New report says 2/3 of all jobs created by Obama went to immigrants

A new analysis of government data shows that two-thirds of the net increase in employment since President Obama took office has gone to immigrant workers, primarily legal immigrants. Although the level of new immigration overall has fallen, legal immigration remains very high. While economists debate the extent to which immigrants displace natives, the new data make clear that there is no general labor shortage in the United States. This analysis calls into question the wisdom of bringing in more than a million new legal immigrants each year at a time when the employment situation remains bleak.

Among the findings of this analysis:
  • Since President Obama took office, 67 percent of employment growth has gone to immigrants (legal and illegal).
  • There were 1.94 million more immigrants (legal and illegal) working in the third quarter of 2012 than at the start of 2009, when the president took office. This compares to a 938,000 increase for natives over the same time period.
  • Most of the immigrant growth in employment was the result of new immigration, rather than immigrants already in the country taking jobs. Some 1.6 million new immigrant workers arrived from abroad since the start of 2009 — we estimate 70 to 90 percent entered legally.
  • Immigrants made employment gains across the labor market. In occupations where immigrant gains were the largest, there were 2.2 million unemployed natives.
  • A large share of employment growth was going to immigrants well before President Obama took office. However, he has taken steps to increase the level of job competition from foreign-born workers:

    • He offered work authorization to an estimated two million illegal immigrants who arrived in the country before age 16 — nearly 200,000 of whom have applied so far.
    • When auditing employers who hire illegal workers, the administration has not detained the illegal workers as a matter of policy, allowing them to take new jobs.
    • The administration called on the Supreme Court in 2010 to strike down Arizona’s law requiring employers to verify the legal status of new workers.

I’m tempted to write nothing but Benghazi reports until forever, until the Traitor in Chief is brought up on charges of treason. I’m not a war or military reporter or expert, so I’m a bit handicapped in that area of expertise. That said, I am disgusted and appalled by what our so-called president and his staff have done to those men who lost their lives in Benghazi…and further disgusted and appalled by the media who are covering for the liars in the White House. My son is career military. Fortunately he is not on the front lines in a war zone right now. But it takes nothing much for this military mother to make the leap into the shoes of the families in that circumstance. The thought is never far from my mind and heart.

I’m on board with defense. I am not on board with appeasing enemies. The deliberate orders to stand down and not even try to protect our Ambassador and the other three brave men who were trying to save him is, without a doubt, the most despicable action by a Commander in Chief that I have ever seen. The underlying information we are getting about arming Al Qaeda in that area …gun running for our enemies, needs to be in front of Congress investigations immediately and exposed to the American public.

There are those who are promoting this Traitor in Chief as great for America’s foreign policy. The media is touting that as a selling point for the election of Obama. Who, in God’s name, are they kidding? Tell that to the families of the military who have been sacrificing their lives for the sake of appeasing our enemies. Tell that to those 4 families who just lost husbands, sons, brothers, and fathers.

Benghazi is the truth about Obama. He hates America. He will do nothing to defend America. He should be brought up on charges of treason…post haste. I hope God is running this show, because I am just not understanding the compliance of media, idiots, and sycophants in this nation. Is there a lesson being learned here? I hope so….

Obama’s Inauguration Pastor: ‘All White People Are Going To Hell’


Jeremiah Wright is not the only racist “pastor” Barack Obama has run with. Joseph Lowery, the man who delivered the benediction in 2009 at his inauguration said “I don’t know what kind of a n—– wouldn’t vote with a black man running,” and that all white people are going to Hell.
The Monroe County Reporter reports,
“We’ve turned our backs on the faith,” said Lowery. “America is going to hell in a hand basket. We need to straighten up so God can use us.”
Lowery said that when he was a young militant, he used to say all white folks were going to hell. Then he mellowed and just said most of them were. Now, he said, he is back to where he was.
“I’m frightened by the level of hatred and bitterness coming out in this election,” said Lowery.
Ya think? It doesn’t appear he is frightened enough? Instead he is spewing more hatred.
“I don’t know what kind of a nigger wouldn’t vote with a black man running,” said Lowery.

Oklahomans Prepare for New Law That Will Make Guns a Common Sight

   Tom Smith, owner of the Stillwater Armory gun shop, openly carried an Ed Brown 1911 .45 caliber pistol in his store. Oklahoma's law allowing unconcealed firearms takes effect Thursday.

Bryan Hull will soon strap his Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver to his hip and meet his armed friends at Beverly's Pancake House here. They have no interest in the cash register. They just want a late-night breakfast.

A new law takes effect on Thursday in Oklahoma - anyone licensed to carry a concealed firearm can choose to carry a weapon out in the open, in a belt or shoulder holster, loaded or unloaded. Five minutes after midnight Thursday, Mr. Hull and his friends - supporters of the Oklahoma Open Carry Association, a gun rights group - will mark the occasion by wearing their unconcealed handguns while dining at Beverly's, a 24-hour restaurant.

"It's just a peaceful assembly," said Mr. Hull, 44, the association's co-director. "We're all licensed by the state to carry. We've all been trained and vetted. Why wouldn't somebody want to have that kind of a group do business with them in their establishment?"

In a state with 142,000 men and women licensed to carry concealed weapons, the scene at Beverly's will most likely become commonplace as Oklahomans take advantage of the law by displaying their handguns while they shop for groceries, eat at restaurants and walk into banks.

Advocates for gun rights said the ability to "open carry" would deter crime and eliminate the risks of a wardrobe mishap, such as when someone carrying a concealed weapon breaks the law by accidentally exposing the firearm. But the new law is a symbolic as well as practical victory. Supporters said there was no better advertisement for the Second Amendment than to have thousands of responsible adults openly carrying their weapons in a highly visible fashion.

"This enhances Oklahomans' ability to exercise their Second Amendment rights," said the Republican state senator who wrote Senate Bill 1733, Anthony Sykes. "I think the evidence is clear that gun owners are some of the most responsible people, and they've shown that in not just Oklahoma, where we've had conceal carry for quite some time and there's never been an incident, but in these other states as well."

Suppose a Triumphant Confederate Government:

“Ten years after the secession of South Carolina and less than six after the close of the consequent Civil War between the States, I became a South Carolina “carpetbagger.” That is, I migrated from our “Empire” [State] to the “Palmetto” State.

What I say [about carpetbaggers and scalawags] is said in no caviling temper. Whether to the debit or credit side, it must go to the account not of South Carolina nature in particular, but of human nature in general. No doubt the inhabitants of every other community in the world would in similar circumstances have acted as South Carolinians did. Take Massachusetts, for instance, the State which in those days and for two generations before was cross-matched with South Carolina in the harness of American politics.

Suppose the Confederacy had triumphed in the Civil War. Suppose also that the same uncongenial folk were administering national functions under the patronage of a triumphant Confederate government at Richmond – the post offices, custom houses, internal revenue offices and all the rest. And suppose that this had been forcibly maintained by detachments of the victorious Confederate army, some of the garrisons being composed of troops recruited from alien-born factory hands.

Suppose moreover that there had been sad memories in Boston, as there were in fact in Charleston, of a mournful occasion less than ten years before, when the dead bodies of native young men of Brahmin breed to a number equaling 1 in 100 of the entire population of the city had lain upon a Boston wharf, battlefield victims of that same Confederate army now profoundly victorious. And suppose that weeds had but recently grown in Tremont Street as rank as in an unfarmed field, because it had been in range of Confederate shells under a daily bombardment for two years.

I am imagining those conditions in no criticism of Federal post-war policies with reference to the South nor as any slur upon the factory hands of New England, but for the purpose of creating the state of mind capable of understanding the South Carolina of 1871 by contrasting what in either place would at the time have been regarded as “upper“ and “lowest” class. If my suppositions do not reach the imagination, try to picture a conquest of your own State by Canada, and fill in the picture with circumstances analogous to those in which South Carolina was plunged at the time of which I write.

For more than 140 years, the Bixby letter has been hailed as one of President Abraham Lincolns most remarkable prose masterpieces. It has been displayed in museums across theUnited States and has more recently served as the inspiration of Steven Spielbergs movie Saving Private Ryan. Yet, since the letters creation, its authenticity has been debated by countless handwriting experts, historians and scholars. To date, there is still no concrete evidence proving it was actually written by Lincoln or simply the work of a forger.

The letter, which was allegedly written by Lincoln in the fall of 1864, was addressed to Lydia Bixby, a Bostonian widow and mother of five sons. It was believed that all of Mrs. Bixbys sons were killed in action during the Civil War. Upon her sons deaths, the grieving widow purportedly received a letter of condolences from Lincoln in which he attempted to console her great loss.

The Abraham Lincoln of popular perception is a mythological figure. He
has little to do with the actual 16th president.

For example, a popular film depicts a fictionalized Lincoln as having
been opposed to slavery virtually from the cradle. His Confederate
enemies, on the other hand, were minions of Satan. The reality was not so.

as Mary Lincoln lecturing her husband that no other American has ever
been so beloved as he. In reality, as that sister-in-law of a
Confederate general and sister of other Confederate soldiers had reason
to know, no American president has ever been as hated as Abraham
Lincoln. His election led seven states to secede from the Union, after
all, and four more withdrew after seeing his first few weeks¹ performance in office.

Hearing Spielberg¹s Mary Lincoln reminds one of H. L. Mencken¹s
appraisal of Lincoln¹s most famous speech, the "Gettysburg Address." In
that speech, on the occasion of a military cemetery's dedication,
Lincoln said: "We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in
vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth of freedom, and
that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not
perish from the earth." Mencken, who possessed skill surpassing that of
any other man in the art of the sardonic skewer, noted that the only
thing wrong with Lincoln's famous speech -- held up ever since as the
model of American oratory -- is that: "It is difficult to imagine
anything more untrue. The Union soldiers in the battle actually fought
against self-determination; it was the Confederates who fought for the
right of their people to govern themselves."

Ohio Voting Count 'Nightmare' Looms

With the presidential election expected to hinge on Ohio, the state’s former secretary of state, GOP stalwart Kenneth Blackwell, is warning that a little-known change in the Buckeye State’s absentee-ballot process could lead to a “nightmare scenario.”

And that scenario could force the entire country to wait 10 days after the election to find out who will be the next president of the United States. It’s a complicated situation, to say the least, but one that could have a far-reaching impact on the Nov. 6 election process.

For the first time in the key swing state’s history, Blackwell says, virtually all Ohio voters this year were mailed an application for an absentee ballot. In previous elections, most Ohio voters had to request an application for an absentee ballot to receive one.

The concern is that thousands of Ohio voters may complete the absentee-ballot application and receive an absentee ballot, but not bother to complete and mail in the ballot.

Anyone who is sent an absentee ballot — including those who do not complete it and mail it in — and later shows up at the polls on Election Day to cast their ballot in person will be instructed to instead complete a provisional ballot.

And under Ohio election law, provisional ballots cannot be opened until 10 days after an election.

“I would just say that this is a potential nightmare-in-waiting,” says Blackwell.

Blackwell believes that could result in an unprecedented number of provisional ballots being filed – some 250,000 or more. Such a large number of ballots being held, presumably under armed guard, for 10 days until they can be opened, would bring to mind the historic 2000 post-election battle in Florida. That recount was marked by ballot disputes — and inevitably, lawsuits.

“You’re talking about craziness for 10 days,” Blackwell tells Newsmax in an exclusive interview. “They won’t even be opened to be counted for 10 days.”

20 Million Deer hunters, guardians of freedom?



Aesop has left a couple of comments that have provoked me into further thought on the subject of 20 million deer hunters.  A lot of people who believe that 20 million deer hunters are a credible threat to tyranny seem to have the "Underpants Gnome" plan for success.

What this conversation really boils down to is how you get from step one to step three.  Expecting 20 million people to self organize into anything is, in my opinion, expecting a miracle.

I think the disconnect is that you seem to keep looking at "20M hunters" and seeing 10,000 potential regiments, needing the requisite uniforms, rations, drill, and coordination into a unified command - which I'll grant we'd need in the Fulda Gap in 1983. In the Shenandoah Valley in 2013 not so much.
Actually I see 20 Million deer hunters and I start whittling away the ones that won't fight, can't fight, or are in the wrong geographic location to do anyone any good.  A deer hunter in rural Wyoming, New Mexico, or Alaska is in a position to maybe cause some trouble with a railroad or oil pipeline, but not really going to be all that effective at ending the siege of New York or Miami.  Successful insurgencies are population centric, and the bulk of our population is urban/sub-urban.

Whereas we'uns see them as 10M+ potential sniper teams, free to shoot or not, as and when they will, and show back up at work in the morning, indefinitely.

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Pig Virus) Calls For Congressional Hearing On Links Between Global Warming And Hurricane Sandy….....



A better idea for a congressional hearing would be to investigate how human and pig DNA was combined to form Henry Waxman.

Rep. Henry Waxman’s (D-Calif.) letter to the committee’s chairman, Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.), makes Waxman the latest of several Democrats to cite the massive storm when calling for tougher action to battle global warming.
Wednesday’s letter argues that regardless of what happens at the ballot box in November, “the election should be a time to return to fact-based policymaking.”
“Hurricane Sandy is exactly the type of extreme weather event that climate scientists have said will become more frequent and more severe if we fail to reduce our carbon pollution. That is why we are writing to request that you hold a hearing on the storm and its relation to climate change in the lame-duck session,” Waxman and Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.), a top lieutenant on the committee, wrote.

Pew: Obama's Early Vote Average Collapses 26 Points over 2008


As the CorruptMedia hyperventilates over the juicery released by Quinnipiac today showing Obama winning all of America's 12,458  electoral votes and Queen for a Day, the one poll they've intentionally ignored is a bombshell from Gallup showing Romney winning early votes by seven points and Obama's early vote advantage collapsing 22 points over 2008.

The cover-up of this poll was so thorough that when the corrupt Politico did report on Gallup's seven-point early vote advantage for Romney, they did so under a headline that laughably read: "Neither has edge in early voting." That's not bias on Politico's part; it’s out-and-out lying. Well, now we have a second poll the media can ignore that further confirms Gallup's findings and also shows Romney up seven points with early voters -- this time from Pew:

Fox News Finds Benghazi Smoking Gun, Raises Serious Questions


Seasoned counterterrorism reporter Catherine Herridge, part of a Fox News team that has been dogging the story of the September 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya that resulted in the death of four Americans, has revealed the existence of a cable sent to the Office of the Secretary of State weeks before. The cable concluded that the consulate could not withstand a “coordinated attack.” Further, the cable identified terrorist groups that were operating in the area. I guess we'll always be unappreciated for what we did in "Nam. I worked with three Catholic orphanages during my off-duty hours,as well,as some of my friends did humanitarian things to help out the Vietnamese people.

None of these photos won a Pulitzer Prize.  Reason: they wouldn't "sell."  To paraphrase a familiar term: "Pulitzers are in the eye of the beholder."  The "beholders" weren't interested in any of this because they didn't fuel their righteous indignation, didn't fit in with their desired preconceptions.

The Preferred Role of Guns in the Political Process



Recently, I wrote of the limited utility of sharpshooters in standing battles. I also write often about the importance of marksmanship and gun ownership. How do these two statements fit together?

Where most of the population is unarmed and untrained, a relatively small junta can make considerable progress by not playing by the rules. That approach doesn’t work as well if every segment of the population is capable to self-defense. Of course, it is possible for one group to overmatch another, but the amount of logistical organization and preparation necessary for such a feat would also enable them to win elections…at which point victory by force becomes unnecessary. In effect, elections can be viewed as non-violent proxies for civil wars. The same is true of personal safety: in some countries, dissidents and merely insufficiently enthusiastic supporters of the ruling party could be rounded up at little cost to the government. In the US, every individual may be presumed armed and unpredictable, increasing the required manpower and decreasing the ability to arrest political opponents without repercussions.

So guns and other weapons in private hands keep certain political optimists from trying their luck at establishing the Second Caliphate or building Worker’s Paradise or Restoring the Republic. They end up trying to make it happen by means other than bloody mayhem. I’d rather have a PR battle and put up with annoying campaigns than have DFL and GOP (and possible other contenders) slug it out Beirut 1982 style. The Lebanese civil war, by the way, was sparked by outside influences that gave some factions the illusion of “short victorious war” being possible. The American civilian arms basically make violent political shortcuts backfire on those who try. That is why marksmanship and access to arms are important.

Early Voting Machine in Ohio Switching Romney Vote to Obama


Well, this isn't a good sign. At least one early voting machine in Ohio, the state that could make or break the election, is switching Romney votes to Obama votes on the screen.
Joan Stevens was one of several early voters at the polls on Monday. But when Stevens tried to cast her ballot for president, she noticed a problem.

Upon selecting “Mitt Romney” on the electronic touch screen, Barack Obama’s name lit up.

It took Stevens three tries before her selection was accurately recorded.

“You want to vote for who you want to vote for, and when you can’t it’s irritating,” Stevens said.

Stevens said she alerted Jackie Smith, a board of elections member who was present. Smith declined to comment, but Stevens says she mentioned that the machine had been having problems all day.

Where is the Benghazi media feeding frenzy?

I don’t think there’s a conspiracy at work. Rather, I think journalists tend to act on their instincts. And, collectively, the mainstream media’s instincts run liberal.

In 2000, a Democratic operative orchestrated an “October surprise” attack on George W. Bush, revealing that 24 years earlier, he’d been arrested for drunken driving. The media went into a feeding frenzy.

“Is all the 24-hour coverage of Bush’s 24-year-old DUI arrest the product of a liberal media almost drunk on the idea of sinking him, or is it a legitimate, indeed unavoidable news story?” asked Howard Kurtz on his CNN show “Reliable Sources.” The consensus among the guests: It wasn’t a legitimate news story. But the media kept going with it.

One could go on and on. In September 2004, former CBS titan Dan Rather gambled his entire career on a story about Bush’s service in the National Guard. His instincts were so powerful, he didn’t thoroughly check the documents he relied on, which were forgeries.

Oh, there have been conservative feeding frenzies: about Barack Obama’s pastor, John Kerry’s embellishments of his war record, etc. But the mainstream media usually tasks itself with debunking and dispelling such “hysteria.”

Last week, Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin reported that sources on the ground in Libya say they pleaded for support during the attack on the Benghazi consulate that led to the deaths of four Americans. They were allegedly told twice to “stand down.” Worse, there are suggestions that significant military resources were available to counterattack, but requests for help were denied.

If true, the White House’s concerted effort to blame the attack on a video crumbles, as do several other fraudulent claims. Yet, last Friday, the president boasted, “The minute I found out what was happening” in Benghazi, he ordered that everything possible be done to protect our personnel. That’s either untrue, or he’s being disobeyed on grave matters.

Yet Fox News is alone in treating the story like it’s a big deal. During the less significant Valerie Plame scandal, reporters camped out on the front lawns of Karl Rove and other Bush White House staff. Did Obama confiscate those journalists’ sleeping bags?

Beck to Media outlets, we know you have the damning messages, release them immediately or we will expose you.

During his Wednesday evening broadcast, Glenn Beck revealed that he and his network, TheBlaze, are absolutely certain based on “very well-sourced information” that two media outlets — one a network — do indeed have emails proving the Obama White House gave orders to “stand down” during the terror attack in Benghazi.

Beck said it is incumbent upon those media outlets to release the information and provide Americans with the truth, rather than shield the president. If they refrain from doing so, Beck said he will “expose them.”

Later on in the segment, Beck also broached Facebook’s censoring of the Special Operations Speaks (SOS) PAC. Facebook ordered the group to take down an anti-Obama meme about Benghazi and when they didn’t comply, the account was suspended for 24 hours.
