A very stringent anti-Klan law was passed by the North Carolina legislature under the direction of Governor William Holden in January of 1870. This was in response to Radical Republican leadership in Washington. True to Washington Radical Republican despotism, it gave the Governor power to declare counties in a state of insurrection and supersede practically all laws and Constitutional rights in its prosecution. Despite a vigorous attempt to enforce the law, Klan activity increased and a top black activist and leader of the League in Alamance County was found hanging in a tree.

Shortly thereafter, Senator John Stephens, a ranking white operative for Governor Holden, seeking evidence for Klan prosecutions, visited a Caswell County Union League meeting. There he handed to each of about twenty members a box of matches with the suggestion that they should be put to good use burning barns. Barns were especially important to Southern farmers. Without a barn a family’s livelihood was severely threatened. The next night seven barns, a row of houses, and the tobacco crops of several prominent citizens were burned.

Southern Avenger arrested late last night in Jackson Park in Charlottesville after tarps covering both the Lee and Jackson were removed SIX times over the past two weeks.

Witnesses report 20+ law enforcement officers, including several in street clothes on the scene, who drew their weapons and actually ordered the accused and other bystanders down on the ground before they made the arrest.

All of this to reportedly prevent citizens from removing tarps that were placed illegally in the first place. It must be a real comfort to Charlottesville citizens to know that their police chief and City Council consider the removal of ILLEGAL tarps the city’s top crime priority, devoting excessive time, manpower, and resources...to protecting tarps.

The Southern Avenger was charged with trespassing... yes, trespassing in a public park... and released on $1,000 bond.

We covered the bond, but many of you have asked how you can help. The father of a Stoneman Douglas High School student is accusing CNN of specifically seeking out survivors of the shooting who wanted to talk about gun control, bolstering another survivor’s claims that the network tried to plant scripted questions at their Wednesday night town hall.

Andrew Klein, a Republican gun-owner and the father of Ariana Klein, a junior at Stoneman Douglas, said on Fox News Thursday that he received a call from a CNN producer the day after the shooting last week.

evidence of just how far the left has sunk the nation into moral depravity and blood lust? Just look at the video of the way members of the audience shouted "Murderer!" and "Burn her!" at the NRA's Dana Loesch during CNN's town hall meeting yesterday. What made it even more repugnant was that the so called moderator, Jake Tapper, sat there in silence and let it continue.

Why don't we just go ahead and revert to the 15th century and the kind of mass hysteria that drove the Spanish Inquisition or the Salem Witch Trials? Because if we don't want to debate issues and have rational discussions that's the direction we're headed. We have the righteous indignation. All that's missing are the scarlet robes of the Grand Inquisitor and the charges of heresy.

It's not Christianity or conservatism or nationalism or American traditionalism or even the 2nd Amendment that has brought us to these depths. It's the left's moral relativism and consistent and constant dismissing and disparaging of those very values that has done it. It They increasingly put on the robes of moral superiority and hold themselves in judgement over any and all who would dare disagree with them. And these people have the gaul to call themselves progressives.

This “mega” flag was raised by the Sons of Confederate Veterans off I-95 in Godwin in Cumberland County.

In the past year, our monuments and memorials have become the new targets of dogmatic, left-wing activists who have now moved on from their attacks on Confederate flags. These activists not only wish to erase Confederate heritage or consign it to obscure museums, but also to eliminate all the symbols of American history that they find politically incorrect.

They do not stop with our monuments and flags, but have already begun efforts across the nation to remove symbols honoring historical figures like Washington, Jefferson and Columbus, to alter longstanding names of schools, and even to banish the National Anthem.

The North Carolina Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, officially began the “Flags Across the Carolinas” program in 2015 as a response to increased efforts to eradicate Confederate symbols in North Carolina and across the nation. The program operates in a manner by which private property owners donate, sell, or lease land to the Division, and Confederate flags of various sizes are erected and flown.

So, students and parents at Parkland, along with anyone else, let's see if I get this right.

This specific officer knew about Cruz's intentions as he was alerted about a prior call to the Sheriff's Office stating that Cruz intended to shoot up a school -- in 2016. He did nothing.

When Cruz did shoot up the school said officer cowered outside, despite being armed and able to offer effective resistance to the attack. He sat outside hiding for four minutes while Cruz slaughtered the kids inside, hearing not only the gunshots but, I'm sure, the screams.
