‘But, Kavanaugh!’ NeverTrump’s Awakening

Via Knuckledraggin' My Life Away

There are still NeverTrump holdouts. Kristol, Nichols, Rubin and Boot are not just opposing Kavanaugh’s nomination but urging people to vote for Democrats this fall, which would empower the very thugs who are leading this assault on our political system and our democracy. Nichols argued that Kavanaugh’s conduct is worse than the Democrats, and accused him of buying into conspiracy theories. So NeverTrumper nutters still abound.

The headline was a stunner: “For Once, I’m Grateful For Trump.”

Even more shocking was the column’s author: New York Times columnist Bret Stephens.

At great risk of alienating his Trump-hating readership at the Times, Stephens carefully explained why he is relieved a man he detests now sits in the Oval Office. From evidence-free accusations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh to grandstanding, hypocritical senators, Stephens admitted he was reluctant to make such a heretical confession in the pages of a newspaper committed to destroying the Supreme Court nominee:
I’m grateful because Trump has not backed down in the face of the slipperiness, hypocrisy and dangerous standard-setting deployed by opponents of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination. I’m grateful because ferocious and even crass obstinacy has its uses in life, and never more so than in the face of sly moral bullying. I’m grateful because he’s a big fat hammer fending off a razor-sharp dagger.

After the farce that the violent Left tried to make out of the Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination process, plus their promises to make their future actions “more ruthless” the normal American public must start to confront the fact that those people consider themselves at war with us “deplorable dregs” and that they are willing to do anything, no matter how vulgar or violent, to win that war.

I read a comment this morning that asked the question “now that the confirmation process is  over, will the Democratic operatives just go away?” My first thought was “You’ve got to be kidding.

Democrats Attempt to Kill Mockingbird

May Face Huge Red Tide in November

Harper Lee’s 1964 fictional novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, cites Alabama and Southern folklore that to kill a mockingbird is bad luck, and the consequences can result in misfortune for an entire community. The main plot-line of Harper Lee’s famous fiction work involves an innocent black man, Tom Robinson, being accused by a white woman of attempted rape. Despite convincing evidence of his innocence presented by his small town lawyer, Atticus Finch, a prejudiced small-town jury finds him guilty. Tom Robinson is later shot dead trying to escape from prison.

Attacking the Confederate Battle Flag

One of the most important questions hovering over debates regarding the meaning of the Confederate Battle Flag is this one: “Precisely who instructed black people that this flag symbolized hatred of black people, and precisely who continues to speak this fallacy? And why?”

As the latter usually includes those pointing to the Klan, let’s look at that question. It is well-known that the initial Ku Klux Klan had no flag; the pre-WWI incarnation of the Klan carried the US flag and many images of their marches prove this. In the late 1950s resurrection of the Klan one sees the US flag, the Confederate Battle Flag, and the Gadsden flag prominently displayed in public. Not one flag, but three.

Add to this the fact that it was England and New England who populated the South with African slaves. Rhode Island surpassed Liverpool as the center of the transatlantic slave trade in the mid-1700s, and New England’s industrial base was built upon slave trading profits. It was Massachusetts tinkerer Eli Whitney’s invention in 1793 which made cotton production highly profitable, and New England mill owners became wealthy from slave-produced cotton.

If enslaving Africans is considered “hatred” of this race of people, then we should rightly condemn first the African tribes who enslaved Africans, as well as the Portuguese, Spanish, French, British and New England slave traders who brought the Africans to the New World in chains. How then, is the Confederate Battle Flag a “symbol of hatred and oppression?”  The following is an insightful article by Joseph E. Fallon, writing in Chronicles Magazine in 2000.

Attacking the Confederate Battle Flag

“The Confederate flag has become a heated topic this election year. As George W. Bush and John McCain battled in South Carolina for the Republican presidential nomination, the New York Young Republican Club invited Richard Lowry, the editor of National Review, to discuss the Republican Party’s prospects for November.

In the question-and-answer session that followed, Mr. Robert Hornak, the club’s president, asked Mr. Lowry why the Republican Party did not condemn the Confederate Battle Flag. Alleging the flag was a symbol of treason, sedition and slavery, Mr. Hornak maintained that, by not condemning it, the GOP alienates black voters, ensuring that they vote Democratic. Mr. Lowry agreed, adding that Republicans don’t condemn the Confederate flag because they want the “redneck” vote.

In attacking the flag, both gentlemen unintentionally aid their political opponents. For a more compelling case can be made against the “Stars and Stripes” as a symbol of slavery, treason and sedition than against the Confederate Battle Flag.

There was no legal right under British law for a colony to secede from the British Empire. The actions of the American revolutionaries, therefore, were treasonous and seditious; their flag was a symbol of treason and sedition.

The Stars and Stripes also symbolizes a country established as a slaveholding republic. When the Declaration of Independence was signed, the institution of slavery was legally sanctioned in all 13 colonies. There were twice as many slaves in New York as in Georgia. One of the grievances in the Declaration of Independence was London’s policy of freeing slaves – euphemistically phrased as “exciting domestic insurrection.”

In 1783, when the British army withdrew from an independent United States, at least 18,000 slaves freed by the Crown joined the British exodus.

The Stars and Stripes remained a symbol of sedition after the country achieved independence. Six years later, the first republic under the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union was overthrown by the Constitutional Convention.

The United States recognized the right of secession even after 1789. The right of secession from the second republic was explicitly reserved by the States of Virginia, New York and Rhode Island in their documents ratifying the Constitution.

It was the Stars and Stripes, not the Confederate Battle Flag that became the symbol of sedition in 1861. Lincoln overthrew the second republic established by the U.S. Constitution when he launched his war against the South [Note: Article III, Section 3, reads: “Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”].

As the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the “Prize Cases” (December 1862): “[Congress] cannot declare war against a State or any number of States by virtue of any clause in the Constitution . . . [The President] has no power to initiate or declare war against a foreign nation or a domestic State . . .”

The Stars and Stripes became a symbol of total war against the innocent: Food and medicine were contraband; women, children, the sick, and the elderly became legitimate targets. The Emancipation Proclamation was not a call for liberty, but for race war [Royal Governor Lord Dunmore of Virginia emancipated slaves who would rise against their owners and join the forces of the Crown in 1775 – Lincoln emulated this in 1863].

As Lincoln stated: “I have a right to take any measure which may best subdue the enemy; nor do I urge objections of a moral nature, in view of possible consequences of insurrection and massacre at the South.”

Northern whites should not dismiss the idea that the Stars and Stripes could be banned. The [United States] flag was temporarily removed from two schoolrooms – one in California, the other in Michigan – in response to the demand of Third World militants who claimed that the flag was a symbol of “racism” and “oppression.”

As Third World immigration transforms the United States from a European-American majority to a European-American minority nation, the demand to ban the Stars and Stripes will only grow. If the Stars and Stripes is banned, Northern whites will have no one to blame but themselves. For in attacking the Confederate Battle Flag, they have provided the very arguments that most effectively undermine the legitimacy of our national flag.”

Bradley Thomas Dixon, who owns property on the island, told the Charlotte Observer he made the discoveries with a metal detector, while searching for items that may have been exposed by Hurricane Florence.

The weaponry has been examined by an explosives expert and The Topsail Online Gazette reports the armor-piercing projectiles were not in danger of exploding. However, “everybody is urged to use caution if on Topsail Island ... lots of debris still being recovered and cleaned up,” said the Gazette on Facebook.

The list of finds included a 40 mm projectile, 90 mm anti-tank round, piles of shrapnel from detonated incendiary rounds and .50 caliber machine gun rounds, Dixon posted on Facebook.

“We Try to Learn Every Terrorist Attack”: Inside the Top-Secret Israeli Anti-Terrorism Operation That’s Changing the Game

Via Billy

A YAMAM rappeller in uniform pointing a gun

Governments around the world are quietly turning to YAMAM, Israel’s special police force, for help with their most intractable security problems. And now, elite commandos publicly reveal the tactics that have made it one of the most fearsome counterterrorism units in the world.

n a spring evening in late April, I traveled to a fortified compound in the Ayalon Valley between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The location is not identified on Waze, the Israeli-built navigation tool, and so, as far as my app-addled cabdriver was concerned, it does not exist. Then again, the same could be said for its inhabitants: YAMAM, a band of counterterror operatives whose work over the last four decades has been shrouded in secrecy.

Upon arrival at the group’s headquarters, which has all the architectural warmth of a supermax, I made my way past a phalanx of Israeli border police in dark-green battle-dress uniforms and into a blastproof holding pen where my credentials were scanned, my electronic devices were locked away, and I received a lecture from a counter-intelligence officer who was nonplussed that I was being granted entrée to the premises. “Do not reveal our location,” he said. “Do not show our faces. And do not use our names.” Then he added, grimly, and without a hint of irony, “Try to forget what you see.”

Private Bob Shine and the M3A1 Grease Gun: Desperate, Ugly, Awesome

Two of many weapons I had to leave in Vietnam which are now at the bottom of a well and the government refused to pay me for them as they weren't authorized. Paid for my '52 Citroen though. :) The End Of A Republic
On a cold day in January of 1945, an American Infantry Private named Bob Shine was ordered to assault uphill to seize a fighting position occupied by three young German Volkssturm troopers near Salmchateau, Belgium. Shine and two comrades quickly prepared for the mission. These three troopers typically carried .30-06 M1 rifles but appreciated that these long heavy weapons would be less than ideal tools for a chaotic close-range assault. Trading among other members of their unit all three took up M3 Grease Guns. The greasers were relatively new and ugly as sin, but they could be relied upon to provide a proper volume of heavy automatic fire.

Americans Are More Radicalized Than Ever As The Country Literally Spirals Toward Civil War

Via Billy

Now that Brett Kavanaugh has officially been confirmed, it is a good time to reflect upon where we are at as a nation.  And where we are at is a nation that is rapidly moving toward a state of civil war.

At one time we were a nation that was united by shared values, a shared purpose and a shared destiny, but now all of that has been replaced by anger, frustration, bitterness, strife and discord.  The left hates the right and vice versa, and both sides are becoming increasingly radicalized.  And without a doubt we are in a life or death battle for the future of America.  Eventually one side or the other will emerge victorious, and their ideology will become dominant in this country.

This is an fyi for anyone who would like to attend...

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Richmond City Council will take up the resolution introduced by Councilman Jones (Resolution 2018-R073) that asks the Virginia General Assembly to give the City the authority to determine the disposition of the statues on Monument Avenue, which the resolution describes as tangible symbols of oppression. The meeting at City Hall will begin at 6:00 pm. The Jones resolution may be taken up late in the meeting, so patience is required.

It would be helpful to have a good turnout. Please try to attend.

I have had a number of conversations with the editor of the editorial page of the Times-Dispatch beginning with my critical message to him about his "a good first step" editorial regarding the recommendation of the Monument Avenue Commission to remove the Jefferson Davis statue. I believe that he now supports adding rather than removing.

:) Lindsey Graham To Chuck Schumer: ‘If You Wanna Pick Judges,’ Then ‘Win The White House’

I hope everybody running for the House in these purple districts will be asked the question: do you support impeaching Judge Kavanaugh based on five allegations, none of which could be corroborated? Do you want an outcome so badly that you would basically turn the law upside down?

All I can say is that this is going to the streets at the ballot box. I've never campaigned against a colleague in my life. That's about to change. I'm gonna go throughout this country and let people in these, you know, purple states, red states where Trump won know what I think about this process.

Comment on "The Liar Christine Ford"

 The Liar Christine Ford

All one has to do is just connect the dots, Dr.Fords father is a 40 YEAR CIA EMPLOYEE, She herself evaluated recruits for the CIA, HER FRIEND Mclean a retired a FBI person, and friend Ford knew about self hypnosis did a report on it in 08, changed her story four times hired by Feinstein's recommendation lawyer Katz utmost hard left socialist who was very and still is uncooperative with GOP Senate. Not to be outdone Schumer, 'I'll fight you with everything I got and this was it in part.

So you know from the get go they tried to stack it against him thinking he would fold like a chair not able to defend himself but Brett brought two things to counter them A. his calendar from the time period in question and B. righteous indignation, not anger to the table. SEN DEM'S all clamored for FBI investigation Brett already had six FBI investigations. GOP SEN Flake got hammered in an elevator by an illegal touting her sex abuse and Flake folded working out with COONS a one week limited in scope FBI investigation i.e. number 7 for Brett. Now this FBI investigation was a supplemental to what was already on the books.

I had one every five years in my job, so I know what its about , it really no fun to have to scrape up every past detail of your life addresses, friends, associates, memberships, relatives domestic and foreign, countries visited, and more.

Just as soon as it was agreed to by both Senate sides the DEM'S complained A. its not long enough B. not through enough trying to move the confirmation clock as they did earlier by all the delays from Ford's lawyer.

In the end Brett won as they had no real verification to the alleged crime.
