House Quietly Passes Bill Targeting "Russian Propaganda" Websites

Via Terry

On November 30, one week after the Washington Post launched its witch hunt against "Russian propaganda fake news", with 390 votes for, the House quietly passed "H.R. 6393, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017", sponsored by California Republican Devin Nunes (whose third largest donor in 2016 is Google parent Alphabet, Inc), a bill which deals with a number of intelligence-related issues, including Russian propaganda, or what the government calls propaganda, and hints at a potential crackdown on "offenders."

A quick skim of the bill reveals "Title V—Matters relating to foreign countries",  whose Section 501 calls for the government to "counter active measures by Russia to exert covert influence … carried out in  coordination with, or at the behest of, political leaders or the security services of the Russian Federation and the role of the Russian Federation has been hidden or not acknowledged publicly.”

The section lists the following definitions of media manipulation:

46 U.S. companies join anti-Trump Breitbart blacklist

Leftist plot to attack top advertisers, blame 'fake news' for president-elect's win
A Donald Trump-hating Twitter user – who is too scared to reveal his true identity because he says he fears backlash from Trump supporters – is attempting to destroy a leading conservative news site with a coordinated campaign attacking its advertisers and claiming it’s “racist.”

The anonymous Twitter user, known as Sleeping Giants, is attempting to take down Breitbart News. It takes screenshots of advertisements on Breitbart and then harasses companies that own the ads, demanding that they blacklist the news site.

And several high-profile U.S. companies are taking the bait.

Ironically, while Sleeping Giants accuses Breitbart of being a “racist” site, the Twitter account features raised black fists that resemble those used in 1969 posters of the Black Panther Party. A similar fist, though typically white, was used to symbolize white power, and another red version represented leftist Autonnomist Marxism.

Texas Gov: Sanctuary Campuses Will Lose State Funding

Texas Governor Greg Abbott speaks at Dallas

Texas Gov. Greg Abbot says the state will cut off funding to any public school that declares itself a “sanctuary campus” for illegal immigrants.

Abbot made the announcement Thursday via Twitter, in response to a petition effort in the state by students seeking to have their universities protect illegal immigrants. Abbott made it clear such a move wouldn’t fly in Texas.

If December 4 referendum fails >M5S comes to power > Italians vote to leave the euro > EU collapses

On December 4, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi’s current pro-EU government is holding a referendum on changing Italy’s constitution.

In effect, a “Yes” vote is a vote of approval for Renzi’s government.

A “No” vote is a chance for the average Italian to give the finger to EU bureaucrats in Brussels.
Given the intense anger Italians feel right now, it’s very likely they’ll do just that.

According to the latest polls, the “No” camp has 54% support and all of the momentum. Even prominent members of Renzi’s own party are defecting to the “No” side.

If the December 4 referendum fails, Renzi has promised to resign. Even if he doesn’t, the loss would politically castrate him. In all likelihood his government would collapse. (Italian governments have a short shelf life. There have been 63 since 1945. That’s almost a rate of a new government each year.)

Trump, backers ask courts to halt or block 3 state recounts

Election Recount Michigan

President-elect Donald Trump and his supporters went to court Friday to prevent or halt election recounts in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, less than two weeks before the states would have to complete the tasks to meet a federal deadline to certify their election results.

The legal actions seeking to block or halt the recounts in three states Trump narrowly won could cause delays that would make them extremely difficult or impossible to complete on time. Even if the recounts happen, though, none would be expected to give Democrat Hillary Clinton enough votes to emerge as the winner.

The recounts were requested by Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who says they're necessary to ensure that voting machines weren't hacked, even though there's no evidence that they were. Critics say Stein is simply trying to raise money and her political profile while building a donor database.

Hungarian village bans Muslims and liberals to 'STOP EU sending migrants

Village mayor and the signs banning Muslims from the village

The Mayor of Asotthalom Laszlo Toroczkai has unveiled a "preventative action package" of laws to make it clear that people worshiping Islam and left-wingers are not welcome.

The controversial plans are to ensure the village does not have to bow to the European Union’s mandatory migrant quotas.

The new rules, which were announced on the village council's social media page, contained a personal message from the mayor, which read: "Instead of looking for a scapegoat, I offer an immediate solution, a defence against the forced mass resettlement of migrants by Brussels.

Breaking: Michigan Attorney General Files Lawsuit To Stop Recount

This is just coming out via Politico, and it’s an interesting turn of events in the (ridiculous) election recount saga started by Jill Stein and endorsed by many Democrats and liberals.

“Michigan voters rejected Stein’s candidacy by massive margins but her refusal to accept that state-verified result poses an expensive and risky threat to hard-working taxpayers and abuses the intent of Michigan law,” Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, a Republican, said. “We have asked the court to end the recount which Stein is pursuing in violation of Michigan laws that protect the integrity of our elections. It is inexcusable for Stein to put Michigan voters at risk of paying millions and potentially losing their voice in the Electoral College in the process.”

Black Friday: NICS Checks Break 2015 Record

Black Friday was a huge day for gun sales in America.  It typically is the biggest day of the year in terms of sales and this year was no exception, as the available figures indicate it was record-breaking.

The FBI processed 185,713 background checks via the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, which is approximately 400 more than the number processed in 2015 (another record-breaking year), according to information obtained by Business Insider.

EU MIGRANT FALLOUT: Slovakia passes law to BAN Islam from being registered as a religion

Via Billy

SLOVAKIA has passed a law which will effectively ban Islam from gaining official status as a religion, in the latest signs of a growing anti-Muslim sentiment across Europe.

The legislation hints at a dramatic changing attitude towards the religion in the past year across the continent, which has struggled to stem the escalating migrant crisis.

The former communist state has fiercely resisted European Union (EU) efforts to cope with an influx of migrants travelling into Europe by turning its back on the bloc’s introduction of migrant quotas.
But prime minister Robert Fico's government has repeatedly said Islam has no place in Slovakia.
Attitudes toward the religion appear to reflect fear of so-called Islamisation.

Aging white population speeding diversity

Via Billy

The percentage of the U.S. population that is white has decreased from 79.6 percent in 1980 to 61.9 percent in 2014. The percentage of Latino-Americans has increased from 6.4 percent to 17.3 percent over the same time period, while both the African-American and Asian-American populations have grown, too.

There are growing signs that the rate of change is increasing. The number of non-Hispanic whites who died in 2014 outpaced the number of white births in 17 states, according to a new analysis from the University of New Hampshire. That’s the largest number of states to experience a natural decrease in the white population in American history.

NC Rep. Mark Meadows: House Conservatives Ready on Day One to Help Donald Trump" - Runs for Chairman of the Freedom Caucus

Via Mike

“Recognizing the role of Congress and the executive branch being two separate powers and also recognizing that with a new administration, we want to make it easier for them, so they don’t have to look under every rock and every crook and cranny to find potential overreaches by the executive branch,” says Rep. Mark Meadows (R.-N.C.). He’s launched a bid to become chairman of the Freedom Caucus as Rep. Jim Jordan is stepping aside.

“We started out with a hundred rules and regulations that we wanted to offer the new administration to be able to address on Day One–certainly within the first 100 days,” said the congressman, a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

“That list has now grown to 188,” he said.

With the list already at 188 economically damaging rules and regulations that could be overturned without legislation, the congressman said his colleagues at the House Freedom Caucus are confident they can reach 200 by the time Trump becomes the chief executive.

There is no question that regulations on the books are holding back America’s job growth and the economy, he said.
