Missouri School Destroys Pro-Life Poster

October 18, 2011 was the second annual Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity. The international event asked students around the world to wear red duct tape over their mouths with the word ‘LIFE’ written on the tape. It was estimated that thousands of students from hundreds of schools participated in the event.

Prior to the Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity, a student at Dixon High School in Dixon, Missouri, displayed a poster for the event on the school bulletin board. The same bulletin board displayed posters promoting the Gay-Straight Alliance ‘Day of Silence’ along with posters containing edited photos of students to make them look like blood drenched zombies.

School officials removed the Pro-Life Day of Silence Solidarity poster and tore ripped it into pieces. They defended their actions by saying the poster was offensive.

Matt Sharp, litigation staff counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund say that the school’s actions are a clear violation of the First Amendment rights of free speech and has filed a lawsuit against the school district. Sharp points out that the school cannot pick and choose which posters they will allow and won’t allow based upon which views they support or don’t support. If you allow one, you have to allow all.

Passengers aboard a Continental Airlines flight bound for Houston Tuesday sprang into action to help a stewardess having trouble with an unruly passenger. Twenty minutes after the plane departed Portland, pilots returned to the city, where the FBI was waiting.

Passengers said the unruly man was a problem from the beginning. After boarding Flight 1113, the man became upset because he was not seated next to his friend.

Then after the flight took off, he ignored the “No Smoking” sign and tried to light an electronic cigarette.

A flight attendant asked the passenger to turn off the cigarette, but he refused. The Middle Eastern man started screaming at the smaller woman.

“He was screaming, ‘Allah is great, Allah is great,’” said Nancy Haywood, passenger. “And it kind of worries you when that happens, but believe me, there were enough men to hold him down.”

And they did. Men on the plane jumped up and ran to assist the flight attendant.

“Every guy that was in my area was ready to go,” said Mark Foster, passenger. “It was not even a thought. You can tell buckles were off and people were already leaning toward the aisles.”

Contract and Promise" to Honor the Grounds of the Confederate Memorial Park

These Old Boys are Getting Firing Instructions on Blasting the Walls of the VMFA. It seems that the VMFA failed to Honor their "Contract and Promise" to Honor the Grounds of the Confederate Memorial Park of the R. E. Lee Camp, when Governor Pollard on Bended Knees - "Begged for a Grant Deed from the Lee Camp, to Secure Valued Land of the Soldiers' Home" for the Virginia Arts Association new "Barton Payne Collection". The Lee Camp Members wanting to Protect the Grounds of the Soldiers' Home with "Confederate Memory Projects" Contractually Secured Promises that the Grounds would "Forever be Remembered as a Confederate Memorial Park". And, Yes - that included the grounds the Museum acquired with the "Grant Deed".

Of course many are beginning to understand, It's these Old Boys who made possible the Land "Grant Deed" to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, but In Exchange for that "Grant Deed" - The Museum Promised to Always Promote Confederate History. The Question for the VMFA - "Have they Lived up to the Promise, by Encroaching on the Confederate Memorial Park? Have they Lived up to their Promise to Maintain Confederate History with the "Forced Removal of the Flags at the Chapel"? Have the VMFA Lived up to their Promise with the Placement of Extreme Incongruent and Out of Place Modern Art Stuatory - that should have been Memorial Statuory of Confederates"? Did the Museum Live up to the Promise by Chasing Out of the Confederate Home for Women, Daughters of the Confederate Veterans? Have the Board of Directors Adhered to a Contractual Promise of Placing Confederate Art, specifically in one of the Rooms of the Museum? And, Did the Museum Live Up to Their Promises, when they "RENAMED" the R. E. Lee Camp Soldiers' Home to the Robinson House? Encroachment, Land Grabbing, Disrepect, and Duress in Contractual Issues have to be Dealt with by the Citizens of the South. This Type of Behavior cannot be Tolerated.

These Boys would Surely fire this Cannon at the Wall of the VMFA Museum, if they were Aware that the Museum Under a Vote of their Board of Directors had "Forced" the Lee-Jackson Camp No. 1 to Sign a Lease to the Chapel - "Without Flags", or the Lee Camp would Not have been able to Lease the Chapel. The Museum had already recruited people to show the Chapel that were not part of the SCV Effort to Intrepret the Confederate History of the Soldiers' Home. The Museum Simply Wanted the SCV out of the Museum, and If a Refusal to Sign the "No Flags Lease", Door Locks would Have been Changed, and the SCV Lee-Jackson Camp "Evicted". The Lease was Signed "UNDER DURESS" to Continue the Process of Interpreting Confederate History of the Soldiers at the Soldiers' Home, and the History of the famed R. E. Lee Camp No. 1 C.V. and S.C.V. - the First SONS Camp.

Today, the Commonwealth of Virginia has a Law in Place to Protect "War Memorials" and Especially the altering or Removal of Flags from those Memorials. The Liberal Yankee's at the VMFA could Care Less about the Laws Honoring War Memorials, as they Forced the Removal of the Flags from the Exterior of the Chapel - with an Ultimatium of their Board of Directors: "No Confederate Flags on the Chapel". Although, We Can't Fire that Cannon at the VMFA, We Can Sign a Petition for the Museum to "Return the Flags" to the Exterior of the Chapel. After you Sign the Petition, Please Pass the Petition along to Your Wall and Select Other Face Book Friends to "Fire for Effect". Give them a Blast they Won't Forget.

Ariz. Sheriff Arpaio to Release Probe of Obama Birth Certificate

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he will release the results of an investigation into President Barack Obama’s birth certificate on March 1. The Arizona lawman made the announcement in Maricopa County today at his hometown Republican Lincoln Day lunch and straw poll.

“I had about 250 tea party people, to sign a petition . . . came to me and asked their sheriff to investigate Obama and the birth certificate. So what should I do? Throw it in the waste basket and forget it like everybody else has done?” Arpaio told the crowd, according to a C-SPAN report.

“When I took this mission on, I took it on to possibly be able to clear the president. I was doing him a favor. We’ll see what happens."

Good News/Bad News on the Payroll Tax Holiday

Well, Congress extended the payroll tax holiday—that’s the good news!

The bad news is that you’re gonna get whacked in 2013.

“Without significant tax code changes,” say the folks at PolicyMic, “in 2013, America is scheduled to get hit with what would be the largest tax increase in our history.”

Not only will the $1,000 per year tax holiday for a $50,000 income household disappear, come 2013 all Americans will see the tax on their first $8,700 of income jump from a 10% rate to 15% rate.

That hike will cost the majority of filers an additional $435.

For those eligible for child care tax credits that deduction will drop from $1,000 to $500. The marriage penalty will roar back into effect. The AMT, alternative minimum tax, will finally kick in.

Roll those changes up and a family filing as married with two children making $50,000, will see their taxes increase by basically $2,700.

So it turns out you’re in big trouble. And here Congress thought they were doing you a favor. (Info on the payroll tax holiday and its recent history here.)

The federal government has been paying lip service to the idea that it wants to encourage new businesses and startups in the US. And this is truly important to the economy, as studies have shown that almost all of the net job growth in this country is coming from internet startups. Thankfully some politicians recognize this, but the federal government seems to be going in the other direction. With the JotForm situation unfolding, where the US government shut down an entire website with no notice or explanation, people are beginning to recognize that the US is not safe for internet startups.

Lots of folks have been passing around this rather reasonable list of activities for US-based websites:

0. Get corporate membership with EFF.

1. Identify all applications with user-generated content.

2. Move all associated domains to a non-US based registrar.

3. Migrate DNS, web serving and other critical services to non-US based servers.

4. Migrate yourself to a non-US controlled country.

I'm sorry for US sites and users. Your government is hell-bent on turning the internet into a read-only device like TV, easily regulated and controlled. The population will be required to sit quietly and keep their eyes glued on the screen so they don't miss the ads, with any infringers deemed terrorists and pedophiles and thus deserving of summary punishment by DHS squads.

Hopefully the internet will route around the damaged segment, and the rest of us can continue to enjoy the amazing interactivity it has brought our society.
