Joe McCarthy wasn’t Wrong, Just Early

In my column last week, I made the comment, “Joe McCarthy wasn’t wrong, he was just early.” I was being flippant. I was trying to make light of the Democrat Party’s turn towards radical, extreme, Marxist, anti-American rhetoric.

I had no idea how right I really was.

I’m not being flippant anymore. Joe McCarthy would have a field day with today’s Democrat Party. He’d be a hero for defending America from evil, radical Marxist politicians posing as “Democrats.” We’d be giving him ticker tape parades.

McCarthy’s Senate committee was called “The House Un-American Activities Committee.” Let me ask you bluntly: How much more un-American can you get than the ideas espoused just in the past few days by Democrats?

First, I’ll start with the usual suspect- Ilhan Omar.

College Student: My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us

Via Martin

Destroying the free market will undo what millions of people have died to achieve.

We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it’s spreading like a plague.

I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of Democratic candidates calling for policies to “fix” the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.

I see people talking freely, working on their MacBooks, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we’ve become completely blind to it. Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose.

Brexit Party MEP candidate Claire Fox speaks by Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage during a candidate launch event for the European elections in central London yesterday

HUGE,  as Farage may well win.

Nationalists across Europe are learning that the ideological gap is smaller and easier to bridge than the globalist gap, as the British follow the Italian lead:

As a left-wing campaigner for 35 years, I’ve been arrested on picket lines, led anti-imperialist demonstrations and spoken at anti-deportation protests outside police stations. I’ve made speeches at street rallies, in prisons and universities and at pubs.
Yet yesterday, in an unexpected twist of events, I found myself sitting next to Nigel Farage, announcing my intention to stand as a candidate for his Brexit Party in the European elections on May 23....

Charlottesville: The Last Stand of American Freedom

Via Martin

The extreme left and politicized elements of the government are using Charlottesville to crush your rights and solidify their power

A remarkable thing is happening in Charlottesville. Although the Unite the Right rally happened over a year and a half ago, Charlottesville is where the organized, militant left and its establishment backers intend to crush popular resistance to their near total control of American political discourse. If they succeed, public free speech--speech that challenges prevailing attitudes at any rate--will be nearly impossible. The American citizen will have been reduced to the status of a serf. Fight now, or that will be your destiny.

John: This was a set up from the word go. The attendees were told it was a Confederate Heritage March, but it was an ambush set by Charlottesville civil authorities to direct people into a melee by Antifa scum to kill and wound us while local PD prevents any aid to us or response by us. The media was there to propagandize like they did in DC with Covington Catholic. Future historians will look at Charlottesville as the Harpers Ferry of the 2nd Civil War

New York Times Columnist Visits Border, Determines 'Solution Is A High Wall'

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman wrote on Tuesday that after visiting the U.S.-Mexico border he believes the solution for the immigration crisis is a "high wall."

"The whole day left me more certain than ever that we have a real immigration crisis and that the solution is a high wall with a big gate — but a smart gate," Friedman wrote.

Friedman echoed those sentiments while appearing on CNN Wednesday night when pressed by Wolf Blitzer. town.
