'Harmful Content': National Archives Slaps Warning on Constitution, Other Founding Documents

 Via Billy

I almost wish this was one of those clickbait headline stories, over which you roll your eyes after “clicking,” only to realize you’ve once again fallen victim to “over-selling” and “under-delivering.” It’s not. It’s legit.

The National Archives and Records Association (NARA) recently determined that America’s Founding Documents — which include the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and other significant historical documents — might be “harmful or difficult” for some users to view.

NYT: Trump Was Right, They Aren’t Stopping At Confederate Monuments

Just watched as a massive crane took down the magnificent and very famous statue of “Robert E. Lee On His Horse” in Richmond, Virginia. It has long been recognized as a beautiful piece of bronze sculpture. To add insult to injury, those who support this “taking” now plan to cut it into three pieces, and throw this work of art into storage prior to its complete desecration.

Robert E. Lee is considered by many Generals to be the greatest strategist of them all. President Lincoln wanted him to command the North, in which case the war would have been over in one day. Robert E. Lee instead chose the other side because of his great love of Virginia, and except for Gettysburg, would have won the war. He should be remembered as perhaps the greatest unifying force after the war was over, ardent in his resolve to bring the North and South together through many means of reconciliation and imploring his soldiers to do their duty in becoming good citizens of this, both good and bad, are being extinguished by the Radical Left, and we can’t let that happen! If only we had Robert E. Lee to command our troops in Afghanistan, that disaster would have ended in a complete and total victory many years ago. What an embarrassment we are suffering because we don’t have the genius of a Robert E. Lee!

Our culture is being destroyed and our history and heritage, both good and bad, are being extinguished by the Radical Left, and we can’t let that happen! If only we had Robert E. Lee to command our troops in Afghanistan, that disaster would have ended in a complete and total victory many years ago. What an embarrassment we are suffering because we don’t have the genius of a Robert E. Lee!

The communists on the left must be stopped.  General Robert E. Lee was multiples the man any soy boy is who wants Lee’s statue’s down.  America’s history is rich and free.

Biden Ousts Trump Military Academy Board Appointees

Conway jabbed at Biden, "I’m not resigning but you should.” She went on in a statement to call it a “disappointing but understandable” effort to distract from the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, a rise in COVID cases and a disappointing August jobs report.

Vought on Twitter posted the letter he received from Russell and responded, “No. It’s a three year term.”

Jonathan Hiler, a Navy academy alumnus who served as director of legislative affairs for Vice President Mike Pence, said he was “not resigning.”

“As an alum and former naval officer, I believe developing leaders capable of defending our country’s interests at sea — USNA’s mission — is not something that should be consumed by partisan politics. Apparently, President Biden feels differently. @WhiteHouse,” Hiler posted on Twitter.

Spicer, who now works for the conservative news channel Newsmax, in his own social media posting criticized Biden for trying to terminate Trump appointees “Instead of focusing on the stranded Americans left in #Afghanistan.”

Spicer later on Newsmax accused Psaki of minimizing the military service of his and other veterans appointed by Trump to the boards. Spicer said he intended to take legal action against the decision.

The Biden administration on Wednesday removed 18 appointees named to U.S. military academy boards by Donald Trump in the final months of the Republican president's term in office, according to the White House.

Cathy Russell, director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office, sent letters to 18 people named to the boards of visitors for the Air Force Academy, Military Academy and Naval Academy calling on them to resign by close of business on Wednesday or they would be terminated.

[Photos] Memories of Hue, Quang Tri in 1967 Through the Lens of Edward Palm

Empty streets, lines for food, shuttered shops: the last few weeks have certainly provided some strange scenes for Saigon residents.

But one's sense of normalcy has a short attention span, and what we consider "normal" has only existed for so long. Taking a peek at old photos reminds us that previous decades looked a lot different from today. This collection of 1967 scenes in Hue and Quang Tri reminds us of that reality.

US serviceman Edward Palm aimed his lens at scenes of daily life while stationed in the central region. His photos reveals people working, relaxing and playing.

Folks waiting for a flight on a tarmac may seem foreign to viewers today, yet a shy child hiding from behind a hat or a boy on a buffalo would still fit in. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Richmond Has Fallen

 Via Jonathan

As many of you may have heard, our beloved Robert E. Lee monument in Richmond, Virginia has been cut into pieces and removed from its 130+ year historic location. For generations, Virginians grew up around this magnificent piece of history--admiring its artistry and cultural value. Unfortunately, the corrupt government of Richmond has decided to disregard the Rule of Law and remove the monument to one of Virginias greatest (and probably last) war hero.

This monumentally sad occasion is a living testament to the very real threat clearly seen towards the life-blood of our culture; our history, traditions, and ancestry. Furthermore, if anything, it has enraged and emboldened many of us to take a stand for truth and our kin.

We will not not forget General Lee.  We will not become silent nor ignorant of our heritage because this visual reminder is gone.  They will not win the victory they think they've got in hand.  They believe our faith is so weak, that we will break and scatter without our monuments.

Free Americans must resist tyranny – impolitely

 Via Billy

As speech codes took hold of America's colleges and universities, and speakers with the "wrong" beliefs were being banned from campuses or shouted down by students, I began to realize that there was something afoot that was not just psychologically abnormal. It was something much more ominous. Something we could have predicted had we been paying attention.

It's time to pay attention. Political speech control has now reached a level most Americans would have never thought possible. While folks like you and me were dismissing the censors in our midst as oddballs and lunatics, our nation's moral and political foundations were tumbling to the turf next to all those statues and monuments we are no longer allowed to see. Obsessed with making everything in American life political (thus subject to some form of coercion) these gatekeepers of approved thinking were in the process of monopolizing public discourse by blocking public debate. American society flaccidly capitulated, from school classrooms and media newsrooms to corporate boardrooms and the locker rooms of professional sports.

Economist/YouGov Poll: Joe Biden’s Approval Rating Collapses to 39 Percent, Lowest of Presidency

While only 39 percent percent approve of Biden’s job performance, 49 percent disapprove, a drop of six points in one week.

Overall, Biden’s evaporating approval numbers are primarily due to Democrats, who have begun abandoning him amid the challenges of inflation, Afghanistan, and coronavirus. Nearly nine out of ten Democrats had approved of Biden for almost half of his first year, but Democrats have since dropped support of the president by nine percent in one week (77 percent from 86 percent).

Leaked Email: Biden State Department Obstructed Private Rescue Flights From Afghanistan

The Biden State Department refused to give approval to private charter planes seeking to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies from Afghanistan, according to a report from Fox News based on a leaked email.

The State Department refused “to grant official approval for private evacuation flights from Afghanistan to land in third countries, even though the department conceded that official authorization would likely be needed for planes to land in those nations,” according to Fox News, which obtained the email.

Gold Star Mom Invites Donald Trump to Son’s Funeral: ‘I Love You And America Loves You’

Shana Chappelle, the mother of one of the 13 U.S. service members killed in the terrorist attack on Kabul airport last month, invited former President Donald Trump to her son’s funeral in a Facebook post, saying “[i]t would be such an honor to meet the real President of the United States of America.”

The story: Chappelle, Gold Star mother of 20-year-old Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, wrote on Facebook last week, “I would love if somehow my President ( you Mr. Trump) could be present as i lay my Beautiful baby boy Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui to rest.”

Bagram Air Base Is About to Have New Tenants...And They Get Their Orders from Beijing

We left it to the terrorists. Biden abandoned it weeks before the entire Afghan government collapsed. I’m talking about Bagram Air Base. We also had a ton of terrorists detained there who were released by the Taliban. Maybe it could have been used to get our people out as we scrambled to leave the country. Biden oversaw a shambolic exit that left Americans behind. Now, he’s acting as if everything is fine while entrusting his State Department to handle future exits of Americans and anyone else who wants to leave. It won’t be successful. We have no troops on the ground. We have no leverage. And Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in way over his head with this position. He’s not our top diplomat. He’s a deer in the headlights. And the fact that China is rolling into Afghanistan should worry all of us, not least because China rolled Blinken in their first meeting in Anchorage, Alaska. China is making power moves since we’ve left—and they could be the newest occupiers of Bagram Air Base (via US News and World Report):
