Eric Holder’s Parting Advice to America: ‘Read Malcolm X’

 

President Obama’s outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder made an eyebrow-raising book recommendation in his exit interview with Politico on Friday.

Asked by Politico’s Mike Allen to name the one book Holder would recommend for a young man coming to Washington to read, Holder recommended the work of controversial civil rights figure Malcolm X.

“I would hope that I say this not to every African-American of his age but for every American, that you read The Autobiography of Malcolm X to see the transition that that man went through, from petty criminal to a person who was severely and negatively afflicted by race, to somebody who ultimately saw the humanity in all of us, and that would be a book I would recommend to everybody,” said Holder.

Anti-Putin Leader Boris Nemtsov Gunned Down Near Kremlin

 

A gunman murdered Boris Nemtsov, a leader in the Russian opposition and critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the middle of Moscow early Saturday morning.

An anonymous source told TASS that the gunman shot Nemtsov “with four shots from a pistol.” A team is still on site to work the investigation. Putin’s spokesman announced that the president “takes the investigation under his personal control.” Journalists in Moscow went to the scene and posted pictures; a few include Nemtsov’s dead body.

How convenient.

The Department of Justice announced earlier this week that they lacked any evidence to charge George Zimmerman with federal civil rights crimes for the self-defense shooting of Trayvon Martin, a fact completely unsurprising to those who have researched the tri-racial Zimmerman’s background and his diverse group of family and friends.

The inability to charge Zimmerman with crimes he didn’t commit seems to be infuriating to President Obama, and to out-going Attorney General Eric Holder:

Then the men and women on Law Enforcement and other government types should be shitting their pants.

Some federal and local law enforcement groups view the domestic terror threat from 
sovereign citizen groups as equal to -- and in some cases greater than -- the threat from 
foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention.

Seems to me to be a whole bunch of nothing.....right now. These folks aren't a danger....yet. Not unless you try to take their country from them. Steal too many of their freedoms? Yeah, then you can worry.  They won't be a danger to their fellow citizens, but to the government that tries to steal their freedoms?Your fear of right wing people is, at best, overblown..... For now. You really have nothing to worry about.

Here's the ​thing, Boys and Girls: If this were true, and the "Right Wing Extremists" were really a danger, then you folks had better get your worldly affairs in order....'Cause when they decide it is time (and I know and interact with a fair number of those folks you label "Right Wing Extremists") then they are gonna come, and for you, they are gonna bring screaming bloody hell with 'em.....

The U.S. government captured more than one million documents during the May 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Top administration officials initially described it as “a treasure trove” of intelligence on al Qaeda and its affiliates. But more than three years later, the senior DIA official who ran the project, Colonel Derek Harvey, says the intelligence community has fully analyzed less than 10 percent of the collection. Top DIA officials were told directly to stop providing analyses based on the bin Laden documents. The administration had decided to end the war on terror, and no amount of new intelligence about threats from al Qaeda was going to change their minds. So they chose ignorance.

 Barack Obama wants us all to simmer down about Iran. He wants Senator Bob Menendez, a fellow Democrat, and the donors he represents to butt out of the sanctions debate. He wants Republicans to quit crying wolf about Iran’s nuclear weapons program. He wants the media to stop hyping terror threats. He wants the American people in the dark about the secret correspondence he’s had for years with Iran’s supreme leader. He wants John Boehner to be mindful of protocol.
