The Big Money Behind the Anti-Buchanan Hate Campaign

Via Peter

Following the strategy of their political forebears in the old Soviet Union, today's enforcers of the government's multiculturalism are systematically silencing their opponents. The latest victim is Pat Buchanan. Although Stalin preferred bullets to silence the opposition, his intellectual progeny in the U.S. use lies, smears, and intimidation to arrange media blackouts. Politically, the effect is the same: you never hear from those dissenters again.

Buchanan is the latest victim in a string of hate compaigns from left-wingers that has already claimed the scalps of CNN's Lou Dobbs and Fox's Glenn Beck. MSNBC President Phil Griffin, whose job is to make sure that on-air hirelings follow the party line, fired Buchanan because, he said, the ideas in Buchanan's recent book, Suicide of a Superpower, should not "be part of the national dialogue."

While corporate thugs like Griffin pull the trigger on their victims, the targets are selected by a host of Wall Street-financed left-wing extremists who now decide what can or cannot be "part of the national dialogue."

On paper, Buchanan was targeted by a phalanx of militant left groups led by Ari Rabin-Havt of Media Matters for America, Rashad Robinson of the Afro-racist ColorofChange.org, Janet Murguia of the Hispanic chauvinist National Council of La Raza, and Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League. But if not for their big money backers, they wouldn't have the muscle to silence Tweety Bird.

More From Colonel Cooper

“…It is okay to shoot an unarmed woman in the face at 200 yards as long as you are told to do it by somebody in authority. It is okay to cut your wife’s throat as long as you are rich, famous – and black. It is okay for a special counsel of the federal government to decide that the feds did not fire into the Mount Carmel compound – even though we all saw the pictures of them doing so. It is okay to lie under oath if you are the chief executive officer of the United States."

Terrain, what is obvious and what is not obvious.

Terrain is not just mountains streams and valleys. Those are important, but modern warfare has taken on dimensions beyond simple time and space.

Physical terrain.

In Afghanistan high mountain roads with steep sides made going through them without some sort of aerial platform providing covering fires a dicey proposition at best. However those pieces of canalizing terrain were well known.

Alternately the bad guys would like to hump a Dshka heavy machine gun halfway up some otherwise unremarkable hill and set up a long range ambush to take pot shots at the ISAF patrols 700 or 800 or more meters away before leisurely moving to the backside of the hill and out of line of site.

DOD: 75,000 troops required to secure Syrian chemical facilities

Via Theo Spark

The U.S. military has calculated it could take more than 75,000 ground troops to secure Syria's chemical warfare facilities if they were at risk of being looted or left unguarded, CNN has learned.

The conclusion comes from a military analysis of options for Syria that the Department of Defense is preparing for president should he request it, according to a senior U.S. official.

Securing Syria's chemical sites would be "extraordinarily difficult" given the scope of the problem, a Department of Defense official told CNN.Both officials would only speak on the condition their names not be used because they were talking about military planning.

The U.S. military believes there are 50 chemical weapon and production sites spread across the country with additional storage sites and research centers as well. The cities of Hama, Homs and al Safira, and the port city of Latakia are all believed to house production facilities.

The analysis was provided by the United States' Central Command, which has been considering how the U.S. military would handle potential scenarios should U.S. troops be called in, according to a senior U.S. official with direct knowledge of the situation.

First Communiqué: D-Day Minus Seven

(I’m sending this to the F.R. CW2 list first.)

Want to join a beat-up old ex-Navy SEAL, ocean sailor and book writer on a real-world covert cyber operation? I knew you did. So here’s the deal.

The idea is a national clandestine psyop, using my first novel as a vehicle. On next Thursday, March 1, Enemies Foreign And Domestic will be put into Amazon Kindle’s free library, for a period of up to five days.

Where EFAD’s free download promotion will be different from those of the thousands of fantasy/romance/vampire novels currently offered on Kindle, is that I’m simultaneously coordinating a mass plan to ensure that Operation EFAD goes hyper-viral on all constitutionally-oriented, freedom-loving, and Second Amendment websites and blogs at the same time.

Or on at least on as many as I can reach, and that is where you come in. There are literally hundreds of patriotic websites and blogs, and I can only reach a few. You can reach them all, every last one. And then some. More about this in the next communiqué on D Minus Six.

Despite its many limitations, Twitter will be useful for rapid tactical coordination. Operation Enemies Foreign And Domestic will be code-named #EFAD, in order to use Twitter as an always-open back channel for project updates and participant feedback. By typing #EFAD into the Twitter search field, you will find every new message related to the operation. I am @MattBracken48 on Twitter, I am Matt Bracken on Facebook, and I can be reached by email at steelcutter48 at gmail.com.

My goal is to make the spike in the number of free Kindle downloads for Enemies Foreign And Domestic so dramatic, that the national media will notice the passionate interest in this “dangerous and seditious” novel among the bitter clingers. But this is just the first step of a jiu-jitsu move. The light thrown on EFAD’s sudden nationwide surge in popularity will then be mirrored back onto the federal government’s most egregious usurpations and abuses, and on the mainstream media itself.

The idea is to force open a long overdue national conversation that the elite MSM very much wants to ignore. In large strokes, it is about our federal government morphing into a socialist tyranny before our eyes, a tyranny that is no longer soft, but getting harder with every passing month. Which is it to be: freedom, or tyranny?

The first step in forcing open this dialogue will be to explore the mainstream media’s active collusion in the cover-up of a scandal that is demonstrably orders of magnitude worse than the worst previous scandals, such as Watergate, which was “a third-rate burglary” where nobody was killed. To date, the DOJ’s Operation Fast And Furious has resulted in hundreds of murdered Mexicans and at least two dead U.S. federal agents. But instead of providing real news coverage, the MSM feeds America the pabulum of celebrity worship and an artificially-contrived debate about artificial birth control.

Imagine for a moment if President Nixon’s men, when called before the congressional committees investigating the Watergate scandal, had provided nothing but thousands of pages of fully blacked-out paper. In effect, a giant, bored, “F—k you, what are you going to do about it?” to congress. Then imagine if the Washington Post, the New York Times and the television networks never mentioned Watergate or the hearings, except rarely, and then only to call the congressional investigators partisan hacks who were bent on destroying our beloved President Nixon.

Reverse the party polarity, jump forward through the time warp, and you have the current reality, where gangsters rule the federal government from the White House, the Fast And Furious congressional investigators are impotent buffoons, and the MSM is fully in on the cover-up. Nobody died at the Watergate, but recall what the hysterical 24-7 news coverage of the Watergate scandal and hearings accomplished: the end of a presidency, pronto. And an Attorney General in prison.

In the modern case of Operation Fast And Furious, hundreds of Mexicans were murdered as the result of a diabolically evil plot laid with the sole purpose of discrediting the Second Amendment, by deliberately funneling semi-automatic rifles to known drug cartel killers and assassins. Their goal was to bury our Right to Keep and Bear Arms beneath a mountain of Mexican corpses.

Folks, it doesn’t get much more evil than that.

And we know why these socialist dictators-in-waiting want us disarmed.

In 2012, the fictional premise of Enemies Foreign And Domestic, that a small clique of senior BATFE officials might conspire to arrange a mass shooting into a packed football stadium (also with the intention of discrediting our Right to Keep and Bear Arms), suddenly seems much less far-fetched.

So here’s the plan: on Thursday, March 1, we will engineer a stratospheric spike in the number of free Kindle downloads of Enemies Foreign And Domestic, and continue this operation for up to five days, the max allowable under the terms of the free download program. We will watch the MSM explore this sudden and frightening phenomenon erupting among the unwashed gun nuts and wild-eyed Constitution fanatics. When they predictably condemn EFAD for its fictional assassinations of government officials, and the rest of the story that they will pretend to find so abhorrent, we will shine their own spotlight right back on them, and yell Fast And Furious in their faces!

“Really? Enemies Foreign And Domestic is a terrorist manual? Well, I’ll see your fictional stadium massacre, and raise you a real-world conspiracy to murder hundreds of Mexicans. If you would ever cover the story, instead of covering it up!”

And this can all happen by getting a million or so gun owners and other freedom lovers to download EFAD, totally for free, beginning on March 1st. This will be a coordinated “time-on-target” fire mission. Further communiqués will be forthcoming from EFAD HQ. Search keyword #EFAD on Twitter for other operational updates, including links.

If you email me (steelcutter48 at gmail.com), please include #EFAD somewhere in the subject line, so that I will know that you have been briefed to this point and are up to speed. And keep in mind that while you are all my patriotic friends and loyal readers, at various time I may know you by a screen name, a real name, a website name, or an email address name. It gets mighty confusing, so forgive me if I can’t keep all of your various handles straight.

Black History Month Spotlight - New York Slaves/Slave Riots

Via Bernhard

“Van Renssalaer’s “History of the City of New York in the 17th Century,” (The Negro in New York, New York Urban League, 1931) points out that The Dutch brought the “swarten” to the colony before Manhattan houses were a decade old.” The Dutch brought in slaves from Angola and Brazil, who formed the nucleus of the largest black population in 1750 north of the future Mason-Dixon line. There were large plantations in New Netherland, particularly in the valley of the Hudson River, and by 1638 many of them were cultivated largely with
the labor of Negro slaves.

The Dutch slave code was not elaborate, and manumission was not an unusual reward for long and meritorious service. Although the demand for slaves always exceeded the supply, the number imported by the Dutch never reached such proportions as to cause serious difficulty during the period of their domination.

In 1664, New Netherland fell into the hands of the English, becoming New York, named after the famous Duke of York, and the slave became the subject of colonial legislation. Under the English government, the condition of the slave was clearly defined by law and gradually became one of hardship. On October 24, 1684, an act was passed in which slavery was for the first time regarded as a legitimate institution in….New York. In 1706 a law was enacted stating that baptism of a slave did not provide grounds for the slave’s claim to freedom. A further significant provision was that a slave was at no time a competent witness in a case involving a freeman. In 1715, New York’s legislature enacted a law providing that slaves caught forty miles north of Albany, presumed to be bound for Canada, were to be executed upon the oath of two credible witnesses. Meanwhile, New York City enacted ordinances for the stricter control of slaves.

According to Stile’s History of Brooklyn, “The demand for Neagars” was larger and more steady here than in other colonies of the same latitude, yet slaves were not massed in large plantations, but scattered by twos and threes as household servants among the well-to-do, chiefly in the houses of the aristocracy.”

Free blacks were concentrated mainly in New York City, where they lived in various sections, chiefly around the centers of aristocratic life. The bulk of the black population was in Greenwich Village, centering around Minetta Lane, Christopher and Carmine Streets. The concentration of an increasing number of slaves in the city of New York brought with it increased dangers to the white population. Blacks defied authority and disobeyed laws they considered unjust. Citizens lived in fear and sometimes panic of their enslaved neighbors
or servants, who, in reaction to their own enslavement, were often sullen and defiant.

In 1712, the temper of New York blacks flared up over harsh treatment into a fully organized insurrection, in which twenty-three slaves armed with guns and knives met in an orchard and set fire to a slaveholder’s house. In the melee that followed, nine whites were killed and six injured. In the ensuing trial, twenty-one blacks were found guilty and executed.

In [March] 1741, the rumor of an even larger insurrection called the “Negro Plot,” occurred. After a series of fires, the rumor spread that blacks and poor whites were conspiring to destroy law and order in the city and seize control. After the city offered generous rewards for the apprehension of the conspirators, almost 200 whites and blacks were arrested and prosecuted. At least 100 blacks were convicted, of whom 18 were hanged, 13 burned alive, and almost 70 banished. Four white people, including two women, were also hanged.

At the conclusion of the Negro Plot episode, the Legislature of New York turned its attention to additional legislation in respect to slavery, and still more severe laws were passed governing the conduct of blacks. No single act was undertaken calculated to ameliorate the condition of the slave.”

Fugates of Kentucky: Skin Bluer than Lake Louise

Via Billy

Benjamin "Benjy" Stacy so frightened maternity doctors with the color of his skin -- "as Blue as Lake Louise" -- that he was rushed just hours after his birth in 1975 to University of Kentucky Medical Center.

As a transfusion was being readied, the baby's grandmother suggested to doctors that he looked like the "blue Fugates of Troublesome Creek." Relatives described the boy's great-grandmother Luna Fugate as "blue all over," and "the bluest woman I ever saw."

In an unusual story that involves both genetics and geography, an entire family from isolated Appalachia was tinged blue. Their ancestral line began six generations earlier with a French orphan, Martin Fugate, who settled in Eastern Kentucky.

The first and foremost purpose of government is to create government jobs.........

.........Going back to the early days of American history a time honored tradition of newly elected politicians was to obtain positions for their friends, their nephews and assorted cousins. In those more innocent times appointing someone an inspector of something was a cordial way of repaying a favor. But the problem with inspectors is that they inspect things.
There are only so many idiot cousins you can hire to stamp papers and frown at things until you have to create an entire new department and then a division and then an agency to give them something to do. And that leads to budget drains and an expansion of government authority that interferes with the lives of people who work for a living.

A few centuries later we live in a country where every place that has more than three people living within three miles of each other is overseen by a multitude of agencies with overlapping levels of authority beginning from the locals to the staties and all the way up to Washington D.C. where the swamps were paved over to construct massive buildings full of agencies all descended from the day someone's idiot cousin got a sinecure, a government horse and an inkwell in a city that no one used to take seriously.

Many of us would gladly trade off those buildings and those bureaucrats in return for a few dozen idiot cousins drinking in Washington taverns on the public's dime in a country with no income tax and no one pounding on your door every five minutes because you don't feed your kids arugula, don't recycle your trash and don't care about the latest trendy cause already being written into the state religion.

Unfortunately like rabbits, idiot cousins lead to more idiot cousins. Corruption doesn't stop at a set line, it pushes as far as it can, and when a man with some big ideas gets hold of it, then bar the door because it's DOE/EPA/HUD/DOL time.

The idiot cousins are satisfied to think small. Their ambitions reach as high as a government salary for doing nothing and a few taverns and ladies of the evening to spend it on. A hundred thousand of them can be a problem, but a million of them organized under a creed that has set out to seize power using an unelected bureaucracy is one of those moments when a society must realize that its corruption has become a liability to its own survival.

We are of course far beyond idiot cousin territory.
