  1. Wow. Either they think our kids are really dumb or they want to make them dumber.

  2. Watching this video just made me dummer. I thought I knew that 9+6=15 but now Im just so confused. Oh my. What if the equation was 6+9? Do I borrow a 1 from the 6 or the 9. Is there a loan application I have to fill out to borrow the one? How much interest is involved? I just cant take all this stress. Oh what to do. What if 6 doesnt want to borrow 1 to 9. Maybe there are sanctions to consider. Maybe Obama wont let me borrow 1 from Putin. I think Im loosing my mind. Thank you common core.

    2. Ive been hearing about common core for a few years now here in mid WI. We have been fighting it and others keep trying to shove it down our throats the same way they have been shoving all the other liberal crap at us. I have a 14 year old daughter in school and I hope we can keep common core at bay. Now the feds are threatening to give us grief if we dont adopr common core. I believe that in 5 more years Ill be looking to move to a state thats looking to suceede.

  4. Here's the problem - kids don't get their school milk in bottles any more. When I was in the first grade back in 1957, all the children got a snack of a small bottle of milk and graham crackers. There were more than 40 kids in my first grade class in suburban Detroit. There were five Susans, which resulted in me getting a nickname derivative. We all saved our milk bottle caps and used them to do our counting lessons. We memorized counting by 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, etc. by laying out our little milk bottle caps in the proper pattern. That was the first grade. Don't recall being "uncomfortable" except when my teacher swatted my bottom as she walked by me because I was kneeling in my chair trying to lay out all those milk bottle caps. ;(
