The Attack on “Dixie” in Sports and Music

Sound was the first victim of the attack on southern heritage. In October 1971, the University of Georgia’s “Dixie Redcoat Marching Band”  dropped the word “Dixie” from its name and discontinued playing the song “Dixie” after the National Anthem. Many people, even to this day, will argue that “Dixie” was played and perpetuated to uphold white supremacy. But the tradition goes much further back in college football history, specifically to when the University of Alabama defeated the University of Washington in the 1926 Rose Bowl. The Atlanta Georgian labeled the 1926 Rose Bowl victory as “the greatest victory for the South since the first battle of Bull Run.” The Atlanta Journal argued the football team belonged in the pantheon of Confederate leaders Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson: “The Crimson Tide no longer belongs exclusively to Tuscaloosa and the state of Alabama. It belongs to the whole South just like the Stone Mountain Memorial.” In addition, after the Alabama Crimson Tide returned to the Rose Bowl in 1927, the marching band performed the song “Dixie” as the players stormed the field.

Every now and then one encounters an illustration of what’s wrong with conservatism, inc. that’s so egregious that one feels obliged to comment. And this happened to me just the other day! On June 14 Townhall featured an essay in support of John James, the Republican senatorial candidate in Michigan. This commentary almost managed to get me to donate to James’s Democratic opponent.

For those who don’t know, James is a black former army officer with a distinguished military record, a West Point graduate, and a successful businessman. The Republicans, for all I know, may have made a sound choice in deciding to run James. His standard GOP views and military prowess will probably serve him well in most regions of Michigan. At the same time, James’s racial identity might help him penetrate the powerful Democratic hold in the heavily black Southeastern corner of the state.

‘It’s A Human Right’: Mexican Presidential Candidate On Mass Exodus To America

Fox’s Tucker Carlson noted Thursday that Obrador has previously proposed granting amnesty to Mexican drug cartels.
Mexican presidential candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) called for mass immigration to the United States during a speech Tuesday declaring it a “human right” for all North Americans.

“And soon, very soon — after the victory of our movement — we will defend all the migrants in the American continent and all the migrants in the world,” Obrador said, adding that immigrants “must leave their towns and find a life in the United States.”

He then declared it as “a human right we will defend,” eluniversal.com reports.

President Trump on Friday blasted what he described as a media double standard on immigration, as he honored families whose loved ones were killed by illegal immigrants and accused the press of ignoring them to focus on the plight of migrants caught crossing the border.

After a week of saturation coverage on illegal immigrant parents separated from their children -- a policy Trump reversed under public and political pressure -- the president stressed that so-called Angel Families have been “permanently separated.”

House Passes SNAP Reform With Farm Bill

Via Billy

Capitol building

The House of Representatives passed its annual farm spending bill late Thursday afternoon, shepherding through major reforms to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

The reforms would substantially overhaul the work requirements associated with SNAP, by expanding the age of eligibility and the number of parents who are covered by it. Estimates suggest that anywhere from four to seven million adults currently on the SNAP rolls would be put to work should the requirements changes be implemented. Such requirements are likely to be popular: a 2016 survey found that 87 percent of people support work requirements, including 81 percent living in poverty.

"Dersh thinks Strzok has a lot of dirt on other wrongdoers like Rosenstein at the FBI and within the Obama admin itself and they fear if he is fired he'll start spilling the beans and implicate them in the most serious crime in federal law."

I am convinced and terrified this is true. I am old enough to remember what by comparison seems only a minor transgression by Richard Nixon, did to this country. I am not sure our Republic can withstand what was done and survive. I would like to say Obama was sole cause, but he is just the latest. This has been decades in the making. When it started, how long has this been happening, I do not know. But I do know it started after Nixon left the White House. The FBI and DOJ was fully infected by the time Clinton took office.

Had they not been totally corrupt, he would have been forced to resign. Seriously, the top executive of any company, that was exposed forcing a blow-job from an intern. That would not fly anywhere but the President did it. And did it without any consequences.

Bush became President, 9-11, happened. And any semblance of honesty or justice vanished in the government. I’m not going down the rabbit hole on 9-11, but it happened at a perfect time in history. Technology advanced to the point 100% surveillance was not only possible but easy. Education had been devolving to the point most high school graduates had never taken a civics class. Hell, they didn’t even know what the word meant. The evil USSR was gone, and we needed an enemy. I’m not going to say the American “Shadow Government” planned it. But it was convenient and perfectly timed.

It was under Bush the FBI, DOJ, and others moved from their traditional rolls. They all became weaponized. They moved from servants of government to something darker. They all began aggressively doing their jobs. Not to protect America, but to empower themselves. Each of the alphabet agencies became little kingdoms. Seeking power, influence, money, and dominion. They existed to serve themselves first and foremost.

Then came Obama. A devoted and studied Marxist. An organizer with the smooth skills of the best charlatan. He used his smooth style, amplified by the media spin machine to take control. Like a king of the Middle Ages, he made these agencies, sovereign baronies. And those leading the agencies were knighted the barons of their kingdom. And nothing a baron wants more is to please his king. Because by pleasing the king, the king’s bounty flows to them.

And then came the election. Which I still admit surprised me. Not the outcome but that there was an election. Had Hillary’s succession to the throne not been guaranteed, I still believe there would have been no election. But with the anointed queen poised to replace the king all the barons were happy. Obama would have still held sway and influence. The barons could continue as planned. And America would be one step closer to tyranny.

Then came President Trump. And we can all see the shit-storm the followed.

I fear if America learns the true depth of corruption and treason. America may not survive.

Syrian Christian Priest Claims 80% of Syria Safe: Islamic State ‘Defeated’

 LEBANON-SYRIA-IRAQ-RELIGION-CHRISTIANITY-CHRISTMAS

The vast majority of Syria, about 80 percent, is now safe after more than seven years of war, prompting millions of internally displaced peoples (IDPs) to return to their original homes, a Damascus-based Christian priest who leads a humanitarian aid group declared on Thursday.

His comments came during an an event hosted by the Hudson Institute, which notes that with the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) mostly degraded, U.S.-backed Kurdish forces and their allies now control nearly 30 percent of Syria, while the Russian- and Iranian-backed regime of dictator Bashar al-Assad has consolidated control over much of the rest of the country.

Archimandrite Dr. Alexi Chehadeh, the director-general of the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development (DERD) of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, acknowledged that although “80 percent” of the country is no longer under jihadist control, the people’s humanitarian and stabilization needs have become more pronounced.

Time Forced to Issue Correction: ‘The Girl Was Not Carried Away Screaming’

so called separated family - getty images - john moore

Time magazine issued a correction Friday to an article about the iconic photograph of a two-year-old Honduran girl crying as U.S. Border Patrol searched her mother at the U.S.-Mexico border earlier this month.

The media claimed that the mother and child were separated after crossing the border illegally, under President Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy. However, it emerged on Thursday that the two were never separated at all and are still together.

In addition, the mother had left Honduras without informing her husband. She had also been deported from the U.S. in 2013. And her motives for migrating appeared to be economic, not for reasons that would qualify her for asylum.

For thousands of years, Vietnamese cuisine has taken great pride in its arsenal of preserved foodstuffs. Indeed, the category constitutes some of the most essential elements of Vietnamese flavors — think nước tương (soy sauce), nước mắm (fish sauce) or mắm tôm (shrimp paste) — these are condiments that few dishes go without.

Invasion!

If a million, or more, armed men crossed our border, or any border, it would be considered an invasion, yet if the same number of men, women and children illegally cross our borders, unarmed, seeking our wealth and playing upon our kindness, we are expected, by the Leftists, to welcome them with open arms.

The waves of illegal immigrants entering the USA are an invasion. These illegal immigrants seek to benefit from the generous social welfare benefits handed out to them. Few of them are fleeing persecution. Most are simply economic migrants looking for a better life.

The Globalist/Leftists want them to come here to swell the ranks of voters on their side. That is the plan they openly admit to, yet there is a darker side to their plan. The Far Left, funded by George Soros and other moneyed Globalist Oligarchs, has as one of its goals the destruction of the USA from the inside, by overwhelming the social welfare system, the hospitals, the criminal justice system and the educational system. Overwhelming the System with a huge volume of needy people is their goal. They do not desire to solve problems. They seek to create problems. From the chaos they create, they expect to gain eventual complete power. That is their game plan.

Judicial Watch today released newly obtained internal IRS documents, including material revealing that Sen. The explosive exchange was contained in notes taken by IRS employees at an April 30, 2013, meeting between Kerner, Lerner, and other high-ranking IRS officials. Just ten days following the meeting, former IRS director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner admitted that the IRS had a policy of improperly and deliberately delaying applications for tax-exempt status from conservative non-profit groups.

Image result for 'They Seek Power at All Costs': Levin Says Dems Are Nothing But Hypocrites Over Immigration Detention Protests

Appearing on the Fox Business Network, Mr. Dershowitz  thinks Rod Rosenstein should be subject to a Contempt of Congress charge for not providing documents legitimately demanded by Congress.

Also, he cannot imagine why Peter Strzok STILL has a job at the FBI when he is likely guilty of treason against the United States. Dersh thinks Strzok has a lot of dirt on other wrongdoers like Rosenstein at the FBI and within the Obama admin itself  and they fear if he is fired he'll start spilling the beans and implicate them in the most serious crime in federal law.

For me, it boggles the mind once again, I have to ask the question, "where did justice go?"

When people commit crimes that are punishable by death, like Strzok and gal-pal Lisa Page did, and yet are allowed to keep their jobs and suffer almost no consequence  - something is TERRIBLY wrong with the justice system.

In addition to that, I believe Trump should declassify ALL the relevant docs so that the FBI cannot withhold them on the bogus basis of "national security".........which they have been using as a shield to protect themselves. This is still Obama;s FBI "crew."

If you don't think Obama operated more like a mafia 'don' than a president......when you see how Obama compromised all major federal agencies and turned them into his personal political agents and bullies, you'd have to be as brain dead as Jeff Sessions (apparently) is. .

Valera said the little girl and her mother, Sandra Sanchez, have been detained together in the Texas border town of McAllen, where Sanchez has applied for asylum, and they were not separated after being detained near the border.

Honduran deputy foreign minister Nelly Jerez confirmed Valera’s version of events.

Why Confederate Monuments Matter

First of all, I wish to state that I teach history. I do not try to erase it, and I do not desecrate graves, like the “politically correct” did in Memphis and elsewhere.

I understand why corrupt political nonentities like the mayors of Memphis and New Orleans would want Confederate statues removed. They want to divert the voters’ attention from their demonstrated incompetency and the abject failure of their administrations, especially in the area of crime control, and who better to attack than men long since dead? In Memphis, it also provided a fine smoke-screen.

The mayor transferred a whole city block worth millions to one of his political cronies for $1,000. The fact that they probably broke every Sunshine law and public bidding law ever written is, to them, incidental.

Boston and Newport Slave Merchants

Image result for The Foundations of American Nationality, Evarts Boutell Greene

By the year 1750, Rhode Island had become the center of the transatlantic slave trade as it surpassed Liverpool — while also angering British shipbuilders as their workmen left for New England and better pay. Boston’s Peter Fanueil made his wealth through slaving, and the famous Redwood Library in Newport was built with land and money from Abraham Redwood, who grew rich in the slave trade. The Brown family of Newport, Nicholas, John, Joseph and Moses, who established Brown University, made their fortune in the slave trade.
Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.org   The Great American Political Divide

Boston and Newport Slave Merchants

“British commercial relations with the northern colonies, though important, were less close than with the South and the West Indies. New England had no staple exports to England at all comparable with West Indian sugar or Virginia tobacco. Her fish and lumber were marketed largely elsewhere, chiefly in the West Indies but also in other colonies, in the Azores, and in southern Europe.

From the American point of view the British government ought to have encouraged the trade with the foreign West Indies instead of trying to check it with the Molasses Act. The English authorities were, however, less impressed by [New England arguments] than by the smuggled European goods which came in through this “back door.”

Before, as well as after, the passage of the Molasses Act, sugar and molasses from the foreign West Indies continued to supply the distilleries of New England, whence rum was sent out for use in the Indian trade and in the purchase of African slaves. In this latter trade, Boston and especially Newport merchants competed with those of the mother country.

In the first half of the eighteenth century, Newport became the chief base in North America for the African slave trade. The round of this trade began with the rum manufactured from West Indies molasses. What followed may be illustrated from the correspondence of some of these Newport merchants.

In 1755, for instance, the firm of Wilkinson and Ayrault sent Captain David Lindsay to the African coast, where he was to exchange his cargo for gold and slaves. With his human freight he was to sail to Barbados or St. Christopher, where the slaves were to be sold, provided he could get an average price of twenty-seven pounds for them all, “great and small.” The captain did this business on commission, getting among other things five slaves for his own share.

The profits of this trade, legal and illegal, were building up at Boston, Newport, Salem, and elsewhere a rich merchant class of decidedly cosmopolitan interests.”

The Un-Civil War in Missouri

Following the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854—which permitted Kansas to allow or reject the institution of slavery by popular sovereignty—a destructive and sometimes bloody border war between Kansas and Missouri partisans raged for six years.

In 1860, about 80 percent of Missouri’s population was made up of first or second generation immigrants from other Southern and Border States, but only 13 percent of Missouri households owned slaves. Except for St. Louis, a city of 160,000, where new German immigrants made up a considerable portion of the population, Missouri was solidly Conservative and Democrat in its political leanings. Lincoln ran fourth in the 1860 presidential election, capturing only 10 percent of the vote.

Canada, EU and Germany Signal Compliance With President Trump Trade Demands…

Via The Daily Timewaster

This win needs to be sipped slowly for maximum enjoyment.

First, we would draw your attention to May 23rd, when President Trump announced an instruction to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to begin a Section 301 review of the auto industry a week prior to the implementation of the Steel and Aluminum tariffs.

At the time when all media were discussing other ‘matters’ CTH pointed out the strategy that was visible in the Auto-Sector.  China, the EU (specifically Germany), and Canada were the strategic trade targets in the approach.  About a week later, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland snarkily announced her “sisterhood in trade” with EU Trade Minister Cecilia Malström, and how together they formed a strategy and were going to block President Trump.  They were very pleased with themselves (please watch).

Freeland and Prime Minister Justin from Canada, then strategized with Emmanuel from France and Angela from Germany on how they were going to use the G7 to embarrass President Trump on trade conflict issues via the summit; and subsequent use of media press conferences.  The entire thing back-fired, bigly.  President Trump announced the tariffs would continue until trade reciprocity improved.

Comparing separations

Via Billy

Image result for Comparing separations abortion

All of us, including the Trump administration and Congress, are properly concerned about the well-being of illegal alien children at the southern border.  Apparently, for a number of years, our government, through the Office of Refugee Resettlement has been providing their shelter, food, clothing, and bathroom and shower facilities.  Their stays at the ORR facilities are temporary until they are reconnected with their parents.  So we need not exaggerate our shame and sympathy for the separation of immigrant children from their parents when there is a far more heinous separation ongoing: abortion.

Abortion is the real human separation.  Some may deny that abortion is killing or murder, but no one can deny that it is the unnatural and irreversible separation of two living human entities, offspring ("fetus") and mother.

Put the two separations in perspective.

Poll: 3:1 Public Support for Trump’s Push to End Catch-and-Release

 Looks like it's backfiring.

Democrats are converting their emotional protests against “family separation” into unpopular calls  for the catch-and-release of many Central American migrants into ordinary Americans’ jobsites and schools.

The pre-election, pro-migration push is a huge risk, according to a poll by The Economist and YouGov which shows 3:1 public opposition to the Democrats’s catch-and-release policy. That opposition to catch-and-release was reinforced by President Donald Trump’s June 20 Executive Order to keep families together in detention until their appeal is decided by a judge.

The Economist/YouGov poll of 1,500 adults was taken in mid-June. It shows that only 19 percent of Americans prefer the Democrats’s call to “release the [migrant] families and have them report back for an immigration hearing at a later date.”

The low score included only 17 percent of swing-voters and 7 percent of Republicans, 16 percent of blacks and 20 percent of Hispanics.

In contrast, 39 percent of swing-voters preferred the option of “Hold families together in family detention centers until an immigration hearing at a later date.” Another 18 percent favored separating the families and placing the children in shelters run by a government agency or in “juvenile detention centers.”

Voters Blame Parents, Not Feds, For Border Children Crisis

 Image result for rasmussen polls

Most voters blame the parents of the separated children at the border for the latest illegal immigration crisis, not the federal government.

When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the United States illegally, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 35% believe the federal government is more to blame for enforcing the law. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

To help understand the current political debate over the children issue, a closer look shows that 82% of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60% of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of Democrats think the Trump administration is too aggressive in trying to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States, a view shared by only 23% of Republicans and a plurality (46%) of unaffiliated voters.

Among all voters, 49% say the administration is too aggressive trying to stop illegal immigration. Twenty-five percent (25%) say it’s not aggressive enough, while 21% view the administration’s policies as about right.

Fifty-four percent (54%) agree with President Trump when he says, “The United States will not be a migrant camp. And it will not be a refugee-holding facility – it won’t be.” Thirty percent (30%) disagree, while 16% are undecided.

It also includes moving the federal food stamp program to the Department of Health and Human Services and restructuring the Postal Service, among other changes.

Ryan ruptures with Freedom Caucus - WaPo:
“A House immigration bill meticulously negotiated by Republicans appeared to be on the brink of failure ahead of a planned Thursday vote after House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) and a top conservative leader engaged in an unusually heated floor confrontation Wednesday. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) argued with Ryan in plain view of lawmakers, aides and reporters during a Wednesday afternoon vote — a dispute that Meadows later confirmed surrounded the immigration votes scheduled for Thursday. The typically mild-mannered Meadows could be seen repeating ‘it doesn’t matter’ as Ryan spoke to him, and he walked away from Ryan at one point only to return and continue arguing. Speaking to reporters afterward, Meadows accused Ryan and other House leaders of a bait-and-switch — agreeing to a deal on what would be contained in the compromise legislation only to leave key provisions out of the final text.

Amnesties always result in more illegal immigration and more amnesties. They move the country to the left by flooding the electorate with massive increases in low-information voters. Amnesties and illegal immigration are costly beyond the worst nightmares of taxpayers, and they do severe economic damage to American workers and wage earners. They are near impossible to control. They bring higher crime rates.

By the way, a wall will do little good without an E-Verify system to keep out illegal immigrant workers that drive American wages down. All amnesties bring negative consequences, but any amnesty bill  without a strong E-Verify system hurts American workers and taxpayers and is essentially a surrender to open-border social and political chaos. Such  irresponsibility is nation-destroying in its potential. Voters should throw the proponents and supporters of such legislation out of office in both primaries and general elections. Time is running out to save our county.

Karl Rove was just on Fox pitching for the Ryan bill.

I think Trump would sign the bill if it passes, which would be a major breach in his campaign promises. The consequences would eventually be visible enough to undermine his base and GOP credibility as well.

I continue to be a strong supporter of Meadows and others who fight against the Democrats and against the spineless minority of Republicans who are assisting the Democrats in handing our country over to leftists and big-donor special interests.

Cultural Ion Thrusters

I work in a STEM field and for a while I wanted to be an astronaut, so one of the things that has always fascinated me is the different propulsion systems available and being developed.  One such system is an ion thruster.  A propulsion system with no moving parts, it has a high reliability and incredible efficiency.

Counterbalancing those benefits is a very low actual thrust – I once read, at least as of years ago, that ion thruster force was comparable to a holding an 8 ½ X 11 piece of paper in your hand. But placed on a spacecraft and run continuously, over years it will affect significant changes in that spacecraft’s velocity (speed and/or direction).  In fact, this is one of the kinds of propulsion systems proposed to deflect an asteroid from a possible collision path with Earth, if detected far enough out to get one to that rock and let it run for years.  Force applied over time…

THE LEFT’S LONG GAME

Is The United States On A Road To Becoming Ungovernable?

For a long time I have observed the rancor in modern American political discourse, and I have become concerned about where all of this anger and frustration is taking us.  In order for any society to function, there must be some form of government.  And in order for government to function, a certain percentage of the population has to be willing to submit to the authority of that government.

For example, there will always be a few tax protesters out there that refuse to pay their taxes, but if every single American suddenly decided to stop paying taxes our system of taxation would collapse overnight.  Sure, the government could prosecute thousands of us, but if that crackdown still didn’t motivate people to start paying their taxes there is not much that could be done.  The only reason any form of government works is because enough people buy into the narrative that the government is legitimate and should be respected.  Here in the United States, fewer and fewer people are buying into that narrative.

Ron Paul on border invasion: "That is well organized, and it is well organized by - I believe - the cultural Marxists."

Via Billy

Former congressman Ron Paul questions the sincerity of liberals raging over family separation at the border by describing it as "good politics."

During his Liberty Report broadcast on Wednesday, Paul described the situation at the border as the perfect political issue for liberals to place the blame on President Trump.

"Our borders are a mess as if that is not something new," the former congressman spoke while mentioning that the children are adding a new twist to the conflict. "It has really lead to a lot of confusion."

"Except for the liberals. The liberals are using this for the hill and it's the perfect political issue for the liberals and of course, it's easy to blame Trump."

Ron Paul explained that these types of conditions for how people are treated at the border have existed for quite some time and it's hard to believe that the emotionally driven pushback against Trump's "zero tolerance" immigration enforcement is anything but "good politics."

While my wife Rieko would certainly not be among them, when she was attending high school one of her standard 1953 English text books contained an excerpt from Chapter Seven, “The Mother’s Struggle,” in Harriet Beecher Stowe’s book “Uncle Tom’s Cabin – Life Among the Lowly.” Since, in Japan, any alternate view of life in the South has been confined almost exclusively to the translations of Margaret Mitchell’s 1936 novel “Gone With the Wind” and the film version of her book three years later, Stowe’s distorted picture of the ante-bellum South undoubtedly made a lasting impact on the minds of many young Japanese. Given that the events leading up to the South’s secession and the ensuing War Between the States had received virtually no press coverage in Japan at the time, Stowe’s 1852 work of abolitionist propaganda has had an unusually long history in the country.

Fry them.

In a normal nonprofit, $3.3 million would take a big bite out of any organization's bottom line. But then, there's nothing "normal" about the $477 million dollar Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) -- including its methods, which has the "hate" labelers backing up or crawfishing as we would say in Louisiana.

Earlier this week, conservatives everywhere cheered the comeuppance for SPLC in its legal battle with Muslim Maajid Nawaz, who was listed -- ironically enough -- as an anti-Muslim extremist on the group's website. In its suit for defamation, Nawaz and his Quilliam Foundation won, forcing the SPLC to fork over a multi-million dollar settlement, complete with a voluntary apology. As usual, Morris Dees' group had no real basis for the label other than its disagreement on policy grounds.

Although SPLC has been forced to withdraw or retract other groups and individuals from its lists before (Dr. Ben Carson, for one), this mistake was quite public and, in many ways, quite costly.

"It's a shame that it took impending litigation for the Southern Poverty Law Center to finally set the record straight and admit it was wrong all along," said Nawaz's attorney. Imagine, NRO pointed out, "if everybody whom the SPLC has erroneously smeared over recent years -- the individuals, the groups, the scholars and activists -- took this precedent to launch legal actions of their own?" After all, Douglas Murray went on, "The SPLC has a vast endowment of tens of millions of dollars. But going by this precedent, if everybody decided to correct the lies that the SPLC has taken upon itself to spread over recent years, then the SPLC, which failed to shut itself down when its work was done, could be shut down by the very people it has spent recent years trying to shut up. Which would not just be poetic, but justice too."

Anthony Bourdain: Did Global Cultural Icon Kill Himself or Was He “Suicided”?

The case was closed on the cause of his death before any autopsy or investigation

Did celebrity travel writer, publisher and CNN “Parts Unknown” TV host Anthony Bourdain, possibly the most influential cultural icon in the world – one who spoke truth to power – kill himself or was he murdered?

The sudden, unexpected death of Bourdain, 61, a beloved, effective international diplomat on behalf of humanity, certainly merits investigating.

Some oddities of this case: The only proof he killed himself is one official announcing he had committed suicide; his body was cremated before his family got to see the body and without the conducting of an autopsy; he was the latest in a growing list of celebrities reportedly killing themselves using the bizarre method of hanging from a doorknob; his girlfriend was a self-professed witch; he had been targeted by Hillary Clinton’s operatives; and he had taken on the Mossad. With all of that, isn’t it just common sense to ask a few if not a lot of questions?

 TOUGH STANCE IS VOTE-WINNER

Hungary's parliament on Wednesday approved a package of bills that criminalises some help given to illegal immigrants, defying the European Union and human rights groups.
* New law aims to punish NGOs helping illegal immigrants
* Rights groups say it contravenes European law
* PM Orban cultivates tough anti-immigrant image
* Hungary is home to very few refugees
* Germany regrets Hungary decision to press ahead (Adds German reaction)

The legislation narrows the scope for action by non-governmental organisations (NGOs), making their workers liable for jail terms for helping migrants to seek asylum when they are not entitled to it.
