ANALYSIS: Constitution Compels Sessions Dismiss Mueller From Non-Campaign Cases

Via comment by Badger

Paul Manafort‘s legal team brought a motion to dismiss on Tuesday, notingthat Rosenstein could not appoint Mueller to any investigation outside the scope of the 2016 campaign since Sessions did not recuse himself for anything outside the campaign. I agree with this take on Mueller’s authority. If we follow that argument that would mean Sessions himself has exclusive authority to appoint a special counsel for non-collusion charges, and Sessions has taken no such action. Sessions himself should make that clear to Mueller, rather than await court resolution. Doing so would remove three of the four areas of inquiry from Mueller’s requested interview with President Trump.

Mueller should probe the Clintons’ $152 million–plus in payoffs

Strolling one afternoon near Manhattan’s Sixth Avenue and West 34th Street, I spotted two tourists with their faces nestled in a map. They looked hopelessly lost.

“Can I help you?” I asked.

Thoroughly flummoxed, they pleaded, “Where’s the Empire State Building?”

I pointed straight up, one block east, and said: “It’s right there!”

Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team resemble those hapless travelers. They scour their visitors’ guide in vain for any trace of Team Trump’s alleged Russian collusion. Meanwhile, just steps away, the Clintons’ Russian-collusion skyscraper soars into the clouds.

Haley: US won't fund more than 25 percent of UN peacekeeping budget

Image result for Haley: US won't fund more than 25 percent of UN peacekeeping budget

The United States will no longer provide more than a quarter of the funding for the United Nations’s peacekeeping efforts, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley told the organization Wednesday.

“The United States has long been the largest financial contributor to U.N. peacekeeping by far. That will not change,” Haley said.

But Haley cautioned that “peacekeeping is a shared responsibility."

“With shared responsibility comes shared burdens and shared costs. One country should not shoulder more than one-quarter of the U.N. peacekeeping budget.”

As a result, she said, the U.S. will not pay more than 25 percent of the U.N. peacekeeping budget moving forward. The U.S. will work with other members of the organization to ensure the budgetary changes are made in a “fair and sensible manner.”

Generally speaking, conservative Americans don’t particularly care to hear Europeans weigh in with their opinions on our Second Amendment and gun laws, but an Italian woman recently stated something so simple yet profound that it simply must be shared.

“Americans, I’m watching the #GunControl protests from Italy,” tweeted a user by the name of Redeemed Goddaughter.

“Take a European’s advice: Last century our governments disarmed us. Now, in Germany & the UK they arrest you for Twitter & FB posts. Lesson?

“If the gov’t takes your 2nd Amendment, one day it’ll take your 1st,” she concluded.

John Stossel: Why so many are 'taking the red pill'

Via Iver

In the movie “The Matrix,” swallowing a red pill reveals the truth, while downing a blue pill leaves you trapped in illusion.

Today, in the parlance of some political activists, “taking the red pill” means seeing the lies of mainstream media -- and learning the truth.

“People don't care to watch CNN anymore: People pay attention to YouTubers,” says Candace Owens. Owens is a young black woman who created a YouTube site she calls Red Pill Black. “My second video went trending worldwide with 80 million views.”

My new internet videos sometimes reach 10 million people; I consider that a lot. This woman’s video reached 80 million?

In the wake of the “March For Our Lives” rally Saturday, and with no legislative appetite for more gun control laws, Democrats in both the House and Senate have introduced a bill requiring background checks for purchasing bullets.

“You do not have the right to bear bullets,” said Congresswoman and former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz at a press conference Monday announcing the introduction of a bill that would require instant background checks to purchase ammunition.

Outrage as Concrete is Poured on World’s Oldest Known Temple at Göbekli Tepe

Archaeologists around the world have been left shocked and furious after the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry gave the go ahead for ‘conservation work’ at the ancient site of Göbekli Tepe, which has resulted in irreparable damage from heavy equipment and concrete being poured around the historically important.

Göbekli Tepe is an archaeological site located at the top of a mountain ridge in south-eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. Dating back at least 12,000 years, it is home to the oldest known temple in the world, comprised of numerous megalithic pillars weighing between 40 and 60 tonnes and T-shaped stelas with intricate depictions of bulls, snakes, foxes, lions and other animals carved into the stone.
