A flag flap has created a stir at Windsor High School during the school's Diversity Week.

The rights of students to be able to fly flags of their choosing on school property became a discussion point after a student came to school on Tuesday flying a Confederate flag off the back of his truck.

After the flag was removed by a school administrator, a group of students took issue with the decision and responded by showing up to school the following day flying a variety of different flags, including American flags, a Confederate flag, a "Don't Tread On Me" flag and a Georgia state flag, from their vehicles.

  1. I know I've stated this before, but and again, there would be no controversy had that student displayed the homosexual rainbow flag. After all that shows "tolerance" and respect for the ever so important, "diversity". But in showing the Confederate flag, it shows too that some things will NOT be tolerated and diversity has limits, as to what will be included.
Remember the public education system does NOT have the goal of actually educating young minds, to do so would mean they might think for themselves. They want to create a citizenry that will know just enough to be good workers and will quietly do what they are told and not complain (aka sheeple).
BTW, great painting of a Confederate soldier, Thanks for posting it.

  2. As usual one person complains and the world stops til mr. Butthurt is catered to.

How about instead of focusing on diversity we focus on unity? Common enemy?

    1. Thanks and I have a similar one that was on a 1990 SCV magazine when they published my piece on my great grandfather at Appomattox, but the soldier has blood on his face. I'll have to get it at Dixieland and scan it though it won't be clear like this.

shows of interest so you and I did not see this and scads of others. Purpose,
