No laws in effect have been effective in stopping gun crime for the simple and obvious reason that criminals don't care about laws. Many who engage in mass shootings have no intention of surviving the experience, so they have no reverence at all for some crime they might commit. You can't prosecute a corpse.

It is so infuriating to suffer the stupidity of the left time after time. The issues are not in dispute by any logical, thoughtful person seeking the truth. Chicago as an example of the leftist utopia that it has been for a century demonstrates that all of their collectivist impulses toward immigration, gun laws, taxes and education prove the fallacy of their arguments. But, collectivists never acknowledge the facts or the truth, they spend all of their time in the future, where everything is better and all of their fallacious beliefs have resulted in an utopian existence. The reason the future is so alluring to them is the present, their present, the present created by their unwillingness to accept some obvious truths is hell.

Liberal guests to Bill Maher: Assault Nazis and scrap the First Amendment

American liberalism is increasingly comfortable with authoritarianism. That's my only conclusion from last Friday's free speech discussion on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."

During that episode, one liberal panelist defended attacking non-violent Nazis, and the other liberal called for shredding the first amendment.

The sad saga began when host Bill Maher referenced a Seattleite who was recently assaulted for wearing a Nazi symbol in public. Maher explained that the incident was totally unacceptable, "… we have to go by principles and not feelings, that's what the other side does. You can't just punch Nazis ..."
"That's what the other side does" was a short-lived sentiment.

The northeastern region of Catalonia, one of Spain's autonomous regions, s threatening to declare its independence from Spain following a disputed referendum that, it says, gave it a mandate to break away.

Spain, which declared the referendum illegal and invalid, says it will do all to maintain the country's unity and keep hold of the region of 7.5 million people centered around the port city of Barcelona.

The two would seem to be about to enter uncharted waters. Here's a look at how Spain got to this point and what may happen next.

The Documentary “The Vietnam War”: Artistic License as History

As time creeps or races by, those who experienced the Vietnam War are fading from the scene and it’s becoming increasingly important to record a history of that war that is truthful.  Increasingly, the written word is being tossed aside in favor of film and the “documentary” – both allow for “artistic license” instead of facts.

Ken Burns and Lynn Novick took $30 million and ten years and used only 80 interviews that, like some others have said, tell how America was wrong, while the communist bloc with the American protestors and politicians were right all along.

Was the American soldier (using this as an all-encompassing term) always right, always moral, always politically correct (especially by today’s standards)? Of course not. Among the many things missing from the documentary were the answers to these same questions of the VC, NVA and the North Vietnamese Government who habitually violated all their agreements, including the Geneva Conventions.

The documentary cherry-picked American actions during the war – just as many predecessors have in books and films. But this was, unfortunately, predictable and expected.

In the news late today, on a nice summery afternoon in early September, I saw live on television a crane removing the large statue of General Robert E. Lee from a park in Dallas. I had to switch channels immediately because I was so upset and fed up with these imbecile journalists bleating the left-wing party line about the nobility of this new war to eradicate the final remnants of the so-called Confederate white supremacy and Southern proto-Nazi racism.

Earlier this year, the great-great-grandsons of Stonewall Jackson wrote a long letter to Slate Magazine, which was republished elsewhere, saying that it was time that their ancestor’s statue be removed from Monument Avenue. They said they were ashamed of the Confederate Cause.
And now Sir Moses Ezekiel, a proud Jewish Confederate and major 19th Century sculptor known throughout Europe, has descendants crying for the removal of his beautiful Confederate memorial from Arlington Cemetery.

Is Paddock A Typical Democrat These Days?

 

I don't usually write a post this close to an event, because I like to have my facts in line before I spout some nonsense, but some things are already clear and I feel comfortable wading in at this point, because many of the issues brought out today have been true for a very long time.

From everything I hear about Stephen Paddock, it would suggest that he was not a violent person motivated by hatred or politics. That is what I hear, but the facts don't seem to line up with that description.

This is the moment police closed in on the Las Vegas shooter and blew off the door to his hotel room 72 minutes after he started opening fire on country music festival revelers, killing 59 and injuring more than 527.

Stephen Paddock, 64, opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas Village from a room across the street in the Mandalay Bay Hotel at 10.08pm on Sunday.

It took police one hour and 12 minutes to locate Paddock in his hotel room on the 32nd floor after they received the first 911 call. Authorities say Paddock, who had been holed up in the room for several days, killed himself before officers breached the room at 11.20pm.

A "Civil War" To Commemorate 100 Years Of Communism?

October of 2017 is now upon us, with a rather fiery beginning in Las Vegas, Nevada, which we will comment on below. This is a very special time for Communists around the world. It is the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution. It is often referred to as Red October. This was the Bolshevik Revolution led by Lenin. Wikipedia says it was "...instrumental in the large Russian Revolution of 1917. It took place with an armed insurrection in Petrograd on the 25th of October (7 November, New Style)  1917." I don't want to go into the whole bloody scenario except to note that the Communists have always been very "date conscious" when it came to big anniversaries such as this. 

If you all remember, we were treated to the first official celebration of Earth Day on the 100th anniversary of Lenin's birth. This was hardly a coincidence!

So what will we have for the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution? Las Vegas just may be a sneak preview.

How about Antifa giving us a "civil war" in the United States?
