your songs have helped define my own identity and Southernness. I have been a fan from the beginning. I was at the second to the last concert of the original band in Johnson City, Tennessee. All my best friends were at the Greenville, South Carolina concert a few days later. Then, our lives were changed forever—some much more than others. We have always been there for you. Your fans have not let you down. Do not let us down.
My fear is that you are living the song, WORKING FOR THE MCA and that Lynyrd Skynyrd has become the subject of a re-branding effort that hopes to make a kinder, gentler Lynyrd Skynyrd. I worked in the ad world for twenty years; re-branding’s not what we need. We need the honest and courageous Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Elizabeth Warren’s law license problem

Maintained private law practice at Cambridge office for over a decade but not licensed in Massachusetts.

The debate last Thursday night between Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren covered ground mostly known to voters.

But there was one subject most people watching probably did not know about, Elizabeth Warren’s private legal representation of The Travelers Insurance Company in an asbestos-related case.
Brown brought the point up late in the debate, and hammered it:


Warren attempted to deny her role, and referred to a Boston Globe article, but the Globe article supports Brown’s account.  The Globe article indicated the representation was for a period of three years and Warren was paid $212,000.  The case resulted in a Supreme Court victory for Travelers arising out of a bankruptcy case in New York.

Whatever the political implications of the exchange, Warren’s representation of Travelers raises another big potential problem for Warren.

Warren represented not just Travelers, but numerous other companies starting in the late 1990s working out of and using her Harvard Law School office in Cambridge, which she listed as her office of record on briefs filed with various courts.  Warren, however, never has been licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

CBO: Electric Cars Are A Waste Of Money

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) did a good job of shredding the electric car industry and the government’s role in its evolution with this report (Link). I’m not knocking electric cars, I’m knocking DC’s role in this industry. Washington has provided the loot necessary for research on battery design, it has committed to up to $25Bn of soft loans to the auto industry and it is subsidizing every electric car that is sold. Without the massive support from our “rich” Uncle Sam there would be no electric car industry in the USA. The question is, “Is this money well spent?” (Duh.)

Exclusive: Former Soviet-bloc spy chief reveals secret puppet-master behind Islamic radicalism


Editor’s note: Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa is the highest-ranking Soviet-bloc official ever to defect to the West. In December 1989, Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu was executed at the end of a trial whose accusations came almost word-for-word out of Pacepa’s book, “Red Horizons,” subsequently republished in 27 countries.
After President Carter approved his request for political asylum, Pacepa became an American citizen and worked with U.S. intelligence agencies against the former Eastern Bloc. The CIA has praised Pacepa’s cooperation for providing “an important and unique contribution to the United States.” His new book, “Disinformation,” co-authored with professor Ronald Rychlak, will be published by WND Books in 2013.

The view that the latest wave of Muslim outrage worldwide, including the murderous assault on the U.S. embassy in Libya and new threats from Iran, is somehow a “spontaneous” reaction to the low-budget film “Innocence of Muslims,” has been revealed to be political naïveté at best, and ignorant or intentional scapegoating at worst.

After all, even the president of Libya, Yousef El-Magariaf, stated that “no doubt” the attack had been “preplanned,” emphasizing that the terrorists had chosen a “specific date for this so-called demonstration.”

However, the day of our ambassador’s murder, Sept. 11, 2012, also happened to be the very day the Kremlin celebrated a significant anniversary – 125 years since the birth of Feliks Dzerzhinsky, the founder of the KGB, now rechristened FSB.

My past experience at the top of the Soviet bloc intelligence community gives me solid ground to state that the Muslim attacks on U.S. embassies and the assassination of our ambassador to Libya, carried out with Soviet-made rocket-propelled grenades, Kalashnikovs and Molotov cocktails, were just as “spontaneous” as the May Day parades in Moscow – and that they have the same organizers.
