Rex Tillerson Scolds NATO, Tell Allies to Pay Up

Via Billy

Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson traveled to Brussels today for his first meeting with NATO. While he said the United States’ commitment to NATO is strong, he also told allies that they need to pay their fair share.

Secretary Tillerson gave NATO members less than two months to come up with a plan.

Fox News: ‘In 2014 NATO leaders agreed to move towards a target of spending 2% of of the size of their countries economies on defense. Only 5 NATO countries reach that target including the United States’.

Sanctuary Cities Choose Criminals Over Citizens City: Vow to protect even violent predators

Via David

Attorney General Jeff Sessions warned on Monday that sanctuary jurisdictions risked losing federal grants if they persisted in obstructing the enforcement of federal immigration laws. Billions of dollars in federal law enforcement funding are at stake.  “I urge the nation’s states and cities to carefully consider the harm they are doing to their citizens by refusing to enforce our immigration laws,” Attorney General Sessions said. "Countless Americans would be alive today and countless loved ones would not be grieving today if these policies of sanctuary cities were ended."

Instead of heeding the Attorney General’s sound advice and taking care of their own citizens, city officials around the country are planning to sabotage federal law enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws.

Latest WikiLeaks release shows how the CIA uses computer code to hide the origins of its hacking attacks and 'disguise them as Russian or Chinese activity'

Via Billy

WikiLeaks, founded by Julian Assange (pictured), claims its Vault 7 files come from the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence

WikiLeaks has published hundreds more files today which it claims show the CIA went to great lengths to disguise its own hacking attacks and point the finger at Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.

The 676 files released today are part of WikiLeaks' Vault 7 tranche of files and they claim to give an insight into the CIA's Marble software, which can forensically disguise viruses, trojans and hacking attacks.

WikiLeaks says the source code suggests Marble has test examples in Chinese, Russian, Korean, Arabic and Farsi (the Iranian language).

Surveillance That Led to Unmasking of Private Names Started BEFORE Trump Was GOP Nominee

Via Billy

Senior Fox News Correspondent, Adam Housley has stated that sources are telling him that the surveillance that led to the unmasking of private names of American citizens started BEFORE Donald Trump was even the GOP nominee!

Adam Housley: “Our sources: This surveillance that led to the unmasking of private names of American citizens started before Trump was the GOP nominee.”

Fox News Senior Correspondent, Adam Housley sent out a series of tweets with information from his sources regarding the timeline of Trump surveillance and a little information about who the person is behind the unmasking. He didn’t name a specific name, however; he mentioned that this person his high up in the intelligence community, but NOT in the FBI…

Housley also stated that his sources are not ‘Trump people’, rather just people who are ‘frustrated with the politicalization of our intelligence agencies’.

Brussels fears a Le Pen win could be fatal to the EU.

I certainly hope so! :)

Make no mistake, Brussels is deeply worried about the French presidential election.

If the right-wing populist and full-throated Euroskeptic Marine Le Pen pulls off a victory in the second round of the election on May 7, it could threaten the entire European project, making Brexit look like a walk in the park.

During a recent debate, Le Pen said she wants France to be a “true country” not “a mere region of the European Union.” And though she has appeared to walk back on the idea of taking France out of the EU wholesale, she recently said she still wants a referendum on membership. She has also argued that France should leave the eurozone as well as Schengen, restoring its border controls and reinstating a French currency.

Conservatives Demand IRS Commissioner’s Head In White House Meeting

Via Billy

An off-the-record White House meeting with roughly two dozen conservative leaders Wednesday included explicit calls for President Trump to fire IRS Commissioner John Koskinen, according to a source in the room.

White House conservative liaison Paul Teller organized the meeting Wednesday between Trump staffers and leaders of conservative groups such as the Heritage Foundation and Judicial Watch.

Talk of Koskinen’s firing was part of a larger discussion on clearing out Obama-era personnel from the executive branch where possible, the source said.

The broad consensus among attendees was that Trump needs to clean out Obama-era bureaucrats if he is going to be successful in pushing through his agenda.

Is Putin the 'Preeminent Statesman' of Our Times?

In the new struggles of the new century, it is not impossible that Russia — as was America in the Cold War — may be on the winning side. Secessionist parties across Europe already look to Moscow rather than across the Atlantic.
“Putin has become a symbol of national sovereignty in its battle with globalism,” writes Caldwell. “That turns out to be the big battle of our times. As our last election shows, that’s true even here.”
Putin's approval rating was 86.1 percent in the last week of February.

“If we were to use traditional measures for understanding leaders, which involve the defense of borders and national flourishing, Putin would count as the preeminent statesman of our time.

“On the world stage, who could vie with him?”

So asks Chris Caldwell of the Weekly Standard in a remarkable essay in Hillsdale College’s March issue of its magazine, Imprimis. [How to Think About Vladimir Putin, March 2017]

What elevates Putin above all other 21st-century leaders?

“When Putin took power in the winter of 1999-2000, his country was defenseless. It was bankrupt. It was being carved up by its new kleptocratic elites, in collusion with its old imperial rivals, the Americans. Putin changed that.

Intelligence official who 'unmasked' Trump associates is 'very high up,' source says: Nunes now knows who is responsible

Via Billy

The U.S. intelligence official who “unmasked,” or exposed, the names of multiple private citizens affiliated with the Trump team is someone “very well known, very high up, very senior in the intelligence world,” a source told Fox News on Friday.

Intelligence and House sources with direct knowledge of the disclosure of classified names told Fox News that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now knows who is responsible -- and that person is not in the FBI.

For a private citizen to be “unmasked,” or named, in an intelligence report is extremely rare.

Typically, the American is a suspect in a crime, is in danger or has to be named to explain the context of the report.
