VMI Conference Shows ‘Cities Of Light’ To Glamorize Jihad Conquest Of Spain
Worst of all: the organizers of this conference, still scheduled for March 23-25 at the VMI Center for Leadership and Ethics, may impose the political correctness that pervades our military forces and intelligence community. The Virginia Military Institute cadets and faculty will have to sit silent and to submit to this disinformation – because to question this propaganda is, in Shariah terms, to “insult Islam,” or in U.S. government bureaucratic terms, to “violate diversity guidelines.”
Are there no VMI alumni or donors or board members who can intervene? Are there no Virginia state officials – VMI is a public college – who have standing to stop this travesty? Are there no VMI faculty who can assert VMI’s once-respected standards of intellectual honesty and academic rigor and stop this debacle?

"The Confederate flag was removed from the Statehouse dome at the turn of the millennium. It has since flown beside the Confederate monument, which sits at the corner of the Statehouse opposite of the World War II memorial and the African-American history monument. It was removed in a compromise among political representatives, who addressed the concerns of one another in order to better understand opposing groups. Trying to remove a piece of history — my history, not a history of men who hated African-Americans but of men who died to protect their homes — seems disrespectful to that message."

On June 23, 1911 the Miami Metropolis published predictions about the year 2011 from the one and only Tommy "Dumbo Killah" Edison.
Edison makes some amazing predictions about a future of golden automobiles, the discontinuation of gold as currency, the rise of steel and the death of the steam engine.
I'm especially interested in his prediction about books of the year 2011. Edison claimed that books would be printed on leaves of nickel, "so light to hold that the reader can enjoy a small library in a single volume."
He goes on to explain that, "a book two inches thick will contain forty thousand pages, the equivalent of a hundred volumes; six inches in aggregate thickness, it would suffice for all the contents of the Encyclopedia Britannica. And each volume would weigh less than a pound." Sure, but can you play Angry Birds on it?
