How Comey intervened to kill WikiLeaks' immunity deal

Via Billy

One of the more devastating intelligence leaks in American history — the unmasking of the CIA’s arsenal of cyber warfare weapons last year — has an untold prelude worthy of a spy novel.

Some of the characters are household names, thanks to the Russia scandal: James Comey, fired FBI director. Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Department of Justice (DOJ) official Bruce Ohr. Julian Assange, grand master of WikiLeaks. And American attorney Adam Waldman, who has a Forrest Gump-like penchant for showing up in major cases of intrigue.

Each played a role in the early days of the Trump administration to try to get Assange to agree to “risk mitigation” — essentially, limiting some classified CIA information he might release in the future.

Comments on "Historian Links Current Political Environment to Pre-Civil War'

I Believe It Is Time To Gun Up. We now see the democrat party and elected democrats in congress calling for domestic terrorist attacks. We are just one VERY tiny step from open conflict. We see the democrat media openly whipping up hatred and animosity toward the American President, Republicans, and conservatives. We have already seen a media inspired attack.

On June 14, 2017, James Hodgkinson tried to kill Republican members of Congress. When he left home, he told his wife he was going to DC to “protest.” This was an attempted assassination of Republicans. James Hodgkinson, expressed strident anti-Republican views on social media and directed particular ire at Trump after he became president. Is there any doubt it was fueled by 24/7 media attacks?

Now we see democrats chopping off animals heads and leaving them on porches of people with which they disagree. A senior DHS official living in the Washington. D.C. area found a burnt animal carcass by the front door. How soon does the democrat and media promotion of violence lead to a killing? How soon do they stop burning animals and throw gas bombs into homes?

Dear Lefties:

I'm your Huckleberry. My heart is hard and ice cold. Should it come to pass, and I do pray that it will not, to squeeze the trigger, I will have zero remorse for doing so.

In one sense the Lefties have admitted they have lost the battle. If they could truly show they have a better way, then they would have been able to calmly state their case, by the power of facts, reason, logic and history. But no, they have to lie, cheat, censor, slander, and use and threaten to use violence to impose their will on the rest of use. The false pretense has been dropped; they do hate us and consider us inferior to them. They do want to take away our faith in God, money, property, guns and our right to speak our minds. If a civil war comes, it will be ALL on them. They can not walk back, their desire to murder us. They are both evil and insane.

Is America headed toward a civil war? Sanders, Nielsen incidents show it has already begun

Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kirstjen Nielsen experiences at restaurants suggest a 'soft' civil war is well underway. It will get worse unless we learn to stop hating each other.

The other day, author Tom Ricks asked whether we’re heading toward a civil war. "I don’t believe we’re to Kansas of the 1850s yet. But we seem to be lurching ... in that direction,” he wrote.

Ricks was commenting on “What Democratic rage would look like,” a Bloomberg opinion column that quotes political scientist Thomas Schaller as saying, "I think we're at the beginning of a soft civil war. ... I don't know if the country gets out of it whole."

That sounds pretty serious. The column by Francis Wilkinson presents a catalog of things Democrats are mad about — from the existence of the electoral college to Trump’s “propaganda apparatus” — and predicts that if Democrats lose the midterm elections, there will be hell to pay. (And Republicans, you know, could make a similar list of their own complaints.)

Juneteenth: A Celebration of Nothing

On June 19, 1865, Union forces arrived in Galveston, Texas and declared to the population of that state that the Emancipation Proclamation had freed its slaves. Called “Juneteenth,” it was initially celebrated in Texas, but it is now recognized in one way or another by 45 states and the District of Columbia. But what is it a celebration of? President Abraham Lincoln had no constitutional authority to free slaves, so no slaves were legally freed under the Proclamation.

As this was the last place that those declared free under the Emancipation Proclamation were informed that they were free, is it presumed that the last of the slaves obtained their freedom on that day? It is presumed wrongly if it is.

Prior to the start of hostilities in early 1861, local authorities across the South were enlisting free black soldiers for military service, the most notable being the all-black Louisiana Native Guards of New Orleans, led by black officers. In June of 1861, the Tennessee legislature authorized the governor to receive into State service “all male persons of color between the ages of fifteen and fifty and to provide them with eight dollars a month, clothing and rations.” In November, 1864, in a message to Congress, President Davis spoke of a possible time when slaves should be needed for the army, stating: “should the alternative ever be presented of subjugation or of the employment of the slave as a soldier, there seems no reason to doubt what should be our decision” (See Black Southerners in Confederate Armies, Segars & Barrow).

Raising a Potent Creole Brigade

“Congressman E.S.] Dargen of Alabama, introduced a bill [on December 28, 1863] to receive into the military service all that portion of population in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida, known as “Creoles.”

Mr. Dargen supported the bill in some remarks. He said the Creoles were a mixed-blood race. Under the treaty of Paris [when Louisiana Territory was purchased] in 1803, and the treaty of Spain in 1819, they were recognized as freemen.

Many of them owned large estates, and were intelligent men. They were as much devoted to our cause as any class of men in the South, and were even anxious to go into the service. They had applied to him to be received into service, and he had applied to Mr. [George W.] Randolph, then Secretary of War. Mr. Randolph decided against the application, on the ground that it might furnish the enemy a pretext for arming our slaves against us.

Mr. Dargen said he differed with the Secretary of War. He was anxious to bring into the service every free man, be he who he may, willing to strike for our cause. He saw no objection to employing Creoles – they would form a potent element in our army. In his district alone a brigade of them could be raised.

The crisis had been brought upon us by the enemy, and he believed the time would yet come when the question would not be the Union or no Union, but whether Southern men should be permitted to live at all. In resisting subjugation by such a barbarous foe he was for arming and putting slaves into the military service. He was in favor, even, of employing them as a military arm in the defense of the country.”

Paul Craig Roberts: A Conversation on Race: Excellent Analysis of the Recent Unpleasantness & More

Via Jonathan

The West is over and done with. Nothing remains of the West but the lies used to control the people. All hope is elsewhere.
We often hear that we need a conversation on race. Considering that Americans are a brainwashed people living in a false history, such a conversation would resemble the one the Russians were expected to have with the British in regard to the Skripal poisoning: “Yes, we are guilty. We will pay reparations. Where would you like us to send Putin for trial?” In other words, the only acceptable race conversation in the US is one in which white people accept the accusation that they are racist and offer to make amends.

Considering that the only slavery experienced by any living black or white person is income tax slavery, race is an issue only because it has been orchestrated as an issue along with gender and sexual preference. These divisive issues are the products of Identity Politics spawned by cultural Marxism.

White House Adviser Leo: Trump Likely Two More Supreme Court Picks

 Dated video.

Fox News Sunday this week profiled Leonard Leo, who assists President Donald Trump and White House Counsel Don McGahn in the historic task of filling a record number of judicial vacancies. Leo predicts that President Trump will have at least two more opportunities to appoint originalists to the U.S. Supreme Court, which could define his presidency as a lasting legacy for the nation.

President Trump makes his own decisions picking federal judges, and McGahn is the senior adviser most involved in presenting those choices. But the president must fill almost 170 judicial vacancies — a historic high number — and McGahn has countless duties as the president’s top lawyer, daily engaged in top-level decisions on the full range of domestic and foreign policies. He puts out the innumerable fires that any leading lawyer in the White House confronts as he helps manage the activities of 2.7 million federal employees spending a budget of $4 trillion leading a nation of 326 million citizens.

With all those demands, who advises McGahn on judges? While he has deputies and associates in the White House Counsel’s Office and works with a team in the Office of Legal Policy at the Department of Justice, no one plays a larger role in equipping McGahn to advise the president on judges than Leo, the executive vice president of the Federalist Society.

Nolte: Border Hysteria Delivers Disastrous Week for Establishment Media

Image result for time fake cover

Driven by impotent rage, political extremism, and their own frustration at President Trump’s ongoing foreign and domestic successes, the establishment media had its worst week in years last week surrounding their now-debunked border separation hoax.

The timing of last  week’s disaster (which I will detail in a sec), could not have been worse. It came right on the heels of a Gallup poll full of dreadful news. A clean majority of 62 percent believe the “traditional news media” is biased. A full 44 percent believe the media is inaccurate, and another 39 percent believe the media spread misinformation.

And those were the numbers before last week, a week full of hoaxes, lies, childish trolling, and the condoning of mob justice against Trump officials.

Here is a breakdown…

My picture of General Pender at Dixieland. His nephew married one of my great aunts.

"I ought not to have fought the battle at Gettysburg; it was a mistake. But the stakes were so great I was compelled to play; for had we succeeded, Harrisburg, Baltimore and Washington were in our hands; and, we would have succeeded had *Pender lived."

*"When his wife learned of his death, she locked herself in a room for three days. When she came out, her dark hair had turned white."

When my mother was very young she attended a wedding and Mrs. Pender remarked that her dress was very pretty to which my mother replied that if she only had been allowed to wear her sister's pearls she would have been very happy. Mrs. Pender replied

"A youthful neck needs no adornment.

CBS Poll: 51% of Americans Believe a Border Wall is a Good Idea

Liberals must be pulling their hair out.:)

As Townhall previously reported, a CBS poll released today showed that more Americans than not want illegal alien families either detained or deported all together. But, that same poll shows that 51% of Americans believe that a wall along the United States southern border is a good thing, even if that structure does not span coast-to-coast.

Economist: Dems Should 'Thank Their Lucky Stars' That Tax Day Doesn't Come Before Midterms

Economist Peter Morici thinks Democrats are lucky that tax filing day doesn't come before November's midterm elections.

Morici appeared on "Fox & Friends First" on Monday to react to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's announcement that new, postcard-sized tax forms will be released this week.

As they worked on tax reform, Republicans had promised to make the filing process clearer and simpler for Americans, so much so that the 1040 form, the basic tax-filing document, would be the size of a postcard.

Sarah Sanders heckled by Red Hen owner even after leaving, Mike Huckabee says

Via Billy

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Monday that recent "calls for harassment and push[es] for any Trump supporter to avoid the public is unacceptable" days after she was kicked out of a Virginia restaurant over the weekend.

After White House press secretary Sarah Sanders and her family were kicked out of a Virginia restaurant on Friday evening, the owner of the establishment followed the group and kept berating them, Mike Huckabee, Sanders’ father and the former Arkansas governor, told Fox Business on Monday.

“In fact, a little known part of this story, is that after Sarah and her husband left and the family relocated to a restaurant across the street, the owner of the Red Hen then organized an effort to go and scream at them from the sidewalk at the other restaurant,” Huckabee claimed in an interview on “The Intelligence Report with Trish Regan.”

WALTER WILLIAMS: Diversity, inclusion is harming America - Part II

Via Billy

My column a fortnight ago, titled "Diversity and Inclusion Harm," focused on the dumbing down of science, technology, engineering and mathematics curricula to achieve a more pleasing mixture of participants in terms of race and sex. Heather Mac Donald, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, wrote about this in her article titled "How Identity Politics Is Harming the Sciences." Mac Donald quoted a UCLA scientist who said, "All across the country the big question now in STEM is: how can we promote more women and minorities by 'changing' (i.e., lowering) the requirements we had previously set for graduate level study?" The National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health are two federal agencies that fund university research, are consumed by diversity and inclusion ideology, and have the power to yank funds from a college if it has not supported a sufficient number of "underrepresented minorities."

Former Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has hit out at Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing him as the leader of a “white supremacist and xenophobic movement”  which is designed to “weaken America’s traditional alliances and undermine democracy.”

The former secretary of state did not mince words when discussing the Mr Putin during a lecture at Trinity College Dublin, and declared that Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election – which is the subject of multiple investigations in the US Congress and the FBI – as a “clear and present danger” to Western democracy.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi: "When you’re violent and cursing and screaming and blocking me from walking into a movie, there’s something wrong," she said. "The next people are going to come with guns. That’s what’s going to happen."

A famous presidential historian warns that the aggressive confrontations against Trump officials and Republican politicians by far-left protestors are reminiscent of "some of the things that happened before the Civil War."

The White House Press Secretary being kicked out of a restaurant in Virginia is "a new disheartening sign of a country that is becoming more divided by the hour," said historian Michael Beschloss.
"It is almost beginning to sound like some of the things that happened before the Civil War. It’s a polarized country."

James Woods Warns Conservatives: Get Armed and Vote, Your Life Depends On It

Violence inevitable following Maxine Waters’ calls to intimidate Trump supporters, he says

Conservatives must arm up and vote to protect themselves from increasingly unhinged leftists poised to commit violence against them, says Hollywood actor James Woods.

Woods took to Twitter to give his take on Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.) calls over the weekend to intimidate and harass Trump officials and supporters.

“Now that a United States Congresswoman has called for harassment against Republicans and the inevitable violence that will come of it, I urge all of you to a) get armed, and b) vote. Your life literally depends on it,” he tweeted Sunday.

Red Hen eateries feel the heat after Sarah Sanders booted from Virginia restaurant with same name

Why are some pundits cheering the owner?
Michael Friedman never imagined that naming his restaurant The Red Hen would be so controversial.

But when the co-owner of another restaurant named The Red Hen – this one almost 200 miles away in Lexington, Va. – refused to serve White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders on Friday night, it was open season on any eatery with Hen in its name.

“It was a bit of an interesting day yesterday,” Friedman told Fox News. “There were so many negative comments floating in on social media and people calling up my restaurants to threaten us.”

With ‘Stand Your Ground’ Veto Threat, Oath-Breaking Kasich Continues Betraying Gun Owners That Helped Elect Him

“Despite pleas from Republican Gov. John Kasich and recent, high-profile shootings, Ohio’s GOP lawmakers would rather pass a “stand your ground” proposal than the governor’s ideas on gun control,” the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Tuesday. “The bill would eliminate a legal requirement to try to retreat before shooting in a public place.”

Naturally prosecutors are against it because it would complicate their jobs and make it harder to bring charges against defensive gun uses.  And even though votes exist in the legislature to override it, Kasich says he plans to veto the bill.
